We were told they would be showing the UFC fights, and they had a bunch of posters for the event up in the windows and on walls, which apparently was just to trick people into coming in as they weren’t tuned in to the event and would not tune in when we asked. The false advertisement is not appreciated.

Historic bar, terrific service and great food. We had the handmade onion rings and flatbread pizza; Both were top notch. Bartender was very helpful with questions about unique tap selections and about the buildings history. Will definitely return when next in the area.

Old time saloon and grill in the main strip of The Dells. Lots of great beer in tap, a very good menu and always seemingly lively with Bachelorette parties. The walleye, wings and Caprese flat bread were all delicious. The deep fried meat balls in spicy chili sauce were different and absolutely delish.

The price on the website quoted half off on Mondays for shrimp and they refuse to honor it stating that it was an old menu or old website, even after we showed them. This place is rad. Someone was repeatedly screaming free bird during a really cool artsy band from ca. Obnoxious. The staff told them to leave!! How great that they care so much about original music and the listening experience to step up and remove this knucklehead.

I don't give a lot of 5 star reviews. To really earn 5 stars, a place has to do it all well. It doesn't have to be a wall of 50 taps, and a menu that runs on for pages, or a bar that's made out of polished unobtanium. Any sports bar can do that. What it really takes is good food, reasonable prices, and better than average staff. And some special _something_ that makes it stand out. The Showboat hits it on all marks. The layout is [more than] a little odd, the floor has lots of transitions to keep you on your toes, and the sight lines to the stage are a little funky. But - it's got a really good stage, lighting and sound system, and just a great vibe overall.
Beer list - more than adequate. I think there were 20+ beers on tap, covering a variety of styles and brewers, plus they had more in the cooler. Prices were more than reasonable as well.
Food - Really good, and reasonably priced. They use fresh ingredients - real lettuce, thick cut bacon, properly toasted whole grain bread, and crispy onion rings (french fries looked equally good).
Service - The staff can make or break a place like this (and they made it). Attentive to everyone at tables, at the bar, or queued up in the floor order line. Everyone hustled, everyone behind the bar was friendly, and there was plenty of staff to cover a band night.

So - 100+ year old bar, live music, good beer, good food, good staff. Yep, 5 stars and I now have a reason to visit The Dells.

Went for Steak Night with Adam Greuel and the Space Burritos. And everything was awesome! The music was so entertaining and fun. And they had 2 special guests this time. Art Stevenson and Mama T. All performers were just having so much fun! And the joy and enthusiasm was contagious.
The food and service cannot be beat. Had steak other times which is superb. Decided to try pizza this visit! Absolutely delicious and done to perfection.
And I cannot not say enough about the staff here. They truly welcome you and make sure you are well cared for.

Dirty, dogs off leash inside. Bartender sneezed into his hand and kept serving before washing his hands. Both bartenders were busy socializing and not providing good service. The bathrooms bad odor could be smelled 10 feet from outside the doors.

My husband and I stopped in on a Sunday evening for a drink and a small bite to eat. The bartenders were quick to welcome us and announce their evening drink specials. The atmosphere was quiet with a few patrons around, and karaoke was getting set up. We ordered the pizza fries and enjoyed our time chatting with the friendly bartenders who made our time there all the better. Would definitely go back on a Sunday evening!

We have come into town several times to watch live shows over the past couple years. The atmosphere is amazing, the clientele love their live music! Jesse has always been more than accommodating to us and other patrons needing extra help. This place is worth the 2 1/2 hours it takes us to get up here! Always a good time, great, over the top service, not to mention a great venue to watch live music! Best spot to watch your favorite bands! I couldn’t recommend Showboat enough!

Sorry cannot recommend this place Waited over an hour for a pizza! He came once and said that they only have four ovens in the meantime customers came in after us and got their pizza within 15 minutes and we still didn't have ours! If you only visit one bar in your life, make sure it is The Showboat! The selection of beer is unparalleled in the upper Midwest and the specials are stellar. In addition, they have the best staff in the tri-state area. Kacie, Dave, Taylar, Joey and Jenna are the greatest! They provided the most delectable drinks and made me feel welcome and special. When in doubt, ask Andy to make you the Upside Down Pineapple Flamingo Swinger (Crew) drink. You won’t be disappointed.

This is a really great local watering whole for the area. The food is great and the people and employees are really chill. The only negative thing about the place is the kitchen closes at 9, so if your looking for good after 9 you might want to grab a bite from some other place before coming. “I have been coming to the Dells for years and we never go there” I said as we decided to try Showboat Saloon, lured in by breaded, fried meatballs - when in Rome, right? The beer was the best thing, meatballs were tasty, thin crust pizza definitely has some frozen component (crust?) - it was not good. Stop in for cute atmosphere and a drink. Admittedly if I was super drunk I probably wouldn’t have known the difference, and I think that’s the draw. Cheers!

This is a gem of a music venue. Showboat brings great acts to the area constantly. They have great drink prices and the facilities are top notch. There was plenty of staff for a sold out show, it’s clean and well maintained. Ellis Bullard was my first show at this venue and I can’t wait to go back for more shows. We did have a few appetizers before the show, nachos and spicy pickles. Both were served quickly and hot. There is also ample parking right next to the venue.
