I am very disappointed to be writing this review, as we were really looking forward to going to Sandra's. We go to a lot of supper clubs and love trying new ones. But it was the absolute worst service we've ever experienced, supper club or otherwise.

I guess I'll start at the beginning. We got waters from the hostess right away, and then we sat for about 10 minutes. Our server then came and took our drink orders, and came back with one drink. The other drink came about another 20 minutes later, so almost a half hour after we were seated. The server apologized that it took so long but the bartender was "slammed." There were two people sitting at the bar.

On that note, it was a Sunday night and the restaurant was dead. Our server only had one other table the entire 2.5 hours we were there. When she hadn't taken our food order in over a half hour, I started looking for her to catch her eye, but I noticed her other table was clearly very upset about something. So we gave her some slack, and thought "oh, that table is a bunch of jerks and the poor lady is trying to appease them." Unfortunately 2 hours later, we knew better.

It took one hour 35 minutes to get our entrees. With almost no one else in the restaurant. The worst part was that when it was becoming uncomfortable with how long our food was, our server actively avoided us. When she walked into the dining room, she intentionally would not make eye contact with us. We waited an hour and 35 minutes with no explanation, no estimate, not even a refill on the bread basket. Once our food came, she told us that the order machine was apparently offline and our order never got sent to the kitchen. So after a half hour...45 minutes...an hour... she didn't think to ask where the food for her ONLY table was?

We're reasonable people. If there was an issue we would've patiently waited for the situation to be rectified. But we were simply ignored, to the point that we seriously considered throwing some cash on the table for the drinks and apps and going to Culver's.

Also, the food was okay. Average for a supper club. But I have a feeling I would've enjoyed it more if what I was served was actually what I ordered.

My cousins and I meet once a month - this month it was Sandra's on the Park. We all had the fish fry - excellent! Regular fry has 3 big pieces of cod - fried to perfection, parmesan dusted fries, coleslaw slaw, marble rye, tartar. and lemon. If you don't want rye bread they substitute with a parmesan encrusted Vienna bread - out of this world. Service is spot on. Restaurant has a nice ambiance.

Outstanding dining experience!! VERY accommodating to our large group of 50+ The server KIM was beyond exceptional BUT the bartender was rude and had a TERRIBLE attitude to everyone!! That is the reason for the FOUR stars only. Kim the server quickly turned that around- she was awesome. The ribs were probably some of the BEST we have ever had. We had a reservation for 2 at 6:45. We arrived early and were greeted by a very polite hostess who requested that we wait at the bar. There were a few empty 4 tops but no empty 2 tops. Almost 40 minutes later, we visited the hostess station again. Our reservation time had come and gone. Others were being seated and different tables were opening up. A different hostess indicated that she was waiting for the table right next to the hostess station to open. She didn't make eye contact and appeared rather annoyed. I explained that we had been seated at that table the last three times we visited the restaurant. It was quite a noisy table. Since it was our anniversary I asked if we could have a different table. By now there were 3 empty 4 tops. She got quite rude and now looked me straight in the face and loudy said, well I can do that but you'll have to wait longer. I said fine and walked away. I went back to the bar and told my husband. We stayed and eventually got seated. Our waitress was good but that hostess set the tone for the rest of the meal. Eating out is expensive anywhere but it is worth it when you are treated well. We probably won't be going back.

We arrived in time for a happy hour cocktail to start our evening at Sandra's. We found it odd that they don't offer tap beer which is a staple in Wisconsin bars. But our drinks were well poured and enjoyable.
Our party of four was seated on the backyard patio at our request along with several other diners on this perfect summer evening. We were overlooking lush vegetation and huge trees to give us the "On The Park" vibe we were looking for.
Our server, Alyssa, greeted us and gave us time to peruse the menu. Her timing for our whole experience was spot on and professional.
My dinner was the walleyed pike and shrimp dish and was delicious. Both items were prepared with garlic butter and served over rice. The shrimp bisque appetizer was one of the better soups I've had in a while.
My wife enjoyed her bowl of shrimp linguine while our companions both had a huge rack of Sandra's famous ribs. The meals were substantial and all three took a little home for later. All our meals were of high quality and priced moderately.
Between the service, ambience of the patio, and the satisfying dinners, we would recommend giving Sandra's a try to all.

