I was very disappointed with how our visit ended. After NOT finishing our meal, the staff asked us to leave because another party was waiting for our table. We had only just finished eating appetizers and were still enjoying our conversation and entries. It felt rushed and inconsiderate, especially since we had made a reservation and paid full price. Good food, but very poor customer service. We had particular of 12 and will never go back there. Horrible service, felt uncomfortable and just WOW

went here for my birthday and it was soooo nice! make sure you get a reservation if you want a table. there is walk in seating at the sushi bar which is still comfortable and has privacy so still an option. the short rib was amazing and the spicy lobster roll as well! beautiful date night spot or even girls night out!

Had a delicious dinner here in August.
Loved our server Adalia, she went above & beyond! She was professional & fun! She knew everything about the menu. I have food allergies & Adalia made sure I was good. Food & drinks were exceptional, loved the ambiance-appreciated the low lighting! Def try the cocktail ONE NIGHT IN BANGKOK! Pad Thai was delicious!

The food and drinks were great. We ordered the short rib, ocean fried rice, and one night in Bangkok. The rib was in curry with rice, delicious. The ocean fried rice was a blend of seafood that really hit home. The drinks had a really fun presentation.

Our experience at Room Service was incredible. We were lucky enough to get a last minute reservation and it did not disappoint. The service was impeccable. They cleared every plate immediately which was great because the tables are small. The restaurant is small so be prepared to get cozy with other patrons nearby, but there is a variety of bar seating, booths and tables. The drunken noodles were so flavorful and I would definitely get the wagyu sliders again. They were kind enough to bring a dessert on the house for my birthday which was a lovely touch. If you can get a reservation, don't skip out on this one!

After months of trying to get a reservation at Room Service in Milwaukee, we finally secured one, be prepared to book at least a month in advance. And let me tell you, it was absolutely worth the wait.
From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with the most amazing aroma and a beautifully designed, cozy, and welcoming atmosphere. The staff is incredibly attentive, dishes are cleared the moment you're done, and they’re always ready to assist without hovering.
The presentation of both food and drinks is truly top-notch. We had drinks and appetizers, and everything impressed.
We ordered the Wagyu A5 Rockfire, which you cook yourself on a hot stone after oiling the stone with a piece of beef fat they provide. Oh. My. God. Every bite melted in our mouths, so much so that we ordered a second round. It was one of the most memorable dishes we've ever had.
We also tried the Nobu Spicy Salmon Crispy, which was very good, tasted like a high-quality sushi roll. While it didn’t blow us away like the Wagyu, it was still enjoyable.
One of the most memorable drinks we had was the One Night in Bangkok, and the presentation was out of this world. It’s poured and infused tableside with an aromatic cloud of lemongrass, and it’s as delicious as it is dramatic.
As a sweet surprise, since we were celebrating our anniversary, they gifted us a Yuzu cheesecake on the house, a thoughtful and delicious gesture.
Yes, this place is pricey, but between the exceptional service, the unforgettable food, and the meticulous presentation, Room Service is doing everything right. Highly recommended for special occasions or if you simply want to treat yourself to an extraordinary night out.

I experience Room Service with my daughter and wife last night, we had reservations, but we still had to wait 30 minutes on are arrival. I let it be known that I’m celebrating my daughter‘s birthday when I booked resy. The host forgot to tell the server & apologized to me and stated next time lol, so I had to inform are server is my daughter‘s birthday and to bring out a cake with a candle.
Furthermore, we felt rush after being seated late. Bottom line the food can be great but if the service doesn’t match it’s a total letdown.
It’s not giving 5 star more like takeout!

My partner and I recently had dinner here, and it was one of those meals where everything just felt well thought out—visually impressive, relaxing, and seriously delicious.
The space is absolutely stunning—dim lighting, dramatic colors, high ceilings, and stylish décor that hits a perfect balance between elegant and relaxed. It’s upscale, but not at all pretentious.
The Thai Crab Curry (medium spicy) plate was the star of the night for me. It was rich, flavorful, and had just the right amount of heat.
Our total for the evening, including cocktails and shared plates, came to around $180. It’s not cheap, but for the quality of the food, drinks, and setting, it felt like a great value for a night out. This is definitely a place to linger and enjoy, not just eat and dash.

Everything we ordered was excellent and presentation was fun. The Phuket #3 signature cocktail had a unique and tasty flavor, earthy and sweet. The Royal Flower Dumplings (pictured) were delicious and beautiful, definitely worth a try. The pork bao buns and panang curry were superb as well. High quality food, service, and ambiance. Will be returning to try more items

Everything about this place is perfect. From the decor, the host, even the person that comes to bring you water… incredibly polite, and professional.
And the food … I don’t think I’ll be having Thai food or sushi anywhere else from now on. Their menu is perfectly selective and has the best of the best. I believe it’s a Thai Asian fusion theme. Literally all of my favorite things are on the menu. 😍 the food was so fresh and flavors perfectly put together. We already can’t wait to go back.

the food here is exceptional. highly recommend the chashu bao buns and the harajuku roll. everything was amazing from the taste to the presentation. only *slight* complaint is the general seating is VERY close together. you can barely squeeze by in between tables and you’re practically breathing on your neighbor. luckily, we sat at the sushi bar, which provided more privacy.

Second time returning and I love this place. The dumplings have a delicious rich peanut sauce, the tuna is fresh. The short rib is the way to go, it is tender with a mild spicy curry which is the main reason for my return. Drinks are also great

Classic example of you get what you pay for.
Elevated service, elevated dishes and presentation for an elevated price. 6/5 stars for the atmosphere and presentation. The food was really good. The Tom Yum soup was delicious and an appropriate level of spice. Nothing was burn your tongue off. Most people who can handle a medium amount of spice would be happy.

Tried this place for the first time on a Friday night and it is delicious. Stunning Japanese themed atmosphere with a sushi bar that presents the rolls beautifully. Cocktails, fries, and pork sliders were great. My only suggestion is there are barely any reservations online and there was definitely a lot of open seats when I got there.

