LOVE this place. Good and coffee are both good. Highly recommend the rosemary shortbread and savory crepes. The sweet crepes are awesome, but I find you need to have someone to share them with. Great place to share dishes and try several things among a group.

I've been here 5 times and it's okay. I want this place to succeed because it's the only one of its kind, and it IS cute and niche. My stars are mostly due to being a vegetarian. They DO have vegetarian and vegan options, but every single time, they have been out of something on the vegetarian section OR if it's within the first hour of being open, still an issue where they aren't making 1-2 of the options. There is, at least, typically 3-6 vegetarian/vegan options to choose from, but I must say all 5 times it's been a bit underwhelming taste-wise. The most recent crepe I had was not fully cooked (very gummy and soggy), which is only mostly a problem BECAUSE this is a crepe place. That's all they make, not sure how this outcome happens. Especially for the $16 menu item.
Bakery items and specialty coffee drinks, however, are wonderful. I'll probably turn this place, in my mind, into a bakery & coffee shop instead, and I'll probably feel more happy with its existence. I do still recommend this plate to my carnivore friends, who seem to like this place more than me.
Absolutely not wheelchair accessible, and also as cute as the "upstairs" dining room is, it is very cramped.

Delicious savory crepes! And they really know how to caramelize onions. They should prewarm their espresso cups though as otherwise the shot cools down fast

Enjoyed the “Simple” crepe (lemon curd and blueberries) and an Affogato for Saturday brunch. Delicious!
The place was hopping but the line to order went fast and the food came out plenty fast and hot.
I’ll be back!

Everything perfect except the crêpes. Not the real deal but close. Hard to make French products that are so simple but at the same time so difficult to reproduce if you didn't grow up with them; Still worth a 4out of 5 but undercooked crêpes, arugula cooked inside the crepe instead of being served as a side, a full table spoon of mustard on top of the crepe... dill - which is part of the recipe - just sprinkled like decoration. results: a pretty tasteless crêpe. But if you don't know better, it'll work because the staff is super nice and the atmosphere great.

This is a wonderful place for a great breakfast it's set in what seems like an old house with most of the furniture being vintage or repurposed giving this a nice homey feel. They have a great selection of sweet and savory crepes and the staff is very friendly definitely worth a visit.

Wow this place is a must go to dining experience, while the prices are on the higher end your paying for more then the crepe which was so yummy, the atmosphere really stands out as must have Kansas city immersion experience! I got their seasonal crepe, the rhubarb crisp. I love a good rhubarb crisp and so loved there twist on it although it was a bit on the runny side for me. My cousin got their KC classic which I much preferred, the filling to crepe ratio was perfect! On top of it all they provide complementary water and coffee which for me was the cherry on top of my whole eating experience! Would 10/10 recommend a visit and check out their waiting poetry as well!

We can’t wait to go back! Everyone was really nice - service was great. Casual, bohemian vibe. Order at the counter and then find a table with your number and your order is brought to you. We were warned it would be 30 minutes before food was brought out - they were packed! We had our food in about twenty minutes.
Everything was freshly made - we had the AB&B, Crepe Benedict (delicious! The combo was really unique, we ordered it with salmon) and the Paris - a sweet classic. My suggestion is to go early or last two hours and avoid that busy window of 10:30-1:00 on the weekends. Put this on your “go frequently” list! Lots of seating - counter, tables and outside garden seating - but still waited for a table because it was so full:)
Street parking seemed easy enough. Cool little shop next door worth checking out as well.
(We just went again, only earlier in the day - not as crowded before 9:30 am on Sunday. Food and service were just as good! I tried The Clean this time - Lemon Curd and blueberry crepe - seriously AMAZING!! Go and try this! Just the right amount of tart and sweet - total food bliss!)

It is a great addition to the Riverwest. A quite spacious place with multiple styles of seating and with family-friendly atmosphere. However, the high demand and fewer open days make it crowded and slower to be served with your orders.
I like the idea of self-seating and drip coffee serving.
Crepes are freaking delicious and worth the wait for. The place is sun-lit and has a cheerful vibe in its colorful walls and hanging plants.
The servers are nice and many, however, customers are more, which is a sign of success.