Beware of hidden charges! We should have left right away when arriving at 8pm Friday night the they initially turned us away saying the patio was already closed but then hostess came after us and said they will serve us. We were a party of 3 and ordered 2 things and were gonna all share. My elderly sick mother and I don't eat much. After waiting what seemed like a very long time our food arrived. The coconut shrimp was good but the fish fry was mediocre. Tasted like their oil needed changing. When the bill came I wanted to know why a fish fry costed $26.95 and the waitress said there was a $5 split plate charge. We didn't ask them to split anything and they didn't give anything extra except a plate. Plus we've been there many times over the years since they opened and there was never a split fee before. The waitress brought out the menu and it was not listed anywhere that there is a split charge. The waitress didn't know how to handle situation so the manager came out. Instead of taking off the charge like a good restaurant should we got a lecture on how we were costing them money and everyone charges $5 for splitting (everyone doesn't, I only know of 1 other restaurant around that does so and it is clearly posted on their menu). I literally asked the manager if he was willing to lose repeat customers over $5 and he sadly sad yes. The place hasn't been the same since Sandra sold out.

The building used to be a doctor office, and my parents took us here when we were little. I wasn't sure what to expect during my first time there. The restaurant is nice but nothing too special. The worst part of my visit was that it was so loud, I couldn't hear the others at my table. The customers at the next table were very loud and the acoustics in the dining room did not help. The food and service were great, hence the four stars. I would get food here but would take it to go.

In no way was I wowed by the food. The walleye simply did not taste good and left a bitter aftertaste in my mouth. I only took two bites and could have no more. The French onion soup was also nothing to write home about. I will say however though my mother had ribs which she was raving about so that is definitely something.

The server was amazing. The restaurant was extremely busy and she was doing her absolute best and being very attentive at the same time while also being social as much as she could.

I would give the restaurant another try. Maybe try something a little bit different. I did alert the server to the fact that I could not eat the fish. I was not expecting a completely free meal or anything like that but maybe a discount on the bill but at the end of the day I received nothing. I ended up walking out with almost $140 Bill still hungry.

Review for Sandra’s on the Park

We had a 7:00 PM reservation for four people. Upon arrival, we were met by a very stressed and unprofessional hostess who instructed us to sit and wait, as the bar was too full to stand at. Approximately 20 minutes later, we went back to check on our seating, only to be told — rudely — that we were never properly checked in. There was no apology, only more stress and attitude.

We eventually found space at the bar to wait for our table. At no point did any staff member come to update us on how much longer we would need to wait. After 50 minutes past our reservation time, we were finally seated.

Our waitress was kind but overwhelmed. It took an excessive amount of time to receive our drink order, and during our meal we had to personally go to the bar for additional drinks because the waitress was nowhere to be found. Our food finally arrived at 9:00 PM, two hours after our original reservation.

The food was acceptable. The steak was very good, the ribs were average, and everything else was mediocre at best. After finishing, it took another 15 minutes just to have our payment collected. We did not leave until 10:00 PM — a full three hours for what should have been a straightforward dinner.

Throughout the entire evening, there was no apology, no acknowledgment of the poor service, and no sense that the staff cared about the customer experience.

Sandra’s on the Park is trying to build a loyal customer base, but with service like this, I fear they are setting themselves up for failure. Good food alone isn’t enough; professional, respectful service is critical.

I don’t expect to be coddled, but when I have a 7 PM reservation, I expect to be seated by 7:30, have my meal in a reasonable time, and leave by 8:30. Wasting an extra hour and a half of my evening is completely unacceptable.

