I wanted to amend my original review. Joe, the owner did apologize for my experience at the restaurant. He was very concerned over my prior visit and invited me back to "to give them another try" which I absolutely will.
Went back to Skullys this morning. I had the eggs Benedict special.. excellent.. the service and Friendliness of the service, was also excellent today. I want to thank Joe and his staff for really reaching out. It was very professional and you don't see a lot of that, these days.. thank you..

We went to Scullys for brunch. We haven't been here for a long time. The place has changed so much. The decor was a study of wood. I liked it. We had omelets you get to choose 3 ingredients I had bacon, spinach, and Swiss cheese. The ingredients are sourced locally and the food was delicious. This being a Sunday brunch i also had a Bloody Mary. They make the mix themselves and have a variety of salt for the rim. It was very tasty.

First off, our only complaint:
No silverware, even after the soup was served. There were 9 people in the entire restaurant. No excuse, my friend.

Great view of the lake. Comfortable seating. Clean environment.
Soup was great. Fresh potatoes and cheese in a soup that's not as thick as your normal cream soups.
Wonderful tasting Long Island Ice Tea. Smooth
Pan seared chicken with marsala sauce... perfection
Again, fresh mashed potatoes.
Mild chicken wings were fresh but a little spicy for the wife. Don't let that scare you.

My wife and I wanted to support local and give this place a chance as we've never been here before. From the outside, the place doesn't look like much, but once you're inside it's a nice atmosphere. We were seated promptly and provided with menus from a nice friendly waitress. Unfortunately, things went up and down from here... My wife wanted to try the potato pancakes, but they were running low. Upon checking, the waitress came back and said they ran out. OK. I decided to order some cheese curds and they came out with ranch sauce. They were good and very cheesy (some cheese curds can be hollow and just breading, but not these). For our meals, I decided to order the pulled pork sandwich with more cheese curds (upcharge disclosed and accepted) and bbq sauce on the side. I wanted to try a bit of the sauce, but didn't really want high fructose corn syrup all over my pork. My wife ordered the kids menu grilled cheese and fries since she wasn't as hungry (price $7.89). The pulled pork was very good with a nice smoky flavor. There was some bbq sauce on it though, so maybe they forgot it was supposed to be on the side? It wasn't much though, so I ate the pork. The grilled cheese was kind of laughable as it was very thin bread with maybe one slice of cheese on it (definitely a kids grilled cheese, right?). The french fries were OK. We got the receipt and I noticed the grilled cheese was $19.89? What happened? Well, the waitress said there is an adult upcharge of $10 which we weren't told about. Basic math would show that this is actually a $12 upcharge, but what the hell? Nothing is disclosed on the menu about this nor were we told about this when ordering. And by the look of the grilled cheese, this wasn't an "adult" grilled cheese. Nice touch Scully's. So, $19.89 for a mediocre grilled cheese at this place... How do you mess up grilled cheese? And it was $2.51 more than a pulled pork sandwich LOL! NICE MARGIN! We gave our normal 20% tip cause, you know, support local. Shady move by this joint and feel ripped off. Consider this a one time donation. Won't be back.

Edit (20250915) - We appreciate your response and I did notice a credit on our credit card which was nice. I do agree there was some miscommunication here and we'd like to come in for breakfast soon. Support your local restaurants folks and IF there is an issue, Scully's wants to fix it. Thank you and bumping up the review!

I went here with friends and we all had an excellent meal. The service and food descriptions were top notch. The views of Lake Silver are also a nice plus. I'm from the Madison and chose this location out of several options on a trip to Lake Geneva. I'm glad we went out of way for this place and would do so again if I'm in the area.

I went to this small place in silver lake called scully's not one car was in the lot, seen them on FB. Went in on a Thursday great gal served us, all the food was fabulous and the drinks were great.
I came back on Saturday with my son and daughter-in-law.
Again not 1 car in lot and again amazing food and drink. Met one of the 2 chefs, Tim nice guy I Complimented his food. Stop in and try an appetizer or a cocktail. The bruschetta appetizer and pork tenderloin medallion with cherry sauce was amazing.

