Had to revise my review today. Went for Friday fish fry. Very soggy fish and chicken , was like all food was pre made and just warmed up . Plus not really liking the way were seated and served . Love the atmosphere. Being right on the lake. Small rural feel. 12 tables in the dining room very cozy but very nice. Friendly and attentive staff. Very clean and nice place. The lasagna soup was excellent!!! Wish that they offered a side salad versus Coleslaw. Although the coleslaw was excellent. Unique favor. Not to sour. My fiance had the Prime Rib, he was not a fan of the flavor. Not sure what they use for spices but it wasn't good. He was disappointed. He also got the Blue Gills, those where so good. A light breading on the fries fish made it excellent favor. My frog legs where excellent with drawn butter. My ribeye was done to my liking, medium rare, but it had no flavor. I always get sad if I have to add salt to a good steak. Overall the experience was great. We will definitely return for fish again.

The Sandpiper Inn is a cross between a bar, restaurant and supper club. Located on the shores of Lake Bernice in rural Campbellsport Wisconsin, this restaurant is a destination you seek out. And it’s worth the trip.

We came for the Friday fish fry. Which is unique in terms of the variety of selections and options. Perch, Haddock, walleye, shrimp, bkugil and even an option for all you can eat fish with broasted chicken. That’s unique! Broasted potato’s, French fries, potato pancakes. All the greatest hits for a fish fry in Wisconsin.

Service is setup such that you order while waiting for your table. When the table is ready your order is not far behind. No mulling over a menu at the table.

The food was delivered minutes after being seated fast and was fresh and delicious.

Great drinks. Typical Wisconsin old fashions and a great selection of beers.

The prices were quite reasonable averaging about $25 a head with tip for food. And we all left FULL. Drinks just a little extra.

Check out the menu. Great specials all week with items like smelt, frog legs and other Midwest favorites.

It was our first time at the sandpiper. I read that they fill up fast. Knowing this we went early and were not disappointed. Everything, and everyone were just wonderful. They hostess took our order as our drinks were being made. It wasn't 15 minutes later we were taken to our table. The server brought out our dinners, which were piping hot and correctly assembled. We had fish, chicken, and shrimp dishes, which all were very tasty. The server stopped bye numerous times to see if we needed anything . I can say we will definitely be back. GREAT JOB BY ALL THE STAFF.

Make no mistake. This place is the backwoods. Boondocks. Pick your word. But once you get there, it’s totally worth it. Once you arrive, check in with the greeter and they’ll give you a pager. Grab a drink at the bar while they prep your meal. Once your pager goes off, they give you a table number. Have a seat and a little while later, your food is ready. The staff is super nice. The the walleye fish fry and it was great. Definitely worth the time spent getting there !

The NYE crab leg special was an awesome deal! Didn’t get to finish my baked potato I was so full. Broasted chicken and potatoes were hot and fresh. The dining room is small but not overly crowded or loud. Our waitress was very attentive and sweet. We loved the canned soda options too!

We stopped here this past Saturday evening while visiting Rolf dog park in West Bend. It was about 20mins from there. First of all, the bartender is extremely friendly...the Drew Barrymore of bartenders for sure...I ordered the ribeye which was prepared perfectly and had a wonderful chargrilled taste. My husband had the ribs. Our experience was excellent and we will be returning on a Sunday to try the broasted chicken dinner.

I wanted to go here saw billboard looking for taking Ng wife out to a new restaurant. The bar has a view of the lake (pond) looks more like stagnant water green alge duck weed not a great view.
Went on a Friday fish fry food was ok the fish type was not identified as cod,haddoc or something else it was "fishy" tasting sounds strange but cod or haddock usually is not ocean fishy tasting usually more like fresh water fish. Edible but not as good as most Wisconsin fish frys most will probably be disappointed. The best part of the fish fry was the excellent French fries hot crisp outside just right inside.
The bartender was friendly you couldn't ask for a better drink a little pricey but actually fair considering the full pour glass received.
The table service is okay but hardly what most are used to. You see the hostess put in your order and wait at the bar (some old timey supper club style) when the food is ready they seat you in a large open dinning room with table's that made me think of a cafe/cafeteria put your food out and move on to the next table very assembley line like. The server does stop by occasionally to see if you want anything. All in all it's ok kind of an impersonal kind of service with servers appearing to be pretty rushed and turning table's in a rushed ASAP way with customers coming and going in a constant circle that's actually subtlety pushing you to do the same.
We prefer a more fine dinning unrushed experience. Between the food quality,taste and dinning room experience we won't go back. Now having said that if you don't mind faster Cafe style dinning okay food at a good (cheap) price it's not too bad.

This is a family style restaurant where you come in, order your food, then sit and enjoy a cocktail until the buzz you. It was Friiday so we all ordered all-you-can-eat fish and chicken. The chicken was very good but a little cold, the fish was not only cold, it was inedible, these little old tasting pieces of chewy fish that tasted awful! We ordered another plate and one of the pieces of fish was delicious and warm and the rest were not good.

We went on Mother’s Day and they were very busy, they were taking reservations only, chicken and beef tips on the menu. My husband and I had checked the menu out prior to going there. We arrived right at opening on a Wednesday. There were 7 vehicles there already. Doors opened right at 4pm. The way they did their seating was different than I was used to. When you walk in you go to the hostess stand and sign in as well as order your food. This was an all you can eat night and it was served family style. You would get called to your table when your food was ready. That was great.
The waitress was alone in serving the food. She did an excellent job keeping up with the all you can eat. The diner is small with approximately 13 tables. The bartender was very nice as well. The prices of food and drinks were very reasonable.

First visit back to the Sandpiper with the new owners was a delight! The food quality, the attentive staff, and the spotless restaurant exceeded expectations. The prime rib and brisket were hickory smoked, every bite was mouth-watering delicious. I'm usually not a fan of brisket, but this brisket is awesome compared to others that I've had. And the prime rib and brisket are so big that I had leftovers for days and every day was an awesome delicious sandwich. The broasted potato wedges, every bite
was delicious it would melt in your mouth. No dry or raw spots to be found. Next time I come I'm trying the full rack of ribs. My mouth is watering just thinking about my next visit.
