I have been coming to Sarku Japan at this location since I was a child (I'm in my 30's now for reference) and todays food and service was by far the best experience yet!
I requested extra "yummy yummy sauce" because I love the sauce so much and they definitely delivered on that request!!! It might seem or look gross to others but this is perfect for me! Thank you to the workers at Sarku Japan for making my day :)

Normally everything there is fine, but I will not be back after my experience today. I ordered my food ahead of time, but it was not ready at pick up because they claim to never receive the order even after showing them the order on my phone they still refuse to make it because they were a “too busy“. I had to act like a total Karen and refused to move until they made my food. It was awful and embarrassing. It’s a shame too. Service has downgraded way too much. First of all the amount of food they serve is way less than what they used to put, I always ask for chicken teriyaki with shrimp and extra shrimp and they never put the extra shrimp.. just charge you for it but leave the same amount of shrimp.. the way they treat you now is like they doing you a favor by selling you the food. The guys always gossiping in Spanish and talking about costumers and that’s just not okay. I’m probably gonna stop coming for good this time. Food isn’t good anymore, chicken taste more like burnt chicken then teriyaki.

As far as mall food court restaurants go, this is a decent choice. The employees were clean and respectful and working in a tidy environment, compared to some nearby restaurants. I used to love this place, however the employees seem nasty now. I was awaiting my dish and the cook said “ok” (as in, done), so I went to grab my food and I asked for more sauce, as I usually do. At first he ignored me (he ignored my husband too), so I figured he was ignoring me after the third time I asked politely but then he grabbed the dish back and flung it back down as a shrimp went flying and said it condescendingly “don’t MOVE IT!?” I had literally moved it a couple inches because I was moving it towards the sauce trying to help. It was a really embarrassing experience and I don’t think I’ll be going back again.

The older woman IGNORED us because her PHONE CONVERSATION was more important. We stood there while she was talking on speaker, the two gentlemen kept looking at us. This place has started to gone downhill. They never cook any of the chicken fresh in front of you anymore when you order like they used to a long time ago when it was run by Asian people. Now they just cook a bunch of chicken ahead of time and have it sit to the side. Who knows how long the chicken has been sitting around for. Then, we they ask you if you want extra meat and you reply yes and pay for it, they don’t even give you extra meat! It’s just a scam to charge you more. Cancel your dinner reservation and head to Sarku. One of the finest establishments in the valley. Delicious food, good portions, and at a great price. The teriyaki chicken with noodles deserves a Michelin 5 star rating. Double down on meat and save some for leftovers. You’ll be full and satiated for hours.

Even when the line is long they crush through it and get you your food quick and hot. Don’t believe me? Go try for yourself.

Used to love this place but the quality has gotten atrocious. Smaller portions, higher prices... that goes for most places. But now they seem to get orders wrong all the time too. Ordered two meals, and heard my companion who ordered say TWO but we only got one and while we didn't expect a free meal, we didn't even get an apology. The pair in front of us also had their order done incorrectly. Both times staff were rude and unapologetic about their own mistakes. The food is good, sure, but not good enough to endure all that.

Not only are the vegetables and rice portion getting smaller, the meat is significantly smaller too. The double meat we got today are equivalent to a single meat portion a year ago. All this while the price is getting higher. They even charge extra for fried rice now where as before it's already included free as part of the meal. Hands down my favorite food location within the food court. Orders are taken quick and the food comes soon after, they ask you about your preferences in terms of veggies and rice. The food is very good and I highly recommend the hot sauce if you enjoy spicy food. Ive also tried their fried dumplings and those were also very good. Be warned, the portions are rather generous. Absolutely wonderful. It's a healthy meal and it tastes great. Their meat is tender and moist, not dry at all. The vegetables are the same way, but are not overcooked to the point of flimsy goo. I don't add the rice as I avoid carbohydrates, but I've heard it's just as good as the rest of the meal. They have specials ever day and you don't have to wait that long to get your food. It's perfect for those who want a quick bite to eat but don't want fast food like Mcds or Burger King.
