Not a huge fan of Asian food but the fried shrimp were exceptionally good but no cocktail sauce the other foods we tried were not very well described in the menu the hibachi steak was like no grilled steak I ever had at a Japanese or Chinese hibachi it was more like small pieces of steak tips in gravy rice was just okay.
Service was poor we had a trainee that the trainer just dumped off and told her to "handle it" and left her she didn't know the menu didn't know where to begin had to ask for silverware and chop sticks,salt,pepper took her 10 minutes to find them. Dropped off the food at the table never returned to refill drinks or check back.
Doubtful we would return only reason might be there aren't many Asian places and now we know there pitfalls to avoid

I’ve been coming here for a long time and have even recommended this restaurant to many friends and family, but I won’t be coming back. The last couple of times my food hasn’t been as good as it used to be, and today was the worst experience yet. We came in on a Sunday and the place was empty, yet the service still felt rushed. My waitress brought the check only about 20 minutes after serving my dish, making me feel pushed out. We weren’t even given time to finish eating before being pressured to pay. The food was sloppily prepared and not good, and to make matters worse, they served me tea with actual leaves and branches inside — completely unacceptable, like ordering coffee and finding coffee grounds or beans floating in the cup. When I asked them to change it, they brought out another drink that didn’t even taste like the one I originally ordered. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience and I will not be returning.

Everyone needs to order the Saigon Pancake!!! It's hot, but fresh, light but satisfying, and with the dipping sauce, delightfully savory/sweet. Bonus: Gluten free! It's a busy, bustling place, so not recommended for a romantic dinner (think more casual night out). The service was fantastic. First time was a charm but take out leaves much to be desired. Their carry out food is not nearly as good as the food I ate sitting. Had to be the worst chicken fried rice I have ever eaten. It lacked flavor, color, and texture. The portion size is much different as well with take out, as is the flavor. I would eat there again but not get take out. And if the chicken fried rice does not improve.... Panda Express is not far away.

Absolutely RIDICULOUS, there used to be a time I was happy to spend 2-300 dollars on their sushi but my order tonight made me and my wife physically ill and the avocado in the sushi we couldn’t even stick a chopstick through it was that hard and our order was almost 100 DOLLARS!!! Dealt with the manager here today and he was an absolute jerk. I do DoorDash and they only put out half of the person’s order that I was picking up for. They keep all the deliveries on a table. Every restaurant that does pick ups like this, has the full and complete order sitting out and then you take it and leave. I had to come back to get the rest of the person’s order and he got a snappy attitude with me and said that I need to ask someone from here on out and that’s how it works there. Whenever I’m there I take the orders and leave. No one has ever told me otherwise or asked me any questions. I got an attitude back and explained to him that there is no sign stating any of that information and no one has stopped me. I have no way of knowing that. Clearly, the manager or owner doesn’t know how to properly treat guest at his restaurant. I will never eat here.

If there is one place that gets 5 out of 5 stars for food, it's Pearl of Canton. The food is so fresh & tasty & unique. So soo much variety!! Vietnamese, Chinese, Indian, etc. & their sushi!!! Wow!!! The 'Pearl of Canton' sushi roll is a must try!!! The service on the other hand isn't the greatest! They do well up until you get the food. Once you have the food, it goes downhill rather quickly. You just end up waiting forever for even just a check to see if your food is satisfactory. I STILL HIGHLY recommend going here! It's on the pricier side but still was only around $50 for 2 people - with appetizer & sushi plus meals. I've been here multiple times & will continue to go regardless of the service because the food is that. Freaking. Delicious.!!!

This is my third time going here first time doing Carry out. The food is absolutely amazing no complaints at all about the quality or taste.The only downside about the meal was we ordered each meal was supposed to come with two egg roles. When we opened them up the egg rolls were cut up into pieces, which was odd questioning who cuts up egg rolls? Then after looking at it there was clearly only one in each meal “their was only 2 end pieces” when i called back they asked the kitchen about it and they claimed that each meal had two but couldn’t offer any explanation about why there was only two end pieces, when there should’ve been four. They offered for me to talk to the owner since it was a carry out order and I was already home I ended up hanging up and decided just to write a review about it. If I would’ve got a response of them saying they forgot and an apology I honestly wouldn’t have even cared I could’ve accepted that, but the blatant fact that they tried lying about it was aggravating and disappointing. 😕

Outstanding food and atmosphere! The service was mostly fantastic. My only 2 things are: 1) When you have a glass of water, and it's more than 2/3ish empty, then it should simply be assumed that you want a refill since water is also not charged to the bill. 2) I had actually ordered 2 dishes, -the Pho that had both steak and brisket for dine-in, and -the Las Vegas roll to-go. The timing was excellent for the dine-in portion, but I never received the to-go portion. I kind of suspected as much when it didn't show up on my bill.

