Great lakeside location. Good menu selection and service. White fish was excellent, cooked with a rustic rub. Blue Gill was good but a little overcooked in the fryer, really good dipping sauce though. The duck was the star dish, served with a rich cherry sauce. Recommended.

Very cool spot right on the water, not large, so make a reservation or get there as they open. You can watch the boats going in and out of the Marina. I had the Roasted Vegetable Ravioli and it was so good. Husband had the Atlantic Salmon with Capers in a Voldka sauce. He loved it.

Fantastic little gem on Washington Island. Check schedule though. If you can get into this place, I think you will be pleasantly surprised. A Bulgarian Chef combined with a unique menu makes this more of an experience than a meal. The setting is picturesque and takes you away from the fact you’re in a small building on a pier. Full bar to add to the experience.

Excellent restaurant with a variety of food and drink options right on the water. Sit outside and entire the island views and water in the distance. The menu is the best and highly recommend the perch dinner. Make reservations ahead of time and there shouldn’t be a wait for a table. Limited seating inside and out, but great atmosphere and excellent staff. Definitely will be back

The owner of our hotel recommended this place. We made reservations as advised for 7pm. Came in 10min early to check in with the hostess. There were no tables available. We were told they weren't sure when a table would become available. That was at 10 past 7. We also overheard one of the servers mention they've run out of white fish (they open at 5pm). There was 1 table open outside without any shade from the blinding setting sun. Not sure what happened to the curtains and umbrellas I saw in older photos. All in all we decided to leave. It seems this place is hit or miss and super inconsistent with food and service. Btw, if you are looking to try the white fish which is a local specialty, just about all other restaurants on the island have it on their menu at way lower prices and it's delicious. I wouldn't try this place again. I don't think it's worth the hype.

Pretty good food. Was surprised that Washington Island had a restaurant with a bar so it was nice to get that experience.

When we sat down they moved us out of our seats to a new table. We got a round of drinks and after we were comfortable they moved us back to the same spot we were in before. They said they would comp us something on our bill but failed to do so. Weird.

Overall decent sport to stop in for a bite on Washington Island.

Atmosphere was nice and food was good. My scallops were a little under cooked, as was my friends salmon. The outside deck wasn't open for dinning, and when we enquired about having dessert out there,our server was to the point and rude! We could eat out there but she would not be waiting on us. That's fine, but the way she put it wasn't. Her tip reflected that. She kinda rushed us. Overall everything was ok, with a nice view!

Over priced for average food. We had a couple flies keep bothering us the entire time we sat at our table. The fish I received was defiantly frozen, and have better for 1/2 the price. The steak my wife received was tough and had lots of fat on it, and the presentation was armature at best. Just because the food it expensive doesn't make it great.

Didn't make it past the hostess before we were turned away. While we noticed open tables and many more outside we were given every excuse as to why we couldn't be seated, didn't have a reservation, no one to serve us outside even though they were people outside sitting. I'm pretty sure we weren't served because we are a mixed race family and was racially profiled! I'm disheartened by this as we have encountered this at another business while on Washington Island as well.

5 Star view, 5 Star service and 5 Star Food! You don't normally get all three, but here you do. Please find this place. It is a few miles out of the way, but the sunset and are worth it. Sue was our server and she knocked it out of the park with her recommendations. I had the roasted duck with berry sauce and it was very good ( you have to like duck). Top notch. My wife had the boneless short ribs, an easy second choice. My other friend had the Great Lakes Perch, so wonderfully done.

Friendly staff. But false advertisement. The $32 baked duck is nothing but a quarter leg chicken. Quarter leg chicken packs come for $5 for 4 at the local grocery store. The waitress was unable to give details about the menu. Very disappointed.

The staff is so friendly and kind. However, DO NOT GET THE "BAKED DUCK." It is not duck! It was a quarter leg chicken. When confronted the staff about this they continued to insist it was duck. Wish we would've taken a picture but didn't think about it until after the fact... $32 for a quarter leg... how disappointing. Please stop false advertising your menu.

The best place to eat on the island. Food is amazing, service is outstanding and I'm picky and a pest. Our daughter has Celiac disease and eating out it's a challenge. Sue went above and beyond for us and our daughter had great food both nights and didn't get sick. I recommend this place all the way. The lobster tortellini is delicious, the ratatouille was excellent. Perch was very good, dessert so good that next time I'll have it first. Seriously a must go for anyone in Washington Island. Thanks so much for a wonderful experience 😊

We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Sailor’s Pub! Friendly, fun staff, who gave great service. Our food was delicious! I've heard before that's the best restaurant on the island but I was in for a surprise... A small but cute interior with a first row seats towards amazing sunsets over the lake. Once you're in the first thing that catches the eye is the cleanliness of the place and i mean squeaky clean. The staff is really friendly and welcoming makes you feel like you're coming home . And then comes the food... Oh yes, the food... They got me back to times that you could pronounce the name of the plate without the need to speak different languages and still have an amazing experience. The times you didn't need ingredients from the rainforest or Himalayas to be able to claim you run a fine dining restaurant. The times when the ingredients were put together to form a base of flavors and amazing taste lightly touched by herbs and spices. Anything you pick from that menu you will remember for a long time, I dare you prove me wrong. And then comes the dessert... Be prepared for a massive release of dopamine as a result of what's on your plate, your body will try to stop but you wouldn't listen. I've tried a lot of what Chicago has to offer but never without paying for it later that night. Not the case here, no heartburn, no heaviness just pleasure...
And all that made from scratch, from zero, nothing processed, nothing store bought no short cuts, no compromises. I know that because I saw where the magic happens, hands down the cleanest kitchen I've seen so far and in my line of work I have access to quite a few high end ones. That restaurant is a reminder that you can be innovative without getting lost on the way, you don't need to be pompous to be classy and most of all you can have all this without cutting corners by any means.

Definitely overpriced. Terrible service time. Food tastes store bought and not worth the price. Spiders of all size were right in front of our view which could have been a beautiful sunset. Spiders and their webs were also all over under the dinner table, I share the photos here. The webs and spiders all landed on my napkin, luckily, but couldn’t use the napkin then. I’m glad I noticed. There was a dirty fork under our table as well. Overall, I felt disgusting having to eat because it was so expensive. Order crab cakes if you want some good onion rings but crab cakes were average at best and not worth the price at all. Salmon with pesto had average fettuccine. Very nice bartender tho.

Our second time coming here for dinner. We made an outdoor seating reservation for 7, but there weren't any tables ready large enough to accommodate our group. They sat us a smaller pub table with drinks until they could clear one so we could move. Staff was fantastic about keeping everyone apart as best they could. Food was delishious, I had prime rib, my son had Alfredo, and my husband had perch. All around beautiful setting to watch the sunset as you dine on deliscious food.
