Park Place Cafe: Extremely Disappointing and Unprofessional Service

My recent dine-in experience at Park Place Cafe was truly terrible and one of the most unprofessional encounters.

From the start, my waitress clearly seemed eager to leave and proceeded to rush me out after my meal arrived. The service felt pressured and unwelcome.

The experience turned frankly bizarre and insulting at the end, two of the wait staff—including the waitress who served me—were standing near the counter. They then proceeded to laugh, jump over the counter, and crane their necks to see if I had finally left the restaurant.

This behavior was disrespectful, unwelcoming, and ruined what should have been a pleasant meal. I understand staff may be ready to go at closing time, but this level of rudeness and blatant eagerness to see a paying customer leave is unacceptable.

I usually go to Park Place Cafe in like every like 3 months or something. Only concern is about the price. Every time I come here, the meal is like $50 - $100. Really expensive. Mostly the budget for me is like $75 - $150, I know you might be saying, i don’t know if you think that, but you might be saying. What’s wrong with it?, the money is really not the best right now… But breakfast is good. Service is good, my concern is the price.. I have been here since I was like 2 years old, me and my mom went there first before me and my dad. Other than the price. Everything is fine! I ain’t forcing to but if you want to spend a little less. Maybe go to IHOP. I am not disrespecting this place, it’s really good! I have a feeling that Golden Corral cost the same mostly. But it’s like $30 - $85. 4 stars, I would come here again!

I would consider myself a frequent flyer here. Eating here at least 20x at this point. Only my last two experiences have been quite disappointing. The one before my order today I figured it was just a bad considering they had NEVER done me wrong before. But then I order today. And same experience as last time. The corned beef hash tasted extremely funny. It’s normally one of my fav items. Also I notice despite the website being updated. The prices I was charged did not match prices on website. Food is alright but beware of the fees on your receipt. They charge 3% fee if you use your credit card, another 7.50% if you do take out plus the original taxes. I have never in my life heard of a takeout fee. They already raised their prices, just being greedy at this point.

We walked in this morning and found it very busy—but for good reason! The food was excellent, and the service was impressively fast. I was honestly surprised by how quickly our meals came out.

The menu had a solid variety of options for all ages. My son enjoyed his kids' French toast, my parents were happy with their choices, and my gyro omelette was pretty darn good.

The most surprising part of our breakfast? The orange juice. I know that might seem like an odd thing to highlight, but it was possibly the best orange juice I’ve had in the greater Milwaukee area—and we’re originally from South Florida, so that’s saying something.

All in all, an excellent breakfast, great service, and we’ll definitely be back soon.

My friend and I came in for breakfast this Sunday. It was a great place; the food was done to our satisfaction and very promptly. We both enjoyed their freshly squeezed orange juice and coffee, too. The server was excellent and fast. While this is not a cheap restaurant, the quality of service and food makes it worth the expense.

We've wanted to try this place for a while. We've seen other restaurants come and go here, such as Ruby Tuesday's and The Broken Egg. I've seen the reviews from like a year ago. They may have had a rocky start, but they are shining bright now. Every restaurant's first year or two are the hardest. Our son wanted to treat us to breakfast. This was truly a treat. I haven't been wowed by a restaurant/cafe in a very long time. From start to finish, the service and food were both excellent. I loved the freshly squeezed orange juice. I think we got there at a good time, because these past several months during their business hours, their lot is packed. It got much busier by the time we left. Nothing but good things to say about Park Place Cafe. Definitely recommend. Not cheap, by the way, but you get what you pay for. In my opinion, it's reasonable with the food and service combined with today's economy. Will definitely visit again. Hat's off to all the staff here. Also, if you need more seasoning, you just add it yourself like anywhere else. I got the chorizo skillet and I didn't add any, but some of the rest of our party did. I'm Cajun and am used to heavier salt and other seasoning, but I can tell the cooks know what they're doing for me to be happy with adding nothing. Very well balanced. Not too salty and not bland either.

I ordered from this place because a friend eats there regularly and really enjoys the food. I was going to get my order as usual from George Webb but decided on a whim to order breakfast for my daughter as a surprise. I decided to try the two eggs, sausage and hash browns breakfast. Everything was extra tasty and cooked to perfection. The only thing I was not a fan of was I ordered white toast and I did not recognize the toast as white toast. I should have opted for the pancake instead. I did not eat it. My daughter loved everything on her plate. She had the pancake and egg breakfast and got 2 pieces of bacon with her exceptionally good pancakes. She said they were big fluffy and delicious! I usually only came here during the weekdays, but tried the last 2 Saturdays. Coffee tasted watered down. And the eggs have always been an issue here. I like my eggs over easy but I can't stand when there is any runny white part of the egg. So I switched to ordering it over medium, but they still come out with runny white parts. I've brought it to establishment but doesn't seem to fix anything.

The sourdough was on point the best avocado toast I’ve ever had. The stuffed crêpes came with fresh fruit and a white chocolate pudding filling. It was extremely well balanced, and the crêpes were a great recipe. The chicken fried steak was an ample portion. It came out on two plates. The chicken fried steak was on a plate of its own. We also had breakfast drinks. The oatmeal latte was excellent. Cannot say enough about the atmosphere the service and the ability for the staff to accommodate several different set ups for large parties and small.

First timer. Went today (Sunday) around 1:15pm. Sat down right away. Waitress was friendly and checked on us several times (Ari was her name). Food came out wow fast. Someone else brought out our food which I believe was the owner or manager because he came by a few times asking how everything was. I ordered the omelet with ham and cheddar, side of hashbrowns, raisen toast and a side pancake. Best omelet of my life (fluffy and no brown marks and tasted great). Raisen bread was very good. I asked if it was homemade and Ari said yes but not by them. It tasted homemade. Yum. Everything was great but those are my wow items. My guest had ribeye skillet and he gave it 5 out of 5. Ribeye was great quality and tender. Coffee came in a stay with the table thermostat which I love so you can fill it up as needed. The fresh squeezed OJ was wow. Pricey ($7.50 14 oz) but so worth it. I even saw the bucket of oranges they used next to their juicer machine. Bathroom was clean. I can't think of one bad thing to say. I will be back. And a sweet older lady saying Merry Christmas with a sweet smile (hostess) was a cherry on top. Keep it up.

I love this restaurant! My sister, brother-in-law, niece and I come once a month for lunch. We would come more often but I am in a power wheelchair so transportation isn’t always available. When we do come for lunch, the waitstaff is always knowledgeable and friendly. The owners always stop by to greet us and they are very welcoming. Park Place Cafe is very accessible and accommodating to those of us in wheelchairs. The food is great and, after trying most of the large menu, we have never been disappointed.