Waited over 35 minutes for two crepe orders. A couple that walked in and placed their order 15 minutes after us got their food before us. By the time we had enough and were ready to get a refund and walk out, after asking the ETA on our food 3 times, it finally showed up. We took it to go, ate a couple bites in the car and were very unhappy with the quality. Saw it on TikTok, what a shame. I had high hopes, will not be back.

We came here for Mother's Day. The wait, we were told up front, would be about an hour. So, we ordered our beverages and sat, and sat, and sat. Just to get our coffee and soda took a half hour and the food didn't arrive for an hour and 40 mins. I wanted to love this place, but honestly it wasn't worth the wait. The food is good, but not spectacular. It's counter service only. You must get your own water, utensils, napkins, etc. Our table was very wobbly and lopsided. Cute decor. If I'm in Riverwest for brunch, I'd rather go to Wonderland.

This was a fast-casual restaurant, so after ordering at the counter, I found a seat at a table that I ended up sharing with other guests. The atmosphere was a little odd — there was no music playing, no water offered, and you had to bus your own dishes.
I ordered a pistachio latte, but it was disappointing. It came out about 25 minutes after I ordered and was only lukewarm, with barely any pistachio flavor. I also ordered two crepes: "The Clean," which had lavender lemon curd, and "The Bruncher," which came with salmon lox and capers. The lemon curd on The Clean was actually pretty good — bright and flavorful without being too sour — but the crepe itself could have been better. The Bruncher was okay, but there wasn’t enough salmon to balance out the dish.
Overall, it was an underwhelming experience.

Love Seven Swans-their crepes are delicious! The Frenchie with an egg is so good and the drip coffee is hot and strong! The vibe is cozy and cute. Staff super friendly. 100% recommend and will be back!
*My only recommendation would be to replace some of the tables in the main dining area. The wood around the base of table tops makes it really hard for most people to sit comfortably because your legs won’t fit under the table. I think this small change would help people feel more comfortable. This was a common complaint from the people who sat around us today as well since a lot of us were playing table swap for the better tables as other people left.

First time here. We will really impressed. Would definitely come back for another one of their many Savory Crepes.
Came on a Saturday morning. It was just after opening, and there were a few other small groups.
The staff was super helping in explaining the menu items, and giving personal recommendations. After a brief conversation we ordered a couple of Lattes. I got the very special Riverwest Fog (a variation on the London Fog with Cardamon instead). It was nice option, without being overpowering.
For food, I got the Vermonter Crepe and my friend got the Vegan Forest Scramble. Both were excellent savory choices. They were fresh, hot and very flavorful.
We sat out on the patio which had different size tables under a Pergola.

I was never excited about a crepe place replacing Dino's. Yesterday my honey suggested we go there. I had no idea. The intelligence in the compositions and the ingredients that went into them had me floored. The salad (thanks to whatever spirit you trust that we got the "large") was made from the best best best ingredients... Holy wow. The lettuce seemed like it was just plucked from a backyard bed... Totally fresh, and these were delicate little baby lettuces. Fresh FIGS whaaaaat??? The crepes were perfectly done with the perfect combination of simple ingredients. Not overthunk. Everything we had was perfect.

I enjoyed brunch with my friends on a Saturday. The restaurant wasn't busy. Service involves going to a counter, placing an order, and getting a number for your table.
The atmosphere is fun with mismatched chairs, tables, and the plates that look like they're from your grandma's cabinet. I have no idea why it's called Seven Swans, that still isn't clear to me. Perhaps if you read their website there's some lore.
The menu is great, it has a lot of options for sweet and savory crepes. I believe there were vegetarian options, but I'd double check the menu online.
The food was good, my cold brew honestly was just not good at all but eventually drinkable when enough ice had melted. It wasn't amazing food, but it wasn't bad by anyone's standards.
The unfortunate thing is that the timing of food can be a bit random. I ordered a few people after my friends and they were totally done eating by the time my food had arrived.
🐕There is also a patio that is dog friendly, which is great, I love a dog friendly patio.
‼️EDIT ‼️
♿Thank you to the owner for responding to my review! There is an entrance that's accessible. There are also tables of ADA height.
I appreciate the response so I can make the correction. It's very challenging for those of us with mobility disabilities to find places that we can go to. It's hard (both emotionally and time consuming) to call every place you may want to go to get food and find where you can get in, how soon you can sit so you don't faint, and if you will be treated respectfully. ♥️to you Seven Swans

