Our favorite place to go when in town for a Packers game! Prices are so crazy for portions, you will leave VERY full (or with a takeout box). Have tried just about everything on the menu and always been happy! Perch is my go to but the steaks, pork chop and chicken are a hit too. Get an old fashioned and enjoy your wait for a table, it’s the best part.

They have great food, especially the fish- And not only on Fridays. They have an amazing displayed collection of Packer memorabilia. Worth stopping by just to look at all the jerseys photos etc.
Sometimes they can be extremely busy, with long wait times. However you can wait in the bar area and get drinks easily during the wait. Even when they are busy, it's worth the wait. We really like their food. And typically the meal is topped off with a complimentary cup of pistachio ice cream.

Traditional Wisconsin supper club atmosphere and bar. Expect a 45 min wait minimum for a Friday or Saturday night after 5pm. Good drinks and service, nothing to complain about. I highly recommend the Sunday chicken special or Friday fish. Both are one of the best in the area. I also order the surf and turf special occasionally. The ribeye is more then I can finish in a sitting, always grilled and seasoned to perfection. Flavor and texture is spot on. The lobster tail is tender, with the appropriate texture and clean flavor fresh seafood should have. With an $80 price tag, I'd expect absolutely nothing less and the Redwood delivers!

Placing this restaurant under a 1 Year Ban.
They refuse to Answer their phones for 30 mins. Absolutely ridiculous!
And when you do order you sit there and they refuse to have a better system to pickup. How difficult is it? Have an outside window similar to say Rosati's Pizza. You stand there for 5-15 mins and hope a nice waitress asks if you have
been helped. Do better ! Poorly run!

We finally got a chance to try out the Redwood Inn. Bartenders took good care of us, and were fun. I had the perch, and it was just as delicious as its reputation indicates. The baked potatoes were surprising. Two big, beautiful baked potatoes came per person. You won’t run out tartar. Cole slaw was great Service was great. The parking lot was packed, but they are efficient, and know how to move people through.

Food was good but the service was VERY slow. Servings got smaller and prices went up. We sat down at the bar and it took 20 minutes just to get a drink. When we did get drinks, they were so strong we couldn't even drink them and they were to busy and seemed short staffed at the bar to say anything. When we got to our table, the silverware was dirty. While we were eating, nobody even came to check on us to see how the food was. Couldn't even leave a tip if I wanted to since they only accept cash tips and no way to get cash to tip. Redwood Inn is not the same as it was 20 years ago and we will probably not be going back anytime soon. Didn't even get a grasshopper, if they still offer those, like they use to do.

Redwood Inn has always been a favorite, and we were so happy to be able to visit! The food is AMAZING, the staff is attentive, and the atmosphere is so welcoming and friendly! We were pleasantly shocked at the portions on the Broasted Chicken and 1/2 Perch Plate. The flavor can't be beat, and the food was prepared perfectly. I can't say enough good things about this establishment! The prices are very reasonable too. We did wait at the bar for a few minutes, even though we did get there early. It was nice to check out the Packer memorabilia and converse without shouting, too. Thanks for living up to all the good memories we have of this place!

If I could give zero stars I absolutely would. We walked in and took a number and menus just as the sign stated to do. After being stared at and ignored by several staff members I finally went over to someone in the dining room and asked if we were supposed to sit ourselves or what we were supposed to do next. She stated that we find seats at the bar or a table within the bar and someone would come to our table. After doing this, and still being looked at and ignored by several staff walking around and serving in the bar we finally decided to leave. My kids were very hungry and we were all upset about being treated this way.

Ate here on a Saturday night and was able to get seating right away. They had a unique system where you take a menu and number at the door, sit at the bar to order, and then could take your food elsewhere if you wanted.
Prices were great, especially for the quantity of food. They were out of onion rings so I did the walleye and fries, and it was four medium-large fillets and a large portion of fries. It was rather amazing. Preferring only lemon on my fish, I found them to be cooked well, but with rather bland breading. I didn’t get a strong flavor profile from either the breading nor the fish.
The fries were unremarkable. I’ve had similar fries at home made in the air fryer or oven.
My server was professional and answered questions when I shared them, but I found them to be otherwise stand-offish; the other servers at the bar were more friendly and welcoming. Was not a huge issue at all, but I noticed it.
Their beer selection was focused on big brands as you’d expect at a northern sports bar, but they did have one or two good micro beers if you’re not into bud/miller products.

My fiancé has been here before and raved about the broasted chicken and fish. This time he got the broasted chicken and I got the ribeye. It was pretty busy for 5pm on a Thursday. The wait was fine but the service at the table was horrible. If you haven’t been here before, they do things a bit differently. You come into the restaurant and get a number from the bar. Once your number is closer to being seated a lady takes your order and once your food is ready or just about ready they seat you. I had to ask the server for my salad at the table because she brought out our food first then had no clue I had a salad with my meal. I didn’t want the salad after that. The broasted chicken was great and so was the coleslaw. The stuffing was way over seasoned and honestly not edible. I ordered my ribeye medium and it came very rare. We didn’t have a server check on us or anything the whole time we ate. The only time someone checked on us was to bring our check and ice cream that was complementary which was delicious. My fiancé had to take my plate to someone to get the ribeye cooked more and then she brought it back still rare. This place was honestly disappointing.