I had Room Service on my list to visit for a while, and finally was able to find a reservation that worked for us. We unfortunately were underwhelmed.
Atmosphere: The restaurant itself has a nice appearance and comfortable seating, however both my husband and I immediately noticed a stale/musty/dirty sock type smell throughout. I'm not sure what it was but it did not change all night. Towards the end of the meal, one or two tables had whatever the Wagyu dish is that you cook over heat and the smoky burnt smell was just too much.
Service: Food came out timely. Waitress was ok but when we made comments about some of the dishes being not good, she didn't seem to care. (see more below)
Food: Some dishes were ok, most were not good.
-I ordered the Thai iced tea, crab rangoon, phuket jor pu, oasis, and the ocean fried rice. The oasis lacked any flavor. The phuket jor pu was just "meh" as was the ocean fried rice... I ate half of each just because I was hungry. I liked the Thai iced tea, and the crab rangoon was good, but I think I'm giving it more credit than it deserves because it was the only thing I liked.
-My husband ordered the chashu steam buns, the kobe sliders, and the short ribs. He said the steam buns were good, but the sauce on the sliders was way too spicy, and the short ribs were too spicy as well. He has a high tolerance for spice so this was surprising. We mentioned this to the waitress and were surprised she didn't offer something in replacement, suggestion, or discount. He only ate a couple of bites of the sliders and short ribs. The sheer amount of food we couldn't eat should have triggered something.
-I had the mango sticky rice for dessert. My husband lost faith in the food by this point and passed on having anything. The purple rice was a weird texture... it wasn't just sticky, it was hard... probably because they put coconut ice cream on top. The coconut ice cream barely tasted like coconut.
Overall for $200 before tip, we were very disappointed and would not return. Confused and a bit bamboozled by the high ratings and demand for reservations. In the end we had a snack across the street at Mochinut.

Every single bite was amazing! First time here. Will definitely be back. Atmosphere was great, not too crowded but definitely every table was almost occupied at 0830pm so reservations needed and a head of time, like weeks in advance.
Every bite of food was consistent, well seasoned and there was different textures to the food but nothing too over powering
There are more items I want to try for next time but highly recommend this place

We have been three times now and it’s truly an awesome experience! Lily is just INCREDIBLE!!! Her finesse and knowledge and just elevated service is showstopping!
Desserts are just ok - another female service with black head band and wearing a hoodie ( yes it was room service hoodie ) she turned so fast as we were leaving and knocked into us. Her appearance just seems a little lazy and sloppy looking as she is the only one wearing a hoodie in the dining room. Other than that just perfect

Delicious. I recommend the specialty cocktails. From JFK to Tokyo - reminded me almost of a sangria with whiskey. And One Night in Bangkok is a lot of fun with the dry ice! I had the Kinnickinnic Crisp Shell. Love the pear and microgreens on top of Asian inspired taco meat in a deep fried but light shell. I also got the gyoza and boa buns. So good! UPDATE: I’m back and I brought my mom. We had cocktails and appetizers, including the royal flower dumplings, nobu spicy salmon crispy, pork belly bao buns. For the entrées we had A5 Wagyu street food, gigantic river shrimp pad Thai, slow cooked short rib, lump crab curry with vermicelli noodle. When I say this is the best and hardest hitting restaurant in Milwaukee, I do not say that lightly. Fantastic and worth the two month waitlist

I’ve had great experiences the few times I’ve been. For this type of dining experience in Milwaukee, I don’t think the prices are very reasonable. Honestly not much more here than anywhere else you go these days. Reservations can be tricky but the times I’ve gone the bar has been empty so don’t forget about that first come first serve option!

I drove 6 ½ hours to meet cousins for dinner here. We got a 8:30pm reservation on a Sunday night, and it never occurred to us that this would be an issue, especially because the website specifically states, “We're currently open for dinner, 7 days a week from 4:30 pm to 10.30 pm.” The place was packed when we arrived. Food was very good, as we expected, and we dropped a huge chunk of $, also as expected. Unfortunately, at about 9:30pm, we were informed that the kitchen was closing and that we should decide if we wanted anything more (we were in the middle of dinner). By 10pm, it was as if everything stopped. Music volume and lighting changed, main floor being cleaned. The whole staff was standing there while we sheepishly decided to exit around 10:15. We almost tripped over the mop bucket near our table, and had to squeeze our way to the exit. No one thanked us or said good-bye.
The place looks classy. The food was great. The server himself was mostly attentive.
But the approach to pushing customers out was ridiculous. If you allow a reservation at 8:30pm and you say your restaurant closes at 10:30pm, and if you want your customers to spend hundreds of dollars on dinner, at least let them stay for 2 hours.

It’s good to see Milwaukee is starting to get nice restaurants like Room Service. They deserve a 5 star. Excellent drinks, food and atmosphere. Two things that we didn’t love that I want to share for the restaurant: You have to dump the digital menus. This was a Covid thing that restaurants are now trying to save a few bucks on. Nice restaurants have real menus. And second, the tuna tartar flavor was excellent, but it was so blended up almost like a puree. For a price point of $28 on a tuna tartar you expect larger cubes of tuna to enjoy. It’s a delicate fish and deserves better preparation. Keep up the good work though! This restaurant is definitely strong enough to compete in larger markers outside of Milwaukee so I am guessing they will do very well here.

