We arrived about 12:30 on a Saturday. The chicken seemed over done with many black spots. Now charging 60 cents for fried rice. I know that's not much but it's irritating when you order double chicken which already has a $2.38 upgrade price. Normally a very good place to eat and I would come back again

So I ordered a teriyaki chicken and extra chicken extra sauce yesterday. If I had the option of adding a pictures to this review I would because it would show you that the rice is completely plain there's no sauce at all let alone extra sauce. I did get the extra chicken which is good because I was charged for that but if you give your customer the option of extra sauce give it to them and give them the sauce that it comes with to begin with. I tried calling several times and the phone number comes up on my phone and then it just hangs up, call ended. I tried calling the West side location and that one went to a fax machine so they just ignore their customers they don't take any phone calls at all. You can't message them on Facebook either.

UPDATE: I did find a way to contact them online and they were very responsive. Gave me a $5 coupon! Nice customer service!

This place used to have good quality fast food stir fry quality. It’s been a long time since I’ve gotten it and I’ve always liked it. Today I don’t think I can go back. I did get a couple bites in and noticed the steamed vegetables tasted bad, but I was there for the chicken. Later on I turned the vegetables over and saw the vegetables had cooked mold mixed in. INEDIBLE!!! Definitely use to be one of my favorite places to eat all these years. However, the veggies were hard undercooked, meat taste like charcoal, and the new hot sauce has no flavor and gross nothing like the old sauce. GET IT TOGETHER PLEASE! The chicken is really good. Rice is super good but super greasy. Nobody is wearing gloves atall , or speaks more than 3 words of English. They put all your food next to each other in a line and you just grab the open container. Pretty much street food but still good.

Chaotic and disorganized. You have really no way to tell if the food is yours. When you ask to clarify you just get yelled at and then ignored. You're treated as an inconvenience. I guess if you want an anxiety attack this a good place to go.

I love Sarku japan, I've been eating there food since i was a kid, its great fast and the amount of food is always appealing to the eye and makes your mouth water, anyone looking for alot of good food order here. We, my husband and I, love this place! It’s honestly hard to find a straight forward and good Chicken Teriyaki in Madison/surrounding areas (We live in Middleton). So this place is perfect for it. The price is more than reasonable for the amount of food you get, it’s hot and delicious, and fresh due to the high volume of orders they are making.

The veggies, the chicken, rice and sauce- yum! Plus it makes great leftovers, which I almost always have if I get my own order. A lot of times, my husband and I will split an order if we want to save money. It’s the perfect, not too heavy dinner or lunch.

I will say one thing, and that is that you have to like dark meat chicken because I believe they use chicken thighs. Not a problem to me, but I know some people prefer white meat chicken.

They also have a punch card system, so after every 6 you get a freebie- we just cashed one in yesterday!

The staff is friendly, quick, and I like how you get to watch them make the food.

Overall, this place is perfect for a a chicken teriyaki craving… definitely worth a try! There is a location in each of the malls here in Madison, East & West.

I’ve been here so many times in the last few months. I just can’t stay away! The food is just too good. I always get the teriyaki chicken with white rice and extra chicken. Recently they started to put cups of sauce near the pickup spot so you can ask for extra sauce and grab more! I like to put the cup of sauce on my white rice after mashing it. It’s delicious!

Food was good, rice was old, when ordering, they were out of orange chicken due to serious lack of communication from the front to the back of the store/location. This was told to me by an employee. After waiting 15+ minutes, I recieved my food and was not treated courteously by a second employee. He handed me my food without saying a word.
