This place is an absolute gem, especially if you must adhere to a gluten free diet. My wife and I recently celebrated our 8th wedding anniversary here and our experience was perfection from start to finish. The food was prepared with care and presented beautifully. The service was just as great! We aren't local to the area, but if we were, this would be a regular go-to. I just wish we had a place this excellent close to where we live!

My husband and I rented the private room to host our wedding reception here and it was the best experience! Brittany was amazing with all of our questions leading up to our wedding day. The staff was great, Aaron, our server was so sweet and attentive, he made our night so fun! The food was amazing, the room was a great size, not too big or small, great for an intimate setting. All of our guests loved the food and drinks. I would highly recommend hosting a party here! Thank you ParkSide 23 for making our wedding night one to remember!

We held our post wedding Dinner in the private room here and it was everything we could have dreamed of and more! The space was large and private, we fit 30 people in the room with a small table for a cake and there was plenty of room to move around. We brought our own cake that they served. Brittany the manager was a dream to work with and made every aspect of our dinner perfect and was amazing with communication and organizing! The food was of course the best and all our guests loved it. The staff did an amazing job of keeping all our guests fed, drinks full and us in the loop on the timing plans. So nice and friendly! Would 100% recommend to hold private events here! Loved it all, best day of my life!

This restaurant is #1 in my world! I mean this restaurant is EVERYTHING! The service is wonderful; the atmosphere is amazing and the food is delicious. Let me tell you how awesome this eatery is. . . If you don’t have a reservation on a Monday evening, then I hope there is a table available in the bar area for you. This restaurant is SERIOUS. We had the salmon salad, Italian flatbread with pepperoni, sausage, mozzarella cheese, onions and peppers. We also had the wedge salad. It was the best wedge salad I’ve ever had. It had iceberg lettuce, thousand island dressing, cherry tomatoes, bacon, red onions and pomegranates. It was a literally OMG moment. There food is farm to table! So everything is soooo fresh.

The food is AMAZING! Their food has deep flavoring and the farm to table freshness really shines through. They lose a couple stars for their reservation system. You can only call to make a reservation and you can only make it day of. I am writing this review as I am waiting to get ahold of their reservations department I’m already waiting over 10 minutes to make a reservation. Just got ahold of them… took 21 seconds to do it. Please make a better reservation system.

EDIT: took another star because what is this reservation system? Why do you only have two lines? Why don’t you have an online system this is 2025! I called 18 times starting at 10am to get through. When I finally got through 12 minutes later all they had were 4:30 and 7:30 reservations. I’m only doing this because my boyfriend wants to go here to celebrate, otherwise I wouldn’t go through the hassle. Please think of your customers! This is ridiculous!

A great spot to host an intimate gathering- bridal shower, baby shower, birthday, retirement, etc. The limited menu is phenomenal, the desserts are gorgeous and well worth it, and we were able to add a "welcome drink" for our guests when they arrive- a lavender mocktail mojito.
The only thing to note- the service was very slow, so everyone was very hungry by the time we ate and it became a long day. We even had the lights turned down on us as a "hint hint" to leave, when it wasn't our fault for the baby shower running so long. As hostess of the shower I even rushed a pregnant woman through dessert to get the gifts open because of the notably slow service.

The food was great, came out in time, nice atmosphere, yada yada yada all that sort. If that's the sort of thing you look for in a restaurant then I guess it's cool. But if you live in the real world and are looking for a light hearted dining experience, DO NOT COME HERE. I told the waiter SIX different jokes and he didn't laugh a single time. He just stared at me. Now let me set the record straight I am VERY FUNNY. This experience REALLY BOTHERED me.
I also think they should get rid of the Friday fish fry. I didn't get it but that's just because i'm afraid of the tartar sauce.
All in all, the Feathernickel family will NOT be returning to dine here again until there is no fish fry, no mayo, and staff who laughs at our jokes.

I went here for a birthday lunch with a good friend. We both had salads. She had the beet salad which had a great presentation. I had the Mediterranean salad and it was outstanding! Our server was very attentive and the atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable yet stylish and upbeat. The only thing I was disappointed by was that the patio was closed and we were hoping to dine outside. The bar area where we ate was kind of loud. We had a wonderful dinner here with friends. First off, the service was terrific! Steve was one of the best servers we’ve ever had! Our bartender was also well above average!

The restaurant has a farm to table model with a far-reaching menu. A number of the offerings are shareable.

We loved the brussel sprouts and the artichoke dip. The house-made sweet potato chips were delightful; we could have made a meal of them. The pork fries were delicious, but very rich. The entrees were all very good! The smoked duck and the veal were real standouts.

We shared a crème brûlée for dessert and it was a perfect finish to the meal.

Went to this restaurant last night with some co-workers. This place was top shelf; everything was clean, service was prompt, and the food was excellent.

Aaron, the server, was very warm and welcoming. I especially liked the fact that he took the time to ask if anyone in the party I was with had any food allergies.

I had the $17 Butter Baked Chicken. OMG, one of the best meals I've ever had. The chicken was well seasoned and perfectly cooked, the mashed potatoes and vegetables were nice and hot, and the piece of corn bread was baked very well.

We both agreed our first experience in the bar area was better than this time. I had amazing green fried tomatoes in SC and wanted to try them here, not realizing it was a salad. The tomatoes themselves were meh. The roasted beets are better! I also tried the pasta that was bland and added chicken for $7 that was dried out. Overall, disappointed with what we ordered this time.

