A couple days ago I had food from the taco truck and it was amazing. Although today I ordered pickup from the actual restaurant and I was rather disappointed. I got the Quesabirrias with consommé. When I opened the box up, the consommé had spilled all over the tacos which had turned them soggy and hard to eat, I also ordered no sour cream but they put it on anyway. I know DoorDash can be confusing sometimes and mistakes happen, I am in no way blaming the restaurant as if they did this in purpose. Service and everything was great, I am just disappointed my food wasn’t as expected. One redeeming factor was that the Agua Fresca de Jamaica was wonderful, Not to sweet, not to bland, right in between. I will definitely order from here another time, I just hope that the tacos are handled better.

LOVE LOVE LOVE since I was little I was always taken to la salsa when they were on 10th street. The og salsa if you know you know. But over the years the flavor is there not to bash them because I want to support. But the love doesn't feel the same. When my husband brought me to Romeros for our anniversary 2 years ago I fell in love. The love and flavor is there. It reminded me of my 3rd love. 1. GOD 2.Husband 3. TACOS. The owner is amazing and while it's no longer my dad I have a new memory which is my husband taking me to a new restaurant Romeros whenever good things happen. I love the food so much ugh and the horchata as a nicaraguenze I can say that the horchata is definitely approved in my family. Not grainy or overly cinnamon. Outstanding Mexican food in the heart of Greenfield. Popped in to try the restaurant on the strength of a good experience at one of their food trucks. The restaurant did not disappoint. There's a ton of mediocre Mexican restaurants in Milwaukee and this is not one of them! Really great service of food that was fresh, tasty, plentiful and priced incredibly fairly. The guacamole was as good as any I've had in a restaurant before. The drinks were huge and equally tasty. We went for an early Friday lunch and it wasn't too busy. Not surprising for a Friday in lent. The place itself was bright and clean and our waitress was super friendly. Plenty of free parking in a lot right outside. This is a place we will definitely be coming back to.

We went to dinner this evening and everything was excellent. The manager, Sergio, was attentive, personable, and interactive with multiple guests. We definitely feel the family vibe. Our eyes were bigger than our stomachs, but all the food was fantastic. We tried daiquiris, a quesadilla, Mexican corn, tamale, chimichanga, birria taco, and the pastor burger. Romero's is cute little place, bright and roomy. For being that small, it was incredibly loud. Not full of people so it was curious how loud it was. Made it difficult to converse without being loud ourselves in order to hear each other. Could be because everything is hard surfaces so there is nothing to absorb sound. It wasn't a cold atmosphere by any means, felt welcoming, but when it's all hard surfaces, sound just bounces around.

On to the positives.

Our server was wonderful. Attended to our needs, made suggestions when people were unsure and asked advice. Very cheerful. Took great care of us.

The food is just delicious. We had a variety of items ordered in our group. I saw various kinds of tacos, some enchiladas, I think one person got chimichangas; one did a la carte, while the others did dinners.

I put together my own combo of a Ground Beef Tostada, Birria Burrito, and Mexican Corn. The tostada was square which is a presentation I had never seen before. It made it SO much easier to eat. It was very tasty, fully enjoyed. The Mexican corn is just wonderful. Perfectly spicy without distroying your tastebuds for anything else. I had a bite of my burrito when I got home because I had to at least try it before writing my review. As with the other items it was just delicious. And it is huge.

In true form I wanted to try more items than I could eat in one sitting. The burrito and bowl of corn are such large portions that I actually have lunch for the next TWO days. Perfect. And prices are quite reasonable.

In addition, we all had various types and flavors of margaritas and we all thought they were very good. Large glasses. Two handed for me so I didn't pull a typical move and tip it into my lap.

My girlfriend and I went here after seeing Brian Kramp from Fox 6 come here a few months ago. It was INCREDIBLE. This was hands down the best Mexican food that I've had since I moved up here from Chicago four years ago. The chips were fresh, the salsa had a nice little kick to it!

I had a steak burrito dinner which was great. My girlfriend originally wanted pork nachos, but the server recommended the birria instead. It was a great decision. It was OUTSTANDING. We ordered the margarita flight which had traditional lime, blue raspberry, strawberry, and the Papa Alex. The regular flavors were good, but the Papa Alex was amazing.

The staff was great, the owner even came out to chat with us.

To top it all off, we got fresh churros that were filled with caramel sauce, with a caramel dipping sauce on the side. I would eat those every day if my body would allow it.

