I got the burrito with chicken and chorizo and a taco with ground beef both had 0 flavor. My partner had the ground beef enchilada and that to was not very good. The ground beef has no seasoning at all whatsoever. The employee was nice and the place looks clean and cool but the food was a big let down. We had to try is at least once. Oh and the pop was out of a two letter bottle even though they had a fountain right there. Not coming back to this place. I hope they make the 10,000 they paid the city before they go under.

Positives: The decor and vibe was super cute! The place was clean and the staff was very friendly and welcoming. I loved the presentation of the food- it was perfect, cute plates, taco holders, cups, etc. the margarita I ordered was absolutely delicious and I’m PICKY about my margs! Chips were nice and crispy how I like them! Prices and portions were perfect! Rice was the best!!

Negatives: the music was so loud I could barely think, let alone have a conversation. Also, the soda was from 2 liter bottles so my husband said it was pretty flat and it melted the ice so quickly it was watered down too. The salsa was flavorless and disappointing. My tacos were very cold and dry so that made me sad. My husband said his enchiladas were also cold and very bland. Nothing had a lot of flavor so the food was 5/10.

I’m definitely gonna try this place again because I really want to support local businesses and I know sometimes people just have an off day. Maybe next time will be better!

Seriously was the best shrimp meal I have ever had, and I’ve eaten in Mexico. Husband has excellent steak meal. Food was exceptionally good, service was amazing, got our food quickly. White sauce (private ranch) was amazing as well. Highly recommend!!

First of all the interior is incredible, the investment in the infrastructure and environment is so impressive. This however ends up being a double edged sword. Given the niceties and upscale vibe, it creates a very high expectation regarding the food. The Tortilla chips, homemade white sauce, and salsa were a 10 out of 10. I ordered two entrees. The Chorri Pollo and Carne Asada. I was very excited to see how these were prepared and presented given the expectation set by the resturant environment. When I received my first plate I was so disappointed by the presentation. The first thing I thought was, " OH man its the same generic copy and paste refried beans and rice found at what seems like every Mexican restaurant I've ever eaten at. Then when I looked at the star of the plate, chicken covered in queso and Chorizo I was even more bummed. The plating was cafeteria style and not the entree quality I expected from the presentation of the restaurant itself. The flavor was fantastic, besides the fact that this was not genuine Chorizo. It was very Jimmy Dean's Sausage in flavor. The rice and beans were lukewarm at best which is almost the expected standard for Mexican food in Wisconsin. But nothing about this Entree was "Especial" The second Dish of Carne Asada which to me is the gold standard of Mexican food was a huge miss. Once again the presentation lacked on a major level. Very basic. The meat itself was a very cheap and thin cut. Shredded iceberg lettuce with canned jalapeños are an instant turn off. No marble in the meat made it tough and chewy. The flavor itself was basic and bland. It was not good Carne asada. It was OK. Now out of respect I ate both dishes in their entirety and honestly think they have the best tortilla chips and Salsa Sauce combo ive had in a long time. But that isnt enough. I want this place to succeed so badly, especially given the investment made by the owner in his interior. But at the end of the day a mediocre meal eaten in a palace is still mediocre. The food should be the prestige and if they want to succeed they need to improve the ingredient quality and dish presentation. They are clearly struggling to fill the resturant, the specials and deals indicate desperation and given the overhead and construction costs they incurred I can't see them making it through next spring. They need to establish a higher food standard and set themselves apart from other restaurants in the area.I am sure they are great people and I desperately want them to succeed. Hopefully they improve, but as of now, especially after eating the Carne Asada dish I wouldn't go back. Improve your plating presentation and invest in higher quality ingredients and I'm in. They should visit some higher end restaurants in Madison and Milwaukee and draw inspiration from them regarding plating and ingredients. For the price point Taqueria and Avacados are better options cuisine wise.

Stopped here for the first time and was disappointed. I ordered Mahi Mahi salad with grilled fish but it came with breaded deep fried fish. The Menu says it comes with Romaine lettuce but definitely came with iceberg instead and didn’t get Croutons. Wife ordered Rodeo Special with regular BBQ sauce but the ribs were different sauce that was very spicy. Our friend ordered Steak Chimichanga but received chicken. Our server was friendly and courteous. Overall poor first impression and most likely will not be returning.

If I could give half a star or none at all I would this is the motel 6 of restaurants the service was one white boy who didn’t even know the menu that he messed up and said the sizes change “ the beans & rice were dry as hell and I never got what I actually ordered “ it was just terrible all around . Don’t come here unless you want white washed food- absolutely false advertisement- all the rest of the workers did great but it seemed like the only good thing on this menu was the fajitas - just the hot plate and payed way too much for what we got it’s just bad all around .