I will not return and will be sharing my experience with others. If you’re looking for a truly enjoyable dining experience and great service, I highly recommend you visit one of the more established restaurants in town instead.

I had made dinner reservations for four of us to celebrate a special birthday. I realize it was 6pm on a Saturday night. Jeff W was our waiter. He was excellent, but way over worked. I honestly don't know if someone called in, or if they actually staff that short. Although he was very pleasant, he didn't have time to chat, make menu suggestions, or anything. We had to wait quite a while for our check. the bill was $264.25. For that kind of money I would chose a Bartolotta restaurant where you actually have a wait team serving you, instead of an overworked waiter that barely had time to talk to us. Not saying it was his fault at all. I did give him the full tip, but I really didn't feel that we had the service we paid for. Management please take note. The customers are noticing that you are understaffed, and don't appreciate it.

This was by far the Best Dinner a Chef has prepared for Me. The 6oz Fillet Mignon was cooked to Perfection; couldn’t have been cooked any better. The 6oz Lobster tail was cooked perfectly also, NOT tough at all. Mashed Potatoes, was proportioned just right; not too small and not too much - just perfect. Came with yellow squash & zucchini slices, where those to, were cooked perfectly. Its hard to cook both of those vegetables together where they’re cooked just right because they both are very watered vegetables .. the Chef “aced” it with them. Overall, this restaurant & its chef, did a PHENOMENAL job with everything-this is beyond 5 stars. They did better than The Steak Out. I was there on Oct.16th 2024 between 6:15pm-7:30pm.

Currently, it has been my second time going here, and this time, went here for my birthday dinner.

Food has been exceptionally good, ordered their award winning ribs, and was shocked to see their "half rack" look like a full rack. Was not disappointed one bit. Their crème brûlée was pretty good, too.

Service was great as well. Jenny was kind and on point with her service.

Atmosphere in the main floor can be a bit loud on the main floor, but it eventually calmed near the end of the dinner. A couple next to us seemed to have picked that up and asked if they could move to a quieter spot. Their service staff politely moved them, which was nice of them, so service again is on good reviews. I know they can't do much about it to lower the room's volume, but just be prepared if you are being seated inside.

Don't consider 3/5 a bad rating just on atmosphere, I'm just pointing out one thing to expect when coming here. Inside is decorated nicely.

I overall AND highly recommend this place to go, especially in the summer when their patio is open. Awesome food as well as awesome service. 👌

Stopped here for the first time tonight on a whim. Amazing food and service. We opted to sit at the bar since we didn't have a reservation. I enjoyed a refreshing Limoncello martini. For starters, we had the crab cakes, and each of us chose soup, I had the shrimp vegetable soup, and my husband had the baked French onion. I chose the sea bass for dinner and my husband had the prime rib, both were delicious. We recommend the garlic mashed potatoes as your side. For dessert, my husband had the carrot cake, and I had the raspberry lemon drop cake. Carol, the bartender, was great. Great food and wonderful atmosphere. I recommend reservations.

Absolutely horrible experience. I made reservations in advance. We cane on time 5 30 pm. By 6 10..pm. we were still waiting for our drinks!!! No bread, no soups ether. With the price for average entrée almost 50 $...they need to take care of their clients pretty well. So...after 45 minutes wait, we left. Please, be aware, that the reustrant is verryyyy old, fireplace doesn't work, all surroundings are dated. And the service is verryyy poor. I have been to Sandra's several times. As it turns out, each time it has been for the Friday fish fry, which is excellent! The selection and quality of drinks and appetizers are good too. One of these days I will visit for something else, as everything I have seen looks excellent. The staff is friendly and helpful, and if the weather is nice, it doesn't get much better than sitting outside on the patio, it has the feel of a backyard garden, a lovely place to spend a summer evening. Even when the weather is a bit cooler it is still nice, as they fire up the heaters which not only warm it up but provide an extra bit of ambience. Highly recommend!