Got to try out this cafe with friends! You order at the front and their staff brings you the crepes and drinks. I got the Campfire crepe (smores flavor) and butterfly pea tea lemonade drink with a raspberry scone. Some exclusive seasonal menu items are listed in-store by the counter. The food was very tasty and sweet. I would recommend getting a straw to mix up the lemonade drink, but it's fun tasting the tea lemonade tea combo as you progress through your meal.✨️
It's located in Riverwest about 2 blocks away from Colectivo Riverwest and it is a very cute location with a mural on the side of the building for group pics and a patio if you want to eat outside. There are no reservations, but it is a medium sized location where it fits multiple groups and our group of 9 fit at a large table in the back and you can call to ask what time might be best for large groups. They take credit, debit, cashapp, and tap to pay at the register which is very convenient. There's free street parking with a lot of spots and you can walk there easily from the bus.
Overall, can't wait to stop by again and try the different crepe flavors! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This is an adorable cozy place to grab brunch. The staff are welcoming, friendly, and very helpful with the menu. The crepes are light as air and the quality of the ingredients is very high. I devoured my crepe.
I returned here a week or so ago, only to find a sign on the door that said they were sold out of crepes. Rather than be disappointed, I was kind of thrilled for them. This is exactly the kind of small local business the city needs more of. And if you can sell out of the thing you’re known for making, then you must be doing something very right!

7 swans is a great addition to the Milwaukee Food scape! Why? Well, it is because of the quality, care, and innovation in their food. Savory and sweet crepes, delicious baked goods, and, honestly, one of the best chais with their homemade spice mixture. Just the right amount of food to be satiated, but not feel gross.
Homey. Bohemian.

The atmosphere has a farmhouse cafe feel which is quite pleasant, however it is very crowded. Love the mismatched furniture, however when all the tables are full, people had to get up to let someone from a different table pass through. Not that I'm opposed to letting people in and out, but when you're trying to eat while your food is warm and fresh, it can be a little annoying. Maybe one less table in the middle of the room so people can move around without others needing to move out of their way. It is sunny and bright with the store front being all windows so that was a nice change from many places keeping windows covered for dining privacy but also having very low lighting. There ARE a number of stairs. Several steps leading up to the entrance, and then more stairs to go from where you order and pay up into the actual dining room. We had a couple older folks in our group, and when you have to carry your own bakery and/or water/non-coffee beverage, it was a bit dicy for them.
The counter service was fine. Other than that we only saw someone when our food was brought to our table. No asking if we needed anything, no water glasses, no explanation that you had to get it yourself. Had to go find someone to see if I could get a box for my leftovers. They should describe this on their website as I go out to eat so I don't HAVE to do all this stuff myself. Not that this would keep me from trying a new place, but knowing that going in would then mean I wouldn't get put off by the surprise it turned out to be.
Now the food itself is outstanding. I got the Crepe Benedict, a side of bacon, and a chocolate chunk cookie. I ate the cookie first while I waited for my crepe because the bakery case is next to the register where you order and pay. I could not stare at my cookie while I was hungry waiting for my crepe. Meant I couldn't quite finish my crepe, but still worth it. The crepe was definitely delicious and the bacon was nice and crispy. I had to stop at Mom's on my way home so I gave her my leftovers and she absolutely loved it as well.

