We were recommended to this place for good Mexican food. The menu is fairly large with many available options. Since this was our first time eating there we had the Create a Platter. This option has Rice and refried beans and allows you to choose 2 entrees. I chose the burrito and the chimichanga. The food was good and arrived incredibly quickly. The pricing seemed appropriate. All-in-all the experience was quite good.

This restaurant is a gem. Great service excellent food and at least a dozen different beers on tap, including Summit EPA. This is by far the best Mexican food within a half hour of Spring Valley, Wisconsin and I look forward to coming back. Molcajete was flavorful and delicious. Margaritas were great as well. We discovered this hidden gem on a drive home to Minnesota from an event in Wisconsin. I haven't had Mexican food this good since I lived in California. This was my 14th visit to Rancho Loco Grill & Bar, not including the takeout I've ordered. The authenticity of Mexican food is exceptional. I'm there for the mariscos, mocajetas, and tacos de al pastor. Tonight, I learned the owner is from Guanijato, MX. If you know anything about Mexican food, it is the state of Michocan, MX makes the best food in Mexico because of their authentic flavors and seasonings. The state of Guanijato borders Michocan. After my first visit, I knew there was something more that this restaurant had compared to countless others and kept me coming back.

The staff is exceptionally friendly and welcoming. The ambiance is fantastic, and they play my favorite Mexican music. Baldwin is lucky to have this restaurant in their community, I've been to several Mexican restaurant in MN and WI, and this is by far one of my favorite and reasonable prices.

My husband and I were craving Mexican food and did not want to drive far. We did a quick Google search and came across Rancho Loco in Baldwin. It was the best decision we could have made!!! My family is spread between the Twin Cities and Eau Claire, so we chose this nice little Mexican bar & grill as a midpoint for my Mom's birthday (smiling below).

It was a great choice, as the food was superb, the service was stellar, and the atmosphere was just what we needed - so the dudes could keep track of the football games while the other half chatted.

Second time coming. Drinks are good and service is good. We at lunch on a Saturday and the food came out super fast. However the cheese enchiladas were luke warm. The cheese inside wasn’t even melted. Just looked like unheated shredded cheese when cutting them. We’ve gone here a few times since they opened last year on my birthday and I’ve been very pleased with the quality of food and service. I’ve even tried a few meals I hadn’t had before (we eat Mexican pretty frequently) and it was so good! I would recommend the Pollo Oaxaca for sure! I'm so bummed to be saying this because I was so excited for more restaurant options in Baldwin, especially Mexican food my favorite! Ordered take out, got it home and thought we got the wrong order. Brought it back to be told it was the right order. My chimichanga (came with 2 probably because they're so small) was tiny, soggy and not crispy deep fried like any other chimi I've ever had. It did not come with rice, which it says it does in the menu but the waiter argued me that it doesn't. My kids meal burrito and hard shell taco were in the same container smothered with enchilada sauce and no beans and rice which we specifically wanted, said it comes with on the menu but again, waiter argued it did not. Guess how soggy the hard shell taco was with enchilada sauce on it. And the alacarte beef soft shell tacos well, there's 3 of them in my picture. Such a bummer. Cost 30$.

Just had dinner and a margarita tonight. Drink was delicious. I was a bit disappointed in the burrito veracruz. It said shrimp, scallops and crab. But it had imitation crab meat, and tiny dime size scallops. The crab meat tasted slimy because it was cooked. Scallops tasted gummy. I just felt mislead with imitation versus actual crab. Oh my gosh, I was so impressed. I never write reviews but felt compelled to do so. This was some of the most flavorful Mexican food I’ve had, maybe EVER! They actually use seasoning and care about what your food visually looks like. Service was outstanding. My wife and I are here tonight and really enjoyed the evening. They just opened recently so it wasn’t too busy. I would highly recommend this restaurant for the food, atmosphere and service.

Even though they’ve only been opened a short time, the food was really well prepared and seasoned so the talented cook staff came prepared to impress!
