One of my coworkers spoke highly of this restaurant so I finally decided to stop by yesterday. I had my heart set on the Tequila Lime Shrimp but it wasn’t meant to be as the dinner menu didn’t start until 2pm. This was on a Sunday and could be different on other days. So, I pivoted to their green chile chilaquiles as I have had chilaquiles on my bucket list of foods to try. On a side note, the clownfish swimming around in the tank chilling around the sea anemone was such a trip to watch while waiting for my food. The place was fairly busy when I arrived but it felt pretty chill sitting at the bar and I liked the atmosphere. There is also a decent sized parking lot about a block up the road which has free parking up to four hours.
I will start by saying they knocked this green chile chilaquiles out of the park. Everything was seasoned well from the rice to the beans and the overall flavor was mindblowing. I would happily take seconds of that rice because it tasted so good! The steak was super tender as well. I am not a huge spice person but the green chile sauce covering the chips was mild and accented the dish perfectly instead of being overpowering. I was a little worried it was going to be super spicy but it was just right for me. The cilantro crema drizzled over the eggs was super tasty too. Not to mention the runny yolk which was delicious. They honestly executed everything so well and each bite was just as good as the last.
The only downside of this whole experience was the server accidentally dropping a tray of glasses behind the bar and getting some liquids on my shirt. I used the black napkin they use as coasters to dab it and it dyed part of my white shirt black. Absolutely tragic for the shirt, but I will still come back here in the future because I am very keen on trying the Tequila Lime Shrimp.

I love San Pedro, but their new brunch is so annoying. All of a sudden you don't have access to the full menu until mid-afternoon. When I go to San Pedro on the weekend, I don't want pancakes, no one comes here for pancakes or omelettes. The lunch section on their brunch menu is depressingly sparse. I hope you like nachos, because that's about the only option.

Amazing outdoor patio deck eating area. Very tranquil and relaxing. Good service and really good food. Loved the jerk chicken. Glad we got on the waiting list ahead of time. Highly recommend requesting outfit seating.

Our favorite date night place to stop in Hudson, a little limited space wise but we wouldn't change it. The food is always great. Only issue we have ever had was in the winter it can be cold up by the front door as people come and go - very busy place.

My wife, daughter and I were there for an alumni get together. Great pizza, meatballs, salads and desserts ( from the Bakery next door) were fantastic! Great wait staff friendly, efficient and kept in top of things, all in a beautiful patio on a beautiful night! Great times!

This is the nicest dining experience I’ve had in a long time. The food, drinks, décor, and service are all top notch! My only regret is that I can’t rewind time and enjoy it all over again.
I’ve had my fair share of bad dining experiences—horrendous meals, inattentive staff, dirty tables, and grimy atmospheres—but you’ll find none of that here. Instead, San Pedro Café delivers unique drinks, flavorful dishes, and friendly, attentive staff who actually check on you and keep your drinks filled.
It’s definitely on my list for future stops whenever I’m back in the area. Thanks for restoring my faith in restaurants—see you next time!

The food and service here is excellent.
The reason for the 3/5 star review is because the outdoor patio was swarming with bees, making it impossible to relax and enjoy our meal. I got stung, which for me means a night on the couch with a dose of Benadryl.
I still recommend it, just avoid sitting outside in the summer.

Excellent food! We’re from the San Francisco Bay Area, where Caribbean food is common, but your blends were excellent! The jerk chicken was excellence! The ropa vieja was delicious! And you’re non catering to bland pallets, which made our experience excellent! If this spot existed in the Bay Area, it would be our go to spot for years to come! Love it!!!

My momma and I went out for dinner and drinks and everything was great!! We sat outside right by the fountain which was adorable. Our server Lauren was AMAZING! It was very busy and Lauren remained super friendly and attentive. Just an amazing experience as always. Also the key lime pie martini was phenomenal

Shhh…What a super great place this is! The ambience is cool, and if you want to feel like you are on vacation, eat at their outside patio and order a cocktail. My favorite, and I can’t remember the exact name, but it’s a spicy chicken, rice, beans, and tomato dish. If you like spicy, this is wonderful!! Mix it all together though for the best flavor. There’s a reason it’s always packed! It’s small, though, so I’d go in a little earlier or later than meal-rush times. Try their mashed potatoes with bananas!!!

