Nice older course. Always enjoy my rounds there. I had posted earlier that I thought it was a bit pricey. I no longer see it that way, especially when compared to other courses in the area. It is a good value.
9/11/25: Played with a friend there today and the course was in excellent condition. Really enjoyed our round there. Paid around $26 to ride nine holes, which is not bad at all. We will definitely be back!

I have helped run golf tournaments at Riverdale and other venues for 35 years and I can say with certainty that the staff at Riverdale are as good as you will find Anywhere. As busy as they are, their service and hospitality are in my opinion above excellent . The bartender spilled our drink cleaned it up, never replaced it. Talked and joked around with regulars till we brought it up to their attention. We waited the whole time we were here to get drinks, just to be ignored. Then wonder why people don’t like this place.

I am not sure how to assign stars since the first Friday Fish Fry we went to was a solid 5, and the very next week it was very, VERY disappointing! If I average it out, it's a 3. But as a math teacher, I know that averages mask the details because it's a 5 and a 2, so I'm going to explain.

The first time we arrived after 8 pm and the place was pretty empty. We got seated right away at a lovely table in the back room. The staff was very friendly and helpful to this out of town Fish-Fry-Feaster. The drinks were good and fairly cheap (a local beer for me and a tall, strong Old Fashioned for my Sheboygan-born hubby- which cost $.50 less than my beer!?!). The food came reasonably fast and was very hot! My meal came with clam chowder which was excellent - hot, creamy, full of clams, and well seasoned with herbs. My batter-dipped cod was crispy and the fries were, too. I enjoyed the coleslaw very much (but thought the idea of buttered poofy ryebread seemed like carb/fat overkill). My husband got perch with sweet potato fries/slaw, and while he enjoyed it, it wasn't as good as my meal. We left quite full and content and eager to return:)

And return we did...

The next week was our last night visiting Wisconsin, having left Sheboygan for a few days "Up North", we were passing back through on our way to the Milwaukee Airport and thought we'd lucked out it being Friday and we'd return to Riverdale for Fish Fry -which you already know was a big mistake! We arrived about 6 pm with plenty of time for dinner, a drive, and some time to enjoy the hotel. Upon entering the doors the place was loud! When we asked about dinner, we were told it would be about half hour to order, but that they could seat us in the back immediately. Again the staff was very friendly and in fact remembered us from last week:) We sat and sat and sat...and while we knew it was going to be a while, we hoped they might get us started on drinks and maybe an appetizer or even oyster crackers, but nope. Nothing. And it was close to TWO HOURS by the time we finally ordered our drinks and at the same time, our meal.

Though the chowder was as good as last time, that was where the story changed. This time hubby also got the Cod, in fact he ordered a full pound plus chowder because my meal had been so good last week. This was a full pound mistake! At the time of night we finally got to eat, it's never a great idea to eat a big, heavy meal, and worse, neither the fish nor the fries were hot or crispy. Actually, although the top of the fish was pretty ok, but the underneath was actually soggy, and,the inside just warm. Had it been sitting and got soggy from the steam while it cooled? (Don't know.) But because the cole slaw was so good last week, we had asked for extra, and this time we got bigger cups, but the slaw was absolutely drowning in dressing. Were they down to the bottom of the dregs, hard to avoid scooping all dressing? (Don't know.)

So while we thought stopping for dinner in Sheboygan about 6 pm before heading to the Milwaukee Airport Hotel before our next day flight was a good idea, we didn't imagine that we wouldn't even arrive at the hotel until about 10:30pm.

Recap: First there was the wait. I think if we come back next time and they even hint that "it's going to be a while", we'll go elsewhere because while a half an hour is fine if the food is good, no fish fry is good enough to wait 2 hours for, and by the time we got it the second time, the food wasn't even that good. Was it just the crowded dinner hour or was something else going on that night? Don't know. I do know that the bar was still loud and hopping when we left the second time which it was not the week prior, even though we were leaving about the same time.

I think maybe the key is to see if they take reservations, and if they do and we get seated and they ask to take our order fairly quickly after we arrive, we stay. Otherwise...maybe we better find another recommendation for great fish fry in Sheboygan for next time!

This is the "local" course for me. Good value for the money. It's not a world class golf course by any means, but I will continue to use it. Course conditions have noticably improved since new ownership took over a few years ago, sand traps are now playable!

This is one of my favorite local restaurants. Their pizza is absolutely fantastic and probably my favorite in the area. I frequently order carryout from here and have never had a bad experience. The workers are always friendly and the food is great quality. I also highly recommend their wings! They have a ton of sauces to choose from. Overall this is an excellent place for lunch or dinner.

Grandparents had/have (sit on my grandpa's bench on 8) been members here for decades...and for good reason.

Relatively inexpensive golf ($50/18), excellent bar/restaurant, excellent staff...forget Olive Garden, when you're HERE? You're family. The Millers, who own T&C, Miller's Glen, and Riverdale, are doing wonderful things with it.

And Tammy? She's the best in the biz.
