If I could build a time machine and go back to the past, I would tell my younger self to get to Peters' Boyz as soon and as often as possible.

For real though...the service from Amanda and Reggie was perfection. Hospitable, kind, fun, welcoming.

And the food...dang, the food was SO good. The brisket was buttery. The rib tips seasoned perfectly. Lots of food, but not so much that I regretted wearing jeans. lol

Then the smoked cheesecake came out...

I'm not sure if Reggie and Amanda have angels that work back in the kitchen, but that cheesecake was heavenly. I pity all other cheesecakes, which will forever be compared to the best cheesecake I've ever tasted.

As of today, time machines don't exist. We can't go back to the past to eat more Peters' Boyz. But you can go in the future. I hope you do.

What can I say? Surprised my wife by taking her to Peters’ Boyz last night. We’ve eaten here 3 times in the last two years. The first was on a whim while in the area. The second two times were to go to a place we knew we would love! I always remember it for the great food (I love good cornbread and brisket!), but you know there’s a lot more you can take in than flavors when it comes to being satisfied. While you’re sitting in for your meal and checking out everyone else’s orders, off in the kitchen you will hear and see a man who is a shining image of what it is to enjoy and be satisfied in Jesus Christ and have it come pouring out in his life. I’m sure he has his bad days just like the rest of us, but he knows he’s guaranteed on his way to somewhere good! If you don’t know what it is to know Jesus, you’re missing out on the very best meal, the beautiful scenery, the powerful crashing wave and the most intricate and soft touch, the greatest symphony of power in humble love, and the place of rest by quiet waters. I am so thankful that I don’t have to wait a long time or perform a massive feat in order to go to the place, see the thing, or get a taste of the meal. It pleases the Lord to dwell in human hearts and surround a place with Himself. Thanks Peters’ Boyz for the Texas BBQ and a reflection on the meal to come!

I really wanted to love it. I love supporting local businesses, especially Christian ones. My husband is from Texas, and we are desperate for a good BBQ place. The meat was very very tender. Prices seemed a little high, but they do give a good amount of meat on the sandwiches. Main complaint is the smokiness. I swear they must’ve used liquid smoke. I can’t get the smell out of my hands no matter how much I wash them. And there’s a very bitter smoky aftertaste hours after eating. The mac was pretty good. The beans were pretty sweet and gloopy for my taste. Really bummed because all the positive reviews hyped it up.

I love BBQ and good BBQ is hard to find. My friend took me here for my first time and I was NOT disappointed!! I got the cut brisket, mac n cheese, and fries. My friend got the ribs and potato salad and beans. Maaaaaaaan, everything was cooked beautifully, seasoned to perfection, EVEN the fries were tasty. The owner even took time to come talk to us. My husband and I went there today for the first time for lunch and it was delicious! They were busy when we got there, but we saw that as a great sign saying to us that other people liked the place too. Great atmosphere, small and cozy, and the decor was very tasteful. The restaurant brought us back to when we used to live in Texas ourselves. We strongly felt like the food portion was excellent for the price and we couldn’t even finish it all. The sauces were all delicious too! And that sweet tea hit good just like it came from the south like how a true sweet tea is supposed to taste like. Oh, and most importantly, the restaurant offers military discounts too-so for all military members and veterans, if you want some good BBQ with flavor, my husband and I highly recommend Petersboyz! We will be back again.

Peters' Boys Texas BBQ is the real deal. Smoke flavor permeates the meats, and the excellent sauces on the side enhance the flavor even more. Both of the pulled pork options are delectable, and the fried pickles are a must. We took extra orders of pulled pork home, and it was as good, if not better, the next day. Even the corn bread is the good kind that doesn't dry out and crumble. Try the tater salad, for realz! The owners definitely care a lot about the food and take pride in their place. Plus, we were happy to learn that it's only a six minute drive from the Valley Grand Marcus Theater in Appleton. Giddy up!

Peters’ Boyz BBQ is hands down the best BBQ I’ve ever had and I say that as someone who’s traveled all over during my time in the military and tasted BBQ from just about everywhere. Nothing compares.

The ribs were fall off the bone perfect, the brisket melted in my mouth, and the sides were just as incredible. The slaw, mac, and cornbread honestly fed my soul. Everything had that rich, smoky flavor and the kind of balance you only get when people truly love what they’re doing.

This isn’t just food, it’s an experience. You can tell they cook with passion, heart, and maybe even a little bit of the Holy Spirit. Peters’ Boyz BBQ is a blessing, and I can’t recommend it enough. Make sure to get some cheesecake for desert!!

