Have been coming to Par 4 for a few years and I have to say, I prefer to go when Kaitey is bar tending! She has a friendliness about her that makes you feel welcome and pays close attention to the clientele. She goes out of her way to make sure you are getting the service you deserve, right down to the presentation of the food she serves. Altho I usually have to ask who is cooking the food is not always the same, it does depend on the cook.

You could say that we are definitely "regulars" on Monday and Thursdays. What brings us on those nights is Bartender Kaitey! She brings her personality, whit, kindness, and work ethic every time we visit. On nights when she is the only bartender/server she never wavers! She works like a well oiled machine. She is always attentive to guests and make sure that everybody is taken care of. We have a group there on those nights above mentioned and we all feel the same. We view her as part of our family! We enjoy the food such as burgers, wings, fish fry, and of course mile high meatloaf! We love Kaitey and she is the one that always brings us back! Thank you Kaitey!

This place was fantastic. The food, for a small town was surprisingly delicious. Bartenders were absolutely amazing and the other staff were great! Great place to just hang out and play some pool. I'd like to say this is a great place since it's so close to us, but when we went, we were asked to stay ourselves and she'd be there "in a bit". Not sure what their definition of a "bit" is, but after trying three different tables to find a clean one, we finally settled on something passable and waited. And waited. And waited some more. As we were leaving, she said "if you could just hang on for a bit"... Yeah, been there, done that, didn't get served. Clearly, you're more interested in the golfers' money than ours. I have to say I put in an order tonight being Friday night minutes before the kitchen closed for delivery thru door dash, and it was 4 meals. We eat out quite a bit and by far the speed and accuracy of the delivery and the quality was worth my bill! One thing I would say is they didn’t add cheese to the cheeseburger we ordered but added onion lettuce and tomato but those were not options to chose and it was for my 6 year old so just cheese would have been what options I’d have picked, also the taco salad has guacamole and we didn’t know that either or we’d have had that on the side but at least it was fair portion on the side of the taco bowl shell so we were able to fix it. The reason I’m doing the review is because normally that close to the end of their shift people slack on the quality of the food over all and for those 2 things to be the only downfalls that’s awesome! The smashed potatoes and French fries were on point! Thanks for a good dinner!

We were in town for Iola car show. Had been here before for a wedding. Enjoyed the food that time. 7/11/24. It took 1 hour and 15 minutes to get our food after ordering. We ordered around 7:10 pm.

2 elk patty melts were borderline rare. I can’t even call them medium rare. The buns were soaked with red meat juice. The waitress never asked how they wanted them cooked. My chef salad was a huge pile of chopped lunch meat on top of slimy old greens that were inedible. The only thing good was the French fries.

Way under staffed. Waitress was really stretched but also needs more training. We didn’t send our food back because we didn’t want to wait for it to be fixed. The waitresses were scrambling for ketchup. There weren’t enough ketchup bottles to go around. That’s not fair to your staff and a small thing that’s easily remedied. I felt really bad for them.

Amazing cheese burgers, great flavored meat, and perfectly toasted buns. Clean dining area and great atmosphere even with a toddler. Our waitress Sam was super knowledgeable about the menu and very friendly. Highly recommend to anyone staying at the Comfort Suites next door. This is our second time going and not having good service. The first time we just left. When they have big tables you won’t get service and the kitchen can’t handle it so just leave. The second time going it was dead and the waitress didn’t come for 10 min. I had to get up and find her. Then it took forever to get our food. She wasn’t attentive during our hole dinner. We got an incredible deal on a smoked brisket chimichanga, and we also tried smoked brisket taco pizza both were fantastic the smoke flavor in the meat was just about perfect, I can't wait to go back and try some of the other menu items! We had a party of 30 for bridal party, after being there 30 to 40 minutes we were told that we had to per each couple and pay $4.50 because they would not break up the ticket for us. Something had changed a week prior on the 10th after speaking to the manager on staff who was not helpful at all let a party of 30 walk out the door, after food and drinks had been placed nicely ask him are you just going to throw all this food away that you just prepared? He said yes and even if you walk out and walk back in and sit individually, I’m not serving you. Very disappointed.