Our waitress was just going through the motions. Our salad and soup were delivered at the same time (about three minutes after we ordered) so no time to enjoy our cocktails. Honey Mustard Fried Chicken Sandwich – Simple in the best way. The chicken was tender, well-seasoned, and paired perfectly with the honey mustard.

Baked Veal Meatballs – Packed with flavor. The sauce elevated the dish even more — highly recommend.

Meatloaf – Solid on its own, but the mashed potatoes and colorful carrots stole the show. Best enjoyed all together in one bite.

Spinach & Artichoke Dip – Creamy, smooth, and served piping hot. No weird chunks, just rich flavor. We loaded it onto chips and bread and still had some left over.

The margarita was excellent. The mashed potatoes seemed like they were from a box along with the gravy. The Amish chicken was excellent. Fine dining, which means high end prices. For what you pay, the food is worth it. We were part of a larger group (~30), therefore had a private room. 2 brothers were our waiters, they were very attentive but as with serving a large group, seemed a little slow, especially during servicing dinner. For the size of our group they could have used a third server. As for the atmosphere, the general interior is nice, but the private room we were in was just big enough, not a lot of room to move around and it was quite noisy.
I plan on going back for a couples dinner to see how the general service and atmosphere are.

My coworker and I came in for lunch to ParkSide 23 last week. The place was quite busy but we were seated right away. Their service was superb, I would say: very fast, polite and great people. Go ahead and make a reservation to this place for a future date night. They book up fast and the food is fantastic.

The vodka sauce risotto with balsamic glaze is quite possibly the best risotto I've ever had. The texture was al dente. The onions were also wonderfully translucent but still had a bite. The acidic balanced the sweet that balanced the savory to make a concoction of culinary art. 9.8/10
The Butter Baked ¼ dark chicken is a bit heavy on the butter, but I'm an idiot for expecting anything else. 6.8/10
The Mashed potatoes are velvety smooth, clearly having been passed through a ricer or mesh screen, perfectly salted, and whipped into an airy cloud. That being said, they are begging to have some fresh cracked pepper in them. 7.2/10
The Seasonal Vegetables (corn and green beans) are slightly over cooked and lacking in flavor but solid. 6.7/10
Cornbread. Look. I'm sorry, but I don't know why I do not like the cornbread. It was fluffy, airy, warm, buttery, and I enjoyed the solid bits of corn mixed in. However, when you make corn bread, it should be at least 75% cornmeal. This cornbread is more wheat flour than cornmeal which is sacrilegious in my opinion. 4.8/10

We are (were) regulars however the quality of the food and service has diminished considerably. We had dinner tonight, the ladies salads were not good, the dressing bland and even the remake wasn’t what it was in the past. My best friends Friday fish was served with cold fries, he didn’t eat any of them and didn’t want to say anything but was disappointed. So that’s 3 out of 4 people disappointed. Now one could say that’s an anomaly but that’s how we felt the last time we left here right before Christmas so that tells me this isn’t an anomaly but rather the new norm. The server was 1/2 absent and admitted she was home from school so didn’t know anything. Well that instills confidence. Was a great place but no longer, we all left saying will not return. Their attempts at a pre new years discount envelope coupon was a joke and misleading based on what the serves told us, which further shows the desperation to try to keep people showing up, half the tables on a Friday night were empty. I wouldn’t recommend it, sad to say as we loved coming here but 4 out of 4 people walked away saying it just wasn’t good anymore and we would spend our money and experiences elsewhere. Thinking back, we had issues with every visit the four of us had here the past five times we have been here, that says something.

More importantly though, they catered our wedding in October 2024 and our food was a hit! People continued to talk about our foods over the holidays, as it was enjoyed that much. For a large gathering, I find this very impressive as other wedding food tends to fall flat for me. Additionally, they worked with us to make almost an entirely vegetarian meal (and appetizers) While most of our guests eat meat, no one complained or had opinions about our food primarily serving vegetables! In Wisconsin, I find this to be mighty impressive as well! Their staff also checked in to make sure that both the bride and groom were satisfied and asked to see if they needed anything which was very appreciated! I asked for additional corn bread and they came back with a whole bowl just for me (the bride). All of their food is INCREDIBLE but I stand that their corn bread is the best I've ever had.

All I can say is WOW!! I cannot recommend them enough.

This was my first time here & it was a really great experience! My mom & I sat at the bar and the bartender, Alex was awesome. He was very friendly & efficient. I have a dietary restriction & he was super helpful in giving me suggestions & making sure the kitchen was aware and could make the adjustments to the plates. (Which were delicious by the way.)
All in all would highly recommend.

A family member had a birthday party in the private room. People raved after about the setting, food, and especially the waiter, but Joe. He was exceptional in multitasking and meeting all the needs of the many guests. Thanks for a great celebration!

We absolutely loved it here. I am someone who can get anxious if the atmosphere is not inviting. They have many gluten free options which made my dining experience over the top. Everything was wonderful!

Warm inviting restaurant. All dishes are interesting, fresh and delicious. Creamed corn and Brussel sprouts are my favorite. Service is efficient but not overbearing. Reservations are taken day of only and must call which is hit and miss. We would eat here more often but it is usually very busy.

Read other reviews before going as my daughter is GF, and the food did not disappoint! Lots of options for GF, and the food was delicious! I had the short rib tacos and my haughty had the butter chicken. So good and no adverse affects for her. We'll be back!!
