I love this Popeyes it's really good compared to the ones in Racine but today October 2nd 2025 2:45pm I had a drive thru order. I ordered a cinnamon apple pie and when I got to work come to find out there's a bite taken out of it! I'm very disappointed because I waited for my dessert all day and now I have lost my appetite. Food is old and nasty, they have a digital menu that flashes back and forth and doesn't clearly display prices, they upcharged me 1.29 for Chicken breast when I didnt request a chicken breast I asked for a 3 piece. The balding worker with the thinning beard and dry skin, told me I can't read and needed to read better, and denied the screen flashing from 2 different menues at the drive through . Dont eat there, I was warned about poor service and old chicken from a friend, I decided to give a try myself, and got exactly what I was warned of.

I ordered the three piece all white meat spicy meal mashed potatoes and Mac and cheese. 15 minute drive home and had to take care of some things when I got there but when I was able to finally eat…. Giving us drinks with soda dripping down the sides of the cup,my husband ask what's going on with that and his response is ....it ain't nothing I can do about it....how about give us napkins or wipe it off before giving it to customers to wear on their shirts.....but instead he opens the cup and attemps to pour into another...with the same hands your collecting money with...gives no receipt and hands us our food with attitude. I placed a mobile order for pick up at your Market Lane in Kenosha, WI store.

I went inside to pick up and another customer was ahead of me. After waiting for 10 minutes for one of the 4 staff members to even acknowledge I was there, the customer infront of me turned and said that she had been waiting to be served for 15 minutes. Not one of the 4 staff members on duty had even approached her to take her order.

I then asked "Hello, is anyone going to take our orders". All 4 members of staff turned around, looked, completely ignored us and went back to doing what they were doing. After another 5 minutes of being point blank ignored I had had enough.

Frustrated I left to get my phone from my car in order to call customer service.

I had been standing in store for around 20 minutes and still not ONE staff acknowledged the customer ahead of me or myself.

Another customer came in behind and I explained the situation to him. They also ignored him. After 25 minutes of waiting I shouted that I was here for a pick up order and this whole situation was completely unacceptable.

The drive through staff member asked me for the name of my pick up and pulled it from the multiple orders thst had been left sitting around getting cold.

I then asked who the manager was and was told "there is no manager". I asked for the managers name. I was told "there is no name" as he then walked off smirking. At this point I pulled out my phone and started to record all the staff on duty so that I could return and speak to the manager to show which staff were on duty. One of the girls ran to the back of the kitchen knowing that I would now have them all on camera.

I then left. At home I found not only was my order wrong, but it was also cold as it had been sitting out for the entire time we had been being ignored.

I was previously a store manager for KFC for 3 years, so I understand peak times and how busy things can get, I know the stress of working Fast food, however, ignoring customers completely and not even acknowledging they are there is unacceptable. Those 4 staff members ignored 3 customers for over a 20 minute period even after I had highlighted the fact we were standing there to be served.

I would like to speak to the store owner about this and forward him the video I took of the staff members. I would also like a full refund of the meal I was supposed to get since I will not ever be returning to that location again.

Seeing the slew of 1 star reviews tells me that this is not a one off occurrence.

First, I ordered on my mobile app. Got all the way home to realize that they forgot my ghost pepper chicken sandwich… then filed the complaint with the support on the app. After that, I called the store & they said I could come through & they would give me one. After getting back to the store, the line was 3 cars deep only… one car was sitting at the window with the drive thru guy leaning out talking to the person in the car for a good 7 minutes before someone else stepped in and had her pull forward. Then when I pulled up to the window to get my sandwich, there were 5 people all just staring out the window.

Worst customer experience I’ve ever had from the forgotten item to then waiting forever because of the staff members seeming to be uninterested in correcting their wrong. Definitely will not return to this location again!

I rarely eat at Popeyes since I don’t live in town, but I decided to stop by for lunch on my way to work. I ordered the #6 — the 6-piece boneless BBQ. Unfortunately, this is what I received (photo attached).

The ABSOLUTE WORST experience EVER! Our family came thru the drive thru and saw the tender family bundle. My wife ordered the special. The girl taking our order said the special starts tomorrow. And we couldn’t get it. 😳 When we asked for the manager to clear this up. She said she WAS the manager, and that there was nothing she could do. So my wife asked for the corporate number. We were then informed that this was independently owned. So we asked for the owners number. She said he would be in tomorrow and to just call back. Earlier today we called to speak to the owner, but instead spoke to a different manager who proceeded to yell at my wife and tell her she doesn’t know how to order food from a menu board. Hung up on my wife twice. He would not give us his name or the contact information for the owner because he said he didn’t want to get in trouble. This is COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE. They have posted specials on the screen that they won't give you when you try to order in drive thru. Saying "that's not until tomorrow". But it's on the screen. I called the next day and the general manager yelled at me saying "you said you wanted chicken, not tenders" and there was no way the staff member messed up. I told him I don't eat chicken with bones in and I was clear with what I wanted to order. I talked calmly but was being accused non-stop, then he hung up on me because he doesn't have time to talk to customers about concerns. I was not greeted properly, the short woman at the register was basically whispering. Greeted us by saying “ what do you want” in the middle of me ordering my food some goofball working the drive thru decides to tell me I look like a football player (specific name) interrupting me while I’m ordering.

She put our food down on the counter and just pointed at it and walked away. No sort of real communication. I’m sorry but you chose the fast food industry and it takes some sort of communication if you think you can nonverbally serve people you need to find a new gig.

