The food was good tonight. I give three stars on service because they are obviously understaffed. The waitstaff was running ragged to no fault of their own. I only saw two people waiting tables- good job you two! Four stars for the atmosphere because you could hear the people in the kitchen hollering and laughing from the tables.
Not a bad place but definitely need more staff. Best of luck to them.

Recently, my youngest sibling, my only brother passed away. That in and of itself has no bearing on my review , but it adds to why the poor service and quality were even harder to swallow, especially as my family didn't even bother to complain. But I will on their behalf!

The morning /afternoon of August 17, my younger sister & our parents & myself had stopped in Menomonee for breakfast at Perkins on our trip back home after the first trip to get preliminaries done, planning of funeral, clean house , etc. We were all emotionally and physically very worn out, especially my parents. Aa we would in just few days be mskimg another trip back for the service. I was not feeling hungry , and stayed in the car.

When my family returned to our vehicle, I asked how was their breakfast/brunch. The responses made me beyond angry. My sister was given burnt potatoes.....mom's eggs overcooked....my Dad's food was very sloppily presented to him and he Saud most was not cooked as he ordered.....my mother ordered hot chocolate, and when the waitress brought it, she slammed it in the table, it spilled, and she slid it to her. The waitress also never once came to check on thrm/ask how ever was, and my sister said when she thanked the waitress after the food was brought, she rolled her eyes and acted annoyed! None pf thrm complained....i wanted to go in and do it for them but they said don't worry about it. My father ate his food anyway because he did the driving and needed energy but he said it was awful. I felt the meal should have been free after what they dealt with.

I asked for a description of the waitress, they described a kind of short, elderly woman, who had in sparkly jeans, had grey hair, with the sides or at least one side, shaved. We'll never step foot here again and advise all we know never to either

Just had lunch. Place is advertising for help in all positions. Ordered meatloaf with mashed potatoes and corn. Potatoes were hard and dry. Meatloaf was overcooked and partially burned. But I was hungry so ate it all. Wish I had ordered the pork chops with different sides. Worst meal I have ever had in a restaurant. Seems to me that the mashed potatoes and meatloaf were several days old and reheated multiple times. This is what a lack of enough help gets yoy I guess.

Servers need to focus on customers needs. The servers today never came by to ask if we needed more water, nor did they come by to ask how our food was. Eggs and toast were cold, and ordered sausage links instead of bacon. Which I raised my hand for more water, and also to point out the bacon error vs sausage links.

Awesome service our waiter was great! He was very attentive. The food was very yummy and came quickly. Will definitely add this location to one of 2 that we will actually go to! We've walked out of many others after waiting for a very long time for anyone to ask if we want a drink. One place 35 minutes maybe 5-6 other tables had customers at them.

My husband, daughter, and myself came here for Christmas and not only was the staff and atmosphere festive, our food was delicious. The true star of our experience was our server Tia. Gross, I got mashed potatoes, steak, shrimp, and Mac and cheese. I asked for the gravy on the side, it was dumped on my plate. The potatoes itself were gelatinous, thick and so starchy. Steak and shrimp were ok, just drown in butter. Mac and cheese tasted old. Our waiter only came around once or twice even though it wasn’t busy. We also had a salad with the croutons to be taken off, though of course that didn’t happen. Some of the lettuce/spinach was old and soggy. I know this wasn’t the restaurants fault but the people next to us were gross, burping and loud, the floor was filled with their food. Overall, bad.

After two years we thought we’d try Perkins in Menomonie again and to our surprise it’s no different. You pretty much have to walk into the back kitchen to get someone to wait on you just to be seated. We finally got seated and we ordered right away so we wouldn’t have to wait and then found that the table next to us had been there a while and no one had taken their drink or food orders. Mind you there was only three other tables there and three waitresses. I don’t understand how all the other Perkins restaurants are always on the ball and making the customer the priority. I've been coming here for 5 years. Recently, their service has not been as good. The waiting staff is very lovely and they do what they can, but I think there are some issues in the back. We ended up waiting over an hour for our food. One plate was sitting out for too long, the other undercooked. The waitress was very nice and gave us 20% off but still there needs to be some changes.

Our waitress says she is a manager when she doesn't have a name tag stating that clearly as they typically do. The "Manager" also being our waitress seemed nice but would be talking very loudly in the back badly based on us, HER CUSTOMERS. We got seated immediately but to even order waited half an hour because she was in the back talking and NOT working as she should. There were dirty tables all around us and two other separate groups complaining about how they are doing there job. Very disappointing that every plate we purchased was incorrectly made or was missing items. We had four plates total, each all having a problem. One plate was very incorrect and came with sausage rather than chicken as asked, we asked to get it fixed and it came back another half hour later to be extremely salty. So I asked to get it taken off of my bill since I am clearly not eating it and get told that "Yes of course we can take that off the bill" half hour goes by and she tells us that we can only get 20 percent off because that is what her "general manager" says they can give. First off we get told that she is the manager (no manager tag) + we get told that she's actually been working there for five days... We then are over waiting because even after two and a half hours of sitting here for our food and listening to our waitress and there "manager" bad talk her customers loud and clear. So we get up and are prepared to pay, we mention that they are very loud in the back as we can clearly hear her bad mouthing us and that we would like to speak with her general manager since we got told she was in the back. Her "general manager" was apparently speaking with her over the phone from home as she says. Which is strange since all we heard was her constantly talking in the back with the other workers, strange? At this point we just want to leave so we pay the bill and end up not getting our at least 20 percent off. Very upset with the service and workers for how they treat there customers. Called there corporate line, WHICH THEY DO HAVE.

My husband and I stopped on Friday morning to have breakfast. Our waitress was not very friendly at all. After she brought our food, she never came back and asked if our food was OK or if we needed anything else. My husband and I ended up sharing my water. Let's face it. As much as Perkins and similar chains preach the gospel of providing the same taste and experience at each location, both will always vary greatly, depending upon local staff and management.

Today's staff at this Menomonie Perkins were very good. Waiter passed along our requests to mix and match components of our two meals, and the kitchen got it right. My husband's eggs were perched atop my hash, and my pancakes were on a seperate plate for HIM to enjoy.

Whoever was in the kitchen today knew their stuff. Pancakes light and fluffy (per hubs); hashbrowns perfectly crisp, with plenty of butter; chicken fried steak (for which experience tells us corporate most likely provides frozen steaks and powdered gravy mix) prepared so that it tasted homemade.

Best breakfast out we've had in years.

And with the Perkins-standard large portions, we each had enough leftover so that we'll have breakfast tomorrow as well.

We were there for late night and it was the worst experience i ever had at any restaurant.. The manager was obnoxious from the moment we walked in. It was very hard to enjoy ourselves when he was laughing and joking very loudly with some of the other guests. The waitress was the same. They fought in the kitchen about her boyfriend loud enough foe the whole restaurant to hear. Then they turned on this music in the kitchen that used the f word and N word alot. I honestly have never been so disgusted in my entire life. Clearly it was upsetting to many of rhe other guests as well but if the food wasn't good we would.have for sure walked out. The only reason they are getting star is because our omlets tasted great.

Second time I have gone her and keep getting the same waitress that is the WORST. Waited over 15 mins and my son had to go up to ask for to-go boxes. No longer pay at the table.