I got the goodfella (bacon, cheese, jam, egg) and really disliked the sour, pungent cheese. Would ask for a milder cheese (or none) next time. At first it almost tasted like the housemade jam was made from unripe, sour strawberries or wasn’t sweet enough, but I realized it was the overpowering cheese. It’s all I could taste, and with the salt and fat from the bacon it’s just too greasy for one crepe. I’m also not sure why it takes an hour to get your food. I appreciated the warning sign at the counter, but, it seems inefficient for a food that is kinda designed to prepare quickly.

Vegan crepes were spectacular! Varied options that included both sweet or savory. Absolutely delicious. I've been burned by not good Vegan crepes from other places- delighted to have finally found Seven Swans.

Visited Sunday morning for breakfast, was very busy but only waited two minutes for a table of 4. All the crepes we tried were delicious. Beautiful dining room, was a little noisy at full capacity but overall a delightful way to spend the morning.

Enjoyed a wonderful lunch at Seven Swans. The restaurant requires you to order your food at the counter, and they will bring it to your table. All of the staff were so friendly and helpful. The specialty coffee was hot and delicious and served promptly. I had the bruwer and onion crêpe, which was fabulous, and has me wanting to go back in order the exact same thing! Next time, I will go with more of an appetite, and sample one of the sweet crêpes as well as they look delicious!! This restaurant is a wonderful gem in the heart of Riverwest.

Such a wonderful vibe as soon as you enter and truly enjoyed my experience through my visit. Food was spectacular! We had the Winter Thyme, Goodfellas, and the Cinnamon Toast. The coffee and hot chocolate was delicious and the brownies are chef's kiss! Staff was friendly. Can't wait to return to try more.

Came here on a Saturday morning with a friend. I got the KC Classic which is one of their savory crepes and it was only okay. I feel like it’s my own fault for not going with a traditional sweet crepe, because I’m sure those are phenomenal. Service is okay for what it is; order at the counter and they bring out your food. So truly, service wasn’t an issue for us and everything came out as it should. The vibes are that of your grandmothers farmhouse; very cute! My friend got one of their seasonal lattes and really enjoyed it (how can you NOT enjoy a toasted marshmallow atop your drink?!). It seems to get very busy here on the weekends so be sure there’s a table then order your food. I would love to come back to try one of their sweet crepes.

I love this breakfast spot! It is absolutely delicious and a special place. The water and coffee are self serve, you seat yourself, and you clean up your own table, FYI.
Every single crepe I've had was great - sweet or savory, you can't go wrong. Goodfellas is my favorite, though. Huge pieces of bacon and perfect balance of cheese and jam.
I definitely foresee this becoming my new favorite place to eat.nthr coffee is awesome, as well!
They do offer take out, as well. If you dine in and order a to go order a long with it, all the food will come out at the same time.

The food speaks for itself. Everything is fantastic, and I've been saying for *years* that Milwaukee needs a full-class creperie!
They've gone for an "order here" / "seat yourself" model, which I don't always love, but it works the way they've got it situated, and even though it was nearly-full busy on a Sunday at 2:00, we got our food and coffees in a reasonable timeframe.
Staff are pleasant and enthusiastic. This place is a diamond in the rough, and if I could go there every day, I would selfishly encourage nobody else to ever visit.

Beautifully decorated, scrumptious crepes, friendly staff, and you get a special prize if you find the 7 swans - which was a fun diversion for my 4 year old. Appreciated the hours open on Thanksgiving, as we don't celebrate it but I still got a taste of it with the leftovers crepe.

First time here and was a nice surprise. Went around 830 on a sunday morning and wasnt too busy. Orders are taken at the counter and coffee they carry Ruby's coffee which was also a first for me. Coffee was good, atmosphere is warm, inviting, enjoyed our food. We tried the vegan autumn roasted veggie crepe and a sweet vegan Paris crepe. My wife and I enjoyed both.

My wife discovered this gem a couple months back and has been a few times since. I got to go for the first time this week and it was awesome. The food was so good. We got the Vermonter and the Forrest Crepes and our kids got the monthly special Butterbeer Crepes. All of it was so good. Also, though we have a nut allergy, they were willing to work with us, which we appreciate so much! Ambience is great, very quaint and homey. Can’t wait to go back!
