I thought we were going to have an excellent time because my boyfriend and I went during the week and it was a slower night, which if anybody has been to Ron's before knows it's often very busy. You would think you would get better service and better food when the employees aren't rushed. That was not the case this night. The cook had the worst sanitary practices that I've ever seen. He wore one pair of gloves the entire time we were there. Let me correct myself, he changed one of his gloves one time. We were sitting at the bar very close to the kitchen area. One would think if you had an open kitchen the sanitation practices would be pristine. The first thing we noticed right off the bat was the cook wiping his forehead with his gloved hand. He was real good at multitasking. He was handling raw chicken and burgers, while cleaning the equipment and YES gathered the full garbage can bag and tied it up. He scratched the top of his head once, still wearing the same gloves. He made many trips from the cooking area to a back room. Each time he came around the corner of the cooking area he placed his gloved hand on a shelf above. During his multi tasking and cooking, of course he handled buns and tomato and lettuce. He was good at placing his blue shiny gloved hands all over the paper prepared food baskets, as he often blindly grabbed for them after essemblying a sandwich, which remind you, has been wearing while cleaning, scratching, and touching various dirty surfaces. Let's not even get into the filth on the floor of the cooking area. The only thing he managed to keep clean were his own hands by not changing his gloves, during the entirety of our stay.
I love the ruebens at Ron's, well used to. I love the Rubens because they're usually full of meat very cheesy and on the greasy side that was the whole desire of the sandwich. Often on marble rye which this sandwich was not. Something was not right with the meat it was either leftover or cold or something it just wasn't the same and it was just stacked like slices of Bologna on a sandwich. And he forgot to put the Thousand Island dressing on it and gave it to me as a side.
Once we were able to finally pull the employees away from their cell phones they were pretty friendly. When we asked about watching a baseball game the employee mentioned she was watching a movie, but was nice enough to turn the movie on to a different TV so we could watch a baseball game on a TV we were able to see.

Have you ever heard of to-go long island's? Well since our stomachs were upset from watching the filthy habits of the cook we couldn't eat, so yes, we were able to get our drinks to go! I feel like that might be a borderline sneaky Bend of the rules.
If you've ever felt ill after being at Ron's for a meal it wasn't the Long Island that did it I'm pretty certain it was the poor sanitation practices. We will never be returning there!

We felt discriminated against, we were a group and they didn’t want to make the table for us and we asked that they only join one chair and the answer is that the waitress didn’t want to do this either, we sat alone 6 of the group for more than 5 minutes and they only looked at us and talked but they approached us to serve us. And we talked to the manager and she didn’t offer any solution or apology

My husband and I was there last night first time there from Chicago and wen I say I’m highly disappointed the food was terrible we both ordered the 9 piece wing ding $14.95 and both orders we received old hard chicken out of the 9 wings I ate 3 wings just pick out the meat and skin not the whole wing the meat was so hard on the bone I can’t take it so I flag the waitress down to explain to her that the wings was hard and old not fresh at then I knew it was something because after we sat down our food was out 5 mins later it so yiu know it wasn’t fresh so anyway wen I told the waitress bout our food she replaced the wings only 5 pieces instead of doing our orders over $15 got some hard ass wings I was so high pissed I couldn’t enjoy my night I will never return

Great food, however, if you have perfume allergies I would not eat here. We had in restaurant as well as to-go orders 3+ times ofer the last couple of months of summer 2025 - everything stinks like lavender fabulosa cleaning fragrance liquid . The restaurant itself inside smells like it, so strong and overpowering you often cannot smell the food. When we got our last two to-go orders, the actual bag smelled like lavender fabulosa. Not sure if others are nose blind to it, but its terrible right now and we hope they dial it back on the perfume fragrance cleaner because its off putting when eating the food.

This was our first time coming here. Our party of 6 came in and went to the downstairs section of the restaurant, the waiter came and told us that we had to get up due to there being reservations made when the gentlemen upstairs clarified to us prior that its first come first serve in the downstairs section.

The gentleman upstairs was nice enough to give us a table downstairs due to the circumstance, but we felt that the waitress downstairs that had told us to give up our table was ignoring our table on purpose. We waited for a substantial amount of time with no proper service given.

We were looking for a place to have an early dinner in Kenosha and came upon Ron’s Place. When we opened the car door, the heavenly smell of hamburgers hit us square in the nose!

When we entered, we could tell it was a friendly place, music was playing, the bar was pretty full, and the tables were half full. We were greeted quickly by Alexandra D., our server, she told us the specials and got our drink order. She came back in just a few minutes, and we gave her our order, which was for Ron’s Original 5x5 Burger and an order of Mozzarella sticks.

The mozzarella sticks were tasty, not greasy, and full of cheese.

A short wait later, Alexandra shows up with two of the best-looking burgers we have ever seen.

Our first bites told us our nose was right from the smell in the parking lot, and the look of the burger was on point because the taste was incredible. I am not positive, but I would say that they were fresh ground meat, and the burgers were formed when we placed our order. The taste was fresh, fresh, fresh!

The prices were very reasonable and the service was excellent. We will be returning the next time we are in the area!

