Our server was amazing. She was covering most of the floor herself. We could see her struggling and we were patient.
Its hard to see a young woman struggle and yet keep trying and yet we could see an older female manager kept disappearing into the back somewhere.
She clearly wasnt interested in helping her younger staff member at all.
It took a long time to get a drink refill no worries we knew she was swamped but then when we got up to pay we looked around and all of the tables were filthy and had not been cleared.
As we were trying to pay to leave someone else was coming in to be seated.
We had to wait while the manager cleaned off a booth to seat the new customer at before we could pay and leave
Most managers actually help their staff when it gets busy. Theyll help serve. Take orders and even clean tables. Not this female not at all. Seems shed rather her staff struggle and run to the back all the time then be of any help to anyone.
Such a shame food was decent. Pie was amazing get a new manager

Our service was really good, but the chicken tenders were dreadfully overcooked. When paying I was asked "how was everything" which is usually just a greeting, but I mentioned that the chicken tenders were badly overcooked and I didn't really eat them. Without asking, they gave me a significant amount off the check. Based on all that, I'll give them another chance.

Coming here was the best decision out of all of the restaurants in Madison, I ordered the chocolate caramel cheesecake platter thats new to their menu, and it was AMAZING. The host that was working Kiya was very polite and I saw her working really hard helping with the customers and even the servers! Also to add Erica was a good server. She took care of me and my family very well, then speaking with the manager at the end of the meal was eye opening of how good of a restaurant this place really is. I 100% recommend coming in to try it out if you havent!

Great place to eat we walked in and was greeted with his friendly smile and a friendly face. 2) when it’s time for your waitress to leave their shift they don’t give you a warm welcome and introduce you to and another waitstaff the original waitstaff will just leave the bill and you never see her again. The Caucasian male manager as well as well as other staff passed out table at least 6 times each, a few different African American woman too, no re/frills no inquiries of anything.

WOW! Yes, we stopped at Perkin's after church today again! We enjoyed Andrew, our server, the food, and coffee! Years ago, the coffee was so watered down that we hated to have breakfast at Perkin's, but since they now have their brand, it is so good! We are grateful for Perkins, their food, their servers, and their coffee! However, we still miss "The Egg and I" whole wheat pancakes! "The Egg and I" will never return, but couldn't Perkins make whole wheat pancakes? They do such a great job at everything else, even their servers, who are always pleasant and helpful! Blessings Perkins always even if you can't make whole wheat pancakes!

So why only 2 stars? Perkins recently started charging an extra 50 cents per egg because of the huge increase in egg prices. So simple math says they are getting $6 more for a dozen eggs. $6 is what eggs cost when they went up. So does that mean that before egg prices increased Perkins were getting their eggs for free, because now they are charging $6 more. Probably not but let's pad some profit in these trying times. Surprise! Egg prices have came down. Has the signs with the price increase came down? Heaven forbid, NO! It's just tiresome hearing the whine about spiking prices and exploiting the situation to pad the bottom line. How about just fessing up?

I've been to alot of restaurants in my time. This place was very organized, very efficient, very friendly. My food order was perfect! I'm picky about my eggs, loved them! My server was very professional and very attentive. The place was busy, yet it ran very smoothly I must say! On the way out I had used the restroom, it was very clean and smelled great! Upon walking in we got noticed but we waited over 5 minutes to be seated when an employee was behind the desk/bakery case. The young man serving us was nice, but the young woman behind that counters unwelcoming eye rolling and scoffing at customers is not welcoming. The portions on the plate were way smaller than normal. Only 4 bites of hash browns is enough!? I prefer a few more bites. Everything else was good with the meal. We had a few laughs at the table while finishing our meal, which seemed to irritate the security guard for some reason unknown to us and he was extremely rude to my husband upon once again waiting over 5 minutes for service. Standing up abruptly and asking "is there a problem" while having his hands on his belt near his gun. Totally uncomfortable going back to this locating ever again due to that behavior. Maybe have more than two employees on staff on Friday and Saturday night would help with this issue! The server should not have to be the cook as well on the busiest nights. And Can that I'll train security officer! Never in my life of previously being a security guard did I ever put my hands near my weapon while dealing with customers who were not a problem. 😡😡😡👎👎👎

The restaurant was dirty. Tables, floor, stuff laying around on counters, behind places. Looked trashy. Had to wait to be seated. Had to wait for server to come to out table. The waiter screwed up one of our orders-wrong food. We didn't want to have to wait any longer, so we didn't tell him. It took forever for us to get our bill and forever to pay, as there was such confusion at the front desk. The girl didn't seem like she wanted to be there and tge guy was running around looking for food pickup and receipts while 4 of us customers waited in line. Out of cash register paper. The food & service has gone down dramatically since the new people took over. The wait service is terrible and tge place is a mess. We probably won't come again

I'm not from here. I called to confirm location and hours. It rang and rang and rang. Nobody answered. I poked my head around the corner into the kitchen and said "hello?". We loved it! It was quite busy and I understand why. The food was delicious; hearty portions, desserts so good, I thought I had died and gone to heaven. Our server, Megan, was so attentive. The lady managing, Heather, was competently doing 9 things at once, yet still had time to personally greet us. It made us feel special. Stopped for breakfast. They were only serving takeout because the water heater was broken. We ordered takeout and waited the 15 min for it to be done. I watched them turn away at least 30 customers while I was sitting there. Huge loss for this restaurant on this busy day! It totally would have been worth the Sunday $$$ to get that fixed ASAP. They couldn’t wash/sanitize dishes due to no hot water, that’s why they were doing takeout only.