My wife and I decided to celebrate at Sandra's following a significant event; we eat out quite often but usually at restaurants with prices about half as much as at Sandras. Since this was a special event, we didn’t mind the higher cost. However, we did expect to receive a superior meal and superior service commensurate with the higher price. We received neither. We both ordered fish dishes (she ordered Sriracha Bourbon Salmon and I ordered Parmesan Crusted Cod). Both were overcooked to the point of mushiness. The cod also had no hint of parmesan. The vegetables were also overcooked to the point of mushiness; there wasn’t a hint of crispness. The garlic mashed potatoes weren’t terrible but were nothing special either. Based on other reviewers’ positive comments about the food, I’m left wondering if the chef called in sick and unqualified staff had to sub on the day we were there.

The server was pleasant but there were significant delays. This is likely because the dining room was understaffed; I saw our waitress serving tables in the opposite corner of the dining room from where our table was. When she took the remainder of my wife’s food to box it, she returned with our check but without the food. This too was likely due to understaffing.

Other disappointments are largely a matter of preference. We didn’t love our tiny table, how tightly the tables were packed into the crowded dining room, and especially the terrible acoustics. The dining room was very loud; it was very hard for my wife and I to understand one another. The upstairs restroom situation wasn’t great either; there is a single unisex bathroom. In theory this is fine, but if that’s the way you roll, you’d better have staff checking for cleanliness pretty frequently. The bathroom wasn’t disgusting, but wasn’t spotless either.

Overall it wasn’t worth the price we paid.

First visit to this restaurant. It is not a large place so I recommend getting reservations. The dining room is a bit crowded. The service could better for the value of the meals. Our server never asked to refresh drinks or check on the waters. Additionally I requested a Manhattan from the bar without ice and it came back in a glass full of ice. Bartender needs to go back to school. Otherwise the meal was delivered as ordered. Surprised about the cheese crusted bread, never experienced that before.

#2 My first review that listed below was written almost two years ago. Since then we’ve been here numerous times but the last time was below average. The service was very slow and considering we always come at 4 pm that’s especially alarming. Food was decent but not great and we were seated at a very small and cramped
Table. Maybe from now on we will only come in the summer and eat on the patio.

Just had Thanksgiving there today. Had a lovely time. Nice vibes in there. Had the Seabass, it was super fresh and I'm kind of picky about seafood after living on the East Coast. I hate to write this review but unfortunately I’ve been upset about this visit since Saturday. We made a reservation a week prior to our visit at 7:00pm. I arrived at 6:50pm and the upstairs was packed. The young lady who greeted us was very pleasant and apologized for the wait which was no issue. At 7:16 a table opened up in the downstairs area which we actually preferred. Very nice supper club atmosphere that we enjoyed especially for our 74 old mother celebrating her birthday. Our waitress was “Sunshine” but was anything but. She started the conversation by saying I was waiting so long that she assumed I was a door dasher. Ok.. but when we told her we were here for our mother’s 74th birthday, she said “well you Hispanics don’t age.” My sister informed her that she’s Asian and her replay was “well them too.” Ok… again inappropriate but let’s move on. Finally the main course arrived and everything was good except my brother’s salmon was very overcooked and dry. Again things happen but when our waitress came back to check in on us, we did bring that up. Our waitress then stated “well our kitchen is full of Mexicans and always overcook things.” WOW… After that I was ever caught off guard. Anyways another slick “beaner” comment was made that she apologized for later and it was a fake apology. I’m in my mid 40’s and have very thick skin but even I was totally in shock. It’s unfortunate, I really enjoyed the experience besides the waitress being to comfortable with her bigot remarks. My sister felt the same…

Love the decor and atmosphere. Came on a Saturday at 5pm but place was full by 6pm. Very friendly waitress, not perfect service, but it did get really busy. All the food was delicious, cook on ribeye was not perfect, but not overcooked, and still delicious. Tenderloin sandwich was ordered medium rare, but was medium well but still tasted great. The Vienna bread was delicious, recommend the ribs! OMG. And the coconut shrimp and wonton Mozerella sticks where perfect, look at that cheese pull!!! Walleye was delicious and tender. Dined at the bar for an impromptu birthday dinner. The bartender, Ally, made it so much fun for us, and even surprised us with a special dessert! The food was delicious, everything was fresh and well prepared. (We had crispy goat cheese balls, walleye and sea bass. Each came with addictive “crack” bread, and soup/salad.) But it was the atmosphere for me! We went for an early Sunday dinner and the place was anything but old and stuffy! We will be back!

