My husband and I took a chance again to try Perkins here in Eau Claire. This is the 3rd time in 11 years. It’s NEVER been good food. We had a wonderful server. The food basically tasted like food you are forced to eat in the hospital or a nursing home. It gets worse! My husband had coffee and ordered his breakfast. I had a Diet Coke. $46.00 and it was the very 1st time he couldn’t even finish his breakfast. Every bite just made you feel more nauseated. We left to do our grocery shopping and things got much worse. It was the LONGEST GROCERY TRIP we’ve ever had. We were both so sick from the breakfast they served, that we both had to fast walk to the bathroom several times. Coming out of our bodies from top to bottom. It was hard to even grocery shop because the sight of all the food made us feel so much worse. We literally paid more for this breakfast than going to Texas Roadhouse. Every 3-5 years, we decide ‘let’s go to Perkins to see if they’ve any better. Answer is, it’s WORSE!! We also questioned our selves when we pulled in and there weren’t many cars. And the restaurant was dead. Should have been the 1st sign. If we hadn’t paid cash, I would have deny the charges as it was that bad! We both made the decision that we will NEVER eat at a Perkins again! $46 to only make us miserable. I do hope this review is helpful.

My wife and I have eaten at this Perkins for the last 25 years, today we decided to go to breakfast there, my wife had the everything omelet and coffee, the omelet was missing different items to be called an everything omelet so she was disappointed!! I had the short stack of pancakes plus I added one more pancake and a 4 piece side order of bacon with apple juice, for years I have always ordered there pancakes they were really good but today they were a 2 out of 10 our waitress was very politely and friendly but she had been our waitress a lot of times during the years, the price for what we had was $42 plus I left our waitress $8 tip for a $50 breakfast that was probably worth about $15, I don’t know what happened but it really was a disappointment for both of us.

I picked up Mr. Beast Burger right about 12am on a Frida night - the burger wasn't great, but I got Buy 3 Get 3 Free cookies from Perkins and they were fantastic! the menu looks good, but the only experience I have is late night 50% off appetizers - mozzarella sticks were a solid melted blob of mess when I got home and unpacked it - besides the center , which was still raw.... never got back to them to address this, so cannot comment on how they handled a complaint...

The raspberry cheesecake empanadas (I think) were delicious when I warmed the in the air fryer the next day,

Will definitely try them out sometime soon - there aren't a lot of options for late night food that isn't drive through in Eau Claire...

Idk why I even bothered stopping in at this place today. Eggs were undercooked, and cold, looked like the french toast was undercooked. Since I got sunside up eggs, I had to go to the front to ask for a plate. When the lady brought me one, it was dirty with a film of greasy and debrie. And then the second place that was given was also dirty. At that point I just got up and went to pay for my food without touching the French toast or the sausage. Cause I didn't like the idea of consuming potential under cooked pork. They were at least kind enough to waive my bill, but its like when the other owner and my Dad worked here. Food came out correct and service was wonderful. Now its just nothing compared to Altoona's family restaurant here in the eau Claire area. If I were you, I would no longer give business to people who obviously don't know how to run a business.

I have tried to give this place a chance more than a few times. It seems like every time I come here, I get a dirty dish, glass, or piece of silverware. I came here a couple of weeks ago with friends. My friend got a dirty water glass. When I went up to pay, the machine froze up mid transaction. The employee restarted the card machine while it was still frozen. I was asked to try inserting my card again and was double charged. I went back that day with my bank transactions to show the employee. Another lady working came and said it would be about five business days before I would see my reimbursement. I said okay and left the restaurant. It has been over two weeks and I still haven't been paid. Being someone who has worked in the food industry before, I have tried to be understanding many times with Perkins. After this many chances, I am beginning to wonder if it is even worth it. Clean dishes are a basic part of running a decent restaurant. This should not happen every single time a person visits a place to eat. If this is how my unused silverware looks, how is the kitchen going to look, where all of our food sits? I hope that Perkins can figure out a better system for cleaning their dishes and troubleshooting computer malfunctions.

First off Kylee the hostess is the nicest person I've ever dealt with. She seated us in a area that was clearly the waitress response ability (Nancy). We had come in one time a 10:31 am and got done with our meal at 11:15 and Nancy said we did not get free pie because we came in too Early, when in fact other customers were there before us and got free pie on Monday. However on that day the Hostess made good on it because we ask her about that and we are steady customers. Ever since that day if we get seated in her area she completely ignored us & will not wait on us, and the hostess has too. Kylee has to do that , we did not complain or give her a reason to do that. This is the 2nd time this has happened. If I had people like NANCY working for me my business would go belly-up. We went back months later and she did the same thing to a table she was to wait on, I see NANCY doesn't wear a name tag , with all the complaints, I'm not surprised 😒

My hubby and I are self-proclaimed hashbrown snobs! We have been traveling a LOT due to medical issues, which means many meals in restaurants. We love to eat breakfast out, and often times are disappointed by the hashbrowns. I have to tell you; we went to this Perkins Christmas Eve morning before we got on the road for a long trip home. We both had hashbrowns and they were freaking amazing!! Seasoned perfectly, and crispy, but not burnt!!! I enjoy giving restaurant workers positive feedback, as I know they don't hear it enough. I asked the waitress to send the manager over. We explained to the manager that the hashbrowns were cooked to perfection and the waitress was just delightful. She was most excited to hear good feedback!
There was a small mix up with eggs, but it was acknowledged and fixed swiftly! We will be definitely return to this Perkins.

Perkins restaurants have always been a favorite of mine but my experience at the Eau Claire WI restaurant was exceptional. I stopped in for breakfast, country fried steak and eggs with my favorite, pancakes. All the staff were friendly and service was great. When my meal arrived everything was hot, the eggs were done to perfection, the steak was juicy, and the pancakes were perfect. I think this was my best experience in 50 years of dining at Perkins. The rest of the party’s food was barely warm when it finally came out; the other person was finished with their meal by the time it did. Server did not bring out full drink order. The men’s bathroom was closed for the entire duration of our visit. Most Perkins I go to provide a kids placemat and crayons for the children…nothing of the sort here. The parking lot for this place is long overdue for some attention.

I like Perkins, but will not be visiting this one ever again.

We had a great experience with great customer service from Faith and JJ (the young gentleman) on Thursday night 8/8/24. The food was delicious, the service was great and the atmosphere was quite, cozy & relaxing. We love the service. We will be back.

The hostess Faith was very kind and welcoming when seated ensuring we were seated in an acceptable space to ensure maximum comfort. Food was amazing waiter was very attentive to our needs and ensured our experience was up to our liking.

Faith was the most helpful, polite, kind, and welcoming hostess. She went out of her way to make our exeprience enjoyable!! The food was amazing!! I had the teriyaki shrimp, which was very tasty!! Our server was polite and prompt!! We will definitely be back!!