Highly anticipated, I’m surprised my wife and I waited this long to try it but the reservations are almost always booked so it makes sense! We live in Bayview, so we have a huge sense of pride when we have restaurants like this in our backyard to rave to our friends and family. The food is some of the highest quality I’ve had. PHENOMENAL. The only reason I’m not leaving 5 stars is it felt like pulling teeth trying to communicate to the host and waitstaff. We arrived at 8:15 for an 8:45 reservation, and I kindly asked the host if we could have a drink at the bar while we wait or be seated early. They appeared overwhelmed, not only by my question but some other task they appeared to be preoccupied with. I received a “one moment please” the host leaves to address something, and when they return to the host stand, they did not address me at all or respond to my inquiry. It’s the weirdest restaurant experience greeting I’ve had to date. I wait patiently about 90 seconds, once it was apparent the host was not going to make eye contact with me, I lean back into the host stand and ask, “would you like me to leave and come back at my reservation time?” I received a soft spoken “sounds good” to my response….um what? To clarify, I am not upset AT ALL they will not give me a drink or seat me early. I was simply looking for some instruction from someone who is responsible managing the dining room experience. Our waiter wasn’t much better, we were greeted with “would you like something to drink”? Well I’ve been drooling at the instagram photos of these smoky and elaborate drinks, could you care to explain them to me? It remained painful to ask for recommendations or some guidance on the menu. A place like Room Service is designed to create an experience, without a guide you will absolutely leave confused and not wanting to come back. There’s so much opportunity here, they just need to tighten up their communication and start raving about everything good they have by posing recommendations based on the client’s tastes. We had Tuna premium starter, the Waygu premium starter, the Short Rib entree, and I also had a sushi roll. We loved everything.

We had a birthday dinner last night at Room Service. Our experience was very nice and there’s some room for improvement.
The food was absolutely amazing! The cocktails were very tasty and are made with some very unique ingredients.
Our server was very friendly and engaging but was wearing a light jacket which isn’t a bad thing, but I feel if a place is going to be high end, this wouldn’t be something that you’d see.
The atmosphere was definitely different. Again back to the high end experience, I would expect a place of this caliber to have cloth napkins instead of fluffy paper napkins. I am also shocked places are still doing digital menus. Please just get a laminated menu. I don’t want to be on my phone at dinner. The music didn’t seem to make sense as it was almost a Lofi EDM vibe. We also felt that we were rushed through our experience at Room Service. We were also sat in the back next to the bathrooms and serving area so felt we had a lot of hustle and bustle that took away from a romantic experience.
Overall I give 3/5 stars and think the food alone is worth the one-time visit!

I wanted to love it so much…
This place was hyped up in every foodie social media group, the Journal Sentinel, etc. It was clearly the place to be! The atmosphere and menu looked impressive. I knew this is where I wanted to have my 30th birthday (May 10th). I reached out on FEBRUARY 6TH to figure out exactly what I needed to do to secure a reservation. I was advised: “We currently accept reservations up to 30 days in advance and due to high demand, especially on weekends, we're unable to accommodate parties larger than 10 in our main dining area.” No problem…I set a reminder for April 10th and reached out then to secure my reservation.
This is where the most DIABOLICAL reservation experience ensues. I received the following: “Due to high demands we have limited availability for larger parties. We can currently only accommodate larger groups of up to 8 guests in the main dining area.” In my book, too bad…I already had a party of 9 commit to this. They made the exception (as they should). Then I am told: “Of course, however, the spot for the prime time between 5:00 - 8:30 PM has been taken for larger parties. We currently only have a few spots open at 4:45 and 8:45 PM would these work for you? Otherwise the room patio still has availability around 6-7PM.” HOW!? I reached out on the first possible day (30 days in advance) to make a reservation. Every time should be available.
Oh it gets better: “We apologize for the inconvenience. Weekend nights tend to fill up very quickly, and those prime spots between 5:00 - 8:00 PM for the main dining area tend to fill up as soon as reservations open. Our roof patio is covered and has heated lamps. For your reference, we've attached photos of the Roof Patio. We would be happy to help you secure a reservation on the roof patio for you. Please let us know if you are interested.” INSANE! I demanded an explanation, and after trying to skirt around the issue a bit, this is what I was told: “Please accept our apologies for any confusion. As we mentioned, we typically take reservations up to 30 days in advance. However, we have been receiving many requests for larger parties further out than 30 days, particularly for the popular 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM timeframe, similar to your request. And due to this surge in demand and our restaurant's capacity, we have limited availability for larger parties. We currently only have three specific slots designated for larger groups: one between 4:30 PM and 6:00 PM, one between 6:00 PM and 8:00 PM, and one between 8:00 PM and 9:00 PM. Unfortunately, the prime-time slot within the 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM window has already been taken.”
So, what they are saying is that they started making exceptions to book reservations more than 30 days in advance due to high demand. I REACHED OUT IN FEBRUARY!!! HELLO! If exceptions were being made, why was I not called to be offered one!? HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! This is what I responded: “Knowing that there are a lot of reservation requests, I did my due diligence by reaching out in February, and I played by the rules by not requesting my reservation be secured until 30 days out. I set myself a reminder to reach out on 4/10. It's very unfortunate that others received an exception to make a reservation greater than 30 days away, but I didn't despite making my intentions known far in advance. I also want to provide feedback that I have called the phone number listed on the website a multitude of times to have a more productive conversation in February and on 4/10, but it just rings and then disconnects. There is no voicemail message/option either.“ This is such a wild way to run a business that strives to be a top-tier restaurant in the area.
Will I return? I don’t even know. Is it worth the hype? Meh. I spent more time trying to secure a reservation in a whirlwind of stupidity than I did actually dining at the restaurant. The dining experience was great…read about it in all the other reviews. I wanted to love it so much, but I’m not there at all.

Esthetically the restaurant is beautiful. But beyond that it is very overpriced and the service is mid. The food is supremely average for the price point. The only truly above average food item that was really good was the wagyu. Kobe beef sliders were pretty good too. Miso soup, very average, probably premade. House salad was bland. Papaya salad was more like spicy kimchi salad. Tuna tartare honestly was bad. Fatty tuna sampler was great but all the credit for that belongs to the poor tuna that gave its life. Beef short rib was 100 percent not cooked for 10 hours as the menu claims. Judging by the texture it was probably cooked for like 2. Needed a knife and fork to get through it, which defeats the point of slow cooking it. Seafood fried rice was meh. I think the rave reviews come from people who’ve never experienced other big city food scenes. The biggest drag honestly is this restaurant is so hyped up, you have to wait for weeks to get in, and it definitely doesn’t live up to the expectations.

