My first time ordering chicken from here. The person that took my order was great. Problem was with the chicken. I bought the original bone in chicken. When I got home with the food I couldn’t eat the chicken. I enjoyed the mashed potatoes though. After taking one bite of the chicken I started feeling sick. It didn’t taste like chicken at all, it tasted like deep fried shrimp. Should not deep fry poultry and seafood in the same fryer, shrimp has a stronger flavor and will be absorbed by everything else. Those that have seafood allergies beware!!!

Arrived after placing an online order to a staff of 2, with a line of waiting customers. Sierra was handling the registers, preparing customer orders, and working the drive thru. Although it was a high stress situation that would have likely made less dedicated staff quit immediately, Sierra handled the situation in an exemplary manner. She’s a star and her work ethic is admirable. She is friendly, likable, and an asset to your location. She’s perfect like your chicken tenders.

I will list the good feedback first, the food we received was hot, fresh and tasted great.

Now for the not so good feedback, after placing a mobile order we arrived at the restaurant to pick up our order a few minutes after we were told to arrive for pick up. We received our drinks at the first window then pulled to the next window. We waited there for approximately 20 minutes without anyone coming to even let us know there was going to be a longer wait. After the 20 minute wait we received a bag that at first glance appeared to be our order so we left the restaurant. When we arrived home we found that the food in the bag was not our order. We were given a mobile order of what appeared to be the next customer after us.

So all in all the food we received, even though it wasn’t ours, was fresh and hot, however the wait time with no check in to let us know it was taking longer than expected and then receiving the wrong order was not so great.

My son went to Popeyes today 6/29/2025 @ 3:30 to get lunch for himself and his toddler. We went through the drive thru it was ridiculous, they finally placed their order and proceeded to the window and then waited a long time for someone to come to the window. They take the food home, and when my son goes to take out the fries, they are literally just laying on the bottom of the bag, nothing containing them they just poured them into the bag. There was no one else there, but my son in the drive through,Im not sure how this is acceptable in any business. Stay far away from this dump churches chicken is coming soon and they have better food anyway and at least they train their people.

We ordered 4 boxes and only got three. I began requesting desserts to make up for it but it was if she didn’t want to take the time to talk to me. She just got the info as fast as possible and the missing food to me as fast as possible. There was zero effort to make up for the mistake and encourage a return visit. I love Popeyes. I have had significant issues with other stores, from asking for a side of spicy mayo, and finding they scraped the mayo off my sandwiches for it, all the way into not allowing multiple orders per car for "convenience of paying's sake".... Drive through....snow day. 2/12/25. Got a chicken sandwich meal.....coleslaw and mashed potatoes and gravy as an extra....garlic parmesan sauce and a bbq. Gravy is to thin and barely there. Employees are rude. You order online and the instructions tell you to drive up to drive through to pickup your order when ready. So we do, and drive up to the drive though window. The employee and their manager begin to lecture us that we did not stop at the menu board 1st and that we were supposed to to let them know we were here. The oder was supposed to be ready at 7:20pm and as I type this no customers in store or drive through and its 7:30pm and no one has helped us or told us how much longer before our order is done. These are the most rudest staff I've dealt with. Last time our family attends a Popeyes. This is simple yet so difficult when it comes to just picking up food.

Yesterday was our first time eating at this location and probably the last. Got door dash delivery. It was a very simple order. Boneless wings and mashed potatoes. Yet got no mashed potatoes in the bag. Which is very unfortunate as the chicken was not very good. Lots of breading not much meat. Usually we have large complicated orders so if they can't get a simple order correct I'm not sure I'll return. It's not difficult to pay attention and give customers what they've ordered and paid for.

As a recent transplant to Janesville, it's s nice having a Popeyes restaurant in town. The chicken is better than the alternatives. Got a 3 piece chicken tenders. Chicken was dry and very thin pieces. Tasted like they had been sitting under a heat lamp for awhile. Biscuits were dry and had no flavor. This is the nicest Popeyes I’ve ever seen. I wouldn’t normally review a fast food restaurant, but I feel like people are more likely to complain than to say something positive. Absolutely terrible will never go back. chicken tenders were more breading then chicken, half of the tiny amount of shrimp I got was just cooked dots of breading, the biscuits tasted like fish, the ice tea I got was warmer then room temperature and melted the ice with in 2 min. $21 worth of food that wasnt even worth $2!

Disappointed and a little annoyed. We always have trouble at this location. We ordered 1 5pc chicken tenders, 1 Mac & Cheese, 1 red beans and rice, 2 biscuits, and an apple pie. However, we got mashed potatoes instead of Mac & cheese and no biscuits.

Staff was confused at best. We had to repeat our order at the window. It was 10pm and we were the only customers at this location so it shouldn't be confusing.

This is the second time they've either forgotten a side or given us the wrong one entirely. Not sure if the staff just doesn't listen well or they don't care? At minimum they need better training and supervision. I don't really recommend this location unfortunately.
