Terrible service! They denied my reservation they said there was a problem with the Open Table app and that we had to wait 1.5 hours to hope for someone else to cancel. Big waste of time, there were spots open by the bar but for some reason she said that servers weren’t available for that area. But it was clear she just wanted any excuse not to honor our reservation.

Couldn't ask for a better establishment with lower lighting and quiet music. Definitely an awesome place to go on a date or have a high-end meal with friends. My cousin and I were in town for the Green Bay Packer game and we wanted a quality Steakhouse and we're Beyond satisfied with this choice.

He got the filet mignon baked mac and cheese and I got the blue cheese crusted ribeye. The price was worth every penny and the portion sizes reflected the prices.

Highly recommend this place and I personally can't wait to come back to Green Bay to check this place out again. Thank you for being a first-class establishment

Been coming to Republic chophouse every few weeks for awhile and have been told to write down what we would like from the curb by Heather, today we were completely ignored by the bartender Mason. When checking on our order we were told that we are entitled and to take it up with the curb. I find this very unprofessional as this is what we have been told to do and was just checking on our order

The food, service and atmosphere were excellent.! The portion sizes were generous and we all went home with leftovers. My only complaint is that my one of our steaks didn't make it home with us. I emailed them that night when we got home and got a follow up phone call the next day with an apology. I didn't ask for anything in return, just wanted them to know we were looking forward to having it with eggs the next morning. The manager said they knew of the mishap and offered to send a giftcard so we'd come back again. I said it wasn't necessary but she insisted she send one. That was several weeks ago and we haven't received it.

Totally over rated!
With what ive been told about this place, Im not impressed. Ive been wanting to go here for years and we went the other day. At first we were told we needed a reservation then they sat us at a booth by the bar right away, pleased with this. We ordered the calamari (Our favorite part are the tenticles, there were none. The sauces were ok.), the giant shrimp cocktail (not very big and only got like 4), and the oysters Rockefeller (so tiny, too many bread crumbs to even taste or find the oyster, and not like normal Rockefeller) to start. The sparkling wine Nicole suggested was highly enjoyed. The caesar salad was not very flavorful. But the tomato basil soup was the best thing we had! For our entree we had the Bleu cheese and dijon rib-eye (the cheese and dijon sauce was wonderful, the extra bleu cheese on too much was overkill, asparagus was good), and the sea bass with brussel sprouts (I could not really taste the miso soy sauce and the rice did not taste like ginger lemon, at least they added a lemon slice). We got the caramel apple cheesecake to go, it was very sweet. Nicole our server was wonderful and even threw in a slice of carrot cake because we were unimpressed. The carrot cake was decent, Im not easily impressed by most carrot cakes. For being over $250....Id say more like $120.

So we come here every year for our anniversary. Generally we have 'our booth' which isnt like a huge deal, I'm not that conceited lol. I also have hearing loss and severe cptsd so I cant sit in the center of busy restaurants where people are intoxicated and loud anymore, hence the booth we usually sit at. Got there for my reservation they tell me they got us a table in the center of their other room, which is always a fun. We sat down and proceeded to watch our waiter be super personable with everyone around us, but us. Even at one point bringing us someone else's food with happy birthday written on it (theyd shown up like 15 minutes after us and we still hadn't gotten our food when they were trying to bring theirs out.) He made comments about me wearing a hat so im sure he just thought I was too low class for the establishment and didnt think I was worth the attention. My steak was half well done and and half medium (ordered medium rare). Mushrooms were gritty, as were the scallops. Honestly we talked and decided it was a bad enough trip that it won't be our tradition anymore, and that's the most unfortunate part.

Been meaning to try this place for forever and boy, we didn’t realize what we were missing out on until we finished our food. When you first walk in, the ambiance is so calm and inviting but also a romantic atmosphere. We got seated in a nice quiet booth. Our waitress came over, Sarah R, and she was fabulous throughout the entire meal. Although our bill for 2 people was well over $200, it was the best tasting food we’ve had from start to finish. We started with the octopus as well as the half shucked oysters. The French onion soup was probably the best French onion I’ve had in the state. The bread came out warm and had three different choices for spreads on it. My steak came out to perfection. The garlic mashed were delicious but had no room whatsoever for them after having all those other things. For dessert we ordered the cheesecake as well as the red velvet cake. You could have fed an entire army for the size of cake that came out.

My only complaint, although minor, is wishing there was more N/A options on the menu. Their only Non alcoholic beverage they served was a Heineken. Yuck. So anyways, all around, we were very happy with our meal and our service. Cannot wait to come back to try other things off the menu!

My cousin graduated from St. Norbert and the family went here for his graduation celebration and I have to say it was absolutely 100% one of the best meals I have ever had in my life. The food was amazing, the service was impeccable, and I loved that there was plenty of space between the tables so our loudness didn't seem to bother anyone else.