Wow, What a feast for the senses — Room Service Milwaukee isn’t just a restaurant, it’s a full-on experience of beauty, balance, and flavor.
Every dish was a masterpiece. The presentation alone took my breath away — served in bamboo baskets with edible flowers and elegant plating. It felt like fine art met traditional Thai cuisine.
We tried several dishes, and each one was a hit:
• The crispy chicken was perfectly seasoned and cooked to golden perfection.
• The taro-wrapped shrimp balls were light, savory, and so unique.
• The blue flower dumplings (Chor Muang) — with real gold leaf! — were delicate and deeply flavorful.
• The fresh herb salad served in its own mini basket was a gorgeous, refreshing surprise.
• And of course, the mango sticky rice dessert, silky, tropical, and beautifully plated — was the perfect sweet ending.
The staff was incredibly kind and attentive, the ambiance was intimate but vibrant, and the whole experience made me feel cared for in every detail.
If you’re in Milwaukee and want to be transported — visually, sensorially, and emotionally — this is your place. I can’t wait to go back.

Room Service has been on my list for a while now. Since moving here, it has been a place where multiple people have told me I need to try. I finally got the chance, too, and we ordered so much and ate it family-style so we could all try something. We mainly did shared plates and ordered a few doubles since they were so good. Starting strong, we got the crab Rangoons. Delicious. It had a taste on the sweet side, but it melted in your mouth. We ordered more. We also got the shishito peppers, which I didn’t try, but everyone loved.
The crispy veggie Asian rolls were yummy, too. We wanted to try something none of us had before, so we got the Phuket Jor Pu. As a seafood lover, I liked these a lot. Others didn’t since they didn’t care for shrimp or crab. I tried the spicy salmon crispy rice for the first time. I thought I didn’t like raw seafood, but these were delicious. One bite had an array of flavors that blended well together. We also tried the calamari and the Kinnickinnic crispy shell, which were both good. The Chashu bao buns were also good. The last small plate we got was the Kai Tod Hat Yai, which was terrific. The chicken was juicy and tender and melted in your mouth.
We got the drunken noodles with chicken and the Room Service Pad Thai for phenomenal entrees. I was eyeing the pad Thai, one of my favorite Thai dishes. This one was amazing, and I loved the giant layer of egg on top. Feeds my obsession with extra egg in noodle dishes. Overall, this was an experience. Since everyone was so good, I recommend setting family style here so you can try something of everything. The only downside of the experience was the heat. It was so toasty inside, and we were all sweating the whole meal. It wasn’t too cold outside, but the heat was too hot.

Absolutely amazing Asian fine dining restaurant! The intricacies of the specialty drinks and food is beautiful and delicious. I highly recommend the lychee cocktail. Also, the flower dumplings are a must-have. Everyone in our group enjoyed each entree. It was fun to share a sushi roll for the table as well. Would highly recommend! It is pricey, but I would say it is worth it here more because the food is art, compared to any plain steakhouse. My only complaint is that I wish the water for the table had ice, or at least was chilled. Finally, make sure to make a reservation as early in advance as possible as this place books up fast!

Atmosphere is very chill and intimate. However it's quite packed in the restaurant. No room to check in with out tripping over a water feature, tables are quite tight together.
Food wasn't bad, but it was far from excellent. The dumplings were more of a consistency of a nugget, the signature nobu had a unfortunately chewy rice base. The rolls were good, but overly added to. The Kobe sliders had good flavor but were overcooked.
Overall not a bad place and priced correctly, but not worth the hype unfortunately.

Every dish we had was delicious, every staff we encountered - host, server, busser, deliverer - was kind and knowledgeable and professional. The atmosphere is so lovely. The uniqueness of the food is unparalleled in Milwaukee. And as a Gluten-Free Vegetarian, I have never, save for a restaurant in New York City and Minneapolis - had a menu so diverse and thoughtful to choose from. The cost is worth the food and experience.

Everything here is great! Food, service, presentation of the dishes, environment… hats off! It was difficult to book (I did it 3 weeks in advance and got a 9:45pm table for dinner), but now it makes sense! Cocktails are very good, and the food is authentic 100%. If we lived in the city we would be regulars, but it is worth the trip from Chicago even if it is only to come eat here!

Maybe it’s overhyped…maybe my expectations we’re too high…maybe it was the date.
This isn’t everything it’s made out to be. If you want to pay these prices and expect a great experience, then just go across the street to Paloma.
The best thing was the purple dumplings. Check those out for a unique dish.

First time here. There has been a lot of buzz about this place, and it turns out that it is well deserved. Everything about the evening was excellent. The hardest part about the experience was getting the reservation. I had tried several times, and ended up getting something on a Monday night.
Got here around 6:00 and got seated right away. The dining area has seating for groups of 2-4, and couple of bar areas for eating or drinking. We got seated towards the rear, buy the sushi bar. The place was about half full. There are windows on the front and southside, so we had some good natural light. The noise level was decent and easy to have a conversation.
Our server did a nice job of getting us settled in, waters and our drink order, a Tingha Beer and a "JFK to TKY" Cocktail The service throughout the entire evening was excellent. It seemed like everyone pitched in to make that work. Lots of attention to empty plates, napkins, etc. (thanks Joey and crew!).
The menu is online (or hard copies are available). It was hard to order, so many things sounded good, and our server had some great recommendations. Every time something would come out of the kitchen, it looked amazing and we would be interested in that. We ended up getting the Pork Belly Bao Buns, Room Servicer Pad Thai, Kinnickinnic Crispy Shell, and Phuket Jor Pu. The service can be very quick (too quick sometimes), so we told our server to pace our orders, so we didn't feel rushed.
Everything was wonderful. Plenty of interesting/inventive items, great flavors, perfect temperatures, and the portions were generous. It was hard to pick a favorite. The Pad Thai was especially good, and the two large/whole prawns on top were an extra treat (and had an exotic look). The Bao Buns were good (but I would have liked more fat, and less lean meat). The Kinnickinnic Crisp Shell (think Taco) were light, crispy and great flavors.
The evening was so very good. They have really gone out their way to make everything unique and special. All the little touches including the special wet napkin, the exotic drinks, to the table lighting make this a very memorable experience. We are already talking about coming back again - soon :)