Absolute worst Popeyes we have ever purchased from! This store has had nothing but issues since the day they opened. Service has been an issue from the start, as has consistency, but we gave them a break since they were a new store. Well, they are not new any longer! And they’ve gotten worse, if that was even possible!
My husband went through the drive through, had to repeat the order 3 times for the order taker to get it correct, 2 Spicy Chicken Sandwiches, Reg Fries, Reg Mac & Cheese, not a difficult order, and the employee repeated it each time and the 3rd time FINALLY repeated it correctly. 5 minutes after receiving the order, he returned home; sandwiches were cold, fries were cold, mac & cheese was and waxy/greasy, disgusting, and you guessed it, COLD! After we heat everything up, he bites into his sandwich and discovered it wasn’t spicy after all! I called, spoke to Abdul, the “manager”, complained and he told be to come in for a refund, which we did.
How this store manages to have 3.3 stars, I have no idea, but if I could give ZERO stars for this review, I absolutely would! We will never make a purchase at this establishment again.

It's not right to falsely advertise your customers. I am very aware what I saw and didn't misread as if your shrimp is only Cajun then absolutely tell your customers this and place the Cajun word in front of the combo name. You taste the Cajun for sure on the shrimp as heard the man ask me do you want regular or Cajun? I properly responded to saying regular on the shrimp like chicken. My special needs daughter eats Popeyes like KFC and understands the difference with spice as this family doesn't do spicy anything hence why regular was mentioned. When calling it in I am told we don't have Cajun shrimp and then why did you say you have regular shrimp? When asking for the meal to be replaced, they want to say we only have Cajun shrimp. Haven't had Popeyes that often because the locations didn't work for me. This one works for me. I typically order the same food. Love the fries, chicken sandwiches, ghost pepper wings and coleslaw. I am a little confused about what a large coleslaw looks like though. I've gotten a partially filled container, a partially filled container with another small container or multiple small containers. Consistency is key! Please figure out your servings.

UPDATE - Stopped in for quick food on the way home. 7PM on a Thursday. It wasn't super busy but steady - especially the drive thru. I prefer to go inside and was happy that I did. The cashier greeted me right away and helped me by correcting my order and even showed me the best bargain for what I wanted. I really appreciate the friendly attitude and customer first actions! Sadly, that isn't always normal but I will happily be back to this location in the future! The food was great as always!

Look, if you want CERTAIN items from this Popeyes, there are specific items you should get from this one. The sides besides the FRIES are not good, don’t waste your time getting them. They will be watery, mushy, and not pleasant to eat I promise you. The fries are the best choice and they give you a lot of them too. Had a 10 piece, 1/2 reg and 1/2 Spicy.
Sides Mac n cheese and fries.
Chicken moist inside with a crispy crust. Found the "spicy" to be mediocre.
What was really disappointing was the Mac n cheese. This stuff was still in its unheated state with globs of cheese veined through it. My kids wouldn't touch it. And, that says a lot. I tasted it and it yeah...it was garbage.

Ordered frozen drinks at the drive thru .. pulled to the window paid for the drink with cash and then was told that they didn’t have frozen drinks .. ok fine.. I’ll just take a refund.. we don’t do refunds…WHAT DO U MEAN? Why would u take my $ knowing u didn’t have the product and knowing u didn’t do refunds? Then this chick talking about she can’t have her register short.. Then was told comeback in 2days for a refund..WHAT? I live 3hrs away! Talking about pissed!!! Still irritated!!! Robbed!!!!

I don't know how high the employees have to be to only put half the order in the bag but seriously. The place was right on when they first opened but the last 3 times they have not gotten a single order in the bag correct. Truly pathetic

The best Popeyes ever always fast and fresh! Order ready even before I make the payment, If I drive near by Kenosha, I always stoped by :) it’s a must; I live in Illinois the ones from Illinois specially the one from my town not impressed, mehhh! But this one 😍🥰 is fire 🔥

I ordered in the drive through and after I was given my drink, I was asked to pull forward to some sign. So I did and sat there. The next car came through and was asked to pull behind me. Then about 3-4 other cars went through the drive through and were given their food at the window. After 10 minutes of waiting I got out of my vehicle and rang the back buzzer where it looked like they would come out to give me my food. They answered the door and I had to explain to them that I had been waiting for my food. It was like they forgot about us who pulled forward. After a few minutes another employee showed up with my order. I informed them that someone else had been waiting as well. Worst service ever, they didn't even care.

This new location is an embarrassment and the people who work there do not know what they are doing.

I’ve tried giving this location a chance several times, but my order is ALWAYS wrong. Today I asked for large mashed potatoes and got red beans and rice. How do the two even sound the same? So frustrating.

I’ve been here twice which each time I’ve gotten the signature sandwich PLAIN. Both times they put sauce on it. I asked for no sauce and that was confirmed when taking the order. It’s really sad cause it’s more work to add sauce than to follow the modification. I might give Popeyes another chance but I’m disappointed.

this was terrible. i ordered a 3 tender combo and a chicken sandwich at the window. ended up getting 6 tenders, a few fries in a bag, NO BUSCUIT, NO SAUCE and a nasty watered down coke, also NO chicken sandwich. so basically paid for nothing i asked for.

Finally good food!!! Sooo affordable! And finally a place that got my order right in many months. Everything tasted so good and they included extra sauce which I appreciate. It was easy to order online and they were really nice. I will be driving across town to go back to this location!

Used coupon code on popeyes app. 5 pieces chicken . Clearly charged for it on receipt & type of chicken. I got a breast & wing both about to turn to dust so old, old cold fries. Call to speak to someone before 9pm. No answer. Sadly I had high hopes for this location.

This was the 3rd time I came to this particular location since the opened. It seems to be common practice to serve cold/old food. Nothing is EVER fresh, and I have tried at different times of the day. This location is closer to my house, but I give up. It’s HORRIBLE!