We had a king room with hot tub and fireplace. Very nice room! I wish the curtains were room darkening as the sun woke us up by 6:30am. Bed and pillows were comfortable. We ordered delivery for our room. The burnt ends looked nothing like typical burnt ends. It was just dish of small dried up pieces of meat doused in gross BBQ sauce. I walked in and no waitstaff or bartender was around but regular patrons were behind the bar making themselves drinks and then when no one came to the host stand a person sitting at the bar walked in the back to get someone which I thought was odd.when I did finally meet with staff they seemed so bothered I was there never said hello I had to initiate the conversation and then I asked how her day was no other back and fourth my food was very plain and my wrap was falling apart by the time i got home looked held together with toothpicks but the brisket was good everything else I would rate poor. Sad I eat out every Tuesday with my work friends and we love to try new places guess we won’t be trying here again

We were back from Arizona for the holidays and so wanted a perch fry. Had a reservation for 5 and we arrived on time. We're told they were out of perch. It was only 5pm! I ended up having a Ruben and meat was so tough I could not eat it. Told waitress and she said they would take something off because of it. Took a whole $1.50 off a meal I literally could not eat! Went to Par 4 tonight with family to celebrate my graduation. We selected this place because of the food and very attentive service. The food was delicious tonight and our server was nice. However, our evening went south very quickly after a large group who was extremely loud was sat about 10 feet from our table. The noise was obscene and went on for about ten minutes. Eventually my husband had to speak louder than them and asked them to keep it down. For another ten minutes we were called obscenities that I will not repeat here…in front of our 10 year old and two 16 year old girls. The group moved outside but not one person addressed their behavior or checked in with us. Quite honestly it felt like we were the ones who inconvenienced everyone by asking for the group to stop yelling. Super unfortunate that behavior such as this is tolerated.

Amazing food and staff.
With the bloody Mary and the brisket Macho nachos our meal was off to an amazing start.
We enjoyed delicious cheesy pizza (mine gluten free), to finish out our first night of dining while staying at the resort. The food was all hot and fresh, served promptly even in a busy resturant.
On our second day, the bloody Mary was an absolute must for a repeat.
The brisket from the nachos lured me to ordering a brisket sandwich (no bun for me please!) And I had to try the cranberry apple spinach salad which did not disappoint (next time I'll make it a meal with some grilled chicken!)
The staff was friendly and welcoming. We truly enjoyed our time spent.. the kids enjoyed all of their food and loved the catering to their every wild 4 year old reuqest with patience and kindness. A true gem this place is, truly a family establishment.

Horrible service! Husband never got his drink, had to go to the bar and get it because bartenders were busy on there phones. Once I complained he gave it to us free. My daughter got married there yesterday, where do I start....service was supposed to be outside that was about 3 to 4 city blocks away that people had to walk to. it started to rain so it canceled and they made everyone go inside. We had over 200 people at the ceremony and they only set up 66 chairs and we were told that there was going to be enough seating for everyone so people had to stand in a crowded room. The efficient made rude comments throughout the whole wedding. They were so short staffed. We had to wait 20 minutes for a drink and they ran out of most of beer. Now onto the food. The food was supposed to be served to us and there wasn't any servers. They didn't make an announcement of how people should go get food. When people got up to eat they were screamed at and many people left because of the staff. We didn't have any dressing for the salads until about 45 minutes after we got the salad. The chicken was bloody raw and we have proof. After eating, they only had a 2 people cleaning tables and they were taking so long that the guests had to help put them away. The bartender in main bar at one point rudely screamed at every customer at once because they couldn't handle stocking and keeping up. For 12,000.00 spent they certainly didn't even get half there moneys worth, and not 1 offer on a partial refund. Thank go these are 2 great family's and we made the best of the situation for the kids sake. I told efficient never again, her comment was I hope not!

