I really enjoyed my stay here, the rooms were very spacious and clean, staff was very friendly. The location is remote, so there are not a lot of places to eat around it but the hotel has a couple of restaurants. The casino is smaller but very well maintained and clean. The Carter location is small but mighty. The rooms were clean, roomy, and nice. The on-site restaurant, Rock and Brews, was clean and service was good but the food wasn't quite as good as I expected it. The drinks were not amazing but bar service was quick. The casino floor is relatively small but the variety of games is nice and they do have table games.

I enjoy coming to this casino. I do like the addition of the smoking room and the double door feature to keep the odor out of the main casino. The rock restaurant is really fun and I like the mix of music they play. My photo is of the individual pizzas they offer. It was awesome!

I had a horrible experience with the hotel. I booked a room on-line. It asks if there is anything that could make our stay alot easier with our arrival. Our cousin was getting married on July 19th. She suggested alot of her guests to book room at potawatomi hotel. We took her advice. We asked for a early check due to us going to our cousins wedding at 3pm. My understanding we got the ok to check in early. We got there a couple was already upset cause they weren't able to check in early. I was next samething happened to me. I was not able to check in. I told the lady I asked for a early check in due to a wedding. She didn't care this other lady started raising her voice before I could finish saying anything else. I advised to them I gotta get ready for the wedding it's at 3pm. I gotta get dressed curl my hair etc. One lady said we could use the bathroom and that's it. Went back out side told my husband the situation. He got mad said that's bullshit. Realized the couple parked next to us were going to the wedding also the ones that got rejected also inregards of checking in early. One guy changed his clothes in the parking lot. The lady & other guy used the restroom to change there clothes. I had to do the samething. I didn't get to curl my hair at all. Found out later on at the wedding we weren't the only ones that had issues with potawatomi casino hotel. There was couple hand fulls of wedding parties that day that was upset due to not being able to check in early to be able to get ready for the wedding. We didn't get to our room & finally check in until after 10pm from the wedding. Other wedding parties didn't check in until after midnight. It was a total waste of even having a room. It's just sad people drove all the way from milwaukee and never been to potawatomi casino hotel. They drove 3 1/2 hours for a family members wedding who's even native American who requested for our family and friends to stay at potawatomi casino hotel and give them business and this is how all of us get treated. I stayed in room 117 yes the rooms are very nice. But all in all the service of the front desk lady was very unprofessional very rude and disrespectful. The other lady was at least let us know we could use the bathroom to change. My husband and I won't be back for awhile not after the disrespectful service we got from the front desk ladies.

Just spent two nights with friends at Carter Casino . . .overall the visit was excellent.

Honey-do list: 1) Please groom and fix the UTV/ATV fork onto the main trail South of the gas station. 2) Take an outage on your swimming pool and have the bottom repainted.

Our hotel room was very nice and recently updated.
Cons: Consequently, with future updates it would be nice to have additional dresser space as this room didn't have a closet.
Pros: Nonetheless the room did have a small refrigerator, microwave, coffee machine, sliding patio door with outdoor seating and a safe to lockup valuables.

Pros: 1) Entire staff was excellent and friendly. 2) An elderly lady on 5-24-25 about 8:30 PM won a $8800 grand jackpot on an 88 cent wager. While I lost money I thought my play value was excellent. 3) I like the vibe of the new Rock & Brews restaurant/bar of course I like that kind of music. 4) I would rate the food just slightly below a rating of 5 of 5. I thought everything I ate was tasty. 5) Years ago some casinos had rooms for non-smokers and this was very nice. I'm not a smoker and appreciate smoking not being part of the main casino not only for myself, but for the employees. Consequently, Carter Casino turned their bingo hall into a slot room for smokers, which out of fairness to smokers is very nice . . .especially during periods of inclement weather. 6) Custodians and maids did an awesome job of keeping everything very clean and tidy.

This casino was a happening place this past Memorial Day weekend and it was fun seeing people in their 20s unwinding and have a great time. Job well done Carter Casino staff members. :-)

Love the vibe at this casino. The music in the Rock n Brews is the main reason we go. If you want to hear Lawrence Welk then go to Oneida. Carter is actually cool and we are in our 60's! Love the rooms, pool, hot tub, staff, food....and on and on. This is NOT a dead casino! It has LIFE! Now, do I wish they had networked slots? yes, of course. The most you can win at Carter is around $10k. Not sure why they don't have wide area slots with huge jackpots but I can always go to another casino for that. This casino is our "home" casino and we have yet to find anything better in northern WI.

Do they only want tourist dollars and low betters? Seems to be as the payouts are very low.

I get a flyer every month stating I have weekly free play. The notice told me I had a sizeable amount of free play several times a month plus it was my birthday month.

