The service was pleasant, but the food was unfortunately very disappointing. My reuben was burnt and dry and it hurt the roof of my mouth when I bit into it. The taste was very bland and a bit bitter from the burnt toast. Both the reuben and fries were barely warm. My husband had the farm to table meatballs and sweet corn and it was barely warm and he didn't like the flavor, he even scraped the seasoning off the sweet corn and the sauce that came with the meatballs was green and he didn't enjoy the flavor.

Love the place. Arrived and were going to wait for a table, get cocktails. Went outside. The friendliest server greeted us outside, and even though they were winding down on serving on the outside area. She cleaned off some spent glasses around the firepit and got it lit for us. So nice, just over the top friendly. Inside we went when table was ready, more great service. Everyone was just great. We visited twice last year, but plan on trying to visit at least twice more this year even tho the season is winding out. Thanks for a special night!

Wednesday music at PJ’s used to be my favorite night of the week, beautiful venue, great music, and the smell of the grill going as I find good friends and conversations in the crowd! After the last couple years of going and seeing things go downhill, I had to say something. Please consider bringing back food that my family will eat and enjoy, like the great days you had of grilling fresh burgers and walking tacos! The premade food has been cold, dry, and no flavors. I will not eat at pjs right now, I’ve given it so many tries and it’s just not good food for the price at all.

Came in to get cheese and crackers to go and didn’t receive my order for over 30 minutes. Before my order was even placed the bartender decided that a phone call was more important than going back to the kitchen to make sure that the product didn’t contain an allergy. Instead of placing the customer on hold and actually taking care of the customer that was right in front of his face.
I mean, I could understand if I was ordering actual food, but it literally was cheese and crackers. That is a 5 to 15 minute or less order. I come here a lot due to my job, but unfortunately, I will not be back personally because if this is how long I’m gonna be waiting for basic cheese and crackers then why would I wanna come back for food?

However the food was sub par with very little flavor, Reuben meat was like beef jerky it was so tough, beet salad with no flavor, chicken wrap needed to be dunked in ranch to get an flavor. The cheese curds were the only good thing. The waitress Liz though was the worst! She was not welcoming and down right off putting like she was being forced to work there. I ordered the battered cod for lunch. What I basically got was a slab of batter that was deep fried. If there was cod in it, there was very little. VERY DISAPPOINTED. Nice place. Been going to the Sentury restaurants for a long time. The wings are embarrassing, especially when you consider the price. They are smallish. You don't get very many and they were chewy. Well, another flop for PJs. Last Wednesday during the band, I ordered two seltzers from the main bar. The (what looked like male manager in charge) dropped one of my seltzers (on the other side of the bar -- where I couldn't see) and did not tell me when he picked it up from the ground and placed in on the bar. Ample opportunity to say, "hey, open the other one first, I accidentally dropped this one" and there would have been no problem. Little did the bartender know, two people who knew me saw this happen, but the one could not reach me in time before I opened the one that was dropped. And ended up with seltzer dye all over my favorite shirt.

It's a shame. The food is horribly inconsistent and not worth risking the cost at about a 65% bad vs 35% good..The two things PJs had going for them is service and atmosphere. Now they've lost the service star.

I thought it could just be me, so I asked many people in town their opinions. They all track with my review. Do better PJs. The potential is there, the execution is not. I will post weekly reviews of PJs for the foreseeable future.

Ordered the duck ala....... When one orders a duck, you expect to get a duck, not a plate of macaroni and cheese. There were a dozen or so quarter size pieces of very thin, tough duck pieces.

Others in our party ordered the pork chops and they were over cooked as also tough.
No rolls, salad etc., just a basic main dish.

Been going there for many years, a few times a year, and most of the time the food was good. But not this time.

You cannot beat the atmosphere however.

As usual, the service is still inconsistent. Tonight (Monday) there were four customers at 830pm besides myself and my friend. I placed my order of Dr Pepper and brussel sprouts at a quarter till 9pm. After waiting for my drink for about 10 min, I asked for my Dr Pepper. At 920pm I told the staff to just cancel my order of brussel sprouts. Yesterday evening, my husband ordered fries with a different sauce than the one given. The fries were not too salty this time. In fact, it didn't seem like they had salt at all. We would have been fine being charged the extra 2.50$ for the different sauce - if it had been brought to him. Please be aware that if you choose to dine here, it could be great! OR, you may not get your food 🤷🏻‍♀️
We are there 3 to 4 night a week. Currently their batting average is .300 at best.

PJ's- SentryWorld is a beautiful building with great landscaping, gorgeous flowers, and lush green grass. The dining area is huge and also very nice. However, the food is little to be desired. Our table ordered a variety of items off the menu; from appetizers to sandwiches, taco's, burgers, and salmon. The cheese curds were probably the best, and even those weren't worth the price. They were a bit greasy and were not hot when we got them. Food was not prepared as stated on the menu and lacked flavor. Save your money and go to Red Robin or Chili's. I will not be a returning customer.

We eat at PJs weekly because we spend time in the Sentry Fieldhouse every week. The service is always friendly and professional, but the food is the most inconsistent of any restaurant we frequent. One night, it will be excellent. The next week (or even a few days later) it will be sub par/ borderline inedible. Take the tater tots for example. My husband ordered them three times in two weeks. On Thursday, they were so salty they weren't edible. (My husband loves salt) Historically, the tater tots are one of the groups favorite items on the appetizer menu. Monday the chili was good, Thursday it was runny. Sunday, the farmers cheese plate was delicious. Thursday, it was edible at best. The one thing that is always consistently great is the service. Especially behind the bar. We eat at the bar frequently and the service is always excellent.

