0 stars if I could. Walked in to an EMPTY restaurant. Every. Single. Table. Was dirty. Figured it would be some college kids working... no... 3 full grown adults sitting on their phones. Started ordering an immediately regretted it. The food looked very old. Update:: The branch is even worse now! They now justify why they don’t give me what I want because it “makes the machine dirty” !! So apparently they don’t want to wipe the griller this is why they only serve dry quesadillas with minimal queso and meat because they are too lazy to “clean the machine”.

Other branches like the one on South Park street are more professional

I love Qdoba but this branch is bad. Some of the employees here don’t adhere to hygiene practices. Now when I see the same employees I leave without ordering.

One of them also doesn’t give me what I want! I wanted to add lettuce in my quesadilla and he refused! I have been doing that for years but he just refused for no reason and I had to argue loudly with him! Same thing happened with sauces he doesn’t want sauces to be inside rather he says these are on the side. I tried other branches in the city and they don’t do that.

I once saw also a small cockroach — I can’t fully blame them because state street is not clean enough so bugs can enter but still I think they can improve the atmosphere and make sure things are cleaner

I got yelled at for asking for silverware. They did not offer chips or any condiments. I was not impressed with the service and it was not worth it. Additionally, some other patrons of this facility were screaming and I was close to calling the cops. If you are a woman and want food, it is not worth it. Save your time, because you do not deserve it. There was also not a bathroom for paying customers. I will be contacting corporate for a refund.

Qdoba is one of my favorite restaurant- quick, easy and cheap. I usually don’t have a complaint, the food is always delicious, and the service is always amazing. My experience tonight left me sobbing in the car. I have severe issues with Gluten and since my girlfriend was ordering a burrito before I ordered my food, I politely asked the lady behind the counter to change her gloves before preparing my bowl. She didn’t understand, so asked her coworker what I said. When she got translated what I asked, she laughed and made some snarky remarks in spanish to her coworker, in front of me. To add to the injury, when checking out, the manager didn’t bother giving me my receipt, at the same time as calling my girlfriend sir. Very condescending, do not recommend going to this location if you are trans or need accommodation with your food.

The employees got our order wrong and were listening to things on their phone at such a loud volume we could hear it clearly from our seats at the front of the store. Everything was visually very dried out though the meats were the worst. The tables looked clean at first but were sticky, and the hand sanitizer was empty.

The food at least tasted okay, and service was fast. Expensive for what we got out of it.

I rarely ever write negative reviews but this one, I have to bring up so that people don't experience this:

So, me and my girl were going to eat out and she suggested we go to QDOBA because we tried QDOBA in LA and we had a great experience. Thinking that we would get the same good experience we had back in LA here in Madison, we decided to go to QDOBA in State St., I wish we hadn't gone there.

One of the employees (a big person with pink/violet hair) had absolutely zero hospitality and was very rude.
In QDOBA LA, we got to choose just about everything that goes on our bowl. In Madison, after we indicated what kind of order (e.g., Fajita chicken) the employee with the pink hair straight up didn't give us the option to choose what toppings to have and just gave us just some random combination of toppings (i.e. he choose everything himself minus the type of meat). He just rung up the orders and didn't even ask if we wanted chips (which come for free with our order) nor did he ask if we wanted any condiments. He just passed everything to the register and rung up the order.

Another example of how that one employee was rude was when my girl was reaching over the glass to point at a specific topping she wanted, and for some reason the employee with the pink hair got very nasty and raised his voice on my girl saying not to reach over the glass. Which is funny, her hand, which was 3 feet away from the food is relatively safe while the employee himself was:
1- Not wearing a mask (where spit can land on the food upon speaking with customers)
2- was not wearing a hair-net (where hair can land on the food).
Now you tell me who's posing a greater food safety hazard :)

I have to say though, the food was really good, but good luck getting over the attitude of that one employee.
And I also have to say that, that one employee with the pink hair is the only one who was horrible, the rest of the two employees were really good. The person running register (M, 20-28 yrs old) was very polite and so as the other lady. But the way that one employee was the kind of rude that ruins your mood. I'm writing the review a day later because it really stuck in my head.

Tonight, a group of my friends and I ordered Qdoba off of Eat Street at 5pm and a few items for our order were missing. We then called at 6:15pm to report our missing items. Went here for dinner with my team from work, and everyone seemed to enjoy their meal. Huge portion sizes and good tasting food. One of my coworkers particularly recommended the trout. Another is vegetarian, and had a hard time finding something to eat (docked a star for that). The ambiance is very nice too. They have tubs of peanuts on the table, and you can just take the shells off and drop them on the ground. The place has a nice rustic feel to it and is very busy. Definitely seems like one of the popular places in town.