Had dinner here for my birthday. This place definitely feels like a treat for a special occasion. The ambience was lovely and curated, like the menu. They serve a fusion of Thai and Japanese dishes as both small plates and larger entrees.
We did have to wait for a few minutes after our reservation time to be seated, but that may not be the fault of the host. I could see why guests linger and don’t necessarily want to leave. Our server and the bartender were polite and attentive, but not intrusive.
Cocktails were right on par with the rest of the food, which was a pleasant surprise. Our appetizers and main dishes were just as delicious as all the other reviews state. We can’t wait to return to Room Service when we have another date night!

I loved everything about this place. The atmosphere, the service was great and the food was phenomenal. My husband found this place and made reservations for our anniversary and my moms birthday. It is a little pricey so it won't be a spot we go to alot but for special occasions most definitely. So if you looking for a nice restaurant to celebrate a anniversary or a promotion or something important I recommend this place. If you're allergic to peanuts probably not the best place. They use alot of peanuts and peanut oil.

The hype is simply not worth it. We are hoping we just happened to be unlucky with our experience but we truly don’t think so. We first have 4 different instances when the restaurant messed up our reservation before we even got there. They did not send us a confirmation when we called for our reservation and they said they would send one. Then we called back again to realize we didn’t get the confirmation because it was never booked. This was the second time that we called to book a reservation and they did not book us despite saying they did in addition to sending a confirmation. We should have taken that as a sign. They seat us at a small table that is literally a foot away from an adjacent table on either side. The waitress then walks in between the two tables to speak to the other customers on either side of us leaving her rear end 4 inches from our faces. We then were served tap water and white wine. We are big ice water drinkers and hate restaurants that do not give you ice in your water. We would hope that these restaurants would at least refrigerate the water or just simply serve you cold water but ours was room temperature. The wine was colder than the water. The food almost looked like more time was spent on presenting it rather than cooking it as it looked better than it tasted. The “veggie” dumplings taste like they were stuffed with crunchy peanut butter with no true vegetables in site besides the pile of lettuce they give you on the side. We could hear the conversations on either side of us, ruining the intimacy of a nice dinner. We felt like we could not talk without everyone around us hearing. We turned off our lamp because it was bright with how close the tables are together and with each table having a lamp. Three different employees come over to turn it back on or replace it which was annoying but they were just doing their job. Employees would come over and try to take our plates before we were done, making us feel rushed almost. The food did not compensate for the experience as it was just okay. We are very disappointed as we were excited to try this place and have a new restaurant on our list to go to but this will not be making the list ever. Unfortunately a 1 star rating is being generous. This is a memory that my boyfriend and I will look back on and laugh at how bad it was.

Just wow. Snagged a short-notice reservation (thanks Madison) and had a great experience. Reservation was for 4 but we had an emergency so only 3 came. The maitre d' was so professional and quickly reset the table for 3 before showing us to the dining room. THAT is class. wait staff was efficient, knowledgable and friendly. Food was exceptional. Classic Pad Thai with tofu and Pad Kee Mao with beef were spot on in freshness and heat. I had the Somtam-Kaitod Isaan style and it was amazing. It is spicy in a very good way and the flavors pop. No room for dessert so we shall have to return. Congrats Milwaukee, you've got a real winner in Room Service!

I dined here for a special occasion and overall had a decent experience. We started with the bao bun small plates and edamame. The bao buns were fantastic – perfectly made with every part of them thoughtfully crafted. The edamame, however, was a bit of a letdown. I ordered it with spice, but it came out dry and the spice was lacking in flavor. It reminded me of Tajín – more of a powder with a kick than a balanced spice.
For dinner, we tried the House Pad Thai and the Curry. Both were good, with strong presentation and flavors. The drinks were well crafted and visually pleasing.
The real highlight of the experience, though, was the ambiance. The space is stunning, with beautiful building details and accents that really set the tone.
That being said, while the food was enjoyable, it wasn’t anything groundbreaking. The flavors, though well-executed, aren’t particularly unique, and you could easily find similar dishes at a Thai restaurant for a fraction of the price. If you’re looking for a fancy, curated Asian gastro experience, this place is a solid choice. But if you’re after the best Asian food in Milwaukee, there are more affordable and flavorful options around town.

Loved the dim lighting and the whole interior design. The place is small and intimate. It sets the mood for a nice romantic date. My wait was not long, unless you're icked by waiting 5 to 10 minutes with a reservation. All the staff are very kind and courteous. The host acknowledged and greeted my husband and I right away. Our waiter made sure to check in on us just enough and was attentive to our needs throughout our dinner.
I ordered the chicken drunken noodles and I believe my husband ordered the wagyu pad kra pao. They are very delicious and enjoyable. My criticisms are that both dishes were slightly too salty for my palate. The drunken noodles also seemed exploitative of a price for using packaged udon, it seems. But, my husband enjoyed them both without complaints. The most delicious and mouth watering dish that was the star of the night for me was the pink lady roll. It was well-rolled with proportionate filling and not overly compensated in size with rice. Expect a full blend of flavors in your mouth with a beautiful soft texture from the salmon and perfectly cooked rice, while getting a release with the crunch of the cucumbers and a hit of umami with the eel sauce. Can't fault that sushi roll at all.
We also had the spicy salmon tartare and calamari appetizers. Both were excellent, although portion size for the spicy salmon tartare is definitely on the skimpy side. The taste was full of depth though, and well balanced.
In a general sense, this place was a great explore. Although, I find it hard to desire a return just for the food alone with the thought of the prices weighing quite heavily on the expensive side for just satisfying-enough dishes that are served with a little more eye-pleasing flare. Still a great experience and would recommend for anyone curious to check this place out.