From the very first moment, you can tell the owners truly know Texas BBQ. Amanda, the manager, is such a kind and welcoming woman — she made us feel at home right away.

The food was absolutely delicious, especially the ribs — tender, flavorful, falling right off the bone, melting in your mouth. You can taste the love and tradition in the recipe, which we were told comes straight from Texas and Chef Mr. Pete himself. We also tried the nachos, which were tasty, though a little on the sweet side for us.

The atmosphere is warm and cozy, filled with soul: beautiful postcards, children’s drawings, family photos, and even the story of how the restaurant came to be. You can really feel that this place was built with heart.

If you haven’t been here yet — or if you’re just passing through — I highly recommend stopping by. It’s easily one of the top restaurants in Wisconsin for BBQ and grilling. The staff are incredibly friendly and attentive, and Amanda went out of her way to explain everything and make sure we enjoyed our visit.

Another great bonus: right around the corner is Timber Tap Taproom and Brewery, with an amazing selection of beer and cider. We happened to visit in September during Oktoberfest — there was live music, perfect late-summer weather, and it made for such a memorable evening.

And just to top it all off — there’s even a bike repair station nearby, so if you’re cycling through, it’s the perfect stop!

Stopped in for dinner with friends. Atmosphere was good. Small place but not too busy. Head chef and I'm assuming owner was running a tight ship based on efficiency and communication. Waitress was friendly. I had the razorback sandwich and this was one of the best if not top bbq sandwich I have ever had. Hushpuppies were outstanding and the southern heat bbq is unique and delicious with just the right ammount of heat. My wife had the texas that could feed at least 3 people alone. Mac and cheese was creamy and delicious and the pulled pork is on point. I have nothing bad to say about what these guys do here and will talk it up for a long time. The food here is incredible. I’m normally picky about meat in particular, but this was SO tender and tasty. This family is also just about as sweet and kind as it comes. We went there for the first time when I was pregnant and devoured our food (don’t even get me started on the cornbread and how I dreamed about it for a week). We came across this place on TikTok and had no idea it was right here in the area! We’re originally from Florida and haven’t had amazing barbecue since we moved up north — usually settling for Famous Dave’s. But this spot completely blew us away.

As a Southern boy born and raised in Georgia, I have a deep love for authentic BBQ and a seasoned palate to match. I smoke my own meats and take my barbecue seriously. Since moving to Wisconsin a year ago, I’ve been on a mission to find a place that serves real, quality BBQ. I found it today at Peter’s Boyz Texas BBQ.

Right from the start, Amanda made us feel right at home. When I mentioned my background, she was excited to hear what we thought, from the Southern sweet tea to the ribs and brisket. I’m happy to say everything was outstanding. The food was cooked perfectly, packed with flavor, and true to the tradition I grew up with.

I also introduced myself to the smoke master, Reggie, and gave him well-earned praise. He thanked us for our patience since they were very busy, but I told him there was no patience required, just a love of authentic BBQ. I feel like I’ve found my people here.

Oh my lord… this is probably the BEST brisket I’ve ever had my whole life. You will absolutely NOT be disappointed by this place. I got the 2 meat plate with Brisket and Tipz along with beans, slaw, and cornbread and WOW! The brisket was so tender and juicy and had that perfect smoked flavor to it just 🤌🏻 the tips were fall off the bone and had a great tasting rub on them. The beans were sweet (which I’m usually not a fan of) but also smokey so the sweetness wasn’t overpowering. The corn bread was AMAZING!! So moist and not too dense and not too light it was just perfect and fresh. The slaw was the only thing I’d probably pass on next time, not that it was bad, but just not as great as everything else so I could do without it. I ALMOST went back there a 2nd time in the same day I got lunch because it was just THAT good. However I do think I will make it my dinner plans tonight lol. Not only did everything taste amazing, the packaging of the meal was spectacular lol I don’t think I’ve ever had a meal packed as neatly and as well as this was. They made an otherwise messy meal moderately clean haha (they can only do so much) Each portion of the meal was individually wrapped in foil inside of the styrofoam to go box which not only saved a mess, kept it nice and warm for me as well until I got to that part of the meal. Seems like a small family owned local business which makes it 10x better even, because who doesn’t wanna support the little guys like ourselves? I rate this place 100 out of 10!!! I’m not from the area, just here for work, but better believe I WILL be back here just for this place. Absolutely amazing and I hope you all keep up the amazing work and wish endless success for this business. You can really taste the love they put into it. This is by far the best Barbecue that I have ever had. We in Green Bay visiting from Chicago for a bowling tournament. And my daughter had a taste for bbq. I googled and found Peter’s Boyz, we made the drive to Kimberly. The smell of the barbecue from outside I knew it was going to be good. I had the Longhorn sandwich and it did not disappoint, the brisket was tender with the perfect amount of smoke, my daughter had the Pulled Pork Sandwich and the flavor was impeccable and honestly did not need sauce. I also had the homemade slaw that was delicious and my daughter had the fries that were seasoned perfectly. I should have photographed the food before we ate, but I didn’t know I’d be writing this review. A Texas BBQ Gem in Wisconsin!

