I’ve only had one poor experience here. The rest have been great. The whole team is wonderful. Damien, though; I’ve never had a bad experience with, he is super nice and helpful. I was cut in front of by a group when I was trying to pay and he stepped up and let them know that I was in line next. Pretty much the whole team is great!

We are traveling through and our hotel said this was the place to go and oh boy were they correct. Great atmosphere. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I came to this establishment with my family for dinner one evening and we were completely ignored. None of the staff members said one word to us. The Riv never disappoints! We love their food and especially love their delivery service. We had a delicious meal grilled shrimp with baked potato. Friday Fish Fry at the Riviera is just perfect! I asked for a side salad and could have had that just as my meal. Fresh veges is what this lady wanted. We ordered the fried fish fry. It's more like the shore shake on the fish, which is not my favorite. The fish itself was so fresh and moist it was just perfect. But let's talk about these potato cakes served with bacon syrup. Yep! You heard right, bacon infused syrup. I'm going back for a salad this week!

I very much recommend having hostesses, to ensure people are getting checked in and helped right away. We sat ourselves as directed. Watch 3 servers walk past us awkwardly staring at us multiple times (which in our perspective - we felt they were ignoring us), until the 3rd woman on her 3rd time passing us finally asked if anyone had checked in with us. When we said no, we could hear the disappointment in her voice that she was going to have to help.

Food was good, and I could see going back for, BUT the service definitely needs improvement. The table next to us made multiple comments also as they were leaving that their server (different from ours) made them feel like an inconvenience.

The Riv has always been a favorite spot to eat, but we recently had our first birthday party here. My son turned 8 and his friends all came. Brandon was great with scheduling and the staff was friendly as always! A few days after the party, Brandon contacted me because the cleaner found one of my sons birthday cards and there was cash in it! The honesty of the employees is top notch! Typically we love the Riv. We have noticed that when the really young people are working the food is not as good. If it's a Sunday or Monday evening that is when we noticed the difference. Nothing against the young people, actually kudos to them for working. Maybe they need a bit of adult supervision.

On July 8th we had company from South Dakota. We ordered a large pizza and had it delivered. The pizza was an Hawaiian with jalapeños, Canadian bacon and pineapple. When it was delivered we noticed the jalapeños were not evenly distributed and the cheese was the same way. Not much for pineapple on it either. The juice from the jalapeños ran all over the pizza. Since the jalapeños were basically on a pile on one side of the pizza it was too spicy. Long story short this was a very poor put together pizza. A similar thing happened to us on a Sunday evening when we ordered pizza.

Overall, your food is excellent but we have learned not to order food on Sundays or Mondays.

Ice really enjoyed this bowling ally. The staff are super nice. Logan and Eddie are the best. Friday and Saturday night they have cosmic bowling from 9:30- midnight for a wonderful price per bowler. I highly recommend this to anyone who enjoys bowling for cheap.

I get the exact same order every time I get delivery and the order is wrong half of the time! The wrap I get is gluten free and there is hardly any filling in it! They get one star only because the don't allow for a zero star rating. The lack of a hostess or acknowledgement of our presence or even a sign letting us know to seat ourselves is bad enough. But coupled with the fact that it doesn't matter whether you wait to be seated or you seat yourself is irrelevant- since there was not a single worker there who acknowledged our presense- either at the restaurant entryway for 5 minutes or after we sat ourselves and waited 15 + minute; it didn't matter as nobody acknowledged us. It could be because they feel that they already have enough business- so they don't need mine or yours either? Or they just don't like Hispanics? Either way, this outrageous behavior is unacceptable- so we won't be back. AVOID!! You have been warned.

Hello folks, I've always tried to suppprt local businesses in the Sauk & Mazo areas. Tonight it was the Riv in Sauk Prairie, this will not go over well but you need to cease & desist the breading that you put on your Friday night fish. It's way too thick, the key is light breading nothing thick where you have to chisel to get to the fish. There was no taste to your fish

My husband and I drove from Madison for the sole purpose of enjoying dinner at the Riviera Pizzeria in Sauk City. Nicole our server was unwelcoming, unfriendly, and inattentive. Both of us had waited tables for years when we were younger so we understand what the job is like but, the place wasn't even busy. In spite of our specific request to have our appetizer served before our pizza, she served us our less than warm appetizer (the cheese on top the potato skins had cooled off and had become stiff/congealed) at the same time as our pizza. Not once did she check in to ask how our food was or if we wanted another beverage. The other server working at the same time as Nicole seemed equally as uninvested in her job.
That the food wasn't special didn't matter to us as much as the poor service. A little friendliness or a smile or two would go a long way. All in all the experience didn't leave a good taste in the month. Having waited tables ourselves and so sympathetic to servers we typically leave a 25 percent tip for good service whether or not we like the food. Nicole didn't get that but that's on her.

Very close to a five! Ordered for the first time tonight, and it was a good experience. I live in Lodi, and after placing the order, I left home and drove immediately there. The place was packed, so I was surprised that the order was ready to go when I walked in. The online menu was easy to use, and the descriptions were pretty good. (I did have to call for clarification on one item.) Things could be a bit clearer for folks who have dietary restrictions. We ordered four items all without cheese (checked box and put notes in the order). Three of the four came without cheese on the main item, and the fourth had cheese melted on top. Also, there were rolls included with some of the items that clearly had parmesan on them. It may be a good practice when folks order all items without cheese to avoid side items with cheese or to at least ask. Again, they were super busy, so I understand some things go on autopilot. The food that we could eat was tasty. We will order again in the future!

We were at Riviera Bowl on Sat Dec 17th for lunch. Party of 7.
