Stopped in on a Monday night with my family. Ordered plate of steak tacos. Food was very dry. The steak taco was like hard small chunks of jerky meat. Wife seemed ok with her food. Server never asked how food was, only asked if he could get us anything else before he gave us the check. I mentioned the dry food at the counter while paying and they said they would talk to the kitchen, and didn’t comp anything on the bill. They also have a 3.5% credit card fee, which is ridiculous to pass on to your customers.

Overall not impressed. Pricey for the quality of food and service. Glad to see they remodeled and have nice atmosphere. The food could be a bit better. Fast taco in town honestly has them beat.

Best Mexican restaurant in the area. They serve real Mexican style food with cilantro, onion, homemade salsas, etc... portions are large. Carnitas plate is enough for 2 people.

The staff is usually very attentive and the service is fast. We have come in several times near close and they are always so nice.

The only negative is the margaritas, they are way too sweet and the blended is premixed so no option to change it. The mojitos are better, closer to the single refreshing drinks as intended.

This resturant will not disappoint. We came here due to my Celiac disease and inability to trust other restaurants. This was our first time visiting and we will not hesitate going again. I asked the girl if she could wait at the bar and then we would go to eat, she agreed, she was kind, the bad thing is that about 20 minutes passed and no one offered me the drinks menu, I had to order it, the bar was dirty and all the time I was there they did not clean it, and when I went to a table a girl was very kind to serve me, she did her job very well as a boy. I don't have their names but they are very good at their job.

Their food is so delicious! You get a bang for your buck... and many dishes are authentic. My youngest son took me out for the evening. It was delightful. All of the food was soooo good. The Shrimp dish was really spicy and tasted incredible. It's one that makes you sweat. The chicken tamales had an awesome flavor too. The rice is perfectly cooked. The chips they give you were warm, which means they make them in house. They had 7 different types of hot-sauce on the table. And the Pina Colada was in an emptied out pineapple.
I was told the Midwest didn't have any good Mexican food. I was lied to.

Happened to stop here on a trip thru town. Our server, Darly, was friendly and prompt. Chips and drinks immediately. Food served in under 5 minutes. Salsa was fresh. Food was delicious. Can't speak for anything inside as I got carryout, but what a great chicken chimichanga! ...probably one of the better ones I've ever had. Rice and beans are good too. They also have a carryout/drive thru window which is super convenient.

Edit: Food was so good I stopped back the second day and ordered the California burrito for carryout which had steak, fries, guacamole, and sour cream topped with their jalapeno cheese sauce. Out of this world delicious. Top three burrito I've ever had in my life.

Most of the food is excellent, most of the time. There have been a few times where it wasn't so good, but over all its worth it. I love the carnitas street tacos and the green salsa.
Service is definitely hit or miss. We waited over 20 minutes once for someone, anyone to come to our table after being seated and we ended up leaving since we were being ignored. Other times it seems as if they don't care to have your business or not. Some servers are great and others would rather not be there.
We have been coming to this place for over 4 years. There have been long breaks due to issues, but it is the best sit down mexican food in Fond Du Lac.

Our waitress screwed up my order that I repeated to her twice, didn’t refill drinks, and wanted to charge an extra $2.00 for more salsa. Additionally, they have the extra charge for using a credit card. I will never step foot in that restaurant again.

UPDATE: Decided to give them a second chance many months later and I am sticking with one star. They charge EXTRA FOR EVERYTHING. We were charged $1.25 delivery charge because we ordered something to go in addition to dining in. UNBELIEVABLE!!! Food continues to be mediocre at best and service is still sloooooooooow. Our work did a HUGE lunch order and we were missing some sides to our meals. I called to just notify them and the lady on the phone was so so so RUDE! She was claiming that she was right and I’m wrong and that she has been doing this for 11 years and she had never made a mistake like this. Just moved to Fdl, and we wanted to go and have a lunch date. After deciding on mexican and seeing this place, we went and had some of the best mexican food in our life; along with some drinks.

Also, our waitress, Darly, was lovely and made sure everything was perfect for us in our food changes, as well as in services. She gave us no issues with our food subscriptions and changes. She checked on us frequently and made sure we didn't feel rushed.

Every time I've come here, the portion sizes have been amazing. There was only one time that there was wait staff who weren't the best. Every other time- solid food, solid atmosphere, solid employees, fast service.

For what you pay, it's all worth it for sure.