The food was quite good and tasty. The seating arrangement was a bit frustrating if you are a party of two.
There is a bar, a narrow middle section with booths for two squished between two narrow walkways, and a mid sized booth section against the wall that had a range of booths that could fit 4- 8 ish people. We were sat in the middle section and it was a bit uncomfortable in the crowded restaurant. People bumped us a few times and the small table space didn’t really allow for space for an appetizer, small side salad and a beverage, let alone our entrees. There were also so many flys within the restaurant. While a few flys is understandable given the time of year, the amount we encountered was truly ridiculous. You couldn’t go a minute without a few flys landing on your body or food. Multiple times I’d see flys landing on people’s backs and plates just walking around.

ORIGINAL: Really disappointed. We came in to celebrate my daughter’s birthday with her grandparents. She ordered the chicken nachos, but they came out burnt (see picture).
We decided to eat at the bar instead of wait half an hour for a table. They don’t take reservations. The hostess wouldn’t give me a menu because she said the bartender would give us one which never happened. The food took 40 minutes to arrive. I can understand a delay on a busy evening, but 40 minutes is excessive. The young bartender never bothered to give us an update.
It made for a memorable birthday experience, just not a positive one, unfortunately.

This is not my first time here, it’s been a few years.i will say we used to frequent this little gem. However, it seems the service has suffered a tad. Maybe due to being a Monday night? Plenty of staff for the few customers. Good was still delicious. 🤤

We were so dissapointed by this whole dining experience 4 out of the 6 of us are in the service industry. First off the hostess acted like it was an inconveniece for her to seat us also did not give us silverware, the 3 tables around us also had to get up and find someone for silverware. It took about 10 minutes to be greeted and about 20 more minutes to get our drinks from the bar. We all ordered our entrees one person did not get their salad and 15 minutes later was told the reason was because they ran out of the entree that she ordered. We then all got our entrees and some were cold, meanwhile she didnt get an entree at all, as we were finishing up our dinner the server asked if she would like her entree boxed up. She declined all together, there server did make good on taking the dinner off the bill, however we had to go to another estab. to get something to eat. We have always loved San Pedro and looked so forward into coming back, the food was bland and not spicy and flavorable like we remembered it, not sure if it was just an off night but the experience was terrible to say the least, from when we first walked in the door to the end of our visit. Super dissapointing since we talked up the restaraunt to our friends prior to our visit.

What a fantastic dining experience! This restaurant has quickly become one of my favorite spots in town. From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed by smiling, friendly staff who made us feel at home right away. The ambiance is warm and inviting — perfect for both a casual dinner and a special night out.
The menu has great variety, especially for vegetarians like me. I truly appreciate how flexible the kitchen is — they’re more than happy to make many dishes vegan or vegetarian upon request, which is rare and so thoughtful. It shows they care about different dietary needs.
The wood-fired pizza is a must-try — the crust is perfectly crisp and the flavors are spot on. We also tried the pasta, which was rich, fresh, and full of flavor. Every bite was just delicious. You can really tell that the ingredients are high quality and everything is made with care.
On top of all that, the location is super convenient, with easy access and plenty of parking nearby. It’s the kind of place that makes you want to come back again and again, not just for the food but for the entire experience.
Highly recommend this gem to anyone looking for amazing food, great service, and a welcoming vibe!

Mole enchiladas, a highlighted and server-recommended item, were terrible. Dry as if they sat under a heat lamp for an hour. Almost no mole sauce and what there was was DRIED OUT and crusted on in a small drizzle. What flavor I could taste had no flavor depth. I am not giving the food one star because my companions pizza with duck and jalepeno is was pretty good, but not good enough to return. Rice side was bland as can be. I cannot believe how bad it was given the reviews. Had been there years ago, and it was excellent at that time.

We’ve been coming to San Pedro Café several times a month for the last four years, and it’s consistently outstanding. We've tried a lot on the menu, but we always come back to our favorites: the roasted tomato nachos (don’t skip the extra aioli) and the chicken chile penne—both packed with flavor and so satisfying.
The cocktails are absolutely to die for, and the patio is one of our favorite places to relax. The staff is always friendly, attentive, and welcoming. We’ve truly never had a bad experience—this place is a gem, and we look forward to every visit!