My family lives about 3-1/2 hours away from us and Steven's Point is a good meeting spot. What we struggle with is finding a place that is quieter. My husband has hearing issues; when I called for reservations, the staff was friendly and very accommodating to find an area that would accommodate us. Our service was excellent. The waiter was friendly and good timing with beverages and food. We all enjoyed our meals and after lunch, we decided it was a good place to go next time we get together. The atmosphere is warm and spacious. It was a great first experience.

Whoever made the turkey club was definitely in a hurray. A club sandwich is cut into triangles no matter what size the toast is. Sandwich received was basically a turkey sandwich that had come apart on the plate. Between the person placing the food on the plate and the server serving the sandwich, they both missed the presentation. The cheese was left off completely and the onion was only on one side of the sandwich.
Very disappointed for having to drive an hour to dine there.

The food always seems a bit boring. A spicy salmon sandwich was tasteless and had a thick Mayo based topping. The patty seemed straight from a Sysco truck.
What really blows my mind is the poor service. There was a group of three servers chatting, 15 feet from our table the entire time we had our meal. At one point, my spouse knocked over my glass of water and not a single one of these other servers could have been bothered to come over and help. Our server put a towel on the table next to us, but also didn’t help. My husband got up, got the towel and wiped off the table. We had to ask for another towel so we could get rid of all of the water.
The restaurant was virtually empty when this happened so the lack of giving two hoots about the customers was astounding.

100% get the cheese curds. The reviews hyped them up, as did the waiting staff, and boy did they deliver. They're lighter, crispier, and more nuanced than many others I've had the privilege to enjoy, so absolutely worth it.

Everything else we got was at minimum B tier and as high as A+ tier - beer selection, made-in-house sauces, classically executed American dishes. Just so excellent all around, would absolutely recommend and return.

I would come here all the time if they could figure out the gluten free options. I really loved the gluten free slider, but my dad who is a celiac got sick from what he ordered. My family tried it again and they gave me some of their take home so I could try the ribs to see if I liked them. That time we all experienced that not feeling well. Stopped in tonight treating my step daughter and her boyfriend prior to their concert at UWSP. Have dined here many times and for the first time it was pretty disappointing. Appetizers were good, but entrees were not very good at all. I had the chicken and it was flavorless. It was also just one drumstick and a partial bit of the thigh. It was overcooked and dried out, unseasoned. Very underwhelming. Rest of the table had burgers and they were pretty dry. Definitely not the experience we’ve come to know from PJ’s. Not sure I would return, would rather spend a bit more and go to Muse. Not a ton of options in Point, hope they can turn it around.

Worst Holiday dining experience ever! Too bad we had our Thanksgiving planned for here!! Food was cold, sent the braised chicken back. Rice was old crunchy and cold. The food is good, but nothing overly special. The variety is different than other places in town, so it’s a nice change if we have extra funds for the month.

The service is so-so. I asked for a specific brand of gin that was on the menu for my G&T. After 25 minutes of waiting for my drink, the waitress said they don’t carry that kind anymore. Instead of asking me if I wanted something else, the bartender subbed in a different alcohol (which I can’t have because of an adverse reaction to the ingredients). I asked if they could just make me something else instead, which they did and it was tasty. But it took almost 30 minutes to get that drink.

Food came out about 30 minutes after we ordered it and was cold. It was a little busy for a weeknight and we had a large party (10 people), but it left a sour taste. Especially since others at the table were served before us. Didn’t get home until after 10 pm even though we were seated around 7 pm.

They used to have good food at reasonable prices. Not this time. We ordered a veggie pizza which was awful. We had requested extra sauce, and when we received pizza there was no sauce on it, and few toppings with a small sprinkling of cheese, and the dough was over baked. Pizza is supposed to be one of their specialities. No way this 12" pizza was worth $19. We've had much better pizza's at much lower prices from Papa John’s. We will not be returning in the future.

When you got the food, for the most part it was good, but when they forgot about you, get your order wrong it's just not good. Went there ordered sweet potato fries without salt first got them with salt they looked great. Then got them without salt and they were burnt and just tasted bad. They seem to be able to cook but only if they don't make a mistake, because then they're rushing. My problem is I'm in Wisconsin, it's inconceivable to eat fries without salt, and I think it's just disgusting.

The appetizers were good. The first batch of sweet potato fries came out salted which was specifically requested as unsalted. The remake came out dark and were not salted as requested. Received a glob of melted cheese with breading in it w some actual whole fried cheese curds. Did not look appetizing. Tasted fine. Very disappointed in quality of food.

I ordered a chicken sandwich and while eating it I realized it was completely raw inside, and of course got extremely sick from food poisoning. Pjs was a decent place to eat a few years back but now it's a joke, service and food all suck now. The raw chicken and subsequent food poisoning was the last straw, I'll never eat there again. It's funny because Musa is one of my favorite restaurants in town no idea why sentry can't figure out how to run pjs.

Baked potatoes were horribly greasy and not hot, and there was hair in my husbands food….. that’s when he finally got some after the rest of our party had food for 10 minutes. Took that meal off the bill. My daughter’s fish was cold. The waitress was not attentive and we hated to ask for anything because every time she went to get anything we had to wait forever!

Very good food, appropriate wait time for quality. Great atmosphere. Ordered the short ribs, salmon, Bloody Mary and blackberry mojito. We made a reservation. Not sure if it’s necessary but we drove 45 minutes so weren’t going to take any chances. Will be back!

The ambiance and service at PJs are always excellent.
Besides the wood fired pizza - which is always delicious - other dishes often are a tad disappointing. Such as the roasted veggie salad - not many root veggies so it lacked depth depth and just four small slices of bland tofu that was to be the vegetarian protein.
Stick with the pizza!