We went to the casino on my birthday and zip zero free play. I asked if maybe there was 2 accounts and nope only the one. We asked if there was a food credit and was told yes. Went to the restaurant and ate. Time to pay ... no food credit. Unbelievable, an hour drive to be deceived.

Free Play and Food credits are all a draw for casinos. I have never had a players club card with ZERO free play. Worst case (other than Carter) was $5 once a month at a casino out of state.

I play more than most and am top tier at 3 of the 4 casinos in NE Wisconsin. Carter is NOT for the seasoned player. Go to Keshina, Northstar or Oneida in that order. Go to Carter for the onion rings not their slots.

Nice casino / hotel but the obnoxiously loud music from the rock & brew bar restaurant ruins the rock & brew area dining and even the nearby gambling experience. Our room stay was excellent. Couldn't ask for a nicer room. The other restaurant, Springs, is down the hall from the obnoxious loud one and they serve an excellent breakfast fare without the loud distracting music.

Not like it used to be...hubbys and my birthdays and our anniversary this month. Promotions not so great anymore.
Rock n brews restaurant... Food good, but service not so much. Asked for a to go dish...heard workers in the kitchen mocking me. Was my hubby's birthday...I asked if he could get a dessert or something...nope! Not even a "happy birthday" to him. Kinda rude.
Players club workers very friendly and helpful and recognized my hubbys bday by announcing it.
I won an amazon card and donated it to a family/kids to have a good Christmas.
So thank u for that.

Okay, I will start by saying that I could go on and on about how much we loved this little casino but, I will try (and likely fail) to keep this short. The hotel was a huge surprise because there were really no photos that I could find so we felt like we were taking a chance. Anyway, the room was SO clean and well organized and decorated and designed. The room was small(ish) but it had everything we needed. The bathroom had a beautiful Corian type sink and the shower was huge with a glass door (I hate shower curtains) and it had great water pressure and a marble seat in the shower. The bed was so comfy and the furniture looked brand new. One of the best features was the multitude of USB ports. They even had USBC ports which is pretty rare. Only one thing I didn't like, (and that was) the stark white LED lighting in the room rather than a warm white. The room had a fridge (non stocked) and a microwave. We just were so comfortable in that room. The restaurant was Rock N Brews and everything we ate was DELICIOUS!!! That restaurant also had HUGE LED video screens that displayed some awesome classic rock videos which could be heard throughout most of the casino. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. I loved the pool and hot tub! I think this casino has been renovated in the past few years and WOW did they get everything right. If you would compare this to the Island Casino, Oneida, North Star, Menominee, this place would beat them all hands down. It is rare to find a northern Wisconsin casino with a cool vibe or really any vibe at all yet Potawatomi has figured that out. They dont offer any vip amenities here. They dont have a kiosk. The only host they have is out until further notice. Their slots play weird and the machines are tighter than the milwaukee property. The staff is not very knowledgeable and kind of rude. The casino is boring and looks outdated. It took forever for the slot to collect my money and apply it to my slot credits. This was a waste of a trip very underwhelming i do not recommend coming here. I am disapointed that potawatomi made it harder to obtain vip status in milwaukee with one of the advantages being able to have the privileges applicable to both properties when you dont get any at the carter property.

They were able to help us out with a future stay after hearing about the way we were treated by the front desk about the reservation being wrong and the bartender being rude. Machines are sooo tight, it's not fun. I have to bet a large amount to win a little. Minimum bet amounts to don't allow you sit and win a bonus amounting more then $0 - $15. And then after bonus, it takes it all back.
Lesson learned...I hope.

This is one of the worst customer service casinos I’ve ever been to. Oh sure everybody pretends to be friendly, but you can sit at the bar for five minutes before someone asked you if you’d like something to drink. The worst day was when I went in with my friend to watch Monday night Football, they couldn’t get it on. They’re supposed to have a sports book but they’re playing rock ‘n’ roll on 20 TVs. I like rock ‘n’ roll videos, but they couldn’t even have Monday night football on a couple of them and couldn’t figure out how to get it on there. Clueless!

Used to be a great place to come with an RV because the spots are free. They took out the water and the dump station so it's very inconvenient now. We have family by Carter, so when we visit them we always stay at Potawatomi, Carter. The hotel employees are all so friendly and accommodating. The rooms are always clean and the beds are so comfortable. Both the restaurants have super delicious food and again everyone is so friendly and helpful. My wife had misplaced her cell phone in the casino and Security was right on it. They found her phone! She was so thankful! Each department works at 100 percent, plus. And each department works together with each other to make your stay super enjoyable. There is nowhere else we would want to stay. We love it here!