Unfortunately this place is starting to look dated. The food is lack luster at best now. Dont know if the Chef has changed or what. Its been 3 years since ive eaten here. I also noticed to customer clickyness going on at the bar. I understand your staff know their regulars however us non regulars also should get the attention to detail also. Ive been a loyal customer in the past even purchasing your green shirts during covid. I doubt that I will make SPC a stop next time im in town.

Heard about San Pedro Cafe from a friend in Red Wing, MN and we finally decided to give it a try. Boy, are we glad we did!! I seriously just found my new favorite restaurant!
The atmosphere was great and the music was fun and then came the food! Wow, so many great selections and so flavorful! I had the Breakfast Pizza while my wife had the Pork and Poblano omelet…and everything was so good! We topped our brunch off with a piece of Key Lime pie and it was the best Key Lime pie we’ve ever eaten!
To top it off, our server, Lauren, was fantastic! So personable and fun, and made great suggestions! Overall, it was the perfect dining experience and we are already planning our next outing to the delightful, San Pedro Cafe!
If you are in the mood for something different, something flavor-able and a great dining outing, head to the San Pedro Cafe!!

This is a smaller place but the food is good. The rum caramel cinnamon roll is incredible. I had pizza that was good. My daughter's pancakes looked delicious. The waitress that we had was so nice to my kids and did such a wonderful job helping us.

Stopped on Thursday around 5, almost full but no wait to get a table. Staff were awesome -- attentive and accommodating. Food was amazing (barbacoa tacos and halibut. chips and salsa were maybe the most fresh in town). Portions are filling for sure, drinks are pretty large. We will be back to try the green curry and maybe steak in a couple weeks. Can't wait!

We like to watch the fish while we wait.
Whenever I am sick, I always get the Yucatan stew, and the chefs are always great about subbing chicken for pork.
I don't know what they do to the mango vinaigrette, but it is delicious, and I dream about it.
Sometimes there is a wait, but they have a good selection of na drinks and alcoholic drinks. We have never received poor service and love all of the chefs.

Had dinner tonight. There was a very long wait which we expected. The ceviche was terrible. I had fish tacos with a Mongo chutney...two tiny pieces of mango and the reat was all pineapple which I hate. Disgusting at best. My daughter's shrimp lobster pasta was not executed well and the Pico for my husband and sons meal was the worst we ever had. It basically tasted like biting into a raw tomatoe. Completely FLAVORLESS. There isn't a chance we will EVER RETURN. Skip this one and just have Pedro's pizza which is the same owner.

Do not go. Today was my 5thish time there and, silly me, thinking it will get better. Arrived today with my 2 daughters at 2:04pm and was greeted with a seat yourself sign which should give you and indication of how busy it was. 1 server and 1 bartender. 2 cooks, because the kitchen is open and everyone can see so staffing is minimal. Thinking that we are between lunch and dinner this should be fairly quick. Silly me. Ordered by 2:10pm and then began the great wait. At 2:30pm I watched my daughters order go under the warming light. While being ignored by our server, Karen B, I finally asked IF that was one of our orders, to which I was informed it was and then I asked why she would let it sit there for 15 min. Should be yummy by this time. I was told that it was not brought to the table because the entire order was not ready. How does this brand of logic even exist at a restaurant. 2:45pm Shortly after this exchange our Burritos, the daily special, showed up. Isn't a special supposed to be one of those items that is a quick turnaround? So at 2:45pm I now have 2 hot meals and one marginally warm. I informed our server that we were now out of time and would need "to go" containers. When those were delivered Karen B. informed me that the reason the food was slow was because the cook/chef's "mother in law" just died. Should I have shared that my mother died Jan 5, 2025. What does that have to do with crappy service? We left promptly with 3 to go containers and a horrible experience. My daughter dumped hers in the garbage can at the corner and my other daughter ate hers at home. Average at best.
My recommendation after many attempts trying San Pedro's is don't do it. There are MANY other restaurants in Hudson that are far better. Agave', Barkers, Casanovas, Ziggy's, Post Mark Grill. Better food, acceptable wait times and FAR FAR better service.
This is a restaurant that is living off and aging reputation and seems oblivious or reluctant to change. Read the reviews others share my experience.