I was very excited to check this place out, the posts of the pictures looked mouthwatering from the start
We waited an hour for a table which is never unusual in downtown Milwaukee, the atmosphere was very low lit & comfortable to have a nice discussion in a romantic setting.
Our drinks were pretty decent, the presentation was great also..
When it comes to the food 3 out of the 4 dishes we absolutely enjoyed, we ordered the “purple” dumpling dish (I do not know the technical menu item) which I personally was very interested in because the pictures looked outstanding, but to be frank it was very disappointing. Not only did it come in 4 small (size of a quarter) dumplings but we actually got accused of getting them to our table already.
After asking the server when we’d receive them he sent over two very invasive people who stood over our table, yes I mean over our table to where I had to move back in order to keep some space in between & passively again said “you had this already” which she was actually referring to the curry like dish we ordered prior..
It felt very judgmental of our character and just off putting to say the least
14$ for a dish of 4 quarter size purple dumplings that actually came out blue.. a fuss over that?
The server didn’t seem to be knowledgeable of the dishes. Told us there was actually tofu in a dish that had crab.. I hope vegan and vegetarian guests have more knowledgeable service to avoid troubles in ongoing future.
Update, came this evening and everything was MUCH better. Lily was awesome

Rooms Service lives up to its name with excellent service and a welcoming atmosphere. The location is perfect for an intimate dinner.
The food selection is numerous and has a diverse range of options.
I appreciated what they are trying with pushing the Southeast Asian flavors. This wouldn't be a good place if you wanted the more toned and traditional flavors. But if you want to expand your palate and try some unique pairings and flavors, it's really worth it. The experience itself is worth it as well. The presentation is excellent. The wait staff were also very nice.
I definitely will return bc I did not get to try all the foods I wanted and was already full.

I visited Room Service on February 7th at 9:30 PM for my birthday dinner with my boyfriend, and unfortunately, our experience was disappointing due to poor service.
From the moment we arrived, things felt a bit off. As we were being seated, the host made a point to tell us how hard it is to get a reservation and advised us to book in advance next time. While this might have been meant as helpful information, it came across as unnecessary and a bit unwelcoming—especially since we had clearly managed to get a reservation that night.
Our server, Sophia S, never introduced herself—we only learned her name from the bill. She initially asked if we had been there before and if we were celebrating anything. When I mentioned it was our first time and that we were celebrating my birthday, she showed no acknowledgment or enthusiasm.
She didn’t go over the menu with us, and when I asked questions, she seemed unsure of the answers. After placing our order, we waited a long time for our food, but she never returned to update us on any delays or check in. When our food finally arrived—brought out by a runner—we noticed that a Sprite was missing. We didn’t mention it, but we were still waiting on our sushi. I had to call out to her to ask about it, and she simply gave me a blank stare, pointed behind her, and said, “They are making it right now.”
She never checked on us to see how our food was. However, she did return to let us know it was last call for food and drinks. I asked if we could still order dessert, and she assured us that wouldn’t be a problem. But when it came time to wrap up dinner, she never returned, so we had to ask for the bill ourselves. She also never followed up about dessert or asked if we needed anything else.
What made the experience even more frustrating was that the table directly behind us was also celebrating a birthday, and we saw how the restaurant—and Sophia herself—went out of their way to make their celebration special. Seeing the level of attention and service they received compared to us was extremely upsetting. I don’t believe it was intentional, but it definitely felt like we weren’t being treated the same way as other guests, which left a bad impression.
That being said, the crab rangoon and curry chicken we ordered were delicious, and I appreciated the unique touch of providing an expanded towel to wash your hands—a small but thoughtful detail. However, good food and small perks can’t make up for poor service, especially in a restaurant like this, where hospitality should be a priority. Unfortunately, that was where they fell short.
Overall, while the food had its highlights, the lack of attentiveness, poor communication, and inconsistent service made this an underwhelming and disappointing experience, especially for a birthday dinner. The restaurant has potential, but the service needs serious improvement.

We were lucky enough to sneak into this place without a reservation- coming from out of town and didn’t know what time we would be able to get there. The food was ah-maxing, we had the pink lady sushi roll and the Pad Thai was the best I have ever had. Bonus points for the huge variety of vegetarian/vegan differences.
Points off for 2 things: our waitress was very attentive however at the start seemed a bit cold, maybe because we came in later (just over an hour before close) to a full and busy restaurant which is fair. We sat at the sushi table with gorgeous seating with backs, but with people walking right behind me I was constantly getting lightly bumped. It’s close quarters with those chairs, the lady I sat next to and her partner gave me dirty looks the entire time because we took up her extra elbow room.

Told them I had a shellfish allergy when making the reservation and the staff were extremely on top of that and accommodating. As soon as you walk in you can appreciate the intimacy of the low lighting and while full, it was not noisy. The cocktails were interesting and the beer is good. We shared several small plates- I enjoyed the Osaka goyza dumplings but the Royal flower dumplings (chor muang) were my favorite. I got the beef drunken noodles medium spice with our waitress Carley's help with determining spicy level; it was spicy and delicious without being overwhelming and I like spice. The yuzu (lemon) cheesecake was fantastic and my friend enjoyed the flourless lava cake with vanilla ice cream. Carley took several of our group photos for us, both at the table and in front of the sign. Would 100% recommend and come again

The atmosphere and the blue buns were excellent! My wife's food was really good too.
However my pork curry was dry and did not have nearly enough rice. The sauce still tasted good, but for $34 it was underwhelming and not worth it.
The servers also stopped by the table far too frequently (I can pour my own water and prefer not to be disrupted) and were trying to hurry us out after only an hour even though our reservation was for 1 and 1/2 hours. She also took my drink away before I was completely done with it.
I know these complaints are nitpicky, but for a $150 bill these things aren't acceptable.

