This has to be the worst experience of my life. I was here for 2 hours. Other customers sat down, got their food, then left before we got our food. Had to ask for our server after 30min. The food was over seasoned and we had soggy buns. I saw one other table complain and send there food back. The Manager was very un-helpful. Sad to say, but we won't be returning. Good Luck to anyone that goes here. You've been warned.

This just might have been the best darn pork chop I've ever had in a restaurant. It was cooked perfectly, and the mix of seasonings were tasty. If you're a pork chop fan, you definitely need to give the Post's a try. The risotto was very good as well. Service was top notch and the old fashioned was top shelf as well. Post - American is another in a line of superb eating establishments in Hudson. If you're a foody looking for great options, Hudson is a must stop place if you're in the area.

I ate here for the first time. The setting is nice and quiet. I like that they have two TVs showing the football games instead of 15 like most other restaurants in Hudson it makes for a less flashy and distracting environment. They were out of the impossible patty but they let me substitute the ahi tuna in its it's place with no fuss. The fries were tasty and I will definitely eat here again.

Cute venue inside an old post office. It had lots of promise but the only vegetarian protein (impossible burger) was not available. I also learned after the fact that they fry french fries and cheese curds in beef tallow — which is not disclosed anywhere on the menu.

If you don't eat meat, unless you want salad — avoid this venue.

I've been here twice & have been pleasantly satiated both times. The food presentation was beautiful. The food was absolutely delicious. The service is cordial. First time my husband and I came here tonight and it was very good! The lobster ravioli was OUTSTANDING and very reasonably priced. There were 7 large raviolis with at least 5 large shrimp, nice portion size! The cream sauce was so so good!
Service was excellent as well. If there was anything negative it would be that inside it was a bit loud but other than that we will definitely be going back.

This restaurant is the remodel old post office for Hudson. It is full of nostalgia. The service was outstanding. Four people and food choices of perch fingers, post burgers, and a pasta dish. All were excellent. They have a good wine selection and several local beers to choose from. A good choice should you find yourself in Hudson, looking for a different experience.

Really bummed about this place. I can get over poor service if the food is quality but wasn’t impressed on either front tonight unfortunately!

The good: the faux cucumber basil mojito was fresh and a solid summer mocktail, but didn’t enjoy the little chunks of basil that made it through the straw. Would recommend making a basil simple syrup and garnishing with a basil leaf. The focaccia bruschetta was also a good summer appetizer and read like pizza but fresher.

The could be improved: fettuccini Alfredo was extremely thin and bland. Not sure there was adequate cheese or salt. Would like it if they spruced up the sauce and sprung for fresh pasta. You can get the exact same dish at Red Rabbit in St. Paul for the same price and they make it with fresh pasta. The Parmesan crusted chicken with lemon sauce was unremarkable and matched the flavor of Noodles and Company. Unfortunately the pesto risotto was seemingly prepared without wine, so it was just cheesy rice with basil. Meh! Finally, it took 30 minutes to get our drinks, another 30 for our meal, another 15 for the check, and all of it on a very slow Monday.

My wife and I took our Daughter & 2 Grandsons here for a Friday Fish Fry.
We arrived around 3pm. ( best time to go with kids ). Our server was Matt. He is by far the best we've ever had, compared to other restaurants. So polite and he interacted with our Grandsons. He made the whole experience enjoyable. We all ordered fish. 2 perch dinners, 2 ayce Friday fish (Cod) specials, and one child's fish fry. All the fish was excellent. This was the only place in Hudson, that had perch on the menu . The prices were fair. Atmosphere was relaxing. My wife and I live 3 and a half hours away. We will definitely be back again when we're in town. My 10 year old grandson said it was definitely a 5 star experience. Thanks so much Matt.