This will be my #1 go-to spot for Mexican food. It was worth every penny.

I went there within the first couple weeks of them being in business. They weren't real organized yet, the menu layout made no sense (combo dinners before appetizers?), and service was amateurish. That being said, you could see that they were putting in an effort to do right by the customer.
The younger guy at the host stand acted like he will one day own the place. I assume he is part of the family that opened it. He was doing his best to satisfy everyone and he earned my respect.
Once they get a routine down, I think they will do excellent. I will go back and give them a second, even a third try.

Came here today and I was not impressed with how the news made this place out to be. The menu is 2 pages and the item I wanted was not even on there. I had to asked the server and she said it’s not on the menu cuz it’s new.

Then I asked for a Pina Colada with no alcohol in it. And I was charged full price for it… Never once did the server ask if we wanted anything else to drink. The restaurant was less than half full she had two tables to take care of.

We decided to try a new Mexican restaurant. I read a review that said they had the best hot fresh chips and salsa. We arrived and were seated right away. We had a server right away but she did not tell us any specials or describe the menu. The items on the menu have a name but no description. She answered all our questions and was very sweet. The chips and salsa were not as we hoped. $6.99 for tortilla chips that were not hot and fresh and tasted like they were from a bag i could buy from pick n save and the salsa was about 3 oz. Not worth it at all. They do have a margarita flight which is not on the menu and $22. Its pretty to look at but not worth $22. I would probably just get 3 regular big margaritas for $8 each. The birria taco was good and the enchilada was good also. The burrito was dry, needed at least some sour cream and small scoop of guac on the side.
The $6.99 chips and very small salsa is the deal breaker for me- charge a little bit more on each dish to give the free chips to each table. Every other Mexican restaurant does this

First, our waitress was simply amazing. She was bouncing from table to table so efficiently and her customer service skills were superb.

I thoroughly enjoyed the Romero Margarita, Asada Fries and flan. Excellent portions and reasonable prices too! I'd ate only half of the fries and I was completely stuffed. There was so much leftover, so I needed a to-go box. That didn't stop me from bringing a slice of flan home too, to enjoy later.

I’ve gone to the food truck and was obsessed since then ! Gone to the restaurant as well and always a 10/10 experience. I recently had them cater my baby shower and every single guest was asking where the food was from. Definitely recommend!!!

I’ve gotten food at their West Allis food truck, so I thought I’d try the restaurant. Was NOT disappointed. The waitstaff was very polite and we we were seated right away. I hope nothing but the best for your success.

The chips and salsa are awful. The menu is vague; what is a cheeto burrito? Ramen burrito? Service could use some work. 2 stars for presentation of the dinners and cleanliness of the restaurant.

Hubs and I tried Romero’s shortly after they opened. Service was friendly and prompt. Open and clean restaurant. I had enchiladas and they were very good. Hubs had tacos which were also good. I loved the margarita flight! My only disappointment was there was no complimentary chips and salsa like a majority of Mexican restaurants offer. On top of that, they charge $7 for chips and salsa which is pretty steep in my opinion.

Our waitress and the rest of the staff were awesome. Very kind and attentive but NOT annoying. Prices are reasonable, clean, and "home" like atmosphere. I got the quesobirria tacos w/consume dinner. And my dad got the birria taco dinner. We both loved our food and the margarita was one of the best. Horchata is very good as well. If I had to say something negative the only thing would be I expected more flavor from the beef and consume but it was still good!. Will be returning.

After seeing so many wonderful things online about their Taco trucks my husband and I decided we needed to try their new restaurant. Delicious, delicious, delicious!!!! They gave us a sample of their chips and salsa which were amazing. Fresh salsa and crunchy, salty chips. I ordered the nachos because I’m a nacho freak and my husband ordered the taco dinner. The nachos were fantastic with lots of cheese sauce and the chips were still crunchy to the very last bite!!!!! BEST CHIPS EVER!!! My husband said the tacos were delicious especially the pork and the beans were seasoned well and so creamy!! Our waitress was very knowledgeable and very attentive but not overly so. We’ll be back for sure!!!!

Watching this business grow has been a blessing- im so beyond excited that there's now somewhere to sit down and enjoy WONDERFUL drinks and AMAZING food!! Highly suggest the Papa Alex Margarita and the quesabirrias!!! The service and food was outstanding and delicious!