Service was great, ambience was magnificent. My drink was not good, Thai tea. The dumplings and crab rangoons were TINY as in miniature version, kinda comical.
The entree was not bad, but I ordered a shrimp noodle dish and all I got was a huge shrimp and nothing else. Like a HUGE shrimp, that thing looked like a lobster. The dessert was not bad but nothing out of this world. I think the place is overrated, not worth the months long wait as it's impossible to get reservations within a few days notice. Room Service is an absolute gem in Milwaukee! I stopped in recently for a casual evening and was blown away by the quality and vibe. It's very hard to get a reservation, so we walked in right when it opened and were able to be seated at the bar.
The craft cocktails were a standout--beautifully balanced and creative. I tried the One Night in Bangkok, which was a delightful mix of flavors and perfectly refreshing. The show with the smoke was beyond!
As for the food, the gyoza and crab Rangoon were incredible. The gyoza had a crispy, golden exterior and a savory, juicy filling that paired wonderfully with the dipping sauce. The crab Rangoon? Easily some of the best I've ever had--light, crispy, and filled with a creamy, flavorful crab filling that was nothing short of addictive.
The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, with a modern, chic aesthetic that made it the perfect spot to unwind. The service was attentive without being overbearing, and it's clear the staff takes pride in what they do.
Room Service is a must-visit for anyone in Milwaukee looking for excellent food, creative drinks, and a relaxed yet stylish vibe. I'll definitely be back!

Finally, Wisconsin has an elegant authentic Thai flavor with high-end service restaurants (can't comment on the Japanese side).
Foods are amazing plated. The service is superb as a high-end restaurant should be - personable, personalized, and timely.
Best Thai food I’ve ever had in WI.
- -
My personal thought:
- The flavor is on the sweet side.
- The spicy level is higher than the Midwest standard but not yet as in Thailand, which is reasonably understandable.
- Papaya is soggy.
- I think Papaya salad dressing has chilis sitting in it for a while, and it makes the spiciness come later after tasting. VS Authentic papaya salad - the spiciness comes first because chilis are added when making the salad.
- Khoa Soi curry can be less creamy & more garnished.
- Sashimi salad needs some chili or spice or jalapeno.

Great food and taste- expensive and small plates. Was good to share and was delicious but portions too small- too popular to change. Drinks were great! There is a Forced turn around in 1 hour 40 minutes on the weekend, which was enough time for us- but FYI.

I have had my reservations canceled twice now. Why give business to a restaurant that won’t uphold their reservations made months in advance. Go elsewhere.

Went for a girls night out. Our server Carly was great, everyone liked the food they ordered. The food was good, but I think the overall hype of the place put my expectations a bit higher. I’d go again, but I felt it isn’t going to be a go to place for me. The royal flower dumplings were delicious though. Also, with multiple dietary restrictions for people in the party, everyone had options.

our food was fantastic - everything we ordered was shared and was delicious. However, the manager (?) rushed our payment. We were never offered dessert and were told that 6 other people had been waiting for our table for 1.5 hrs. He was very rude.

wow, Wow, WOW... From amazing service to incredible food, killer ambience and decor and so much more. This was a flavor and senses experience to the max and to top it off, the famous Donald Driver was there having dinner next to us. Highly recommend this carefully curated menu by the amazing chef as the love she puts into her food is nothing short of spectacular. Can we provide 6 Stars?

An absolute all star experience all around. Friend was visiting from out of town and a colleague recommended this place. What a memorable meal. Restaurant is decorated nicely for the holidays and has a very modern and fun feel to it. The service was very good. And the food was absolutely excellent. The star of the show was the Kinnickinnic crispy shell tacos. One of the more memorable bites I've had in my 3 years living in Milwaukee area. The Royal flower dumplings were excellent. The drunken noodles with chicken was a fantastic dish! It had so much flavor and I enjoyed it thoroughly. My friend really enjoyed this short rib. We also had the crispy rice salmon which I thought was good but not great. We also had the char siu bao buns, which were very good. For dessert, I had the green tea creme brulee and I thought it was absolutely fantastic. The service was really good as well. I can't wait to come back!

Loved our meal here! Everything we had was delicious, and it was really fun ordering many things on the menu since the prices are reasonable. The staff was very accommodating allowing us to move to a bigger table with more room. I just wish the menu was easier to read on my phone, I had to zoom in and had to continuously scroll left and right to read everything. I got the Crispy pork, the samurai sampler and the last train to chaing mai. All fantastic!!

Went here with my husband for my birthday dinner on Thursday night. I had high expectations with the rave reviews and lack of availability (had to book 1 month in advance) so I was excited. And honestly it does not live up to the hype. *Full disclosure I would be classified as a "foodie" well traveled with dining at 3 Michelin stars down to excellent street food* The atmosphere and mood of the place is 5/5 even with close tables. However the service was average, also never asked if were celebrating anything (despite noting it on the reservation). The food was tasty but not excellent and lacked creativity. I will say the prices were good for what you got. I think they need to decide what type of restaurant they want to be. Do you want to be upscale/creative fusion restaurant? or just above average fusion food restaurant. They are crushing the latter. Try it out, but lower your expectations. I will not be returning, too many other good restaurants in Milwaukee to explore.

This place is an incredible addition to the Milwaukee food scene. Haven’t been a fan of Asian cuisine in the Milwaukee area and this was worth the hype. The ambiance was small but cozy and upscale. Our server was attentive, conscientious, and sweet. Craft cocktails were unique and imaginative. My partner and I had the gyoza, flower, dumplings, and sliders for appetizers and the short rib and crispy pork and beef bowl. Everything was flavored well; the meat on the short rib fell off the bone, it was so tender. Ended the evening with the matcha crème brûlée, also a 10/10. Will definitely be returning.