This was an overall very disappointing experience. Service was average, not terrible not memorable customer service. Our issues were with the food and the handling of our feedback (or lack thereof) when brought to our servers attention. The banana mashed potatoes are an interesting idea but poorly executed. The ribs were under sauced and very under seasoned and when we asked for extra barbecue sauce we were charged for it. The coconut corn, amazing! Highly recommend that. The real disappointment though was the duck nachos. We’re in Wisconsin and couldn’t do better than congealed and over baked cheese? We should have taken a picture because you have a time limit before the whole plate turned into a mass of chips and cheese. The issue is with how they’re prepared, the whole plate just gets put in the oven. They offered to remake them but we would have ended up with the same issue. This was like poor man’s nachos, you know the ones you make when you’re a kid with Tostitos and shredded bagged cheese. The drinks were good, happy with those and the environment was good but this will be my last time visiting San Pedro. We would have expected much better customer service and accountability for the way you prepare your food.

I felt like I was in the old California❤️ amazing atmosphere, Lauren was a marvelous host, and beyond and cc the server was also talented and sweet and attentive. The food was amazing. Remember they can tone down the spice. But we had the chicken lettuce wraps with mango salsa, guacamole, and regular salsa and an amazing sauce. We had the ceviche lobster and shrimp, again amazing, but definitely spicy but oh so good. Just a beautiful experience ❤️ going back as soon as I can! Great drinks too. Lots of unique food and drinks.

Inside is seriously small!

Coconut water/lime/Cruzan Rum cocktail was just ok.
Beef and broccoli special with eggs was very tasty.
The Server was great and friendly!
Kids chalk board with menu on the back is a genius idea.

Meh. Food flavors certainly weren't bad by any means but there were a few caveats. Carne Asada tacos- meat and rice were a very small portion, entire dish was lukewarm and rice had several hard uncooked grains throughout. Jerk chicken same issues with temperature and rice although meat portion was a little bigger. For the price I would expect a larger portion on both dishes( sure were generous with those beans though lol). Lastly, they were not terribly busy on a Monday at 3:45-4 pm yet it seemed to take a long time to get our food. Conch chowder was delicious. Next time I'll skip and head to Azul tequila where each comparable dish will feed you 2 times.

Absolutely AMAZING food! We will absolutely be coming back. Our server Elise was wonderful and did a great job balancing all of the craziness. It was clear she had a lot on her plate but she didn’t let it affect her mood or the amazing service! We are very impressed.

This place has great food! The server was very sweet to us and kept checking in on us. My food was more than enough to share, and I was able to bring leftovers home. The drinks were good, too. One thing to mention is that a lot of the menu contains items that are spicy, so if you like spice, this is the place for you!

Amazing place to be! We were recommended by a friend and we (group of 3) decided to try it out! We were told a hour wait time but we decided to sit at the bar- best decision!!! Got on the waitlist which said 45 minutes. Waited over 1 hour while checking in with the hostess a few times to confirm our spot. After 1:15 the hostess told us their kitchen was behind and they didn’t have a table for us. When a table could be available they said food would take over an hour. Unfortunate waste of time to be turned away.

Went there june 20th for my bday. The service was fantastic, didn't feel rushed at all and our server was delightful. Now the food!! Oh my goodness, it was delectable. I had the jerk chicken penne with sauce, the side of red beans and rice and side salad which had the lightest, but flavorful dressing. The portions were perfect and I honestly would go back just to repeat that meal. There were so many tasty options on the menu and cant wait to go back and try those as well. We got lucky and had the window booth which made it feel more private and with a great view. San Pedro's thank you for such a yummy bday dinner!

I love this restaurant. I order something not on the current menu every single time I go and have for years on end. (Please bring back Rasta Pasta as pictured...) Always great. There is definitely a quality of how good it is based on who's cooking, though. The best it's ever been, is when I was told Chewie was working. I asked because it was noticeably better. The last time we were there and he wasn't cooking, it wasn't near as good. We love bringing people here, and the new patio was an outstanding investment! The spicy shrimp appetizer is always the best thing to get.
Update:
The last several times when Chewie, Ryan, or Reed have been cooking, have been outstanding. Best and most consistent restaurant in Hudson. Threw in a photo of the Rasta Pasta tonight. Was. So. Good.

