Our service was absolutely top notch. Tori was attentive to us and tables that weren't even "hers".... tableside manner was ten stars. Can't sing her praises enough. The food- ALSO ten stars. Only thing I would suggest- add more beer cheese to the nachos. The chips at the bottom had none- literally the only advice I could give. This is definitely NOT a complaint. IMO no restaurant in this town holds a candle. Great job! We'll be back!!!!!!

Got our group of 7 in on a Friday night super quick. Food was amazing and so was the wait staff! From shrimp and fish to pulled pork, burnt ends, ribs and brisket! Can’t wait to go back!! You won’t be disappointed. The manager even stopped by to see how everything was. Excellent restaurant for Stevens Point, so glad they came to our little town!

First time being here. I really like the fact you can give them your phone number for when they have a wait. Was able to sit in the truck instead of standing. One down fall is the only way you can get fish is the all you can eat which is $18.99 after 3 pieces definitely won't be hungry to order more haha I wish they would just have fish dinners. However the fish was amazing best fish I have had around here. Also the wife tried the brisket, chicken, and pulled pork very good. Stevens Point definitely needed a place like this!

Food came very fast, delicious, one of our sandwiches were a little light on the brisket compared to the slider version. Otherwise service and atmosphere was fantastic. Drinks were also stellar

Had a poor experience with ordering ahead for take out - food took an extra half hour to be prepped once I arrived for their set pickup time, less than accommodating attitude from the hostess. But I appreciate a response and effort to make things right from the restaurant.

Everything was great but the brisket wasn’t as juicy as I’ve had in other places, great flavor though.

Went for lunch and had a 25 min wait which we were expecting and were informed of. I appreciated being able to give my phone number so we could wait in the car rather than standing in the entryway.
I ordered the cheese bread app, brisket philly sandwich and the peanut butter cookie sundae for dessert.
The cheese bread was REALLY good. The chewy-cheesey to crispy crust ratio was spot on for my liking.
Philly was good but really wasn't Philly-flavored, just had the ingredients of a Philly. The hoagie to meat ratio could have been better and required BBQ sauce to offset the dryness of the bun.
The dessert was amazing! Cookie was warm and the ice cream was perfect temp (not a rock).
I look forward to eating here again to try other items.

Our hostess did not let us know about the rib special so we were unaware of it and it sound like it was a good deal, but we got food and it still was good

Oh my gosh it's so delicious. Our waitress Melanie was fantastic, I would give her 10 star's but they didn't give me that option.
This will be a favorite place to eat now.

$8 pints of beer???? Um, ok. Had a brisket app, was decent. Haystack onions, huge portion. Mac n Cheese average. Plan to spend a lot of money. Overcharged me but they sent me a gift certificate for the overage. Should have given me more than the overage. Probably won't rush back over.

First time visiting Parker John’s. Arrived around 11:45 with no waiting. Server seriously pushing alcoholic beverages which was a little overkill. Lunch menu had less variety so several of us went with the dinner menu. Would suggest a small sampler platter for lunch to be added to their menu.. Maybe a few ribs, pork or brisket with a side. $39.99 to try several items for one person for the dinner is higher than normal after reviewing other BBQ restaurants. Definitely needs some southern food added such as collard greens and cornbread. Brisket served as appetizer was excellent. Onion strings were very flavorful. Hard to get over eating a southern pulled pork sandwich on bread from Italy (ciabatta roll). Would prefer white hamburger bun or Texas Toast buttered and grilled shortly. Sandwich was average but would try something different if I were to visit again. Coleslaw was mayo based but dry. Baked beans had great flavor. Could have used a little more diced meat in it. That’s what gave it the flavor. At least 3 different staff members dropped by the table to check on our party. The restaurant is a nice alternative for the area. If you are not used to bbq and need a change from the typical Mexican Restaurants in that area you will enjoy it.

Great atmosphere and staff, my wife and I went for a later lunch around 2-3PM on opening day so it was decently busy. We got the haystack onion shoestrings, they were delicious and huge! I tried the table BBQ sauces and none of them really stuck out to me but the odd one out would be the Carolina Mustard BBQ as it's tangier.
Portions are large, so my wife and I only got the BBQ platter with three meats and three sides. We got brisket, burnt ends, 1/2 slab of pork ribs with mac & cheese, beans, and sweet potato fries as the sides.
The ribs are not fall off the bone, the servers tell you this beforehand so you know what to expect. Unfortunately, they were dry and needed salt. The spices made it taste drier, and the visual smoke ring was there but it did not have a smokey flavor; you really need the table BBQ sauces for this meat to have flavor. We ended up not finishing it after my wife and I ate one rib each.
The burnt ends looked really good but I was not expecting it to be drowning in sauce, I prefer the sauce to be caramelized. As much sauce as it had, it was also dry, We did not finish it as I had a hard time chewing the larger chunks, almost came out if I didn't have my Pepsi.
The least dry meat was the brisket, it was salted well, but kind of plain. Eat it quick before it gets cold!
The Mac & cheese was a real disappointment, it tasted like Golden Corral's buffet mac & cheese, do not get this unless you have kids who like to eat plain, unseasoned mac & cheese. I enjoyed the sweet potato fries, they stayed crispy, and came with a sweet dip which I paired with my cornbread. The cornbread is one of the better ones I've had, it's not dry and has good texture. The beans were also good, it had chunks of meat (possibly brisket), and a nice sweet and tang.
The stone pizzas sound delicious as well as the bloody Marys. I would be hesitant to order the pulled chicken/pork and smoked turkey given how dry our ribs and burnt ends were.
I would recommend if you're out of spots to try in Stevens Point but would prefer to BBQ at home any day of the week.