We went there for dinner on tuesday and the service the food was perfect. We ordered the artichoke dip and the beef quesadillas. The artichoke tip was wonderful and fresh and the beef on the quesadillas was perfectly cooked and sliced thin and the green onions were cut in a special technique that made the whole plate look beautiful. So I see other comments on here and I just come to the conclusion.It's always who's back in the kitchen cooking.And when I went there the cook wasn't playing around. My husband and I really liked coming here. this was the first time that the service was very off, we got there and their was a large group in the center and half the tables was open, but yet we had to wait for a table. then was told we had to leave by a time cause there was another group was coming and we had to be out by a certain time, then we had to wait 10 minutes for the waitress to show up and gave us our water. the waitress was very friendly and did her best to be attentive to us, but we got place where she was the waitress waiting on the large group, that she just started to take their order when they sat us down. But, when we got ready to leave, husband had the fish fry, he was done, we are waiting for the check, plates are no longer on the table, a different waitress came to the table bringing him more fish and argued with him about it when he did not order them, we are waiting on the check, the waitress finally brought us the check and again had to wait for her to come again waiting 10 minutes for her to come back, we had to have the manager(?) who was walking by to take care of the check so we can leave.
that was a disappointing night. The Hostess should pay more attention to the waitress and where they are at at a table, being sat a table where they are already really busy with the large group, she can't be as attentive to the other tables, which in turn they can not give not as good as service to the others, which the customers may not return..

The Post, is a great, Hudson,WI. locality to gather & socialize. It has a meeting room,for family/office gatherings, an original bank vault/wine room for more intimate conversations, and many open tables & booths, with easy access to a fine bar & seating with an indoor/outdoor preference. Stopped in for dinner on a Wednesday. Very few tables occupied, yet there was no host to seat us, I found the host and a few servers hanging out in the kitchen leaning against the walls and chatting. We were able to get seated, but then waited 10 min hoping for a server. Gave up and left. The Smiling Moose was on their game! Probably won’t be back to the Postmark until we hear of new or better management, used to be a great spot. Unfortunate.

Beginning was great with our dinner salads and then we got our food. Gluten free Pesto Chicken flatbread was beyond soggy with at the most 6 tiny little pieces of chicken on the entire thing. The special cornbeef and cabbage was incredibly smaller than server described, carrots & cabbage were hard, with 3 small pieces of cornbeef. First time to Post today, it was overall great. My wife especially enjoyed the blackened salmon because it wasn't over seasoned like a restaurant downtown I won't mention. I had the Diner Burger, which has proven to be the best cooked burger at a restaurant in Hudson in my opinion. I always order a burger to judge a restaurant and this one was great. I use my own cooking to judge and have only ever found one burger to surpass mine, Naps Grill in Hamilton Montana. Regardless, well done Post with the burger craft.

On the other hand, my daughters burger looked burnt (but she ate it, 5 year old) and one starter came out after our food was served. The waitress apologized and offered to cancel but I wanted to try it, and I'm glad we did. It was the chicken fingers and they were amazing with the blue cheese sauce.

The waitress was great. To cap off the night, they give 10% Veteran discount so make sure you take advantage restaurant at a historical location.

We had a wonderful dining experience at Post this past Friday evening. It was our second time there. The first time was not on a Friday. We were impressed with the menu and had a great experience the first time, and wanted to try the Friday fish. We were pleasantly surprised that not only was the deep fried cod AYCE, but the broiled cod was AYCE as well. I had the broiled, and it was hands down the best broiled cod I’ve ever been served at a restaurant! And the drinks were excellent. I like my bourbon old fashioneds traditional style, without soda, and theirs was excellent. My folks like their Brandy old fashioneds Wisco style, and they said theirs were excellent as well. My wife had an espresso martini - she is picky about that drink and she was impressed with the Post version. Our daughter doesn’t drink alcohol and they made her a fancy mocktail which she loved. We’ll be back!

We celebrated my grandmother’s 92nd birthday here yesterday and it was fantastic.

Our waitress was great and helped make her day so special. She was patient with our group and extremely kind to my grandmother. She noticed it was her birthday and helped her pick out a dessert to celebrate. She also noticed that she received flowers and brought her an extra glass of water so they would not wilt while we were visiting. My grandma was so happy with this kind gesture.

We all enjoyed our meals and loved the strawberry cheesecake. We will definitely be back in the future!

We celebrated my wife's birthday at the Post and it was fantastic! The staff was friendly and attentive, especially our server. The food was amazing - she loved her steak, and my seafood alfredo was delicious. We sat on the patio with a beautiful view of the St. Croix River and the sunset. They even surprised my wife with a chocolate bundt cake for her birthday! We'll definitely be back, and we're recommending the Post to our friends and family.