My son and I are visiting Wisconsin for a week, and we stumbled upon Peters Boyz Texas BBQ while looking for dinner. From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome—even though we arrived close to closing time.

We ordered pulled pork, ribs, fries, sweet tea, and lemonade, and everything was absolutely delicious. The ribs were tender, the pulled pork was packed with flavor, and even the hot BBQ sauce was amazing (just the right kick!). We enjoyed the meal so much, we went back the very next night to try more of the menu.

The deviled egg salad was a first for me—and now I’m completely hooked. It’s a must-try side!

The owner and staff are genuinely kind, welcoming, and a joy to be around. We’re already counting down the days until they reopen on Wednesday.

I thought Peter Boyz was great! The food was very seasoned. Came out hot. We tried a little bit of everything but the hush puppies were definitely a favorite!! The fries were heavenly and deliciously seasoned. The brisket was delicious. I also got the bbq yardbird and felt like it would have been better suited on a sand which. The hot links had a bit of heat to them as well. My only complaint was I thought it was a bit expensive but it’s a small local restaurant and everything is hand made so it’s worth the extra $$! For an appetizer and two meat plates with a tip our total came out to about $70.

Fan-tastic! I had the tender Delicious dry rub ribs! Great spice mix on the ribs and great sweet or hot choices of BBQ sauce, at the table. Had wonderful beans and creamy deviled egg salad as sides, with criminally good corn bread! Didn't try the butter cake, this time, but that sounds too good to not try! Next time, soon! Great friendly waitress, Ashley? I hope I remember her name right. And met the man behind the Great food, owner, Reggie Peters. Very nice man with talent coming out of that kitchen! This is a really great place to get Texas barbecue! It is an overlooked hidden gem in downtown Kimberly, just past the post office !! Everything is cooked and smoked by the owner directly, everyday. He loves what he's doing and it shows in the food, the service, and the atmosphere! Even if you're not a big barbecue fan, this is worth the stop!! Ribs melt off the bones, tender brisket, (prepared for 16 hrs.) chicken, pulled pork. all in a variety of dishes. And, be sure to order the small but VERY good, dense, butter cake! You don't need large pieces! He will personally make sure you really do like your meal.

Absolutely delicious. Spouse and I shared the 3 meat 3 side platter and it was the perfect amount for the two of us. Everything was delicious and smokey and yum. The only server was quite busy with seating, takeout orders, and phone calls, but still made sure to check on us during our meal. Definitely will be back.

Owner and staff are very friendly. I went between lunch and dinner and it was not busy there. The brisket, pulled pork and hot links are🔥 as well as the beans and Mac. Their homemade sauce is excellent.We came up from Florida to visit family and our new grandson and decided to give this place a shot. I can see why it's really busy during peak hours. Highly recommend and we will be back!

First time I went ribs was fire seemed like a pro cooked em. I got back week later 26th March I don't know who smoked the ribs but they messed up big time. I couldn't give the ribs away. Disappointed cuz that's all I had for my 12 hour shift. Will I go back? I'm not sure. No way to tell if ribs is over smoked or not till u bite that joint. Over smoked gives me heartburn I don't know bout yall. Maybe I'll go there try something else. We'll see what it do

The server and owner are very friendly! The atmosphere is cozy and inviting. I got the 3 Meatz Platter. Everything on the platter was delicious! They have 4 different sauces ranging from tangy to very hot. They are all delicious! The hottest sauce had great flavor along with the heat.

My wife got the Mac N Cheese with burnt ends. She really enjoyed it! We shared a piece of pecan pie which was also delicious! The prices are very reasonable.

The slogan is “not fast food” as it’s ALL homemade. The owners (Amanda and Reggie) are super friendly, too. ❤️

All of their meat is smoked for a long time and filled with love in every bite. The best part is all of their meat is perfectly juicy and flavorful. Their cornbread is moist and sweet: utter perfection!

If you have room, be sure to try a piece of their pecan pie or butter cake. My mouth waters every time I think of it.