A fun evening at a different Supperclub. A very good choice. Yes, the usual Makers Old Fashioneds, appreciate a good Old Fashioned that you can taste the Bourbon. Dinners include choice of soup or salad, potato and fresh vegetables. We chose both Soup and salad. Italian Wedding soup was full of flavor. Nice bright salads, the Parmesean Poppy seed dressing had a sweet garlic, cheesy taste. She chose the 6oz filet and added shrimp. The filet was a perfect med rare and tender. The shrimp were sautéed in a Lemon Garlic Butter, oh so good. He chose the Bone in Ribeye, perfect rare. Was so tender, didn't need the steak knife. The mushrooms added another depth of flavor. Garlic mash are my favorites. She chose a Grasshopper for dessert, nice and thick. The carrot cake was moist and nice flavor, wish it had a more sponge to frosting ratio.
Great dinner, awesome service. We had reservations at 5:30 and arrived early, we were seated immediately.

Teresa gave us great service on our 25th anniversary. Brenda had the chicken caprese and I had the tomahawk steak. Both were fantastic. We showed up on a Wednesday so we had a half price bottle of wine and to our surprise Teresa brought us a small piece of cheesecake for our anniversary free of charge.

Disappointing visit that we had been looking forward to for some time. Perhaps this restaurant was better before it was sold, but I wouldn’t go back.
The mozzarella rolls were small and under seasoned with gummy cheese in the center.
The Vienna bread was nothing more than toasted white bread from a bag of grocery store bread with some parm cheese on it.
I had an 8oz filet that I ordered med rare with bleu cheese and mushrooms. The steak was well done and dry. The bleu cheese had zero flavor and the mushrooms were over salted. The side dish of zucchini was super wet and soggy. The baked potato was the star of be meal and it was just a plain old potato. Daughters Mac and cheese was gummy with over done mushy pasta. Drinks were not good. I sent my brandy sidecar back in favor of a simple glass of wine.
Overall everything lacked imagination and flavor. The atmosphere was lacking as well. It’s not on the park - more like someone’s back yard. The decor is cheap looking and tacky.
Our waiter was delightful and attentive.
For the money spent, it wasn’t worth it. This is not fine dining and the prices should reflect that.

I've ordered from here twice. The first time was good, but this time not so good. They said they had a new person who started today so maybe that was part of the problem? So I'll cut some slack. The brussel sprout dish is still excellent and shouldn't be missed. But for dessert if you like carrot cake, skip the one on the menu here. It doesn't look like or taste like carrot cake. It tastes more like banana cake, but even the cream cheese frosting left a bad taste in my mouth. Also it was such a tiny portion!! I couldn't believe how small it was!! For $9.95 Let's just say it. $10.00 they should have been ashamed to serve it, first because of the size of the portion, but the whole presentation failed miserably, and then you had the way it looked and tasted. If they were smart they would either get a better baker or carrot cake, or different dessert. I was going to try the cheese cake but I just don't have $10.00 to throw away gambling whether it will be worth it or not.
Try this place though, especially if you want to have some really great brussel sprouts, they are worth the trip. I want the recipe.

Definitely not what I was expecting, I was blown away by the food. Went in with a pretty large group and we all ordered different stuff and it all came out perfect. I got the tenderloin sandwich and it was a perfect medium just like I asked. I also tried some different breads, soups of the day, and salads. Everything was fantastic. The atmosphere was great, good for a date or a group of friends. The service was good, only complaint was they could have checked on us more. The flip side to that was everything was perfect so not much needed besides drinks filled. And last, my Old fashioned was phenomenal!

