Absolutely love this Pizza Ranch (Elkhorn)! Marcia (pronounced Marsha so I apologize if I mispelled) is amazing, the kids love her so much!! Shout out to Damien too!!

From the first time we stepped in & heard the greeting to the other guests (& our own greeting of course) I knew we found a hidden gem. You can't beat the service, you can't beat the food (ALL YOU CAN EAT, plus the cookies man, chicken AND pizza?? Not to mention the salad bar, daughter & i start there always

I went for their advertised wing night, and all I found were two types of chicken wings, regular buffalo and barbecue. They had advertised other flavors, but obviously they weren’t there. So I grabbed some pizza and some mashed potatoes, which are always delicious, and found that There was no fresh pizza at all up under the warmer. Everything was dry and looked like it had been made sometime earlier. So I got to my table with my dry pizza, and I noticed that the wings were lukewarm. Altogether, this experience jaded me for the Elkhorn Pizza Ranch. It’s the second time in a row I’ve gone there and had a mediocre food experience. They had one poor guy working on the register and then running around cleaning up the multitude of dirty tables that were sitting empty. Sad.

Love it here! There aren't many buffet places left anymore but this one definitely checks off all the boxes. Their chicken is some of the best I've ever had. Pizza is great with a wide variety. They also have a salad bar, pasta, and several other items available on their buffet. The staff is friendly and helpful, it's very clean and they are always making sure fresh food is put out right away. The dessert pizzas are to die for also. Their prices are great considering that you are getting buffet food and can eat as much as you like and cheaper than most restaurants for just one meal nowadays. Tuesday's are kids night. Dinner buffet is only $15. Definitely worth it.

This place was repeatedly recommended by the locals we spoke to so we dove in….
Being new here, we had questions and we were met with warmth and answers.
The smells were creeping up as we were paying- they respect and honor military, seniors and others I think- that was heart-warming. Food was delicious, staff was kind and accommodating. I had an issue, and the concern and demeanor of the manager was unprecedented with me. He was professional well spoken understanding and kind. I live about 45min away, but I will be glad to repeatedly patronize this place. I already know who I’m bringing on my next visit! Lbvs. Not a picture taker, but I was compelled this time! Chicken was excellent. An hour from closing and dessert bar was shut down. Then reopened 25 minutes before closing and after we all found something else to eat. Never got the pizza we ordered to try first before on the buffet. It was a busy Saturday night.

I had to change my review based on recent visits. It was previously a 5 star place but now they're double dipping the cook on the chicken and now it's over cooked and terrible. Ice cream machine has been down on Sunday for several weeks. This past Sunday the place was 78 degrees inside and not a single plate was picked up from our table. I usually tip five bucks to take care of the staff but they were terrible. Not sure what happened in the past few weeks but the manager I liked has not been there.

Amazing as always. If you're in the mood for fried chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, potato wedges or fries. It seems they have a new manager or something and it is night and day improved. It's cleaner, the fried chicken was cooked in clean oil, the people are more professional and they put out a ton of the desert pizza... And the ice cream machine worked perfectly.

UPDATE- February 2025 -this Pizza Ranch location is doing good in the community. They had free coffee and cactus bread this morning (donation only) to raise money for a good cause. Following that they gave away pizza for a year to five people. They also had 8.99 buffet specials for seniors and 9.99 specials for other individuals. It is just as clean and well run as it has been for the past couple years. The manager today was knowledgeable, kind, and friendly. This is definitely my favorite location.

UPDATE—-February 2023- i’ve visited a couple times in the last month and I am most impressed with the new manager. He’s doing a great job of training staff. He honestly seems to care for his customers and about the food he’s putting out. The food stays well stocked and is a nice temperature. Will definitely continue coming.

UPDATE September 2022- CLOSED drove an hour each way to have dinner here. Google says they’re open. They are NOT OPEN. The sign on the door says closed for eight weeks.

Update: 4 years later and this is still a great location. Staff member Ron is awesome! He’s kind efficient and overall just a special person. Thanks for your great choice in hire!

I've been to a handful of Pizza Ranch locations in IL, IA and WI. This one has a slightly smaller selection of pizza due to only one pizza island but they kept it stocked while I was there the other week. I've deducted one star because the soft serve machine was out of order with no warning. I could hear it and saw an employee walk to and from it so in my mind thought it was working. That was not the case. When I pulled the lever it erupted with room temperature white liquid that sprayed on my shirt and my other food and that made me sad. After that I noticed a troubleshooting guide for the machine nearby on the counter. It would have been nice if they put some kind of notice, even written on a napkin, to let customers know that they'll be wearing sticky, liquid slop if they attempt to use that machine. Pizza was alright though.

Employees were friendly but largely missing in action. The chicken was surprisingly hot and tasty. Pizzas were tasty but cold. A patron asked when fresh ones would be coming. It never happened. The ice cream machine made a terribly loud sound when I attempted to use it. One of the employees came running over and shut it off, promising to get me ice cream from the kitchen.