Not great experience! First we sat there a while which is fine it was busy. Finally got greeted, she came back later with a list of long islands with no prices, no sizes, no other food menu nothing. Then ID checked us all, she got to my partners ID and shouted “Oop you’re not 21” did not appreciate since everyone’s heads turned and the waitress made a big deal when she was in fact 21. Whatever we just wanted some drinks so we each tried a different Long Island. For some reason all 3 were 34oz mugs. Each one was horrible, we had a few sips and asked for the check and left. Terrible experience! Arrived with a reasonably sized group of 5 people. Was told by a host that the wait for a table was 15 minutes. Our group waited for 20 minutes before asking for an estimate, when we were then told it was going to be around 45 minutes by a different host. How could the two hosts be so unorganized and not be bothered to communicate literally at all? As if this wasn’t bad enough, I walked downstairs to find a table for 6 sitting completely empty, cleaned, and ready to go. Not to mention, we were first on the waiting list so this table definitely wasn’t for any other group. As a server myself, I can honestly say our waitress was rude, and she never introduced herself or even asked how we were doing at all. Instead, she rudely introduced herself by instantly barking at us asking if we had paid for our drinks that we brought down to our table from the bar upstairs. What a first impression! She then took our order and we proceeded to wait for an hour and 30 minutes with no food in sight. After asking about it multiple times, we finally got an answer from our server that the kitchen staff lost our order, but were going to rush to get it done. Long story short… we never got our food even after waiting another 30 minutes. We notified the manager, and left without ever receiving any food as after 2 hours we had to get home. Staff was overall clueless, unorganized, and rude. However, Thomas, the manager I spoke to, was actually very kind, apologetic, and offered to allow us to dine for free.

As a bartender for over 10 years myself, i have never encountered the absolutely worse service in my life until last night at your establishment. The bar wasn’t packed nor the booths first thing . i sat at the bar, both bartenders walked past me multiple times, one wiping counters and the other filling fruit trays. Mind you it was others at the bar needing something as well and was only 11pm. 10 minutes go by, and they are just walking around. So i asked , are you closing, one looked at me all confused, so i said , so you don’t see me? Finally they took my order, jameson green tea, watermelon long island, mozzarella sticks and 2 shots of jack fire. took 30 minutes to receive my green tea that was not made correctly at all, almost an hour for my NOT COOKED ALL THE WAY, mozzarella sticks. Bartenders don’t smile, and they take their time. Sorry not sorry, they do not need to be in the customer service business at all let alone be bartenders. Just horrible. You’re losing a lot of money atp, which caused them not to get a tip from me, and i’m a very very good tipper. But their customer service SUCKED… (you need good bartenders lmk)

My siblings and I came as a group of 4. We were told that the wait would be 30 mins and to give a number to receive a phone call. After 45 mins, no phone call so I called. After no answer we proceeded to walk back in and ask how long for the wait. She said “I called you”, I didn’t receive a call so we proceeded to wait another 10 minutes. Once we were seated the server came 20 minutes later. She took our order, and then waited 50 minutes for our food. Once it came out the whole order was wrong , we tried telling our waitress what the issue was but she kept walking off while we were still telling her the problem with our INCORRECT food. My sister ordered a REGULAR cheese burger with condiments on the side, the burger came out with bacon on it my sister does not eat pork of any kind because of religious practices!! She makes a new burger and it was wrong again, it was still pink. She took at least 30-45 minutes to check on us each time she dropped something off. Long story short I don’t recommend due to poor service and miscommunication between waiters and customers.

Great place to meet friends for a beer. I gave 3 stars instead of 1 because the Service was awesome, unfortunately the food that we all ordered was mediocre at best to just poor. Wow, and I mean wow. Talk about a blast from the past? It put me in the mood for the long gone Tic Toc club, Foxylady, Mr T's, Holidays, all places in Kenosha that the young folks don't remember. Or the Tropical in Racine or Brothers in Racine or ReRuns in Racine or Mr Kool in Racine! Although, Ron's is definitely better food wise. Working security at most of these places, gave me a lot of scars and quite a bit of trauma, lol! Also, plenty of stuff that I definitely won't ever talk about! But, Ashley over at Ron's is quite the bartender. So, if you want to see class in a place that customers sometimes lack, go see Ashley! It's a Blast!!! Oh, and by the way, I don't know how they keep the bathrooms so spotless with all the drinking going on lol, but that's a testament to the dedication of those employees working there. Clean bathrooms equally clean kitchen! Besides the food, ambiance is a really big deal. Hole in the wall? Divey? Love it! Some of the other reviews were ridiculous, I don't believe in bashing for petty stuff. "Ron's" It's a destination 🙈🙉🙊😁

Nervous at first new owners changing the menu the food was good things were great but I dont mind the mozzarella sticks but I miss the old ones been coming to rons since I was 11 for the extreme burger got it 4 times in my life dunno if they do it anymore but its a great place it is also a bar so be aware parents but its an amazing bar I grew up in great people great food

Came in for a laye night bite. Could tell the staff was tired but that didn't stop them from providing a great experience! The crunchy turkey swiss sandwich I had was excellent. I hope I can make it back for another tasty treat!
