Went there for a weekend camping trip with the fam. Food was great. The owner was very kind, made himself available when we checked in. Campsite did not fit our big rig well, as it was very unlevel and there was a tree in the way. We bumped our jacks as we were backing in. Water hookup was wonky and shared with neighbors. Lake was gross. Noisy trucks/guests at the bar late at night both nights we stayed. Overnight sites right next to the bar and only a few available. Toilets were gross. Shower house wasn’t much better. Place was in the middle of nowhere. There was absolutely no cell service, but WiFi was available. Seasonal guests were super rude to us. Definitely got the vibe that weekenders were not welcome. Some of the seasonal sites looked dumpy and unkept. Kids did enjoy the pool.

We camped for four nights at Rock Lake and had a very nice time! Jerry, the owner, was nice and helpful with a booking snafu on my end. We had booked sites 29 & 30 to camp with my parents, and found 30 much wider (we have opposing slides). Grassy sites with a fire ring, beautiful lake views! Had fun fishing, game room was well kept and affordable, pool was clean. The restaurant was great! Delicious pizza, fish fry, affordable well made drinks. Kayla was the highlight of our time there, she's a fantastic and kind bartender! Thank you!

We really enjoyed our stay at Rock Lake Campground. There was plenty of room for our rv ,trailer and space to set up my art studio. Laundry facilities were nice and clean. We ate at the restaurant Wednesday evening and the staff and food were awesome. Actually the hand tossed pizza was some of the best I have had. Turns out the owner used to own a pizzeria and makes all the dough and sauce from scratch. We rv all around the USA and would definitely recommend this place

Simply one of the best campgrounds! Kids stay focused on the game room, playground and pool (fenced in to keep them contained), which is great. The bar and restaurant are outstanding. Thanks, Jerry!

I ordered shrimp ($19). The shrimp were very tough and tasteless. The hash brown potatoes were very good. Cole slaw was okay. The bread was marbled rye (really?). For the price, I expected much better. I will never waste my $ on shrimp there again. My husband had deep fried fish and was satisfied (he's very particular about fried fish.). He agreed about the tasteless and tough shrimp. When asked by the staff about how we liked the meal, I talked about the bad shrimp. They received the feedback and offered a $3 drink ticket.

The music was jazzy and annoying to this country girl.

The sites are very close together giving no privacy or feeling of camping out in nature. Seems to be poor upkeep of the facilities like the pit toilets, picnic tables, and even the fire pits are broken and have large holes in them. Do not recommend this place for tent camping especially at the cost. My site was supposed to have electricity and water but didn't and so paying almost $50 per night is ridiculous. Don't waste your money, find someplace else!

Classic bar and grill on a lake in the woods. It doesn't get any better than that. A rustic lodge setting with views of the lake right from your table. They had some of the best fish I ever had, and I've had a lot of fish fries. Broiled yet crispy! It was perfect.

We enjoyed the location and the employees for our summer long stay. The regulars and full time folks were nice as well.
The restaurant serves the usual resort fare. The hand tossed pizzas were a great addition!
We didn't appreciate the owner so much. We too had to lobby hard to get our deposit back!
Counter Response:
Since the owner has a bad Napoleon complex and can't handle constructive criticism allow me to expound.
The mess he has accused us of leaving was the one he and his staff never cleaned up before our arrival. His response in our follow up to this point backed up by witnesses was a condescending one stating how we should leave his place cleaner than we found it. Really? Is it not your duty "owner" to have the site that we are paying for clean when we begin our stay.
As you can see he cuts and pastes the final part of the response!

New ownership is not friendly to fisherman and snowmobiles. They charge $2 per person per day to use the landing. Bit steep but I put a 20 in knowing I would be back. Next time they leave a note saying I have to pay again. The third take up there I paid $2 so they wouldn’t get upset, so for those that are counting that’s $16 more than I should have. The parking lot was full this time and I got another note saying I can’t park in the lot.

I miss the old owners that weren’t so greedy and power hungry.

My family were seasonal campers here for the last 5yrs. The original ownership was amazing, very friendly and made you feel welcome and a home away from home. With that said after the new ownership took over this past year the campground and atmosphere took a downward spiral.
Food tastes good when you actually receive it, if it’s a weekend expect 30-60min to receive your order. Twice this past year our food was sitting in the window waiting for the server to bring it to our table and when she finally brought it to us the food was cold. Bar staff has been subpar since new ownership.
New owner is very stand-offish. Not the friendly atmosphere like it once was. Would be a real shame for such a nice campground to get run in to the ground.
Good luck getting your seasonal electric deposit back, new owner will find anyway possible to not refund it.

Nice campground in the country beside beautiful lake. Bar and grill in the middle, good food, cold beer. Nice pool. Stayed in a 30ft 5th wheel. A bit tight maneuver for the dump station. Owner and staff very nice. Would stay again..

Great campground. Really good: has an outdoor pool, game room for younger kids too. They do have wood for sale but its on the more expensive side. The price for the site is very good though. We do enjoy going here. Lake is nice and quiet and really beautiful in the morning! Very nice owners!

Great pizza nice people. Situated in the middle of of a very large county forest. Lake has good fishing largemouth bluegill crappie northern. Excellent place to 4 wheel dirt bike and side by side trail riding. Hunting is allowed all around with many deer and black bear. A place for outdoorsmen for sure.

This place is just OK. Pit toilets, and ONE shower stall? Come on. Also, we got the crappy site behind the bar with the super bright sodium light on all night so it felt like the sun was out. We also were not told there would be horses right behind our site. Charming, I'm sure - until 4 am when they start communicating with each other via whinnying. Bar was decent, pool was nice minus 5 annoying kids playing a never- ending game of Marco Polo. If you have a fancy camper- good for you, if you tent it... move along.

The burger that I had was substandard at best. The bacon on the burger was not any better. The fries were GREAT!!!
The camp park is clean and well layed out. I did not know that there was a cerfiew and that The king Rick"The OWNER" was and or would be so cold and rude. I would not go back to eat at the lodge. If you are a early to bed person it would be great but if you want to be up late and have a fire, IE after ten pm then this is not the place for you.