Very loud. No real service. You go into the bar and they give you a number. A waitress comes around, takes your order, you wait, they come get you when your food is ready and take you to a table, bring your food, then your bill and then a cup of mint soft serve. That's it. The nicest staff and patrons. Every time I go, I meet someone new, and they’re always fantastic. The food is at the high end of the fish fry spectrum. And the atmosphere is all Packers.
Now the negative. With popularity comes crowds. If you come on a Friday night, you will wait! Times of an hour or more are not unusual.

Went there on a Sunday. Told to take a number, got #19. After 25 minutes of waiting, noticed they were taking orders and seating people in the 20s. Went to the bar and asked about it. They then came and took our orders. Finally got seated and from there felt VERY rushed. My order was wrong, the tables are small and smooshed together. Mediocre food. Won't be back.

Bar tenders were not very attentive, and only 2 of them for a full bar (standing room only). They only concentrated on people seated at the bar. We were standing and waited greater than 10 minutes to be served. Orders are taken by order of "number" given at the door, but people who arrived after us got a lower number and ordered prior to us. Food was good but to me not worth sitting for over an hour.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Redwood Inn and I must say, I am blown away by the experience. I was recommended this place by a few co-workers when I mentioned my craving for a good fish fry. And let me tell you, they were spot on - Redwood Inn has the best fish fry in the Green Bay area.
From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted with warm smiles and excellent service. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, with Green Bay Packers memorabilia adorning the walls. I got there early as advised and took a stroll around the place, which was quite enjoyable. Time flew by quickly and before I knew it, my table was ready.
But let's talk about the food - it was divine. The fish fry was cooked to perfection, with a crispy and flavorful batter that melted in my mouth. The portion size was generous and the sides were equally delicious. The servers were attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. I truly appreciated their stellar service.
I highly recommend Redwood Inn to anyone looking for a fantastic dining experience. The atmosphere, service, and most importantly, the food, were all top-notch. I can confidently say that this will be my go-to place for a great fish fry. So if you're in the Green Bay area, do yourself a favor and visit Redwood Inn - you won't be disappointed. Five stars all around!

The food is really good and the drinks are fine. It has a very large bar as is not uncommon in Wisconsin.

We ate the perch fry tonight at the Redwood Inn, and it was simply unbelievable. I’ve been eating fried perch my entire life, and have eaten numerous perch frys in Door County, Washington Island, Milwaukee, and now Green Bay. In fact, we used to catch our own perch and fry it up fresh from Lake Michigan. But nonetheless, the fried perch at the Redwood Inn was about the best I’ve ever eaten.
The perch was very lightly breaded, and then cooked perfectly. It was extremely fresh, tender, and juicy. But the breading was the key: it wasn’t too heavy, which would otherwise take away from the fresh taste of the perch. It was just enough to give the fish the right texture, and perfectly complemented the taste of the fish.
Then there was the tartar sauce. It was light and flavorful, without being too sour, and most importantly, without being too sweet. It was a simple tartar with the right amount of acidity. It served as the perfect complement without overpowering the natural taste of the fish. Too often I’ve had tartars that were “fancy” or “elevated” and which basically ended up competing against the natural taste of the fish. That didn’t happen here.
No fish fry is complete without cole slaw, and theirs didn’t disappoint. It was very simple mayo-based slaw, and excellent. The flavors were well balanced, and everything was proportioned perfectly. The slaw wasn’t swimming in sauce, but neither was it dry. We quickly devoured the first bowl, and the server has very happy to bring us another. I should have asked for a third.
The place was packed to the gills (no pun intended), and we waited well over and hour and a half to be seated. And it was worth every minute of the wait. I should point out that the wait was only because of the huge number of customers. In fact, the restaurant was very well run, almost like a well-oiled machine.
Sadly, we don’t live anywhere near Green Bay, and we were just passing through on our way to Door County. But I sure hope that we’re able to visit again sometime, because the meal was simply exceptional. Great job, y’all.

The big draw used to be the large Perch they served. They only take cash and can be extremely busy at times. Their Perch has gone down in size but other than that. They have horrible customer service if you call you're lucky if you get a hold of anyone. They more often than not treat you like they don't care if they have your business or not. Other than the Perch it's really glorified generic wedding food. Their french fries are not even that good.

HOWEVER!
I will not be going back there or recommending this restaurant to others.
They charged me a 4% upcharge because I used a Credit Card to pay the $150.00 bill.
I refuse to use restaurants that charge an upcharge to use a credit card. There are lots of other restaurants that have just as good of food and do not charge this upcharge and i will be using one of these instead of The Redwood Inn.
They turned a 4 rating into a 1.

We visit the Redwood when we’re in the Green Bay Area, and have done so for years. Portions are always large, Fish and Broasted Chicken are great.

A local favorite. The men's bathroom could have been cleaner and for some reason it is always cold. The food and price are fantastic.

Something major has changed here! Leftover baked potatoes - burned on bottom & very dry. Perch is definitely prepared differently & smaller and rye bread dry & stale.
(Wait staff was friendly, so that is still good!)
So very disappointed, I was looking forward to bringing family to my favorite Perch place. . . I may need to keep driving to Wendt's on the lake for the best - Redwood Inn was comparable. I truly hope it was a once only bad day for them.

The last time I was here was in 2012. The service is STILL excellent! It's such a popular place that it's always busy busy but it was worth the wait! They give you TWO baked potatoes (who does that???) and the cod was sublime! The waitstaff was phenomenal; they all helped each other out, and things moved along so smoothly!
