I went through the drive thru and a girl named Andrea took my order. I ordered 3#2 which is Chicago style hot dogs and fries and sodas. She got my order wrong and read back 6 hot dogs 4 orders of fries and 4 sodas
I told her 3 orders of fries and 3 sodas. When I got up to the window it was still 4 sodas. I already paid for the order but I'm so sick of them messing up my order every time I go there. They need to train their employees better.

The chicken sandwich is top notch! The cake shake is just too thick and an actual cake in the shake. Fries are mediocre at best. Service through. Drive thru was subpar. It was $25 for 2 chicken sandwiches a large cake shake and a large frie. Still a great sandwich though!
Update 9/2025 This is my second time coming since my last review. The fries have been much much better. I skip the shake but the burgers are just as amazing if not better than the chicken sandwich. Without a doubt they have the ability to put out a 5 star product. The service has always been top tier and this time it was too.

Its portillos, is it the BEST beef? Im not going to lie and say it is. But what it is is available to us FIBs when we're near Milwaukee now.

Showing up just after opening got me in and out the drive thru in minutes, all to bring stuff home an hour north.

With construction in the area getting on and off the highway can be a bit more confusing, mostly a Google error, but this is located literally a hop off 43 before headed to state line, cant really complain.

Went inside to order for 4 people. When we received our food and checked the bags we were missing all 4 hot dogs. I went to the counter and the person said "I was wondering where that bag went?" Excellent Chicago style Italian Beef sandwich dipped in au jus which is called "gravy". Can order sandwich dipped easy, dipped extra gravy, dry (no gravy), or a side of gravy. Peppers are also great on the sandwich for an additional cost. You can get sweet peppers, hot giardiniera peppers, or hot oil -- a cup of giardiniera oil for dipping. If you want melted cheese that's also an option. Sandwich comes in two sizes.. regular or big beef. There is a drive thru and outside and inside seating area. Menu also has hot dogs, salads, chicken sandwich, Polish dog, cheeseburger, cake, fries, onion rings and more. It was very confusing the first time I ordered the Italian beef sandwich because I didn't know all the different ways you can have it prepared. The chocolate cake is excellent. If you sign up for their Perks Program you get a free slice of cake on your birthday.

Chicagoan here - this is hands down the worst experience I've ever had at Portillos. Dick Portillo himself would be ashamed with this location.

The women that took our order, for two orders in a row, decided to skip past the fact that we ordered a meal, then proceeded to charge us full price for fries and a drink in addition to the sandwich.

We waited 20 minutes for our food, while everyone that ordered after us was served - turns out they bumped our order and forgot about it. I had to ask for our order to be made, which is ridiculous when you literally have one job - make the food and put it on the counter. They also forgot the cheese and peppers on my beef sandwich, that I paid extra for.

Whoever ordered a chicken sandwich around 8:15PM, I feel sorry for you, because I watched the employee drop the patty onto a cross-contaminated counter, think about his decision, then continue to make the sandwich with the patty.

The manager is an absolute joke - we brought our concerns to him & he did nothing to make it right, not even refund the stuff we paid for and didn't receive. Didn't care about the food contamination.

We'll never be returning to this location & will be contacting corporate tomorrow. Enjoy your surprise visit from upper management, yall need to get it together

Came in on 6-18-25 around 830 for a late night bite with the wife. With her pork allergy we had to take an extra 30 seconds at the window to be safe and avoid a hospital trip. After waiting 3 minutes at the speaker (no joke) the lady in the drive thru sounded like she couldn’t wait to finish our order, saying “what else” and giving me a total before I even ordered my wife’s food. When I got to the window after being rushed I asked to add a regular fry because I couldn’t get it out at the speaker. She looked at me and said ok 32.03$ while rolling her eyes. After taking my money she just handed me a receipt for 29.08$ and said pull up. I pulled forward where I sat at a window completely ignored for 5 minutes, then finally the same lady brings me my food, asks me what I ordered, and then goes “oh uhhh yea here have a nice night” and walked away.

Well came time to eat and found out the regular fry wasn’t in there, the receipt was wrong,
And No napkins in the bag. Walked inside and asked for a manager

This is the good part, Zee was PHENOMENAL with his customer service, apologized multiple times, had a smile, didn’t belittle me or question me, reprinted my correct receipt, apologized again, and told me to have an amazing night.

I ordered a pecan bacon salad and it was very hard to eat. You had to toss it yourself in a little plastic bowl. I wanted to sign up for their rewards program but I couldn't get reception on my phone inside their building. The guy said, yeah, that doesn't work. I asked for the Wi-Fi password and he said they don't give it out and the ones that I could get inside the building weren't theirs, which was kind of strange. So I wouldn't recommend this place because the food is hard to eat and they don't make it easy for you to entertain yourself or check your email. Also I told him I was eating there and they pack everything to go even though I didn't want it. There was a big plastic that was a big waste.

Portillos has always been one of my favorite places to go and recently they have upped their game with their service. I was scared to order food from portillos when I saw people complaining but when I got up to the front of the line I realized they were complaining about prices. Yes they are pricey but their quality and quantity outweighs the price. I always get the big sandwich combo and get a large container of cheese so I can have some tasty cheesy fries with my sandwich. Overall portillos is a place to go when you are hungry and got the money.
