First time here and I love the inside, cute and cozy. We will definitely be back on a weekday when it’s maybe less busy. Pesto garlic bread was perfect, and I cannot stop repeating how amazing the meatballs are. Perfect leftovers if you get pasta. Thank you Maria for moving our seats. It was much louder with children, and we totally understand kiddos but we appreciated being moved to a quiet corner. It’s a perfect date place for us and I’m glad we finally got to try it.

Still one of my favorites since Matteo's closed in Waukesha. It's almost a half hour drive for me but SO worth it! The Monday night special can't be beat- $18 for a large 3 topping and a pitcher of soda OR garlic bread! The service is always great, garlic bread buttery and crisp and delicious pizza with ample toppings right up to the crust.

Love this place, been coming here for a long time. Just a couple of things I would address about our visit.
Took my elderly grandparents there last night for dinner. When I called to let them know that we were running a little behind for our reservation, the lady answering the phone yelled, “PEPINO’S PLEASE HOLD!!!!” Super aggressive and she sounded super aggravated. And then as we were leaving dinner, this young girl who was bussing tables was standing behind my husband as he was trying to bring my grandmothers walker over to her. I guess he wasn’t moving fast enough for her because this girl rolled her eyes, shook her head and sighed loudly and shoved her bread plates back onto the table behind me and walked another way. That’s terrible hospitality. I work in a very busy chain restaurant, sometimes our phones are ringing off the hook and we’re on an hour wait. Regardless, if anyone answered the phone like that, one of my managers or our proprietor would pull them from answering phones and retrain them. Our staff would never stand behind a large party and shake their head and be rude because someone was moving out of their way fast enough. That’s absolutely crazy and my mind is still blown at the blatant rudeness.
I love the atmospshere and vibe of pepinos and I don’t think the actions of two workers have any reflection on the owners or what not. The food was amazing like always, and our server who took care of us was very hospitable and pleasant. I just think whoever the lady is answering the phones and working in the front could use some retraining on hospitality. Like I totally understand being busy and on a wait and feeling stressed out, I’ve been working in busy restaurant for a very long time in multiple positions. You just still don’t answer the phone yelling with that kind of demeanor. Takes the same amount of time and energy to calmly say, “thanks for calling pepinos, can you please hold?” Probably takes a lot less energy to say it that way instead of being aggressive.
Maybe let the younger staff know that if they’re going to work in this industry, dont stand directly behind a guest waiting for them to move when they’re with a large party and elderly people celebrating an 85th birthday - maybe try going around them or finding another way to walk or waiting patiently and just giving a smile. There’s just no excuse for that kind of customer service.
I choose to spend my money here because I want to support this business, it’s a staple in the menomonee falls community. Just hope those small things get addressed, especially with some of the other reviews about rudeness from certain staff on here and other sources.
The food and the vibes and the drinks and salad were a hit and very good, as always. Their meatballs on the spaghetti are some of the best I’ve ever had.

It was obvious the hostess forgotten about us During our wait in the foyer a waitress chased down an elderly gentleman and ask why he didn’t tip enough for her service. My husband was the person who had marinara sauce spilled on his jacket, some on his pants and shirt by the server. Yes, it was an accident, but my husband had NOTHING to do with her spilling of the sauce. NOT his arm or any part of his body had anything to do with this accident. In fact, at first, he had no idea that the sauce was on his clothes until another diner at our table told him so as his coat was on the chair behind him.
Your version of the story was a bold face lie!!
That is another reason we won’t be back!

Very Bad Experience
We went to Pepino's for a family birthday celebration. As part of the order, my son-in-law ordered the breaded eggplant. As the order was being delivered, the server stumbled and spilled the entire dish over me onto the floor. There was no apology.
My coat, which was draped over the back of my chair copped the brunt of the spillage, but I also got splashed on my shirt and pants.
After cleaning up the mess, the dinner proceeded until it was time for the bill. The bill was for the ENTIRE order. No compensation for the mess made of my clothes, let alone the possibility of staining of my coat from the tomato marinara (it had only been wiped over)!!
When I asked if there was any compensation for the mess, the server said that she would ask and scurried away to the back. She arrived almost immediately with the amended bill (minus the cost of ONE glass of wine), suggesting the adjusted bill had already been prepared since insufficient time had elapsed for it to be re-rung before her return!!
This was the WORST service that I have ever received at any restaurant. The server was lousy and the compensation for the damage and inconvenience caused through NO FAULT of mine, was beyond. We will NOT be back here ever again.