I'll definitely be going back, though. While they did forget about that portion of my order, the person serving me did very well otherwise. 🙂

I went in on New Year's Eve and had the most horrible experience.
I sat down with my date, and got a menu. The waitress came by twice asking if we were ready, seeing that we were looking at the drink menu and the third time she came by, she told us that there was no alcoholic beverages served (only beer and wine)(although she saw us looking at the "specialty drink" menu the whole time). After thinking about it I decided to get a Blue Moon and my date got a Cabernet. We proceeded to look at appetizers. I was particularly looking at the sushi and specialty rolls. Again she came by
once or twice asking if we were ready to order and the second or third time, she informed us all... By the way, "we are not serving any sushi or sushi rolls tonight!!!"
So now I'm thinking oh great, that would have been all good information to know before or, at least when we were seated. So, now...I reverted back to the appetizer menu and we agreed on an order of potstickers. They came pretty quickly. The waitress put the appetizer between us and walked away without giving us any plates. So, I had to find plates at an empty table. She also didn't offer any chopsticks. So I had to ask for those too. I finally got excited to eat and bit into my potsticker and it was very cold. Then he noticed a fruit fly swarming around our appetizer so me, and my date started swatting at it. We finally killed it and I did finish my appetizer because I hadn't eaten all day and I was starving.
Needless to say, there was no dinner ordered and we left promptly after that without finishing my Blue Moon (that was served with out of glass or an orange garnish!!)
That was not the kind of service. I would expect from any restaurant New Year's Eve! I will never be back!!!

Pearl of Canton is one of our family’s favorite restaurants! We’ve not had any bad experiences since we first started dining here years ago. During this particular trip, it was just my husband and I. We ordered Spring Roll Grilled Pork Sausage, Butterfly Clamari, Combination Pho, Combination ClayPotrice, and a Volcano sushi roll.

The Spring roll was very simple and consisted of vermicelli noodles, lettuce, mint, cucumber and pork sausage. It was very refreshing and extremely delicious when paired with the provided peanut sauce.

The portion for the Butterfly Calamari was quite a bit more than we had been expecting. It really could have been considered an entree. The calamari was not as crisp as I expected, however the calamari was perfectly cooked and paired well with the provided sauce.

The broth for the Combination Pho was unfortunately a bit bland. I wish they had a few more sauces available to add to the Pho as all that was provided was hoisin sauce, sriracha and a mild-sour pepper sauce.

I wanted to deviate from my normal order this time and so I opted for the Combination ClayPotRice and was not disappointed! It was very flavorful and all the ingredients mixed very well together. I appreciated the fact that they had rice on the side and not under the entree as I didn’t want soggy rice.

The Volcano Roll came with a heaping amount of crab on top and was just and good as I remembered.

I ordered food for pickup and everything was good. I later went to warm up the sesame chicken and there was a piece of metal in it which the manager said was from a metal scrubby. He said they would be more careful in the future and refunded me a third of my order. I understand things happen but to me this is unacceptable my child could have ate that and been hospitalized. This is one of our favorite places to go for Asian Cuisine in the area. Their spring rolls with shrimp and peanut sauce are awesome. I adore the ClayPot meal with chicken and rice, and their Pho is our daughter's favorite. The service is usually fast and friendly, and the tables are good to sit at and talk over tea or something from the bar. The Mongolian Beef with veggies is spicy hot, so you may want to order the mild sauce.

My daughter and I stopped in on a whim (3 in the afrernokn). My daughter wanted a bubble tea drink, and Pearl of Canton came up in our search.
Both of us were very delighted to have found this pearl. Our drinks were well-made and delicious. Price is very comparable to other tea establishments.

We also ordered banh mi sandwiches. I give 5 stars for the sandwiches. I have had many of these sandwiches from many places (including country of origin Vietnam). Pearl of Canton's sandwiches were balanced with good amount of meat and toppings. The meat was seasoned well (bbq pork). The bread was decent.
My daughter said we should definitely come back and try the other dishes.

Whenever I come to town and visit, we always go to Pearl of Canton. The food is always amazing and the service is always good, but this time we didn't get our sushi until an hour later. I always get the pad Thai, but this time, it was atrocious the pad Thai smelled like dog food and tasted even worse. We informed the owner, to which they stated it was made fresh. We also had to ask for everything we needed instead of the waitress bringing it out with our food / drink. The waitress forgot multiple drink orders, and the kitchen ran out of salmon, so everyone had to reorder their meal two more times. To top it off, there was hair in the food. Was looking for Vietnamese food in West Bend and found this gem based on reviews. I called to see if it was Vietnamese owned and sure enough it was. Ordered via DoorDash for two orders of Vermicelli pork salad (Bun Heo Thit Nuong).

