We don’t eat out much anymore with a family, but on the rare occasions we have in the last few years I’ve been really disappointed with the food. This was the first time I wasn’t disappointed in a long time! The burger was great and our waitress was super friendly and just slightly goofy in the best kind of way! We actually went here because I read that they do their fries in beef tallow. We didn’t confirm when we were there, but if it’s true, they deserve 5 stars just for that!

This was three times I've been here. The first, last, and only time. I ordered a drink off the house drink menu, to be told they couldn't make it. I ordered something else, which they had to have.
Then, when ordering appetizers, one that was on their on-line menu wasn't available on the current menu.
My daughter and I ordered entrees, only to be told they were out of both. It was 6:00 PM on a Tuesday. My daughters second choice was available. I ordered a Ruben, to be told they don't have Sauer Kraut. Then it's not a Ruben. Settled on a mediocre burger, as it was way over done foe me.
Needless to say, I won't be back. I did feel sorry for the waitress, as none of it was her fault. Her service was the only thing that was good.

Funks, and then Seminole used to have the best chicken tenders. Over the last couple years the tenders have shrunk significantly while the price has increased significantly. This time I think they are not making them the same. Just bad, and so sad. I will miss the good times but the owner is too cheap! Time to find a new neighborhood bar & grill.☹️

Seminole tap quickly became my favorite bar in Fitchburg! The food is great, I can't pick a favorite between the nashville hot chicken sandwich, the carnitas tacos, any of the smash burgers, or the delicious fish fry. I was not expecting the elevated cocktails, but Nick has done a great job at creating some original house craft cocktails that are well balanced and absolutely delicious. But what stood out the most from my very first visit was the people, great crowd and great staff.

Interesting first visit! Despite it being Taco Tuesday, the taco specials were not being honored that day, for some vague reason, which seems a little like Bait and Switch; so we ordered off the regular menu and the taco plates were very good altho' significantly higher priced. A nice selection of beers of tap, and the staff were exceptional, engaged and welcoming and attentive to regular customers. I'll return to check out other offerings and I salute the wait staff and the kitchen -- if administrative hiccups that screw up the menus in unpredictable ways are fixed, this could become a go-to lunch spot for us, in spite of the unavoidable TV screens full of sports yak and bad bar music played much too loud. UPDATE: a month later and Taco Tuesday seems to be no more, so don't be lured in by what you might read on the internet.

EDIT: Still good service & cocktails but watch out! They have a new chef and he’s putting a VERY heavy VERY flavorless lard sauce ALL OVER their once perfect smash burgers. So much sauce you can’t even tell if your burgers have been smashed and are crispy, so much sauce it seeps through the bun. It was so heavy it coated my pickles and they were inedible. Going to have to find a new local pub because this depressed me.

Fun atmosphere, DJ outside on the patio, sports on multiple tvs on the inside. The best smash burgers this side of town. They fry everything in beef tallow too!

I went to Seminole Tap for dinner tonight and i had the most amazing experience and waiter. Robbie was my waiter. She was so attentive and friendly! She had such a great attitude. I never had to ask her to refill my drink. She made sure our food was out to us in a timely manner. She checked in to make sure we were happy with our order and really made it feel seamless. She went out of her way when i told her i don’t drink alcohol to recommend something non-alcoholic about me. She is the reason that i will be returning again!

My coworker told me how good the chicken wings were, so I decided to try them.
They were very dry, as a former cook it seemed like they were at least from the day before if not longer.

So staying in Monona at a hotel and couldn't find a place to get fish fry that delivered. And found this location with delivery. Ordered the two-piece cod we could get it baked. One order with sweet potato fries one order with cheese curds. Unfortunately the fish came in a box with no padding underneath or protection so it was kind of greasy and messy sliding around in the Box. The fries were fine they were in a separate box. But the cheese curds were a blob greasy mess. We managed to pull them apart but they were just a big mess. And I had asked for utensils we did not receive any. And the description online said the rye bread which we were really looking forward to and sadly neither order had rye bread. The fish was good I admit it. But other items lacking

We stumbled in starving after a long day of errands, and wow—such a great accidental dinner. It’s a bar (we don’t drink), but that didn’t matter because the food was seriously good. The soft pretzel caught our attention. It seems like it’s a popular favorite for a reason.