We have eaten here a couple times and also done a couple to go orders. The first few experiences were great. The last experience not so much. One of the items was completely made wrong to the point that an ingredient that was added made it inedible. We had to go back to get it corrected, and not a single apology was made. Asked to speak to a manager, and they went to get him and he disappeared and never came back out the entire time the order was being remade. I understand mistakes happen, but an apology for the mixup and inconvenience of having to run twice should have happened.

I've been here a few times and look forward to many more visits, the food is great as well as the portions. We were given warm chips with yummy salsa and a cool ranch dip. There was even a rodeo playing on the big screen, so fun! The service is excellent and the atmosphere is very nice and clean. Everyone we've gone here with said they would be back. Treat yourself and give it a try!

I want to recommend this wonderful place we found on the way home. We went down to eat. Apparently, it's a new place. The manager greeted us very kindly. We were surprised by the very low prices compared to other places. We had some delicious margaritas, and their wings were super delicious. My friend ordered a steak, and his vegetables were very fresh. 10/10 recommended!

The food was amazing! I cant describe it very well but the Ground beef Chimichanga was sweet and flavorful. My partner had a Chili Colorado and they took the name seriously. It was definitely chili flavored and LOTS of onions. But the atmosphere was "ok" i suppose. It felt very flustered and thrown together. Like they were told the idea but didn't know what that meant. Otherwise the staff were very polite, and used manners in ways ive never experienced in a restaurant setting. 8.5/10 experience. Will be back for sure!

Beautiful decor inside a major upgrade from when it was Polito's. They have a mural that gave me goosebumps, absolutely gorgeous. Booths and tables so there is space for small and large groups. Chips, salsa, and another white dip served as you sit, all complimentary. Host was great and servers as well. Also they have a great kids menu so even if your kids don't like Mexican food there are options for them as well. It's brand new but definitely worth a try! Food is hot and displayed wonderfully. Thank you guys for a wonderful experience! We will be back!

We visited the Rodeo Grill, a Tex-Mex restaurant in Wisconsin Rapids. We like Tex-Mex food and were excited to try something new. Chips and salsa and a white sauce were delivered to the table. The white sauce was very sweet, like sweetened MiracleWhip. The chips were greasy and cold with the “salsa” being nothing but Passata, tomato sauce, with no herbs or seasonings. Very disappointing. I ordered the Burrito Extremo and was given a burrito with no flavor whatsoever. A side of lettuce and a dollop of sour cream accompanied the entree. My wife had the Fajita Salad which she said was tasteless with hardly any seasoning. (this coming from someone who sweats just eating ground table pepper) Staff was friendly and atmosphere was confusing for a Tex-Mex restaurant as the large screen TV was showing an NFC football game from last year and the music was high energy pop. Treat yourself to another Mexican Restaurant nearby.

My wife and I tried Rodeo Grill for the first time this evening. They do not currently have any alcoholic beverages currently, but they said maybe by next week.

The chips and salsa came out, and was served with a white sauce. That ended up being ranch, but that seemed a little strange. The salsa didn't have any spice and was actually a little sweet, but it had a difficult taste to place. They had some options for chip dips on the menu that seemed like they might be really good though.

I had the chori pollo and my wife tried the chimichanga. The chori pollo was amazing. Everything tasted very good and with a generous helping. My wife's chimichanga was good, but she had asked for it with no beans or lettuce, and it still came with both. She mentioned the chicken was more like chicken pieces and was not dry at all, so that was good. The chimi didn't have anything additional mixed into the chicken, but it was seasoned chicken. We both agreed that the cheese sauce that came on them was very good!

I think overall it is another great option for sit down Mexican food that is definitely worth a try.

I tried a chorizo quesadilla and my friend had a steak burrito bowl. I enjoyed my meal. My friend wasn't a fan of the steak in her bowl, said it was pretty chewy. Plenty of servers came by always checking on our drinks and getting refills. Atmosphere was nice, Spanish decor but not in a fake over the top way. The murals of la catrina were very well painted.

Maybe we caught them on an off day, but the service was not good at all. The food was pretty slow to come, with 3 out of the 4 at our table having items missed on their order. 1 person received the completely wrong menu item (Ordered a chicken sandwich with fries and got a chimichanga). The manager and waitress made it right and were very apologetic, which was appreciated!

I’ll update this review if I can go a few more times and have better service overall.