We happened upon this restaurant on our way home from Milwaukee and we were not disappointed. Everything is fresh, locally sourced and delicious, you could just tell the difference in the food. We both got what I believe is called the big messy breakfast and it had a little of everything, the sausage gravy was so good and the chunks of ham and bacon were huge and plenty. Also had a biscuit and hands down was the best I’ve ever had. We will definitely be back, so grateful this spot is only 20 minutes from us. Also the waitress was so sweet and attentive :)

We love finding new and unique places to dine especially for breakfast/brunch. We discovered Scully's by chance taking a Saturday morning drive and searching breakfast restaurants in the area. I'm so glad we decided to give it a try. This place is so great. It's a smaller restaurant with a modern farm to table vibe and delicious food selections. It's also located across from Silver Lake so you get a nice view out the large front windows.

The staff is super friendly and efficient. The menu has a lot of unique options. We ordered the Scully bites which are homemade fried donut holes dusted with powdered sugar to start. I mean a breakfast appetizer is so fun and these were heavenly. We also ordered the country fried steak which was so delicious. This was not a premade patty. This was tenderized sirloin steak hand dredged and fried with a wonderful homemade sausage gravy. My husband ordered the homemade corned beef hash - so tender and flavorful. Both entrees were amazing.

I highly recommend this restaurant if you are in the area and I also recommend seeking it out if you're not in the area!

Who knew!!! What a gem of a place right in my backyard. I am kicking myself for not trying this place sooner. Friendly, attentive service and GREAT FOOD! The Polpetta meatball appetizer was without a doubt the best meatball I have ever had. Moist, flavor-packed with such fresh tasting marinara. Everything here is fresh, local food, and hand prepared. The bacon wrapped meatloaf was simply amazing. No dried out loaf here. Nice charred crust, but juicy inside and packed with flavor. The veggie side (summer squash, zucchini, and potatoes) tasted like it just came out of the garden.
I can not wait to come back and try more of the menu!

5 stars not because Leoanna asked us to but because this was genuinely one of the smoothest, fast, and over all good trips to a restaurant I’ve ever had. I’m not sure there was something about this little place. Be fast it quickly filled at 5 o’clock.

My husband Kailen, and myself have been here on several occasions. Everything we have tasted thus far including breakfast, lunch and dinner was great!! The food was very fresh and tasty. The waitress Sam brings a lot of energy to the table and she is amazingly joyous and efficient… The cook consistently prepares delicious mouth watering meals. We travel from Chicago, to Lake Geneva at least four times a year, and we are headed that way now. We went for their fish fry Friday! Starting at the beginning, we were greeted when we walked in. The owner cleaned the table and we were sat. Server came over, told us the specials and then took beverage order. Upon returning, she asked if we were ready to order. Throughout, our server was attentive and not pushy.

The food was excellent! The clam chowder was smooth, flavorful and packed with potatoes, clams and other items. No corn thank goodness! I thought there was a hint of bacon too.

My fish was baked to perfection. The potatoe pancakes were excellent! My husband had fried fish and hand-cut fries. Marble rye and cole slaw were inluded. Plenty of food. The fish was so fresh. You could tell it was fresh!!!!!! not frozen and fried like most have.

We stopped in at Skully's on Friday for their fish fry. We were very impressed. I am originally from the Green Bay area and moved here 20 years ago. I could never find a good place for a Perch Plate in the Kenosha area until today. Skully's hit it out of the park for me. Perch was simply delicious and the potato pancakes were awesome. Other restraunts in this area have frozen perch, then fried and potato pancakes that tastes like flour, not at Skully's. I reccomend people to get fish at this place. Keep in mind, I ordered a double perch plate in this photo.

Hands down the absolutely best breakfast within 50 miles either direction of the Illinois and Wisconsin border. More than likely the best even further out, but that’s my usual driving range for a Saturday or Sunday morning meal. Without a doubt, the greatest eggs benedict I’ve ever had. Omelets are stuffed with ingredients and perfectly cooked. Ketchup on their hashbrowns should be a crime. Don’t sleep on the breakfast sandwich and never pass on their biscuits and gravy (you should get a t-shirt for finishing a full order). The cooks must love their jobs because it shows in their food and the ladies out front are the nicest people you’ll ever meet! Scully’s is the place to go for breakfast!!!