Third time coming. Service was okay. Sat at the bar close to the front door. It was a lil busy, not a problem. I'm patient. We get our drinks and food in a timely manner. The bartender never asked if we liked our food, needed anything (refills napkins, etc) we had to ask for silverware and napkins. The wings were good, however the garlic parm sauce had almost no flavor. We ordered a half nacho with beef. The menu said there was cheese, but after digging around the entire plate, we found exactly four chips with cheese. Not only that, but the nachos lacked flavor entirely. We did get the jalapeño sauce on the side, and that was the only thing that had flavor(its made with pickled jalapeños) the Verde salsa that comes on the side also tastes only of tomatillos. Just overall disappointed. Its not worth another try to me.

Tonight we were in an unfamiliar area and did a real quick Google search for nearby restaurants. We settled on Seminole tap because we wanted burgers and because it was close. I'm so glad we did because everything was super good! Our server Abby was super kind and attentive. She had helpful recommendations and answers to our menu questions.

We had the Bavarian pretzel to start and wow it was so warm and soft and delicious! My entree was the New Glarus Spotted Cow Beer Battered Fish Fry and it was fantastic. The fish was super good and very soft and flaky. The breading was amazing. Crunchy, with a great taste. No tarter sauce even needed, unless you want, but it was good on its own!

Really fun atmosphere, a bit loud but its more of a bar vibe (plus a Saturday) so I expected it to be loud. It was a good experience overall and we will definitely be back!

The food was amazing and the atmosphere very relaxing! This place has great ambiance but the best part was our server Robbi! She was so polite and made the whole dining experience so fun and flawless. We had a sizeable group and she navigated the table effortlessly, getting each Order to the table without fault! Would def come back again!

Food here is pretty good for pub food with a good variety and great taste. They have an extensive tap beer collection. I love the event space because it leaves the main area low key for those that are just having a beer and finishing some work or having a casual conversation with friends.

Best of all is the service. Bartenders are great, especially Megan who always knows what I want and is friendly to boot. Can't remember the last time I even asked her to get a beer... Think Radar but for beer.

Seminole Tap and Lexie were great to work with for our team dinner. We had over 40 high school boys and we had the dinner in their party room. It was perfect. Food was wonderful (taco bar) and atmosphere was great. Highly recommend Seminole Tap for any party or get together!

The bar and food was terrible. Did not feel welcomed. Bartender only took care of there regulars . They need to be off there phones and concentrate on there paying customers. Burgers was cold and dry. Fry's not crispy and cold. Will never be back.👎

My cod was greasy and tasteless. My beer was flat. Our cheese curds were totally greasy. We didn't get silverware until we asked for some after receiving our food. My wife was excited to get the special (beef stroganoff) but at 5:30 PM, they were already out of it. Needless to say, there was nothing about our experience that would bring us back.

Didn't even get to order. Was seated at a table by the hostess and sat for at least 15 minutes. No one checked in with us. The table in front of us had been full of dishes when we sat down, and the couple who was seated there after us received their drinks and ordered food and we still did not even get acknowledged by any wait staff. In fact, she went right from the table in front of us and then checked in with the table behind us and no acknowledgment that we were even there. We left upset that we were completely ignored. Last time we were here, the food was good, but service was very slow, so I thought that was why, but to be ignored when others were getting attention was upsetting.

We hosted our work holiday party at Seminole Tap, in the private event space. It was decorated for Christmas, which made an already gorgeous room, even better. Lexie created such a beautiful event for us. She was amazing to work with, it was a seamless set up. The party was magical. The staff was amazing and fun. The food was delicious. Drinks were great! When I say it couldn’t have gone better, I mean it. We want to make it an annual event. I am so grateful for Lexie and the staff. Seminole Tap=perfection.

Great atmosphere and comfortable space. However, don't expect good service or food. 4 of us went on Saturday night for music and dinner. Music was great. First, had to remind server several times that we still needed our beers, after about 30 minutes. We then ordered food. Burgers, wraps, salads, nothing exotic. It took over an hour to arrive. Burgers were cold, onion rings were supposed to come with sauce, none, even after requesting aga. I understand that help is hard to get, but this was beyond. We may try again later, but for now, we'll go elsewhere.

When the new owner took over the food was incredible. Now it’s just meh. Room temp sweet potato fries; Reuben with very little meat. This is such a great neighborhood institution and we’ll pay for good food. But it’s just average.

Love this spot! I've had several different items on the menu and the food has always been great. The service at the bar and with a server has always been excellent. My most recent server was Robbi and she was amazing! She has a friendly & kind demeanor, has a strong knowledge of the menu, and was just a pleasure all around!