We celebrated Mother's Day at The Post American Eatery last year,and it was spectacular. The Brunch they set up is perfect, the service is great, and the food is Always top notch. this is the perfect place to spend Mother's days, or any special occasion for that matter. The patio is very nice plus the servers are great, they never leave you just sitting out there your always taken care..Also if you ever want to try the best Cheesecake ever created you need to try the post Cheesecake. So disappointed!! The service was terrible! It wasn’t even busy when we went. All the waitresses stood there talking. We had a table right where you could see them. We had to stop an employee to take our order because we sat there for over 20 minutes after our beverage order with no one helping us. This could be a good restaurant but if you want to be ignored this is the place to go. This is not due to being understaffed, it was just bad service!!!!

Great place to go with a group or on date night. Some great appetizers and dishes are on the menu. Nightly specials too! We had the all you can eat fish with cheese curds. It was excellent and our server took great care of us too! Highly recommend!

I wanted to get ham and potatoes and gravy to go today for Easter. I called ahead and the chef said he would have it all ready. I was on my way to the airport to pick someone up and stopped into Post to pick up. Not only did someone go around the buffet and fill a to go container for me but while they were waiting for their computer to restart, the chef came out and said there was no charge!!! I’ve always loved this place and their wonderful food and service but this was just amazingly sweet and so appreciated!! Thank you and Happy Easter! It was delicious. Terri O

I miss postmark grille. Our beloved salad was gone, All.of.our.orders were overcooked, we waited 10 minutes for drinks and another 20 for burnt food. The seating and setup was awkward. You can tell why it was empty at 1130 on a saturday.

Was placed in the vault as in the reservations I mentioned we were celebrating our anniversary. It was very intimate, and the food was fantastic. I had the prime rib, and it was the best I had ever had. My wife also really enjoyed her seafood Alfredo. Their cheese curds with berry preserves to do in was fantastic! Highly recommend!

Ive had to wait awhile to post this review so I have calmed down and leave emotion out of this review. I have a service dog. This is a legitimate service animal and i have the appropriate proof. On this particular evening we were denied entrance and actually the manager was rude about it. He said she was NOT a service dog and would not seat us. My wife had even called earlier to reserve a table and disclosed we would be bringing a service animal. They did not say the dog could not come in. For those of you that don’t know, a business must allow a service animal to enter. Now the interesting thing is we had been in at least 3-5 times previously with my dog. We told the manager that and yet he would not lets us in. Also for those of you that do not know, it AGAINST THE LAW TO DENY ACCESS FOR A SERVICE ANIMAL. I could have reported this to the federal Dept of Justice. Apparently the offending business can be A $75,000 fine!! Sorry for the length of this but its important people with disabilities have access. So PLEASE DO NOT SUPPORT THIS RESTAURANT! Hopefully the manager is gone now and the owner will apologize. If they do ill post another review noting the same.

I took myself out for a fancy dinner and The Post did not disappoint! I sat at the bar and received amazing service from Lily! Huge shout out to the chef as well, my new york strip was done perfectly and tasted amazing! Definitely a new favorite!

Had the sweetest experience at Post tonight-went in after the hot air balloon festival at 4-they seated us and no one checked on us for a little while. After a bit, we flagged down a server, and I’m assuming the manager came over and was SO sweet and kind and offered to comp our drinks and app. She then needed to move us to a different table because of a reservation that came in and some obvious mistake of where the host seated us. Because of this, she also comped dessert for us. It was so kind of her and the whole experience was very old school restaurant vibes of service and hospitality and so welcoming. It was seriously one of the best restaurant experiences I’ve had in so long, and I was so thankful! Also all of the food was absolutely delicious and the place is adorable.

We decided to try the Post, we had reservations and we were promptly seated. However no server appeared for 15 minutes until we flagged down someone. There had been lack of communication between the person who sat us and any of the servers. This server then offered to take us and she was great, prompt, friendly and helpful. She even wrote out a dessert menu for us. The food was ok, the tomato bisque soup was great, and the chicken wild rice soup very good. The perch fingers were cooked in oil that was a bit too cool making them extra greasy. The mahi mahi was a bit dry, it needed a sauce. The vegetables were good. My wife's walleye was decent though the breading was a bit plain. All in all ok food but Hudson just has much better choices with more well run kitchens

Chef Adam was amazing and went above and beyond for my food preferences/sensitivities. My ribeye was cooked perfectly, THANK YOU! From my phone call to walking out, everyone we came in contact with had great customer service skills. Our sever was Maddie, and she was also kind and very patient with my questions about the menu. Anything she didn't know, she would go ask to confirm, which I really appreciated. Only thing I was bummed out about was that they were out of the sea salt Carmel Gelato :( I'll be back as this might be my new favorite restaurant!
