Service was good. I got a pattymelt. I should have asked for well done as it was too pink for me. Normally they are always cooked through so didn't think of it and wasn't asked. MyI 8 husband got a gyro omelet. It was not described on the menu, however there was just meat and egg. No feta, tomatoes, onions, or anything else. Then we paid $5.00 for an orange juice. I realize prices have gone up but it was just a glass of oj. I would give this a 3.5 if I could. I would go back but try something else as it's a nice quaint diner.

Absolutely stellar! The biscuits and gravy at Rolling Meadows Restaurant transported me straight to a Southern grandma's kitchen, complete with a bear hug and a secret recipe. Each bite was like a fluffy cloud drenched in savory heaven, convincing me that biscuits and gravy should have their own food group.

And let’s talk about the liver and onions. I normally run from liver faster than a cat avoiding a bath, but here? A whole new level! It gets a big thumbs up from me. The liver was tender, the onions were caramelized to perfection, and together they did a little jig on my taste buds.

The country fried steak was good too, crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. It’s like the culinary equivalent of a high-five from an old friend.

Speaking of friends, the company was out of this world. Dining with Marshae and Mary made the whole experience feel like a family reunion (minus the awkward uncle stories). Their laughter and stories were the perfect side dish to an already delightful meal.

I was there for a Friday fish fry, service was awful and the fish was very bad. Tiny salad with 1 crouton, tiny sliver of tomato and the letus was wilted and not fresh. The fish came out 2 big pieces, but cut into the first it was brown colored and tasted old. The 2nd piece was uneatable, all hard crunchy batter and what appeared to be fish in between clearly overcooked and also old and nasty.
The wait staff was very bad, at 130 pm you would think it would be better?
As I paid for my nasty way over priced fish fry the lady at the counter asked how it was and I told her how bad it was and her reply "I have never herd of bad food here ever" REALLY? I'm making up that the fish was bad and tasted like it was last weeks fish? Then she said I can take a percentage off, REALLY? I spent $18.00 for bad old and over cooked fish with a tiny salad and she takes a percent off? That's an insult to any customer anywhere when they tell how bad the food is and the "manager" takes 1% off the bill.
Poor management here as I can only assume she was a manager. I will never be back and its sad because I was there with some family for a fish fry back in May and it was very good food and service.