Being the celebration that it was, we ordered so much food, but it was all brought out like a multicourse meal and everything was perfect. Yes, it was expensive, but for celebrating a once in a lifetime event of a family member, it was worth every penny.

I can't recommend this place enough. It will live in my heart and my tastebuds for as long as I live!

Also, the carrot cake was GIANT and EPIC. If you only come here for one thing, MAKE THAT IT.

This place is OK, but really not worth the money IMO. We've gone there twice. First time with a gift card so we were more forgiving (and the server was great).

We went back again for my birthday and were disappointed. The garlic mashed potatoes were lukewarm and very dry. I got a peppercorn crusted steak, which was dry and kind of tough. The other 2 steaks at the table were much better than mine so maybe it was the peppercorn that did it.

Regarding service, we asked our waiter 2 times to confirm that their steak fries aren't breaded in wheat due to gluten sensitivities. He assured us they weren't, even though they appeared to be. When my daughter's face got red, hot, and itchy we asked again and got confirmation that there's no gluten. After further prodding he finally said he would go make sure and despite his being "certain" the fries weren't breaded, he found out they were breaded in a wheat coating. At least he took the fries off the bill, but this was a really huge thing to claim certainty about without knowing for sure.

Lastly, it's annoyingly dark in there. I mean really dark. I saw others using their phone flashlights to read the menu and I personally had to hold mine up to the light to see it. I get the ambiance of soft lighting, but this is the darkest restaurant I've ever eaten in.

There was a free desert for the birthday, which is nice, but we'll not be going back again.

My experience at Republic Chophouse was nothing short of amazing. The filet was incredibly tender and cooked to perfection—absolutely delicious. The truffle fries were hands-down the best I’ve ever had, perfectly crisp and full of flavor. And don’t even get me started on the carrot cake—phenomenal in every way!

Enjoyed a great dinner here. Our drinks, appetizers, main course, and dessert were all excellent. There was a minor mishap on my wife's order as they didn't add the additions she requested to her steak, but our waitress was apologetic and made sure we weren't charged for the add-ons that were missing. One of the best signature old fashioned I’ve had to date. If you like chai and whiskey, they have the drink for you. Service superb, changed my order shortly before it was to come out for the salad and was happily switched over. Dinner was a perfect blend of textures and flavours, next time I’ll have the steak so can’t report on that. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a relaxing ambiance and exquisite food. Had dinner with a friend and everyone said this place is amazing, but I was disappointed. Our waitress didn’t seem happy to be there and we ordered an espresso martini and it was terrible, looked like coffee with grounds sprinkled on top and it was so strong. Yes I know martinis are strong but this was terrible. Most espresso martinis have 3 coffee beans on top and it looks a little creamy. This looked like coffee. Dinner was good we had the tomato soup, shrimp, caprese salad and bruschetta and it was very yummy until dessert which I posted a pic of, this was $12 and so small! I was very disappointed by the size of it when the other desserts I saw were huge and many could eat from it.

Absolutely fantastic experience. We ate at the bar, and Todd was phenomenal!! He makes you feel like a friend. He makes sure to get everyone's name and remembers it, too! To start, we both got french onion soup, it's definitely one of the best French onions I've ever had, I also loved how they served it in a bigger bowl as it made it not as messy as french onion typically can be. We also got some fresh bread with our soup that came with (3) different butters......say whatttt.....we had regular whipped, cheese butter & a garlic lemon butter.......I honestly don't know which one I liked more between the cheese and the garlic lemon. I've never heard of either of those before, but wow, is it a great idea. For the main course, I had the bluecheese mustard ribeye, which if you're a blue cheese fan like me, you will absolutely love it. Then we also got a side of brussel sprouts and guess what....they were fantastic too. Oh, and lastly, the carrot cake is absolutely huge, and we had a lot of people telling us we had to get it. I would definitely come back and see Todd at the bar again.

We have a new favorite steak house in our new hometown! After trying out a few spots in the last couple months, we found an excellent chophouse with wonderful service. Brian waited on us and he could not have been more personable. I was up for trying out a new wine and he suggested an excellent pinot noir. This place is 5 stars all the way around. The atmosphere is great,the food is great and the service was the best I have ever experienced. The whole restaurant was so nice and clean. Even the rest rooms felt luxurious. They say they buy their meat in the top 5% of beef quality and I won't argue that. It was fantastic. The pork chops were huge and jam packed with rich flavour. The Mac n cheese is so good. The bread basket with a variety of butter spreads was extra special. We ate it with the tomato bisque and it was just incredible. We ordered a piece of cake to share for dessert and it was big enough to feed 6 people. Absolutely huge. The entire experience was just top notch. I'm writing this review weeks later and I still am this excited about the experience. I highly recommend. 10/10!

