Went for the Prime Rib special on Saturday; very disappointing. Though our waitress was an amazing woman and did her best to provide good service with a fabulous attitude, they were out of Prime Rib by 430pm, the chef was yelling at his employees loud enough to be heard word-for-word. Definitely over-priced for the quality of food. I had the Spaghetti (which tasted terrible, and I have never had spaghetti I didn't approve of; it's my favorite food) and my significant other had Shrimp and Scallop Scampi (which he wasn't fond of; $18 for 3 small shrimp and 3 small scampi on a bed of undercooked noodles). The yelling chef made the environment tense and unenjoyable. His bloody Mary was brought to our table in a can, again over-priced. We left our waitress a large tip because we felt horrible for the disrespect she had to endure from the chef. We barely ate 1/4 of our food, then got it to go and threw it in the dumpster in the parking lot before we left. We won't be returning.

Ordered from here for the first time during the pandemic and was blown away by the service and the food. The folks running the curb side pick up wete friendly and courteous. Portions were large and each dinner included soup/salad, coleslaw and fries. Cod fillets were large and delicious. Fries seemed to be homemade and not frozen. We've gone for breakfast before and it was very nice. This time my husband and I decided to try their dinner service for "date night." We were very favorably impressed! I had the short ribs, my husband had the fish. Both were tasty and beautifully plated. The service was top-notch. Prices were also very good.
We never get dessert but kind of had to as everything looked so good in the case. I had a wonderful coconut cream pie (which is hard to get right between the fluffy topping and the denser cream base).
You can see that they are really trying to create a more upscale atmosphere. We will definitely go again.

Hungry after a trip to see the eagles. Sauk-Prairie Grill is a family-style, sit down restaurant with an amazing menu. As I passed a display case of pecan sticky buns and frosted cinnamon rolls, I found heaven!! I would have tried their Belgian waffles, but on this trip chose a hearty breakfast of 3 eggs over medium (runny yolk, hard whites), American fried potatoes, bacon, and toast. The coffee was a medium to dark roast and refillable from the carafe left on the table. Wish I had stocked up on the bakery for home, but I was not thinking about food on the way out. Polite, friendly, efficient waitress. The order was 100% correct, served hot! Prime rib on the menu for tonight (Saturday)! Super clean. Definitely will stop on return trips!!!

This was my first visit, and I had the Sunday brunch special, it was very good! Service for food was extremely slow we ordered a salad and two appetizers and it took 20 minutes for it to be ready and there were only 4 other groups of people there. Workers were nice and the food was fine. I highly recommend their cheese curds. Overall it is a nice place but do not go there if you are looking for a quicker bite to eat.

The first and only time I went here. We got food poisoning. From either the cheese dip on the salad bar or the French onion soup. Within an hour of leaving the Sauk-Prairie Grill we had trouble stomach pains and the diarrhea. When I called the manager he laugh at me when I said we would never be coming back and the only thing that would make it right was our money back. First of all, I rarely write any reviews. I usually don't feel the need to. Today's experience changed that for me.
I have to start with that the staff was very courteous. However, after we were seated no one took our order for about 15 minutes. We were just a party of two going for breakfast today (Memorial Day). After about 40 minutes of waiting for our food, I asked where it was at and I was assured it will be out withing 5 minutes.
10+ minutes elapse, we finally get our food. Unfortunately one order was wrong and missing food. It was pretty frustrating. Also, $4 for two sausage links? Seems a bit high. Food was not seasoned at all. Bland to the point where we didn't eat more than a couple bites.
I understand it's a Holiday, but that's when a restaurant really has to plan ahead.
From what I understood, one of their chef's (or maybe THE chef) called in and didn't show up. We weren't the only ones struggling with our orders and getting all the food that was ordered.
In the end we left very unsatisfied, but the meals were comp'd. Hence the 2*. Staff was professional, however food and overall experience were a true let down.

The sausage and bacon and prime rib was out and my husband was told they would be bringing out the sausage and bacon, but when I went up they were still empty and the french toast had 1 slice left. I told the lady and she acted like she did not know it? Then you got served a small sliver of ham. No hash browns. The omlets were not good. No line when we went up. The biscuits were orange and left out, the potatoes were orange, old, and hard. The fried chicken was over cooked and orange. The sausage was under cooked and mushy. The French toast had a nice cinnamon flavor.....too bad it was obviously sitting for quite some time as it too was hard and cold. Food is good however since the change over the cleanliness has not been pleasant. My second time since the new name & opening. 8am. The first time was holiday weekend so I let it slide. Both times the floors a dirty, bathroom floors are sticky smelly, tables looked like they didn’t get wiped down the night before and the napkins with the silverware rolled up were clearly reused on the tables regardless of the food particles stuck to the black napkins. This worries me as to how the kitchen is ran and clean. I’ve been in food service for 20years and seeing this has made me not want to go back regardless the food tasting good.