Decided to try Par Four on 7/29 for dinner. Had a bad experience in the past . Wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. What a waste of time and money . Took twenty minutes after we were seated to get our drinks ordered. Then another fifteen minutes to get them . Four waters and two beers and the beer was warm.Food came thirty plus minutes later. Not even remotely hot . By the way this was Burger, Nachos and sandwiches. Nothing elaborate. So don’t waste your time or money. Took my mom here for the Mother's Day brunch. When I called to make a reservation I specifically asked what COVID precautions were in place, because my mom is immunocompromised. I was told host/servers would be wearing masks and everyone would be socially distanced, which is why we were comfortable coming.

However, not a single employee was wearing a mask. Looking through past reviews here, I can see this has always been the case throughout the entire pandemic. I hope your negligence and 'personal freedoms' haven't killed too many high risk people like my mom.

Oh...and the food wasn't even good. We won't be coming back.

We just recently celebrated my brothers wedding at this venue, The hotel is fully redone and top notch with multiple suite options the good and the Bistro also has some of the best food in Wisconsin. The golf course is one of the best courses to play on in the state, the staff was excellent, polite, and hardworking round the clock for anything we needed. I would definitely recommend Par 4 Resort for an event, or just a weekend getaway.

Called ahead and made a reservation for Saturday evening. When we arrived we were told the dining room was full but we could sit in the bar area. Planner was sitting in plain sight at the receptionist, I was the ONLY one that had made a reservation but we didn't get the dining room. Seated in the bar area, very noisy and only got ten times worse after a wedding party got to the bar. Food was mediocre, my friends slice of meatloaf was ridiculously small (like a kids portion) and looked unappetizing. Wife and I ordered the prime rib steaks medium rare. When we received them almost an hour later they were medium well. We never received the salads that were supposed to come with the meal. My wife had potato soup as one of her sides, I literally believe it was watered down mashed potatoes. That is what it looked and tasted like. Service was extremely slow and poor. The waitress did apologize and informed us that they were understaffed. Bar area became so loud we couldn't hear each other speak at our table. From the reviews I saw I expected a pleasant experience but we are highly disappointed. We likely won't bother returning to give them another chance.

I visited Par 4 for a pickup order. I was absolutely SHOCKED that not one single person in the restaurant (diners or more shockingly STAFF) was wearing a mask! I understand how diners could be maskless while eating, but it seemed like most diners weren't actively eating, but were still unmasked. I just can't fathom how a bartender and three servers can work in food service directly with people and not be masked. It is a STATE MANDATE! On top of that, we spent a good amount on dinner for 4 people and did not get the included cornbread, which we were looking forward to. The only reason I did not give a one-star rating is because the food really was quite good. Unfortunately, I will not be coming back during COVID-19 knowing they are not following the appropriate precautions.

The food was over cooked in the case of my steak. I ordered the "marinated sirloin" that was not marinated which I ordered rare came out medium well and very tough to chew. Other guests in our group ordered food that took them 20 mins to decide they had ran out of. They did make this right for them though. Our food took over a hour to come out so one guest did need to leave to get to the airport and was unable to wait for her food. The bar tender on duty last night was great however! This does make me very sad because the first time we came here the food was awesome and the staff was great... not the case anymore and I would have a hard time justifying the prices they charge for such a poor dining experience.

We were there for a multi class Amherst High School reunion. Approximately 160 people with reservations and they ran out of some of the food. Tenderloin tips were tough,food not hot and too much air conditioning!

Nice facility and the food is good.. However the bartender gave me a big attitude when I told her the old fashioned I ordered didn't taste right..., " yes it did" she replied.. Old fashions don't taste like mint... "whatever, I'll make you another..." also the place is dated and needs some tlc. But the bartender treats everyone like that...

New BBQ menu surprisingly impressed me. Didn't expect BBQ that was several steps above famous Dave's. Brisket melted in my mouth, ribs had a great texture (fell off bone but still semi firm) .

Good service and the food is so much better since it changed over. If you stopped eating here with the old owners do yourself a favor and give it another shot.
