If you encounter a red haired man who has an ice pack on his neck-walk out. This worker had no anticipation to be there. He was rude, lazy, and would not listen to what I want. I'm a frequent Qdoba visitor..the food it's self is great and plenty of a variety to pick from. The quantity... that's another story. Even when asking for more of a particular ingredient..... it's barely enough. There was a You Tuber who went to Qdoba and tested the theory out... he recorded the people making his food and got plenty of it... when he didn't record them.. he got a lot less. I'm playing with the idea of trying that out and see what happens. It shouldn't matter... it should be the same amount regardless if it's being recorded or not. The dining area could use some cleaning.... it's not uncommon for garbage and food to be seeing on the floor. I've never seen the place super busy so there's really no reason for it.

Update 4 June 2024: we ordered a quesadilla with brisket and were given a scant bit of meat. When we asked for a bit more we were told it would be extra. Crazy.......
The burrito on the other hand had 3x more meat. It was still smaller than my dollar bill. It should not matter what you order. There needs to be consistency despite the change of employees the past few years. I'm bilingual and did catch the woman's comments to the other woman regarding the complaint about the very small portion in the quesadilla in Spanish. Gotta do better Qdoba

First one in the door when they opened (Saturday morning). New surf and turf burrito was advertised, ordered it in a bowl but after the bowl was already being made they said that the veggies weren’t prepared and they didn’t have shrimp. Worst experience I’ve ever had at a Qdoba and it was because of your manager on duty. Giving an attitude with me (the paying customer because I wanted to pay cash and my partner was going to pay with card) also yelling at the 16 year old worker. There was barely any food available!! No queso no brisket I got half the normal size of a bowl and my partner got half of a burrito because they were out of literally everything! As we were driving by Manitowoc we wanted to stop for dinner and noticed the colorful reviews of this restaurant. We committed to stopping and agreed to post good or bad as we never play food critic and thought the adventure sounded fun. As we arrived the restaurant was nearly empty on a 6pm on a Monday. We were immediately greeted with a smile and pleasant greeting and willingness to help when we were ready. Dispelling other reviews we saw no one who looked high or couldn’t form a sentence. We were served immediately and we all ordered variations of burrito bowls and the only complaint was that the sour cream ran out on one and was a little light. The gentleman who checked us out was efficient although no smile. He dressed a bit like a beer distributor with a Bud hat and Corona shirt versus the uniform everyone else was wearing. The general cleanliness was OK although sitting across from the soda machine and condiment counter they could definitely use a sweep underneath. In fairness you wouldn’t see it unless you were seated. One of our party did use the restroom and suggested it looked like it could use a cleaning. Overall, no major issues and not as bad as we feared after reading the reviews. I will update the post if we experience any I’ll effects on the remainder of our drive.

Regarding the location in Manitowoc Wisconsin: If you were short of patience and know what you want, do not go into this place. The employees are less than robots and more like zombies. They will give you the wrong food and just look at you when you tell them that they have served you the wrong food. I could swear that the counter service gentleman could not make a simple sentence, and when I told him that he had put meat on my vegetarian salad, he just looked at me with his mouth open, and I can swear a little spittle came out. I paid for it anyway, but I will never ever go back to that restaurant. The manager watched the entire event and just stared at us.

I had not been to a Qdoba in many years. In April, I went to one in Madison and really enjoyed their street tacos. I was in Manitowoc Sunday & went to this Qdoba. They didn't have the street tacos on the board, but the man working said he could make them. He asked if I wanted them made per the recipe & I said yes. The onions on Madison were very thin, these where huge, thick onions. The cheese was completely different. They tasted nothing like the amazing ones I n Madison. The staff was very friendly. Unfortunately, the majority of the tables were dirty & the bathroom was filthy.
My mom had the shrimp bowl they were advertising & loved it. When you eat at a chain restaurant you expect the same food to taste & be prepared in the same way.

Well the fact that this place was empty on a Saturday at 6pm should've been a dead give away to go somewhere else. Ordered a burrito and the girl who made it was obviously a new employee but rather than help her the 3 other employee's sat around trying to look busy while sitting on their phones. The burrito was seriously under portioned and was the smallest burrito I've ever gotten at a Qdoba before. It looked like a chili cheese burrito from Taco Bell. Chris Stevens and Noah were my servers when visiting for the first time. They were friendly, patient, well versed with their selections of meats, toppings, etc. As well as giving brilliant advice on combos and things to try with my bowl to help create the flavor combination I had come in striving for. Its not often that I come to Sheboygan but when I do, this is definitely a destination I seek out. Not only for the service but the flavourful, well sized portions they offer at their establishment. It truly blows away any similar competitors like Chipotle. I'm anticipating to see more of their stores open around Wisconsin, as long as they keep up this A+ level of service. Kudos to the workers especially, I hope you get the praise and recognition you deserve for your hard work and passion for your job!

This was my second time giving this location a chance.

We ordered online to bring home. It said it would be ready in about 10 minutes. We took 20 getting there and still had to wait 10 mins.

In addition to everything else, we ordered a large queso and chips. This is how empty the bag was (see pic). Then the chips were either stale or almost soggy.

Two parts of the order were wrong.

Compared to past experiences with other locations of this chain, there was barely any meat on the burrito.

2 stars because what wasn't messed up wasn't bad. As a chain should be. You should know what you're getting from one to the next, for the most part. But we won't be returning to this location.

I’ve held off weighing in on qdoba in Manitowoc for a long time due to the fact that I do not like complain. With that said I feel it is only right to leave a review. Qdoba in Manitowoc is terrible in almost every way. The food is very inconsistent, the service is unfriendly, and the only time I feel the food is good is when the regional manager from Florida is working. You can eat qdoba in Green Bay and wouldn’t even think they are the same franchise. I’ve spent hundreds on this qdoba over the years giving it a chance time after time, I believe it’s time for me to be done, save your money, or go to fast taco.

Absolutely terrible experience on 07/10/2021. I ordered food to be picked up at 2:30 and it wasn’t ready until 4:00pm. Employees stood around for 10 minutes before informing me that they ran out of rice and asked if I wanted to wait for rice or get my food without it. I told them I would wait.

They said it would take 20 minutes to make rice, it took over 40. Nobody apologized for the delay, no one kept me updated on what was happening. One of the employees shot me dirty looks the whole time, while making personal phone calls at the register, (because if I didn’t wait for rice, she wasn’t going to make it. I heard her complain about this.) when I finally got my food, I received with an eye roll from the employees.

In the last couple of years, the quality in food and staff had significantly declined at this location and it’s so disappointing.

We were passing through & decided to stop at the Qdoba on Calumet Ave Manitowoc. We noticed right away that 2 workers were not wearing their masks correctly (not covering their nose & the other only on their chin).
