Perkins in Marshfield has been a bright spot in our days. My husband and I had been in Marshfield for approximately 3 weeks while a family member was in the hospital. Every morning we came to Perkins to have breakfast. We were fortunate enough to get acquainted with a wonderful human being, server, manager whose name is Julie. In addition to being a wonderful human being, who was sympathetic with our situation, she was able to manipulate the menu to accommodate an avocado toast platter for me every morning. It came to be that we would just walk in. She would ask "same thing"? We would say yes as she sat us at a booth. And miraculously there would be a platter of avocado toast for me, and an everything omelet for my husband delivered to our booth. We felt taken care of during this difficult time that we were going through with our family member at the hospital. We would like to thank the management team at Perrkins, especially Julie, for being a bright spot in our days.

If you have a disability, this place is not for you. Upon seeing only a half dozen cars in the lot I decided to stop for supper. Inside, there were at least a half dozen empty tables. Two staff members n added at us but then ignored us for nearly ten minutes. So we left.

I realize they were likely under staffed, but at the very least they could have told us to have a seat instead of ignoring a person leaning on a cane.

Brought my wife in for lunch this past week and found this place the most uncomfortable place to be in. While waiting to be seated my wife and i witnessed the staff use the most vulgar language twords another staff member, I’m guessing without their knowledge. The young man that they spoke of we seen and he was doing an amazing job! (He was African American) I say this because they spoke of him very poorly and stood around saying racist things. I don’t know what it’s like being in that young man’s shoes but my heart went out to him. My wife and I chose to the our business elsewhere and will not be returning. To the young man whom they spoke down on, my wife and I wish you all the best in life and remember your hard work has not gone unnoticed!

Maybe it was because I was sat too close to the kitchen, but I was annoyed that staff had to loudly declare "IN!" and "OUT!" every time they left the kitchen area, which was very often. I haven't experienced that before and it was quite distracting to hear it declared every 15-20 seconds. Staff seemed a bit annoyed by having to do this as well. There has to be a better way.

I used to eat here often when I lived in town and always had pleasant experiences. I came here recently for the first time in almost four years and was kinda disappointed. I ordered the California avocado Benedict and it was basically a hot mushy mess of yolk and cheese. Looked nothing like the picture on the menu. The hash browns were cold and soggy. The waitress only came to check on me once to give me my check half way through my meal. I don't know if this is normal now, but kinda gave the impression she wanted me to leave as soon as possible. Only thing that saved this review from one star was the coffee. They still have the best tasting coffee, in my opinion. Judging by other reviews, I see I'm not the only one who thinks Perkins has fallen off in the last few years.

Walked in for supper, the restaurant was filthy so we were immediately sketched out and unsure. We had to wait to be seated, so we waited at the front. Several staff members walked by us, made eye contact, not a single acknowledgement that we were there and waiting to be seated, not even a hello. There was a staff member at the front checking someone out and we didn't get any sort of acknowledgement. We ended up walking out after about 5 minutes of waiting and the cleanliness of the restaurant turned us off. This restaurant has gone down hill so much and it's sad.

My partner and I dine here occasionally. Unknowingly we left a pair of expensive earbuds at our table.

When we returned about a month later, the manager or owner? approached our table and asked if we had left earbuds here as he recognized us. We got the earbuds back with no hassle.

This is some serious above and beyond customer service. To the staff here, thank you so much for always being friendly, welcoming, and taking care of your customers.
