Food is delicious. 1 star less is because their fountain drink machine has mildew which could only mean mold. Just look at the ice dispenser area and you'll see it. One of the soda liquid came out with extra dark seasoning. If you know then you know. They should really look into doing a deep clean on it. Otherwise, take caution while drinking. Never seen it this bad. Even McDonald's doesn't let theirs build up. Js.

A very nice interior. I can only say this because I'm an outsider, but I like it the best in Wisconsin. We ate through it quicker than I can take pictures. Ordering fish is a crap shoot; you don't know whether you will get whole filets or just chunks.
This is a chunks place. I had the fish fry and for the price it is lacking. The "3 filets" were those manufactured "fish portions" in the yellow box at Wal-Mart. All three together wouldn't equal 1 small cod filet. They were not fritters, so it could've been worse. But for $15, I expect more and couldn't care less about a slice of bread or potatoes.

I'm not sure about the atmosphere. I used the drive thru. My cheeseburger was great. The only issue I had was with my shake. They had lots of options, so I order a chocolate shate with peanut butter and bananas. Unfortunately, after clarifying twice my shake had Reese's peanut butter cups in it not peanut butter.

I would love to see this menu revamped. Lack of vegetarian/vegan options. Tonight we ordered the Avocado club without meat and it still came with meat, among a couple other order mistakes. Our family loves Robert's. Their burgers are delicious- would say they are pretty equivalent to Kopp's. The shakes are great too. When pumpkin spice season starts, I'm rushing to get their shake (I don't like other pumpkin spice products, but this shake is incredible). The good was the onion rings, and shake. That's about IT !!!!!
The Bacon Cheeseburger had 1 half pc of bacon. The lettuce was stacked higher than the thickness of the bun. Absolutely tasteless meat and very thin patty (McDonalds thickness) Fried onions were cold and tasted more like oil. Bun tasted a frw days old.
Plus $25 for these 3 items is Ridiculous !!!!!

So impressed by the atmosphere of this restaurant with the lovely gas fireplace burning in the corner of the lobby. They have many booths, and two circular booths. The burgers are sized generously with high quality fixings. The soft drink station allowed for free refills. I loved the vanilla custard waffle cone for dessert!

Robert’s Frozen Custard: Jumbo Burgers, Jumbo Disappointment

Driving through Germantown, I spotted Robert’s and thought it might be a nice alternative to Culver’s or Kopp’s. However, the experience fell short. Unlike those other establishments, Robert’s didn’t ask what toppings we wanted on our burgers. Thankfully, we remembered to request ketchup, mustard, and mayo for the fry and onion ring mix.

The food itself was disappointing—over-salted and overcooked.

Adding to the frustration, despite a sign reminding staff to return customers’ credit cards, they failed to give mine back until I asked for it.

For two burgers, a cup of chili, and two orders of fries and onion rings, the total came to over $37—a steep price for a less-than-stellar meal.

Have been going to Robert’s for many years. Food is always prepared/cooked great. I make a few adjustments with menu items and it’s been right every time. Staff is always ready to greet you and while waiting for food inside, I see wonderful teamwork. Everyone helps everyone (Customers and each other behind the counter). Always the best customer service.

Favorite foods are the burgers, cheese curds (with the horseradish type sauce), and I always get the veggie wrap with grilled chicken. Veggie wrap is packed with many vegetables and they all go perfect together especially with the type of tortilla used. -the avocado on it and the raspberry dressing 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 -the grilled chicken also tastes amazing and is real compared to other restaurants.

Custard is so delicious. Wide variety of flavors of the day. Favorite are Carmel Cashew and Dark Chocolate Covered Strawberry. Love how you can get pints/quarts from previous days and especially how they’re listed on the board with what flavors/sizes are left.

The manager who is younger, tall, and has dark hair is very good at his job. He is genuine, kind and easy to talk to. He definitely knows what he’s doing and is on a path to success.

My wife and I stopped here on our way though Germantown for a quick dinner. The food was very good, as was the custard.

However, the place was just generally dirty. The condiment area was sticky and dried goo on the counter. I understand soda machines get sticky quickly, but this one was a noticeable mess. The floor was sticky.

Most fast restaurants have acoustic tile drop ceilings to control ambient noise. This place has hard, flat ceiling tiles which bounced and amplified the normal dining noises to an annoying level. I was happy to get outside in the parking lot where the passing cars were quieter.

It's too bad. With some care and regular cleaning throughout the day this place could be nice. Not all is lost - a more engaged manager and crew leader could solve lots of the cleanliness problems pretty quickly.

Kind of a weird review because I don't eat the frozen treats, but I have ordered some food here.

The mushroom burger was practically inedible. Sorry, but it was maybe one of the worst burgers I've been served. Also the same with the salad I ordered. I think I was able to eat a few bites where the lettuce wasn't rotting. The salad was a joke salad.

4 stars though, because their deluxe deep fried chicken sandwich is the best chicken sandwich in the city. It is Tremendous. I will eat no other chicken sandwich served in this city.

We've been here before but what an experience today. I thought it was me trying to explain a 2 flavor 2 scoop dish of custard wrongly. I told another person in our party to explain it better than I thought i did. He explained it, and it took 4 times before the lady taking the order to sort of understand. She kept repeating it wrong as she didn't understand. THEN, our 2 scoops looked like 1 scoop. I took them back up to her and asked if it was 2 scoops. She said if she added another scoop it would be 3 scoops. Totally missed the entire point of it all. She said the vanilla scoop was under the strawberry one. Really?She should have dumped the ice cream and started fresh or called the manager who helped her enter the order. I saw other orders, single scoops, passing by our table, and the single scoop custard was towering over the top of the dish. I know this because there are different size dishes depending on how many scoops are requested. All 3 of our 3 2-scoop dishes all looked like single scoops. At $4.99 each, pretty crazy. Geez, ya can't even go out and have ice cream without an issue. I believe the lady was new as she needed help to enter the order into the computer. I normally don't take the time to write a review over ice cream, but the 3 of us just shook our heads over this.

The simplicity of taking an order, filling the order, and the attitude when approached about my discontent was just ridiculous!

Besides that, the custard didnt taste like custard today. Very thin and soft. We've had better there before. Overall disappointing that I felt the need to write a review. I won't call the place as I'm not interested in returning any time soon. Shouldn't have been so difficult to get a dish of custard today. That's all I'm saying. Thank you