Great Mediterranean food. I had the Barbacoa Quesedilla with a friend. He had the Carne Asada. We ordered the clam and corn chowder. We were extremely satisfied.
The servers were amazing. We got our water refilled near instantly when out. They gave personal recommendations and helped us decide what to get. All of the waitresses were very hospitable and social.

So I had been hearing so much about this restaurant that we had to give it a try. Parking wasn't much of an issue, but we also came before the dinner rush. When we walked in we were told we could sit wherever we wanted. We sat at a booth and our server came over and took our order and she was replaced by two young ladies because she was leaving. So I ordered the jerk chicken with mixed vegetables and my other half ordered the chicken chile penne.
The food was phenomenal, perfectly seasoned, and spicy enough to make it very enjoyable. I like how they ask if you're okay with spicy food when ordering for those who might not be equipped to handle spicy foods. Also, I love the decor, I love the brick look on one side of the restaurant kind of gave it that industrial look which I feel was a nice touch. I tried the blackberry margarita and it was my first time trying it and now I'm a fan it was made perfectly.
I cannot say enough good things about this hidden gem. But we will return so we can enjoy the patio we couldn't enjoy on this visit because the weather wasn't favorable. Thank you San Pedro Cafe for making our visit one to remember.

If you’re reading this review and haven’t eaten here yet, ask yourself why? What’s holding you back, the Minnesota winter or slow start to summer? This place is outstanding and if you have been to the real San Pedro in Belize, you’ll totally get this menu. If you haven’t, well they still have other more standard stuff including excellent barbecue chicken pizza. The jalapeño blood orange margarita and the angry mule drinks are must have if you like a spicy drink. I’m thrilled that this place continues to do well in little old Hudson and keeps serving amazing drinks and food.
Edit: Feb 2024, still fantastic. The shrimp ceviche was a little off, maybe the shrimp was not fresh, but otherwise everything was excellent including the drinks and chicken mole enchiladas.

The food was fine. We were looking for something more authentic. The ceviche: under-seasoned and the texture was wrong. Honestly it’s what your midwestern grandma would make and call ceviche. The conch corn chowder: fine. The blackened fish tacos: the fish was dry and the accompaniments were bland. The service was prompt and friendly. The interior is clean. Random side note…I did notice that they had some rare whiskies on the shelf at the bar.

My friend & I typically love San Pedro’s, but we were both very disappointed on a Sunday in December. First of all the menu was so limited, there was hardly any selections. My friend ordered breakfast & I a sandwich. Both food portions were small. The breakfast was dried out & didn’t look appealing. My sandwich wrap didn’t have much taste or spice & the filling was hardly adequate for the wrap. The rice was dry & the beans tasteless. Very disappointed, as in many past visits, i’ve always been impressed

Waitress was very friendly and the service was efficient.
We were in a separate room behind the main restaurant area that was not centrally heated. It had heaters all around and the fans are supposed to warm the place I guess. It was fine for the upper body. But my legs were cold.
I ordered halibut. Maybe the other entrees are good, but this dish was awful. Spices are supposed to enhance the taste of the food you are eating, not overwhelm it. Could not taste the halibut at all. And I am an Asian Indian who lives in Texas. So, I do know just a little about spices.
Definitely order something else!

This is my absolute favorite restaurant! I always get the smoked chicken nachos. The spicy aioli sauce on it is sooo good! I've tried the Woodfield pizzas also, and they never disappoint. Took my sister in law here for her birthday. Our food was wonderful. Duck nachos are a must. Couple of concerns-it is so loud that it's almost impossible to carry on a conversation. We were seated in the small center island booths and there was nowhere to put our coats or purses so they had to stay on our laps the entire meal. They kept slipping off. With just fall coats, it was somewhat doable, but if one had a huge winter jacket, it wouldn't work. A side booth would be better, but I understand that it was busy and they put groups on larger booths. But overall, it's a wonderful restaurant. I've been going here occasionally since it opened. The food is always wonderful. And our waitress was very good.