I was here ten years ago with my 4 year old daughter, I don't know why I haven't been back since, but I went back last week and it was fantastic!

We ordered a 16 inch pizza, which had a nice crispy, chewy crust, with savory sausage, peperoni, onions, black and green olives, and green peppers, the fresh toppings, were delicious, the sauce was robust and very flavorful with just the right herbs and spices.
My daughter and I love pizza and could not be more pleased, the pizza is the best in the area!!! Menomonee falls and Germantown!

We had mozzarella sticks, which were homemade and were very good, the breading was light, crispy, with a nice amount of cheese inside, along side with their delicious sauce for dipping.
Their garlic bread was outstanding and what I loved was it was a sesame seeded loaf of bread, well buttered, topped with seasoning, absolutely delicious. I plan on being a regular customer from now on and will be back to try many of their other dishes from their huge menu.
My daughter and I loved this place! Keep up the great work, your family should be very proud of what you have accomplished. Definitely recommend this place!

It's so so..nothing great, nothing terrible. Probably wouldn't go out of my way to come here. The pizza crust is just a little bit too thick. It's not the cracker thin crust that everyone craves and it's too tough. Like to bite off pieces of a slice it's too tough. There's something off about their dough recipe.

The garlic bread has so much butter on it you'll have to have a blood and cholesterol test the next day.

Ok....soooo pizza is ummm good, I prefer thin cracker crust...it's a little thicker than that. But today I ordered the most expensive thing....the Sicilian Steak....$37.99......I got 3 triangles of soso steak covered in panko? Breadcrumbs? That were bland and tasteless.....and wet.....not crispy....soggy and icky....thankfully my bff was buying but I left the tip....I am always a big tipper...25 plus % but don't waste your money on the Sicilian steak. I saw a review right below this and I just had to respond. I was at the table near by this family and this was not the situation at all. The problem with her salad is warranted but a waitress came over and fixed it right away. But the complaints from this lady continued for almost everything they received. The waitress then brought them boxes to take the pizza to go along with the bill. When the waitress came back minutes later to collect the bill the family berated her and accused her of rushing them out. The lady then swore at the young lady multiple times for no reason other than collecting the bill. This type of behavior from other adults especially to a young adult is unacceptable. Then to write a false review later and hurt a good business reputation is even worse. This is a genuine family owned restaurant run by good people who do not deserve the lies and hate that was spread. I will be back many times and hope to have some better table neighbors.

I came here to a dinner with my Mother who is on the Fire Dept, she had a long day, wanted to get the kids pizza. Our waitress was beyond rude, every time we asked for a refill she rolled her eyes. Gave this spot a try. Ordered a large pepperoni, basil, and garlic extra thin. And a small pepperoni and black olive thin crust. Also ordered garlic bread with marinara sauce. First let me say. Their thin crust is basically hand tossed and the extra thin is a thicker version of a thin crust pizza. Both pizzas graded out to be about a 6.2/10. The cook on them was good. Not undercooked like many chain places do. The sauce is zesty with little to no sweetness. We preferred the sweeter sauce at Demarinis. But if you like a zestier sauce, you will most likely prefer Pepinos. Pizza was a tad greasy. Basil was dried basil, and not fresh unfortunately. But overall, I’d choose this place over any chain. The garlic bread and marinara was a bit confusing. They forgot the marinara unfortunately. So we just got the bread. The garlic bread looks to be French bread with sesame seeds on the bottom. Definitely different as the bitterness of the sesame doesn’t really mix well the buttery flavor of the garlic. 3.5/10 on the bread. Not my favorite, but not my least favorite. 6/10 overall experience.

Family owned and operated; have always loved their pizzas both regular and gluten free, dining in or carry out. Friday we tried two fish fry options; regular cod and a baked cod with lemon butter Angelina sauce carry out. They both had options of French fries or baked potatoes with coleslaw and four slices of Italian bread. The regular fish fry looked a bit odd at first; fish wrapped and deep fried but fish was perfectly cooked and “breading” very light. The baked Angelina cod was a good lemon butter sauce but was swimming in it. Next time I’ll try just the lemon butter but will be back! Very reasonably priced and most affordable in the area and well packaged carry out.