Dish was so good and reminded back home in SoCal where Vietnamese restaurants are plentiful. I have to put it up there in my top three places that I’ve ever had this dish at. Pork was flavorful, tender and had a charbroiled taste to it. Noodles were not too soft and not too hard. Vegetables in it gave it a refreshing taste when mixed in with the pickled carrots, daikon and diluted fish sauce. Can’t wait to try the pho next time. Will always return if visiting West Bend again.

A surprisingly great pan-Asian restaurant. I’m very picky when it comes to Asian food and particularly Vietnamese cuisine which I grew up eating at home. I thought this place would have a 50/50 shot at being good. I was wrong; it was great. We had the shrimp spring rolls, Singapore noodles, shrimp tempura roll, spider man roll, and tarp smoothie. All of these were delicious and right on point. It’s very rare to find a place that will do Chinese, Vietnamese and Japanese food and hit on 2/3 but all 3 were very good. I definitely will come back and try more of the menu. West Bend is lucky to have a restaurant like this.

We were so happily surprised at how great this restaurant is. Each item we ordered was very delicious and the presentation was great. We have lots of experience dining in legit Vietnamese/Chinese/Japanese restaurants and this food definitely holds up to our standards. We had spring rolls, Singapore noodles, and sushi rolls and each was amazing. The service was so-so but there was only one waitress working and there were lots of other customers. We highly recommend this restaurant!

Our food was not delivered together, there were 2 of us. It was a wait for the second dinner and we got each others. We commented on this and our waitress said it wasn’t her problem. The food was mediocre at best. Won’t be back.

Well decorated easy to find and lots of options depending on your taste. Our family enjoyed this restaurant . It was our first time trying this restaurant we had to ask our server a number of questions and she was very patient and very helpful so we can figure out just what we want. Ask for Carrie is my recommendation she's also the bartender and made us some very delicious cocktails. We met the owner and she was very accommodating and polite her name is Sandy. In addition they provided cloth napkin service at the table . Adequate parking handicap access handicap enabled restaurant. Bathrooms are clean.
Restaurant had very relaxing piano music and was well decorated for ambiance.

Fabulous, fabulous Asian food! Our family definitely is coming back! I’m always looking for places with authentic Chinese… This place actually has Chinese menu items that they can tell customers do not have msg. And the food tastes authentic and homemade! Also, the boba tea is the BEST I HAVE EVER TASTED! We are boba tea fans, so that’s saying a lot. Service was a little slow and it didn’t seem overly busy when we went. But the food experience overcame all of that.

I visited during the construction of the entire downtown area so there was only two other customers at the time. Service was of course great.

I'm new to sushi rolls and only do the cooked variety and the Pearl of Canton nailed it. Soooo delicious 😁

Because I'm a little behind in posting I can't remember the name of the rolls I chose but I believe it was a house favorite maybe even named after the restaurant.

I also tried the egg Roll and they were the perfect crispness. My mouth waters now thinking about it.....guess I need to go back.

The restaurant was clean, bathroom was clean and service was awesome.

I do believe I will go back.

The food presentation was wonderful along with the quantity of food on your plate. Leftovers were taken home. However, The spicy tuna sushi combination was very strange In texture and in appearance. Also, The waitress service skills were lacking. There should never be an empty drink glass on the table for the customer and the customer should should never have to ask for a refill when the place is not busy. I'm not sure if I would patronize this local business again.

Unfortunately I need to edit my review from a few years ago. The food has declined so much. The last several times we’ve gone we’ve had hard rice, dishes are lacking flavor, the sushi wasn’t made correctly. Takeout today was the last straw, they gave my husband the sandwich 20 minutes before the rest of the takeout was ready so when he got back it was soggy. And no apology for the extremely long wait time.

No coordination between their kitchen and sushi bar. Ordered to go and had to wait an additional 35 minutes for the sushi while all the hot food sat on a table getting cold (no warmer, just sitting in the air conditioning). Took over an hour for the whole order.

First time dining here. A great experience. Had the orange chicken and fried rice. Absolutely delicious. Fresh, tender chicken served hot with lots of orange flavor. The two others in my group raved about their meal as well. Cocktails were good. Service was great. Waitress was competent and very friendly. Will be back soon.

