We had a family of 8 for a special celebration dinner. The staff was attentive, the atmosphere was pleasant, teamwork was good, and the food was fresh.

Cons: Was super busy, therefore noisy. The wait for both a table and the food was a little long, and they don't accept reservations. I got a salad with shrimp, but I was unaware that the shrimp would be raw. I didn't like that or the lack of warning about it. Raw shrimp aside, literally, the salad itself was fantastic.

We ordered pick up and our Penne pasta was missing the chicken. We had started eating (it was delicious) and then questioned, wasn't there supposed to be chicken? I called them and they very politely and efficiently offered to remake our 2 orders of the garlic basil penne pasta . I happily accepted . Great customer service and the pasta was so good! Party of (2) We ordered the gnocchi and an order of pappardelle bolognese. Both were very good. One with meatballs and the other with homemade Italian sausage. The meatballs were simply ok, my grandfather's recipe is actually better. However, the Italian sausage was excellent. We split an order of tiramasu for dessert. I've eaten tiramasu all over the United States including the Little Italy's in New York as well as San Diego. This tiramasu was the best I've eaten hands down. Would totally recommend and will for sure come back to eat here.

Sammy's Pizza is classic and delicious. We take our family with 6 kids here every year after a trip to Bay Beach. The pizza is piping hot and perfect crust. The toppings, especially the sausage, peppers and onions are perfect. Sammy's has been my favorite pizza restaurant since I moved to Green Bay in 2007. The staff is always friendly and accommodating. The pizza is fantastic - plenty of toppings, great sauce and a nice thin crispy crust. Cheesy garlic is so delicious 😋 They have a nice variety of home made Italian food too. My son and I stopped in here for a pizza on our way home to Detroit after a weekend spent at the AirVenture show in Oshkosh. So glad we did. The bread sticks and dipping sauce were amazing. One of the best kept secrets about Green Bay is that it has two of the best authentic thin crust pizza places anywhere in the country (the other rhymes with Franky's). There is a reason this place has been around for decades and we always make a Sammy's stop (usually multiple) whenever we are in town. The gf pizza also stands up as one of the best and the spaghetti is also amazing.

Nevertheless, if you’ve traveled anywhere and had delicious Italian food, you’ll be disappointed with this restaurant. The portions are huge but don’t have that rich Italian flavor. My bolognese sauce tasted like a Chef boyardee can and my wife got sick from the sausage she ordered with her meal. I literally travel once a year to Green Bay from Seattle WA to eat here as many times as I can (okay, and see family also). I've been a fan of Sammy's since bite zero. Went in with my daughter this week. The server was really nice but the kitchen messed up my pizza, so they tried to quickly redo it. An hour after I went home I got hit with a massive case of food poisoning that lasted 2 days. Misunderstanding handled poorly by owner.
I purchased a parking ticket for a packer game one Sunday at Sammy's and at the point of purchase I was given the impression that if you bring your parking ticket back you can park for a second time, so we went back to park there for a second game. We showed our ticket to the lady who was handling ticket purchases and proceeded to go park. The owner then stormed up to our car scowling and told us we had to purchase a ticket, I showed him we had a ticket tried to explain my previous understanding and inquire as to where the mix up came in, sadly the only explanation I received was snide remark about how he cant let people park for 10 games a year for 20 dollars(I only ever thought it was 2 games total). I would have been happy to purchase another ticket and chalk things up to the fact that I must have misunderstood, if he had just treaded me respectfully. I can not speak for the quality of food, but what I can say is that the owner is far from a pleasant person in my experience.

Ordered a pizza and salad. Got the salad after a few minutes. It was drenched in dressing. Looked more like a clear soup with a few lettuce leaves and cheese floating in it. No one came to see how it was so I couldn’t ask them to remake it with dressing on the side. Took almost 90 minutes for the one pizza to be brought out. It was raw in the middle and burnt on the edges. At least 5 tables were served and left before we got our food. They also sat us at a table in the hall. The entire night people kept kicking my chair. One time I was pushed into the table by a server who told me to get out her way. We won’t be returning.

EDIT: Yes, it is hard when, how did Sammy's put it "things don’t go as expected." Especially when we received uneatable food, no service, and injuries from being kicked multiple times by employees and patrons. It was hands down the worst experience at any restaurant we've been to. And no, I couldn't move my chair to another location since the only open chairs were on that side of the table and I didn't want my small child to experience the kicking and injuries.

Staff we're incredibly helpful and nice! 👍 Ordered an antipasto salad, and my husband actually ate it! The kids loved the pizza and so did I. Would come again 😋🥰
