Lunch last Tuesday - sat down at sushi bar and watched Chef video calling/handling on his phone (using swear words in Spanish), prop phone up on prep line, put gloves on, then kept touching and talking on his phone, grab a plate of sushi already prepared sitting out behind him on counter, dump it out, picked off garnish, and start using that to make my dish. I sat a minute debating on if I was going to be midwest nice and eat it anyway but decided witb the potential level of contamination from a dirty phone and who knows how long sitting out I wouldn't risk it. I politely asked waitress to cancel my order and the reasons. They kindly didn't charge me and I left. Will not be back.

Long time fan of Screaming Tuna! Always serving up fresh and delicious sushi. The Screaming Tuna Signature roll is my go-to roll and absolutely always need to start with a Crispy Spicy Tuna. Vibes are always good. #1 sushi spot in my book.

I learned about Chef Jason Morimoto from Chef Masaharu Morimoto's Sushi Master, and I have always been curious about Chef Jason’s flavor combinations since the judges on the show constantly made comments about how they’ve never tasted anything like his dishes before.
It’s really fortunate that Screaming Tuna Mequon started offering Chef Jason’s omakase “Weekend at J’s” on my birthday week and it felt like the right occasion to try his Sushi Master title winning food.
He definitely didn’t disappoint. Each of the 14 courses was a thoughtful exploration of taste, texture, and presentation, curated by a chef whose precision and creativity shone through every bite. Chef Jason shared stories about each course and brought the ingredients to life, his passion for his craft evident in every precise cut and thoughtful pairing.
With the intimate setting, every dish felt like a conversation with the chef, revealing not just skill but a deep respect for ingredients and tradition, with just enough innovation to keep things exciting.
This omakase was a masterpiece, and I’m excited to see what Chef Jason will craft next time.

Overall 5 star but very odd online ordering rules. Sometimes on and sometimes off, but even if online is off can call in an order so why limit a customer's choice on how to order?

Rarely have had issues with food quality or had an order messed up.

Crispy tuna app is good but that’s about it. The pieces of fish they are putting on the nigiri are not always the best part of the fish which is kind of the whole point. The lady also told me I had to pay extra for soy sauce after ordering a $20 appetizer 😂 like alright here’s another dollar for a drop of soy sauce. Idk maybe the Milwaukee location is sending their bad cuts of fish here or the chef doesn’t know how to prioritize which cuts their putting where. Try the Thai place in the market instead the Pad Sei Ew goes mega hard.

Went for lunch. Group ordered the spring rolls as an appetizer. Loved the peanut sauce that came with them. Shared the sesame chicken roll, lava monster roll and ninja pig. I don’t eat fish so I was pleasantly surprised at the options available to me, all were delicious. Had the Yakiniku-Don which had a nice flavor. They have a cool take on classic cocktails.

Did you know that today, one of the chefs here was featured on a cooking show? My respect and congratulations to the team’s recent achievements!

I really value how this location has interesting Japanese art books for purchase as well as Screaming Tuna T-shirts. How perfect for a super cute date! I suggest dining in this cozy restaurant earlier on a Thursday night.

After choosing the Hyashi Wakame and miso soup, I’m excited to taste the high quality freshness of the seafood and grateful for a coworker’s recommendation to stop in. I now pass this enthusiasm to you!

Excellently prepared and beautifully decorated with careful traditional presentation, I’m proud to learn of the ongoing success of Screaming Tuna!

I admire your high level of focus and creativity! Keep up the great work and I look forward to seeing you again soon! 🍣💯

I’ve gotten food here for a couple years and always loved their vegetarian sushi. However, last summer I got the same order I normally do and got very bad food poisoning. I suspect there was some kind of cross contamination or the veggies/rice in my sushi had gone bad. I’ve been hesitant to order from here since.

Ordered online because phone line continuously busy. Ordered buddha roll and several others. While the others were correct and good, they subbed out the buddha with a cheap shrimp tempura and crab salad roll. I hate crab salad, and the buddha roll is almost $20…since the phone line is busy, there is no way to get a refund. Will not be eating here again any time soon.

