THE Sausage Haus has been an icon in Oconomowoc for generations. Honestly it should probably be on the List of Historic Place at this point.

So many great memories. From buying burgers and brats there with my dad when I was young to taking our deer to be processed. Walking down to get snacks and soda in middle school (Pro Tip: They always have intersting options) same in High School except driving haha.

It was nostalgic beyond belief going shopping for our annual 4th party with my parents, now in their 60, and stopping in to get my dad's favorite burger patties (They are as good as I remember as a kid).

P.S. They have the BEST jerkey on the planet but that also means it sells out in hours not days.

One of the best places to buy meats in Southern Wisconsin

I have been coming to the Sausage Haus for the past 5 years and find the people to be very knowledgeable and friendly. They have excellent prepared meals and great meats. I especially like their bone-in Ribeye, bacon, sausage and all-beef hotdogs. It is a rare gem but very typical for Oconomowoc. I would highly recommend as their prices are reasonable and service is great!

Some of the best meats around my favorite is the ground round. I have had tiger meat from many places and this is by far the best call in early and order it because it tends to disappear fast. I also love the pizzas and don't forget to hit up the deli area for a muffuletta.

Small business conveniently located in downtown Oconomowoc, this meat market has a great selection of meats and a large variety of sausages (German, Hungarian, Polish, etc). We love the smoked pork chops for grilling and the BBQ pulled pork tray for parties. I purchase fresh buns from a bakery rather than from them.
The staff is always accommodating and helpful. They do not take credit cards, only cash or check.

This has been a Hidden Gem in the heart of Oconomowoc for decades. Their Polish sausage is unmatched by anybody in Wisconsin. Their beef sticks and summer sausage are absolutely phenomenal. The owners and staff are always friendly and helpful. This is the kind of family business every Community should have. From Brats1 to hot dogs to ribs to steaks you just can't beat this place. You can take it home and cook it yourself or is able to cook it to Perfection right there for you. If I could give them more than five stars I would.

This place was recommended by relatives. While the staff are friendly, this butcher shop / catering place literally hasn’t been cleaned in a decade. Everything is covered in a layer of grease and dust, the kitchen flattop and deep fryers were completely black, flies were buzzing around equipment, crumbs were visible on many surfaces, and generally the place is very chaotic and messy, with lots if papers and post-it notes. Nobody wore masks, gloves, or hairnets (maybe one had a baseball cap?), and there appeared to be a lot of dirt between the semi-random display coolers and chest freezers; their vents were furry with dust.

Despite my doubts, I had one of their burgers, which was both big and flavourless, and while I didn’t get food poisoning, it took me ages to digest and a sleepless night.

On the way out, we noticed an ENORMOUS bird nest under the eaves.

This place is a local fave but I think they’re remembering the former management. Right now it feels like one grease fire or foodborne illness away from disaster. Please, county health, visit this place.

We had 3 pigs processed here this past fall. The hams were not cured properly, hams were cut and hamsteaks sliced, easy to see that they weren’t done properly but they wrapped them and didn’t say anything. When we brought one in to show them we were told they’d process for free next time, but I can’t chance having another 3 pigs worth of ruined meat. Bacon also turned out awful. Extremely disappointing all around as we’d heard great things.

Just grilled some amazing steaks from the Sausage Haus. It’s a real throwback meat market with great quality meat!

Just got some great brats! But unfortunately one of the staff doesn’t follow proper food safety guidelines. She handled raw meat, cash and some RTE without washing her hands. I wouldn’t have noticed, but one of my early jobs was working in a meat shop and it stands out to me when protocols aren’t followed.

I still love the quality here, but I’m knocking it down a star for food safety.

This place is AMAZING! I treated 2 friends to their amazing lg tacos and since I was there I bought some bacon for today's breakfast and my friend bought some cheese and pepper brats. My first visit to this place and I hope to get back there soon to try more f their food. I had the muffuletta sandwich. It completely filled a styrofoam takeout container! Cost $8.95!! It was delicious. Next time I would ask them to cut it in half or into quarters to make eating it easier. My husband had the roast beef sub and it was also huge and tasty. I enjoyed the vintage atmosphere. Interesting and unique local products are offered for sale: mustards, hot sauces, pickled products. The menu has many tantalizing options and the prices are super reasonable. Prepackaged to go meals and deli salads are available along with raw brats and various cuts of meat. There is a lovely park across the street with picnic tables so you can enjoy your food while you commune with nature.

this has been a favorite of my parents for many years. I got a take out dinner which was my first meal from this place. everyone was very friendly and professional and hard-working. they take a lot of pride in this place and it shows. I got the beef and noodles and it was a fantastic meal. dessert was a pistachio pudding type cake. it was much healthier than most of the sugary type pudding desserts I am used to so it wasn't as enjoyable just because I'm not used to eating real home-made gourmet desserts. I see myself eating here regularly from now on. EDIT: Got fantastic enchilada there today. $5.50 well worth it. I'm not sure if the salsa was homemade but everything else was. forgot to ask. try the beef sticks!