Ok, I rate food and drinks by past experience. I’ll start with the drink order. I ordered the Scully’s Old Fashioned. My benchmark is from my grandfather. He made them with such detail and care. They were the best and I have never been able to find one that came close until the one from Scully’s. It is my grandfather’s Old Fashioned reincarnated.
I ordered the Walleye dinner. Again, my grandfather, who was a great fisherman, had fish fry dinners after his trips to Canada. He fried the walleye in lard with a beer batter. It was the best tasting fish I’ve ever had. I rate all fish fries after that. Again, I have not had anything better until the walleye at Scully’s. It is my grandfather’s reincarnated.
Next, I had the potato pancakes as a side. My benchmark for potato pancakes was my mom’s. They were not good at all (sorry mom). Don’t get me wrong, she was a great cook. In fact we used to say that she should be a caterer. Anyway, that ruined me for potato pancakes. I kept trying them over the years and never found any I liked until Scully’s. So tasty. I will get them every time I go to Scully’s, which will be every chance I get.
Don’t get me started on the desert. The chocolate mousse was great. You know sometimes the chocolate mousse at some restaurants is basically just chocolate pudding. This was not. It has a chocolate cake bottom crust and a chocolate fudge top crust. Fantastic.
Oh yeah, we had the fried pickles for a starter. Better than Hooters, which is where they started and were considered the benchmark.
Scully’s is my new benchmark for all the items I had.

OMG. Best Mahi I’ve ever had. Light and tasty. Didn’t want to eat the veggies, excellent as they were, because I didn’t want to mix the taste with the Mahi.

It took us more then 20 minutes to decide what we wanted on the menu (all because everything sounded soooo good 😆) it was DELISH! they kept checking up on us and were truly everything you would want in a waiter. Very enjoyable I recommend it! Food you can tell it was definitely handmade and the waiters helped us figure out what we wanted in a meal (very helpful). Good job scullys you just gained 5 new customers!! Favorite foods so far are the fried chicken sandwich, creme brulee, rigatoni vodka pasta, spegghetti, fettuccine, Ruben melt sandwich, and their fried pickles! OMG good!

I asked for crispy potatoes for my skillet and they delivered. From the first bite you can taste the quality in their food. Even the hollandaise sauce was clearly scratch-made and I do believe I was tasting the onions might've been flambed or sautéed with a bouillon stock?

Don't let the outside/smallness fool you. We will defintely come back and bring friends too. Tip: Only a few parking spots available on the property so you need to park on the side street that's a business building away, approx. 45 ft. That's not far though.

This place is special! If you're not looking for it you'll pass it up. Make sure you stop! A quaint atmosphere with a view of the lake. The menu is focused and selection is adequate. Such care is taken in the preparation and service. All the staff is friendly and smiling. Get the farm fresh eggs and go crispy with your hash browns!

Got there at opening. Wasn't crowded at all. Was a very warm and inviting place. The waitress, Anita was very nice and super attentive. I ordered the special, the chicken fried steak. First time I had a hand battered one. It did not disappoint. The whole meal was absolutely delicious. I highly suggest eating there and ask for Anita to be your waitress.

Came in for Friday fish fry and ended up getting a burger and chopped salad and they were both excellent. Amazing service and food. High recommend. Came here after searching for a new breakfast place. I was sold on the REAL corned beef hash which was absolutely delicious.
The owner did come out when I went to the washroom to introduce himself to my guy which is weird, but it's not the food or the servers fault so I won't hold it against them.

Truly the BEST breakfast! Corned beef hash was spectacular - huge pieces of super- tender meat, potatoes, onions and tomatoes. Mouth-watering. Fluffiest biscuits in creamy gravy with big chunks of sausage. My boyfriend brought me here specifically to taste their bacon. It was worth it. Sam was a wonderful server - friendly, funny and attentive. Highly recommend!!

Don’t let the location fool you! This diner is wonderful! My skillet had farm fresh eggs, substituted potatoes for hash browns, cheddar cheese and delicious fresh rye toast. Blueberry and chocolate chip pancakes were great and you don’t get a friendlier server! An absolute must at Silver Lake!