We came in for our 6 year anniversary, and truth be told we had reservations elsewhere at first, but after those got cancelled we decided to pivot to republic and we said REPEATEDLY how happy we were the other spot didn’t work out. Absolutely one of the top restaurants in Green Bay. This restaurant decor is warm and elegant. The dark tones of the lighting add to the richness of the place. The bar is beautiful and there’s enough room for a comfortable experience. There’s different rooms for dining and also rooms for a private event. The menu is very appealing and the drink menu also has plenty of wonderful drinks to try. The prices are on par with many of the other higher end restaurants. Our server Thomas was great. He explained everything we had questions about even gave really good recommendations. I highly recommend this restaurant for all your special occasions, as well as just for those nights you want a great dining experience.

Stuffed shrimp- the stuffing was made from crab cakes, and it came with a spicy sauce. The sauce had just the right amount of heat. I could’ve ate this dish all day

Rib eye- seasoned and prepared perfectly. Every seasoned bite just melted in your mouth.

Filet- loved how well seasoned this entree was as well. Republic knows how to prepare their steaks.

Mushroom Ravioli- A-maze-ing!!! Yes I had to break down every syllable. It was that good. Great compliment to the steaks. I hope they would make this as a side option to the steaks.

In town for a short weekend came here twice. Service was fabulous. Food was good could use a bit seasoning but we enjoyed our experience obviously as we came back twice. Wasn’t a fan of the soups but otherwise my food was good. Bread came with a variety of flavored butters to try.

I have eaten here many times. The food is usually delicious. My wife and I went there for supper, with all the expectations it will be a delicious meal. The wait staff is amazing, knows how to take care of customers. Drinks were also amazing. My steak, on the other hand, should have been tossed on the floor so my dog could attempt to knaw threw it. This was the first time I had a bad steak from the Chophouse. When the steak was first put in front of me at the table, it did not look like a steak I would serve a guest. The large piece of grizzle/fat that ran the length of the steak,in the center, was extremely unappealing. It has been quite a while since I considered going back. For the money, please do not hesitate, like I did, and just pay your bill without letting your server know your food was subpar. I was subtle in explaining why I did not eat my steak, there was over 1/2 of it that was inedible. Between the grizzle and silver skin I could not cut through, kinda grossed me out and I had enough. It will be a bit before I consider going back. I do miss the place.

LOUD!! LOUD!! LOUD!! Hubby took me there for a birthday treat. Went there smiling and happy, ordered our food and then two large groups of drunks were seated by us. I'm not mad about them having fun. But the other side of the restaurant had open tables where people could actually enjoy the atmosphere and have a conversation. Ended up having my fine dining dinner scraped into takeout containers and left. My ears are still ringing. My husband is hard of hearing and his ears are ringing too. Not kidding ... it was rock concert loud. The two groups were out-yelling each other as they continued to drink. These groups were at the bar when we arrived. Good service would have been to seat us on the quiet side. Better service would have been an offer to move us to the other side instead of our server warning us it was going to get loud in here when the drunks were seated. My headache ruined my appetite and it's such a shame because the food was so good. Perfect steak, superior tomato basil bisque and the sides were great too. My steak was comped but I highly doubt if I will return after my concert takeout steak experience. That was my go to place for corporate dinners and I recommended that place to coworkers when they traveled to Green Bay. So disappointing.

Our dinners were really good. Our waitress was fantastic and took great care of us. It was my husband's birthday and they had a birthday card on the table when we got to it
and had a note in it that he could chose a complimentary piece of cake on them. He choose carrot cake and it was delicious! Our steaks were all done to perfection and sides were delicious.

Exceptional night out. Our 43rd anniversary and can't think of a better place to have our dinner. Mark our server was excellent and raised the enjoyment of our night. My only reccomendation would be to order your steak one level towards being more cooked. We ordered medium rare and they both leaned towards rare. Desert is a must and one serving will feed 4. A very nice place, spend the money.

