We went to Red Robin in Appleton Sat night. It was my husband’s birthday so he got the free gourmet burger and I got the Yum burger special $9.99. We got the bill and the girl stated I can’t get the Yum burger special. I paid full price for it plus my beverage extra. I asked why I had to pay full price for Yum burger and full price for beverage. She said because the birthday burger was a special and you can’t get both. We were never told this. Plus they placed us near a screaming kid for our entire meal. We walked out not happy.

Servicer's attitude in the bar area was horrible! We never got her name. Sunday around 1:55 pm my son and I were seated in the bar area booth for Red Robin’s Calumet location. We were there for 10 minutes with only 2 other tables- the bartender appeared to be on their phone and then talking to the person sitting at the bar. Still we were patient, and i asked the hostess if we had a server in the bar area. The bartenders sharp response was “I was helping someone!”.. if being on your phone or not making direct eye contact or even a “I will be right with you” is not the way you serve, work on your customer service!! It takes less than a minute to make a drink order or even acknowledge a guest. As julia Roberts said in pretty woman said.” You work on commission (tips).. big mistake!”

For the past 14 years red, Robin has been a long lived tradition in the relationship of my husband And I. In fact when we are able to, we go every year on our anniversary, and or birthdays, and even when there’s nothing to celebrate. Recently, while home, visiting my Dad, we stopped at a Red Robin because there isn’t one close to where we live, and we had not been to a Red Robin in a little over a year (we missed the food). We had noticed that the service at red Robin seemed to be declining a bit over the years. But today changed my everything! We went to the location in Appleton, WI. A server named Nancy appeared at our table with a friendly smile and greeted us. She observed that my drink was getting low and brought a new one without me, even asking. It was the same with the fries. She listened carefully to our order to be sure everything was recorded correctly and repeated everything back to us. She was very friendly, very efficient and did her job very well. Not to mention the food was ready and brought to the table very promptly, it arrived hot, and just the sight made our mouths water. My husband, dad, and I took advantage of the $10 Tuesday cheeseburger deal. The restaurant was clean and tidy from the front door to the booth. The manager that came to check on our table was super friendly as well. I wish we were able to frequent this Red Robin more often! We will definitely return.

The wait was about twice what we were told, not a big deal. The waitress was exceptional to start out but appeared to lose interest as my daughter requested firesauce 3 times and never got it. One grandchild ordered broccoli, got fries, corrected the server but never received broccoli. My grandson ordered a root beer float for dessert. My waitress was very helpful showing me how to use the kiosk to pay and I paid but when I got the receipt realized it was not our order. Took a bit to flag her down but she rushed to get her manager. I never saw the manager. She came back and said he had reversed those charges and here was the correct bill. I asked her to make the root beer float to go. Reviewed the charges and started to pay again. The system flashed and indicated my bill had changed. Reviewed the bill again, oh, they forgot to charge for the float. Paid the bill again. This took a good half hour to resolve. I'm very disappointed that the manager did not personally address the reversal of charges or provide any documentation of it. I left realizing I may have paid for dinner three times!! To follow up, I didn't. The food was good though.

Had a totally horrible experience there on Wednesday. Went there with the family, 3 of us. Got our drinks fast enough but then the waitress preceded to take our order and not write it down. After taking the order which included an appetizer she commented "easy order" then waited 20 or more minutes with noone coming around. Then the main courses come but no appetizer. No silverware, no waitress, 5 minutes go by, still nothing. So I had to go complain to the people who were manning the front desk. Finally 5 minutes later we get our appetizer and silverware but waitress was very not attentive even though our area was not super busy. Absolutely one of the worst experiences I’ve had in years. We called earlier in the day to make a reservation for a party of 12, they mentioned they do not take reservations but insisted for us to call a hour before arrival just to give them a heads up.

Our party of 12 arrives at 530pm and we’re told it’ll be about 30 minutes until we’re seated. Around 630pm a hostess approaches to tell us it’ll be about 30 minutes or less until we’re seated.

Around 730pm we bring to the hostess attention that we’ve been waiting for 2 hours, they apologized and said they’re just waiting for tables to open up. Eventually they end up splitting our party of 12 into 3 groups LOL!

The food was delicious but being misled into waiting 2 hours for it was beyond unreasonable. Our drinks and fries were never refilled as well. They compensated our misfortune with a free appetizer on our next visit.

Just finished eating here as we sat down and the waitress brought our drinks she spilled my full glass of orange fanta all over my lap, jacket and and shoes. She laughed and proceeded to wipe off the spilled soda and not giving me a rag to dry off. I had to go into the bathroom to dry my pants and shoes. Our online order wasn’t ready because of their POS system issue and when myself and others were waiting for orders that weren’t ready the manager was extremely rude and unhelpful in trying to get us our orders over the lunch hour. I got the Whiskey River BBQ burger last night, and it was barely cooked. I did request some pink, but this was essentially ground beef. I ordered through DoorDash, and when I posted about it being undercooked, they offered me $5 in credit for my $18 meal.

ETA: Upon writing my initial review, I got in contact via the email they left me in their response. I was in touch with the manager, and she offered me her apologies, and I feel I was compensated appropriately! One of the best servers we've had, in a very long time. Our food was yummy and the kids enjoyed it too. Lots of great options for vegans, vegetarians, and gluten free. Their fries are to die for!
