I arrived on a Friday at lunch. There were several others seated in the moderate dining area. I was asked to sit where I liked and chose a nearby booth.
I was given a dinner menu but that was replaced with a lunch menu when I asked about lunch specials.
I was given a choice of soup, egg or spring roll and various entrees. I chose the exceptionally excellent Tom Yun soup, spring rolls and the stir fry noodles with beef. This also comes with your choice of hot or iced tea. I chose the hot tea and was brought a small pot and it was very good.
There are several condiments available on the table but none were required for the food was well seasoned and balanced.
The Tom Yun soup was complex and full of flavor. It has a big hit of heat from the chiles and fresh jalepeno swimming in the broth with subtle citrus undertones.
The spring rolls were decent and the beef stir fry was flavorful and a large portion size. It was served with a savory sweet peanut sauce on the side which I found to be a very good compliment to both the rolls and stir fry.
Overall I was very impressed with my first visit and will be looking forward to trying many of the other options on the rather large menu in the near future.

Owner makes all the food knock your socks off incredible!! Crab Rangoon and Egg Rolls are perfect starters, Shrimp and Chicken dishes are so yummy! Be sure to check out this fairly new restaurant; especially if the Mineshaft gives you a long wait time or nothing open at your requested time.

My friend and I had lunch here last week. Not only was our Sesame Chicken meal (including hot & sour soup, and appetizers) delicious but the presentation was impressive. Our food was set before us on white porcelain trays. Beautiful. My third time there and it gets better each time. Definitely coming back.

Hands down, the best crab Rangoon I've ever had the pleasure of trying. I got the sesame chicken and my husband chose the seafood delight - both were absolutely delicious. Our waiter was wonderful and we were super comfortable with our surroundings. The unsweetened ice tea is jasmine (!!!) which was a delightful surprise.

All around, we had a fantastic experience. We're definitely going to be coming back often!

Would recommend the dumplings and fried rice!
The hot & sour soup was not very good, spring roll was not good either.
Everything else we ordered wasn’t bad but wasn’t worth mentioning/ordering again.
Service was mid. Atmosphere is clean & calm.
Would give it another try.

The place went downhill fast. I could hear the tall blonde waitress yelling at one of the cooks in the back. The food really grossed me out this time too. Many menu items were not available and they no longer have sushi (not that I would trust their sushi anymore). I’ve never had an issue at the West Bend location.

We came in on a Saturday for dinner. We noticed a smell right away, from
vacuuming old carpet. Our orders came in record time, too quick to be freshly made. The dishes were good, but if you are sensitive to MSG, we would not recommend them. Sorry!

EXCELLENT! Orange chicken was delicious, Mongolian beef was phenomenal! These meals each had enough food for 3 people. Pot stickers and crab Rangoon were both outstanding! So happy to have tried take out, next time we will dine in.

We ordered by phone for pickup. My protein combo fried noodles only had chicken no beef no shrimp. My husband didn't get his fried rice and our crispy pork spring rolls are extremely different. Not crispy at all !!!! We went back for the fried rice and to tell them we had wrong items. At that time 3 more people came In with wrong items. I questioned the crispy pork spring roll showing her and she said Yes that's fried pork! It's good try, she said. It looks like spam and it taste awful! We've tried so many times now and it seems they're just getting worse. She did comp.our dinner but we also did not get what we ordered!

New place in town. Their other restaurant in a nearby town gets solid reviews. Ordered carryout. Of the 8 items we ordered 6 were wrong. We didn't get the bai me sandwich or the miso soup we ordered. They gave us two of the same thing, mixed up requests for level of heat, etc. Very disappointed. I've heard numerous complaints. They seem to be resting on the laurels of their other location. Hope they straighten up before they lose customers forever.

Order was carry-out, ready in 20 min. I was greeted with a smile and my bag. We ordered Happy Family & Sweet & Sour chicken with LoMien, Chicken fried rice, and crab ragoon. All items were perfectly prepared, meat juicy and tender, veggies crisp and flavorful. This was our 2nd experience, 1st was just as tasty, just missing items. This 2nd round all was perfect! Definitely recommend!

Glad to see someone come in and still keep this restaurant as Asian. It was Chinese prior, now there is Thai, Vietnamese, and Japanese sushi. Need to come back and sample more.

Very good food we had tonight, fast and friendly service. Atmosphere was bland with just wall paper and Booths alongside the wall and some tables in the middle, everyone can see everyone dining. Not a big deal, maybe because it’s a newer business, will definitely be back!!

This is a great addition to the Hartford Community. Took my Mom there with some family for her birthday. The food was fantastic. Everything tasted amazing. We will definitely be regulars at the location.

If there is anything that can be improved, perhaps the timing on the food being served. There were six of us eating and the food seemed to come out two plates at a time over the course of about 15 minutes. Otherwise, two thumbs up! πŸ‘πŸ‘

Stopped in Saturday evening with some family for dinner. First off it doesn’t look like much has been done for a new restaurant to the inside. The menu was new and had lots of items to choose from. The first item we chose was the egg drop soup. They said they no longer serve that. So we didn’t start off very well. So we ordered some dishes and sushi along with pad. Thai. Everything seem to arrive in a reasonable time. Overall, the food experience was average. The sushi was not very good because it tasted like rice roll, not much fish. What put myself over the edge was the bathroom situation. The men’s room was not very clean, the urinal was not working. There was no soap and it just felt dirty. So the whole time eating I wondered how the kitchen situation was. Going to talk to wife into not going there again. unfortunately I can’t recommend the place. Seems like people have other views and maybe we just caught them on a bad day but bathroom situation, that’s all I gotta say. I wish I took some pictures but either take my word or go give the place a try.

Really excited they opened a second location here in Hartford! Pearl of Canton is our favorite restaurant in West Bend and yes, the crab ragoons are just as good in Hartford!

Not your standard Chinese restaurant. We tried Vietnamese, Chinese, and sushi. All were excellent. It’s the kind of place where your server ignores you just enough to KNOW the food is gonna slap. Highly recommend.

Pearl of Canton II is an amazing gem in a town that desperately needed high quality pan-Asian cuisine. I grew up in NYC and am Filipino/Chinese, so believe me when I say that the food here reminds me of my family's own cooking as well as the great pan-Asian scene in NYC. Do yourself a favor and try this spot.

I'm 40 years old. I've ordered sesame chicken my entire life. DO NOT ORDER the Sesame Chicken! You will be very disappointed! Tastes more like general tsos chicken or not even! Rice portions were small and so was the dinner portion. Loaded up on broccoli to make it look like more of a meal than what was actually there. Sadly we will miss china garden and their regular food with larger portion sizes and better price. I DO NOT recommend .

Been dying to try this place when they only had a west bend location but never made it. I live near Erin and as soon as I saw a Hartford location opened up I made it a mission to try, and it did not disappoint! To be fair, I went during some unexpected extreme weather, so I was one of two tables in the place. That said, the service was top notch, and the food was fresh and delicious. I had the pho and a cocktail while seated and ordered several things to go to bring home to the family to try. The pho was "phonomenal" and so was everything else. Can't wait to try more menu items!
