5/5/18 visit to Mazatlan in Oconomowoc was a disaster. I have worked in restaurants for years and never experienced such poor service, outright neglect and then poor attitude from staff and managment. When we complained the manager said he wouldn't help us, took the check and my card and rang up the full amount and tossed it back on the table and said have a nice night ( with a smirk) and walked away. My first and last visit there!

Excellent and authentic family-owned Mexican restaurant, with great fish and shrimp tacos, excellent service, and unusually friendly staff. Locals argue, but I think it is the best Mexican restaurant in Oconomowoc and the surrounding area. Alcoholic drinks are tasty, usually made with good spirits (not Jose Cuervo), and don't rely on margarita machines. Outdoor seating is available in warm weather.

Oh man! LOCO BURRITOOOOO! FTW! i love this place. the sauce on the burrito (green) is delicious, I roll out of there. They give you a enormous plate of food for a good price. Usually after eating Mexican i am hungry shortly there after, not so here! My wife and i end up rolling out to the car.

I got food poisoning for the first time in my life from eating here. I understand that it can happen, but my issue and concern is that when I called to inform the manager about it so they can work to improve food prep and sanitizing protocols to prevent others from getting sick, I was completely disregarded. I used to love eating here until I saw what little regard they have for their customers.

Ordered food to go and pricing online
is not correct! Paid $10 over the expected price and then called to discuss pricing error and was told that pricing online at Mazatlan website is not correct and restaurant website was actually made by Google and not by restaurant owner! Food wad cold as well. Unfortunate experience. :(

Probably yhe worst Mexican food I have ever ate. Food has zero flavor. Had a combination Plate. Chicken tasted like I was just boiled and thrown into a taco. Ground beef was extremely bland. I would prefer the store taco seasoning over this garbage. Enchilada sauce tasted like it was spaghetti sauce with added pepper. Do not waste your time or money on this garbage. The sevice even sucks.

Horrific! We were the only two people there at 5:00 on Sunday. My salmon was like salted shoe leather! Burrito came with no beans, no rice. My grilled vegetables had 1 pea and 3 kernels of corn with broccoli stalks( no florets) and a lot of onions. Disgusting display of food. Watched one of the staff wheel and deal with someone out in the parking lot out of the back of a mini van. Never go again!!! Wasted money. And the chilled mug had a chip on the rim. Could've sliced a lip open!

The portions have gone down a lot since they opened. Just ate there today and there was hardly any beef in my taco or my enchilada. Also they give out punch cards to save $4.00 after 5 punches and I always pick up 2 lunch's and he only punches the card once. It should be per meal ! The food is average.