They told me it would be a 20 minute wait for my food, (2 simple rolls), which was no problem. After 40 min I was told it would be another 15 min tops. 1st time at restaurant. We ordered it “to go”, but were eating upstairs in the table area. Pork Ramen was fantastic according to my teen, though she did not eat the egg. I did. 😯 Seems the egg absorbed all the salt from the broth. Edamame was warm & had a pleasant salty taste. My tempura appetizer was soggy, not crunchy, probably from sitting in the condensed steam in the tray waiting for pickup. The tempura shrimp was in dangly pieces instead of a long single shrimp. My rainbow roll was warm, flavorless, and very crunchy with thick cut uncooked carrots. I prefer the Japanese-style thin cut carrots, however every rainbow roll I’ve ever had elsewhere was a California roll with a variety of fish on top. Cali rolls don’t have carrots. The crunch was unexpected & disappointing. The fish on top of the roll was paper thin. You can see the black sesame seeds under the fish in the picture. The rice was bland; maybe not the Japanese sugar & vinegar style rice. ,,,, I’m giving them 2 stars because maybe the chef is new, inexperienced, and because my kid loved the pork ramen. ,,,, FYI, My wife & I have been enjoying sushi for 20+ years & probably 3-4x/mo. ,,,, *in the pic, I had already eaten half the rainbow roll & a few pieces of shrimp.

Screaming Tuna in the third ward is fantastic but I would avoid this one. My wife and I stopped here to take my daughter out to dinner. She’s 5. We went to sit down and we’re told the table was reserved. We didn’t want to sit at the bar so we ordered ToGo. While ordering a couple came in and asked for a table. They were then seated at the “reserved” table. They clearly didn’t have a reservation. I can only assume we were denied seating due to the way we looked or because we had a child. I will never be coming here again.

I should point out that the table was two tables pushed together. It was set for at least four. If it was a reservation for two they could’ve separated the tables to accommodate us and the couple.

Some of the worst sushi I've ever had, especially at this price point. The sushi rice was dry and poorly seasoned. Both of the rolls that I had were incredibly bland. The spicy yellowtail roll was particularly bad. It was not spicy and the fish had a chewy/rubbery texture.

The staff was friendly and the service was fast. At least it has a nice outdoor seating area.

I was gifted sushi from Screaming Tuna by my aunt for my birthday on Sunday, May 17th. She lives out of state and wanted to get me delivery, we placed the order through GrubHub around 2:15pm. She received confirmation stating the food would arrive around 3:15pm, we left instructions to deliver to our back door and we were listening for a knock or phone call upon arrival. Around 3:45 pm there was still no knock or phone call so I messaged my aunt to confirm. Waiting for a response, I happen to need to go out my back door for something, upon opening the door, a wet bag of food falls all over my porch, it was pouring rain at the time. The bag ripped from being left in the rain and my take out spilled all over my porch. After bringing everything inside I message my aunt, she stated she had received a message at 3:30pm from the restaurant stating the food was delivered. The individual who delivered our food did not knock, ring the door bell or give any form of notification that our food was delivered. They very lazily did the bare minimum of their job by leaving our food outside in the rain. We have no idea how long it had been out there, 15 minutes maybe 30 minutes, if I had not needed something outside, I'm not sure when we would have known that food was just dropped outside our door in the pouring rain. My aunt gave a generous tip to the delivery driver and they could not even deliver the order properly. The food was fine but my experience was ruined by poor delivery service. I know that GrubHub is responsible for the driver but unfortunately Screaming Tuna uses this poor service so I can't say I would recommend this place for delivery.

The fish quality was very good when I visited. The waitstaff was pretty attentive, though it wasn’t very busy so there was a lot of standing around. There are a few kinks that need working out in the service area, sinks, water jugs, soy sauce bottles, but that’s to be expected of such a new place. Overall, the food was enjoyable and definitely the best quality I’ve had outside of Milwaukee, so I would probably eat here again.

I've been here three times and every time was excellent. Yes, they have a smaller menu than their flagship location, but their space in the Public Market is a lot smaller.