It's a dream come true to find a new Thai restaurant in Milwaukee Wisconsin that serves delectable food with impeccable presentation! The opulent ambiance is a delight, and the prices are refreshingly reasonable. The service is exceptional, and the flavors are outstanding. While reservations are a must due to its immense popularity, it's a small price to pay for an unforgettable dining experience. With its remarkable success in just a few months, it's no wonder this restaurant has captured the hearts of foodies. The owner's unwavering passion for culinary excellence and commitment to outstanding service are a shining example. For those seeking traditional Thai cuisine with a sophisticated twist, I wholeheartedly endorse this restaurant. Its grand opening drew impressive crowds, and I urge you to try it during your visit - it's an experience that will leave you wanting more, and I'll certainly return!

This has been the most exciting and enjoyable dining experience I’ve had in Milwaukee in maybe 10 years. I went twice in one week because it was that good! Planning my return so I can work through the menu. Milwaukee was in desperate need of a place like this. Beautiful building, thoughtful experiential moments built into the dining experience, and an attentive and knowledgeable staff.

My wife and I dined in and had high expectations based on the reviews. Being former Bayview residents, we’re excited to try it! Here are my takeaways:
-Restaurant itself is beautiful and overall good atmosphere inside. It was lively.
-QR code menu was annoying and felt cheap for the price point of this restaurant. It forces everyone to look at their phones which kills ambiance amongst tables. It’s questionable decision considering the really big menu that is hard to read from a phone.
-Food was really good overall with good flavors and ingredients.
-Some things on the menu felt gimmicky. It felt like every other table had some sort of item that came out covered in smoke or fancy device/contraption that came with it….which is fun at first but does that mean the food is good?
-Our waitress was very nice and the service was attentive. Sometimes it was too attentive, however, as there were 2 different times when a wait staff came by and tried to take a dish away before we were completely done.
-We were rushed to pay our bill or continue to order food. We were at the restaurant for just over 1 hour and spent almost $180 for 2 people. Once again, at this price point, you would expect to not be rushed at all.

I visited on a Sunday evening about an hour before closing. It was still pretty packed but you could tell that a lot of tables were finishing their dinner. I was impressed by the wide of range of options for dinner. The food was great. I had the Samurai signature hand rolls and the Harajuki roll. I wish I had more of an appetite to try more items.
There was an annoying gnat that kept trying to join me for dinner but it was probably because the bar had already started breaking down and cleaning.
If I'm ever in town again I will definitely be back.

Wow, this place is good. I can understand why you really need reservations and they book far out. We got the chashu bao buns, royal flower dumplings, khao soi, drunken noodles, and lava cake for dessert. The flower dumplings were packed with so much flavor - truly awesome. The entrees both were stand outs. Loved the ambience too.

Wow, what a wonderful place. The food is unique, somehow modern & classic both, the setting is gorgeous, including the rooftop. The craft cocktails are unusual and amazing, and a real fuss is made over them. I've been back 8 times since I first wrote this, entertaining guests from out of town and dining alone. It's always great. The sushi and tuna are particularly favorites, but the menu is uncommonly big and deep.

I made a reservation for four and called and spoke to someone on the phone about arrival times he was very kind and flexible. Our table was ready when we got there and we were greeted and served water pretty quickly after arriving. We ordered quite a bit of food and everything Was very beautiful and tasty. I had a Thai iced tea and it was very well blended sometimes Thai iced teas can be really sweet, but this one had a great balance. We also had the chilled, silken, tofu delight. I had never had silken tofu, so I wasn’t quite sure what to expect. The kimchi on top was very flavorful tangy and crisp. The royal flower dumplings were very beautiful and well presented, but I wasn’t a big fan of them. Although I read the description of the dumplings, I wasn’t expecting them to taste so overwhelmingly nutty. The crab Rangoon were delicious and had a good seafood flavor and were very creamy inside. I was not a big fan of the Kinnickinnick crisp shells. The meat did not really taste like beef. It kind of reminded me of tuna tartare wonton taco. The flavor was a bit off for me. One of my favorite things that we ate that night was the Thai style calamari. It was fried so well, very light and crispy and the seasoning on it complemented very well with the dipping sauce that came with it we had the samurai signature hand roll set that was very fun to eat and everything was very fresh. We ordered the room service pad Thai in the classic pad Thai they were beautifully presented. It was also a fun experience to pull the seafood from the shells and divide it amongst ourselves. For dessert, we ordered the Yuzu cheesecake, hazelnut cake, and lava cake the ice cream on top of the lava cake looked like it might have been homemade and was maybe kept in plastic wrap in the freezer to maintain it shape. The Yuzu cheesecake was my favorite. It was very bright and had a summery taste. The berries complemented the citrus and cream taste very well. I’m giving the food four stars just because some of the dishes were just a little off for me. Otherwise everything was fantastic and we had an amazing waitress. Her name was Jocelyn. she was very well-versed on the menu and made a great recommendations and guided us through how to eat the different dishes that we ordered.

I’ve only heard great things about this place before stopping in. I was a walk-in, sat at the bar top. Asian cuisine is my favorite and this was amazing. My server was so kind, the bartender was nice! There are so many little touches here that make the experience memorable. I was in and out in only around 40 minutes. I will absolutely become a regular here.
Also referencing the picture; I ate two of the five rolls before pulling out my phone because I was too excited. Well worth the price.

Service is 10/10, food is 7/10, and the experience 9/10. This restaurant differentiates itself from other in Milwaukee because of the great service, and originality on serving the dishes. I personally did not like the food but that variates on taste.

WOW this place is amazing. Atmosphere is top notch. Reminds me of the swanky, classy rooftop restaurants my boyfriend and I dined at in Bangkok. Besides the authentic, elegant atmosphere, the food was mind blowing good. We got the drunken noodles, ocean fried rice and two apps. All were the BEST I’ve ever had— and I am very picky being Chinese and growing up with authentic dishes and having traveled all over Asia and across the world.
This place is fire.