Curious if anyone else has had this issue with Pearl Of Canton. I never have used doordash. My husband and I had an extremely busy weekend and decided let’s try takeout. We hear nothing but good things about this place. I went to THEIR website. It gave me the option to pick delivery. I ordered and it was delivered. Apparently they use doordash and the driver didn’t check out with anyone there took my bag but my sushi bag was missing. So I called them letting them know my sushi was missing. I was told since I used doordash I had to call doordash and get a refund or get it redelivered. Since I don’t use doordash or any other delivery service this was all completed from THEIR WEBSITE. I had to search for a phone #. Called door dash. Doordash put me on hold to call Pearl of Canton to verify which they did verify my missing order. The representative told me the assistant manager would be calling me to refund me or have it redelivered within 5 mins. As soon as I hung up I got the phone call. The assistant manager told me that since I used door dash they would not refund my missing items because it was the drivers fault for not checking in or I could pick up. I explained to the manager that this should not fall on the customer. I ordered from THEIR website. I don’t have a doordash account what so ever and it was all done on their website. She sat there and argued with me about it. I couldn’t even get a word in. This was the second time I gave this place a shot and I will not be back. The first time was a year and half ago and our order was delivered and half the order was missing. I explained that to her and she proceeded to tell me that was their old system and she didn’t care and she wasn’t refunding me. This is completely poor customer service, she was extremely unprofessional and rude. This should not even fall onto my lap. Doordash refuses to refund me and so does the restaurant. WHAT THE HELL IS SOMEONE SUPPOSE TO DO???? I guess spread the word to never go there and what a horrible experience I had.

An excellent place to eat for vegans and vegetarians! I stopped here on my birthday and got some excellent sweet potato sushi rolls & tofu lo mein. I've previously had their yellow curry with tofu - which I also highly recommend. They have a huge menu with a variety of Vietnamese and Chinese dishes. Hands down is my new favorite sit-down in the West Bend area.

We dined in for dinner here and got pot stickers, pho, and the dragon roll. The food was truly delicioud as they make both the pot stickers and the broths for the pho themselves! It is by far some of the best pho broth I have had in all the resturaunts I have visited. I would highly recommend this resturaunt to anyone passing by!

First time ordering from this place. My wife and I ordered over the phone from their online menu. I ordered a fried rice and noodle combo that had beef and shrimp. We were told they no longer have that dish, but they have “something on their current menu that is very similar” and could make that up for me instead. When we picked the order up it wasn’t even remotely close to the dish I initially ordered….. they ended up giving me pho with deep fried bricks of rice noodles on the side. I don’t want to completely eliminate them as an option in the future, but I currently have 0 desire to order from them again.

I have been wanting to come to your establishment since it opened that was several years ago. Tonight was the first time and it was not a good experience.!!! we ordered crispy eggrolls and Rangoon for appetizers. They came in room, temperature and burnt. It looks like they have been cooked earlier in the day or yesterday, and warmed up for me.!!! they were burnt on the outside, burnt on the edges of the Rangoon and of course the waitress was offended and after I said four times that this is not fresh food because she wanted to argue with me she planning to come back. We both ordered chicken sesame and again the broccoli was cold. The chicken was room temperature. The rice was just one big glob, and there was barely any sauce on the plate. We had to wrestle down somebody to help with that because our waitress never came back and help with anything no salt and pepper. I had to go up to the front to finder to get knives, she just seem put off by us and like we were an inconvenience for her. The food was just plain blah and I had a hunch on that same girl that got me the pepper for refills on water because our way just couldn’t be fine. she was too busy talking to other people at the bar. !!! I have friends that love it there, but this is not a good experience. I wanted to do the two girls that help with the water in the salt and I didn’t leave anything for the waitress who took care of me because she didn’t take care of me this is one of the worst experiences I’ve had in a so-called nice restaurant!!! I would not recommend it for anybody!

My fiancé ordered Mongolian beef and they put so many chili peppers in her food (she didn’t order nor did the menu state that this was a spicy item)
She choked on these as they were extremely hot!! The sushi rolls we ordered were taken out of the fridge and had been made earlier and we were afraid to eat. I wish I had pictures of all the chili peppers. The Sesame chicken had no sauce and was reheated and tough and the chicken fried rice had zero flavor.
This was 1 hour prior to them closing so we suspect they wanted to get out of there. We Wouldn’t go back- which is too bad because the crab rangoons were delicious.
Bill was 113.00 (with 19.00 service fee???)

Miso soup had no miso in it. I wish I’d try the pho. The dish I had that was supposed to have thin crisp noodle wafers had thick bricks instead. I should probably give this place another try on a busy weekend. Our weeknight table was one of the few tables with patrons.

Tried several of their sushi offerings for takeout. They had issues with their online ordering system so I ended up waiting over 40 minutes after the time my order should have been done. I've been here multiple times. I definitely became a regular. Their tofu bahn mi was my favorite thing to order. It has great flavor!
I order the tofu bahn mi everytime I come for takeout. EVERYTIME it is made differently. Sometimes good, sometimes bad. It is very inconsistent. Sometimes with a lack of the veg. After noticing the inconsistency I started ordering my bahn mi with extra veg everytime.
YES I PAID EXTRA. It was sent with NO VEG AND PILED CILANTRO?! After the 6th time of constantly being wrong. I never went back. I got sick of calling and speaking with the manager about my order being wrong. Great flavor. But staff needs to be trained better.