Ordered an 8 ounce filet, medium, and it was well done and dry. Ordered it with mushrooms thinking it would be juicy and buttery, but no. No au jus or any juices at all. Fish fry was great tasting and will order that if we go back. One couple asked for a "thick" Grasshopper, and received a milky, runny grasshopper. Waitress said that the ice cream was soft already. Somewhat disappointing considering good reviews and fairly costly.

I couldn't wait for Easter Brunch here after reading my email as to what was being offered. We have always had a great experience at Sandra's such as dinners and my son's graduation party! Today was extremely disappointing. The waitress took forever to come and explain the process and take drink orders. We finaly received our drinks 20 minutes after we started eating. First, there were several items listed on the advertisement that were not availabe. There was to be beef tips in gravy over rice, my favorite, but no rice or gravy. The tips were dry, cold and sitting in an almost see through brown juice. I asked and the server standing behind the bar about the rice, and he said there were mashed potatoes instead. What if a person does not like mashed? There was not one vegetable anywhere . When a person in our party asked for gravy for their potatoes, the server brought salty au jus. Baked chicken was not available either, which was on the advertisement. They offered a sliced grilled chicken breast that was cold and dry. All of the food in the serving line was cold, old and hard. Only a couple of items in the buffet were refreshed in the hour we were there. The single serve containers of syrup reminded me of a hotel breakfast. It reminded my son of his school lunch. The only thing that was edible was the first piece of prime rib. The second piece that was brought was extremely rare and it couldn't be eaten. The omlettes were overcooked as well. The mini desserts that were offered looked like Wal-Mart specials: frozen mini eclairs(Delizza brand), store bought choc chip cookies and mini petit fors. P.S. We did mention to our waitress our disatisfaction with the food, but she looked at us like a deer in headlights. Another staff member asked "How is everything", but never waited for a response before running off. For what we paid, we felt we were duped.

Food was great, but service on a Saturday night was non-existent. Had to go to the bar for refills and napkins, table of 5 next to us waited literally 45 minutes just to get their first drinks and hadn't even been able to order food yet. Nearly every table was a similar situation, all looking around, wondering where their waiters went. Ordered lobster and it never came. Would have let the waitress know, but it took her between 45 - 60 minutes before she checked on us again... seriously. Getting the check after we requested it took 16 minutes, and another 18 to get our card back. It was our first and last experience here.

My family and I went to Sandra's on the Park for the first time for a luncheon after attending my cousins grandmothers memorial service. I went with my parents who are elderly and my father is an amputee. Thank God they had a wheelchair ramp for him to use while he was using his power scooter. Unfortunately because the luncheon of all my family and relatives was held In the lower part of the restaurant and there were many stairs by father could not get down, they just simply and most respectfully asked him how bout they sit him and my Mom In the dining room on the first main floor. And that was jus fine with them. The staff were very polite, happy and all really seemed to actually love their jobs and serving others. The food was absolutely delicious. I had the Osso Bucco pork shank and It fell off the bone It was so tender !! It was served on top of mashed potatoes. Which really they could have added a bit more potatoes seeing as I'm a lover of any and all kinds of potatoes, lol. Also had Brussel sprouts cooked with bacon and they were crispy and actually very tasty and surprisingly good. I would without a doubt love to go back to Sandra's on the Park to try alot of their other delicious sounding entrees. Oh and they have a nice patio area outside behind the restaurant that was really nice and actually quite full of people as It was a beautiful day that day and early evening when we went there. 5 stars. You won't be disappointed !!!

The garlic mashed was insanely good — basically everything was just so delicious.
I truly believe this place is the perfect example of what a classy restaurant is .
The staff is amazing and the manager is soo caring and helpful and cares about your experience.