All the food at this place is delicious. The first time I had been there was back in 2017 with my girlfriend at the time. We came from New York to visit my now-wife's family, and we both decided to go back again, and it did not disappoint. Daniele was the highlight of our night! She was super friendly and on-point with the best food and drink suggestions. She kept the good times rolling with her fun chats and perfect service timing. Amazing staff from the moment we stepped in the door to the moment we left. We were greeted by the hostess who wished us a Happy Anniversary and seated us. At the table was a Happy Anniversary card from the restaurant. Thomas T was our server and was absolutely delightful. Food was incredible from the appearance to the taste. My husband and I don’t typically like French onion soup, Thomas suggested we should really give it a try, which we did. it was absolutely delicious. Never in my life have I had French onion soup like that. The tenderloins were very good as was the butter assortment for the bread they bring to your table. we tried the Sriracha honey butter, which had a perfect blend of spice and sweet. So many wines to choose from, and dessert was phenomenal! They brought us the chocolate cake, which was four layers- absolutely huge. It is a high end restaurant but worth the money spent. The ambience is so nice. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Very good food, but felt overpriced. You'd think a place charging $50+ per person would pay for music without ads but their playlist played ads LOL. Steak was 10/10. Honestly, this has been the best experience out we've had. To start, Heather had our table set with drinks and a highchair when we walked in the door. The waitress, Heather, and the Manager, also Heather, were two of the most attentive and genuine people I've encountered in the service industry. We would come back solely based on how well we were treated. Heather, the GM, refused to let us change our son's diaper and did it herself so we could continue our meal uninterrupted.

Now for the food. The calamari and spicy shrimp were both super flavorful. The bread and butter assortment was delightful. The mushrooms and asparagus were bursting with flavor. Our steaks were cooked perfectly, and the taste was immaculate. Our desserts were giantic! My birthday cake was perfectly moist and delicious.

Overall, we had the best food and dining experience we've ever had in the US. 15/10. We will be coming back. Thank you!

The filet was as good as it gets here. The service from Mr. T at the bar was pretty rough. I'm hoping/guessing he is a new hire. I wish I was hungrier so I could try the other sides. French onion soup was different but tasty. Hoise salad dressing was on the sweet side for my palette.

Wow! This restaurant is phenomenal. The food is so excellent, and this is an amazing restaurant to start with for my first trip back to Green Bay in 15 years.

My dad and I ordered quite a bit so I'll go by section. My dad ordered a French Onion Soup to start and I started with their Bacon Wrapped Scallops. The scallops are AMAZING! They are in this super rich creamy sauce and they were cooked perfectly. My dad said that the French Onion Soup is the best he's ever tried in a restaurant anywhere.

We both ordered chop salads as a side for our steaks, and I'm so glad they have Parmesan peppercorn dressing. The salad is excellent, we both enjoyed ours. We also got served bread with 3 types of butter (plain, Wisconsin Cheddar and Birthday Cake). I tried all of them and they were all great but my favorite was the Wisconsin Cheddar.

Then came the steaks. I ordered a filet with bernaise sauce and peppercorn crust, That was absolutely fantastic. Easily a top 5 steak. My dad ordered a New York strip with Blackened seasoning and Au jus. He said his was also excellent and has quite a kick to it in terms of spiciness.

We ordered dessert, and I chose their chocolate cake. This cake is an absolute unit. Could easily serve 4 people. It's sooooo big, but it's an excellent cake. Very rich and chocolatey with a good balance of rich and sweet.

This was such a phenomenal restaurant. The service was wonderful even with a full house, and the food and drinks were great. We will absolutely be back here. I highly recommend giving this restaurant a try if you're in the Green Bay area.

This is a review from our dinner on 12/15/2023. We had reservations and seated right away in a booth. The place was loud with several “groups” having holiday parties and that is normal for that time of year. We ordered drinks, an appetizer (calamari), and our mains both ordered a version of steak. Everything was good at the start. The drinks arrived along with our appetizer followed by our salads (the chopped salad was really good!). Our table was cleared and the waiting began… after 1/2 hour our entrees arrived. Both of our steaks were cold, cold plates which is unusual at a high end establishment. The butter on top of my steak was a solid clump of cold butter on a Cold fillet. I took one bite and had to ask the waitress to warm up my steak. She apologized and took my steak to the kitchen, and while that occurred, I noticed my partners mistake was red and cold in the middle just like you would have taken it out of the cooler. The waitress returned and I asked about my partner Steak. I went to try my steak again, and it was no better than before. I asked for the check because there was no way we would eat this and she came back and told us that she was really embarrassed. We requested to speak to the manager and it seems the manager was too busy to take two minutes to come to our table and see the quality of our meal. I was so disappointed because I had looked forward to this meal. I’m not sure if it was just a bad night in the kitchen because I see many reviews on here that are outstanding. Not sure if the next time in Green Bay I would eat here , but if I do, I really hope it is a better experience. Note to management – if a customer request to talk to you, please take time and come and talk to them. This alone could have made a difference in my opinion of your establishment.

Delicious! From start to finish! Coworker found this amazing restaurant and it was a hit! We had a private room in the back (apparently there are multiple private rooms) and the waitress was fantastic.

The bone-in ribeye was fantastic! Large but that meant others had a taste.

Tomatoes basil bisque was the perfect soup. Truly delicious!

Lots of street parking and parking lots around.

I’d come back for seconds, and maybe even thirds.
